    It took Regal a moment to realize the cheerful Pegasus was in fact speaking to her. "[colour=#999999]Apologies if I seemed like I was ignoring you. I was just lost in thought. Where am I from? Oh Canterlot![/colour]" Regal answered a bit quickly, subconsciously trying to match the pace of the blue Pegasus and had to force herself to slow down after a moment. She hoped the other mares had not noticed. She felt like such a silly filly, all she had done since arriving here was make the hostess angry and stand by herself in a corner eating bon bons and sipping punch. Regal made up her mind in that moment that she was done hiding in the corner! She had not come here to lurk and feel ashamed. She had come here to socialize and meet other mares. Two of which she was now engaged in a conversation with. She politely cleared her throat before further replying to the red maned mare, "[colour=#999999]Cloudsdale must be simply beautiful, I've never been; being a unicorn and all, but I hear that is simply gorgous.[/colour]" She turned to smile at the grey Pegasus, "[colour=#999999]How about you,[/colour]" Regal asked politely, "[colour=#999999]Where do you hail from?[/colour]"

    Immediately she felt a little bit better about Marecon. She was determined to have herself a good time and nopony or train would stop her! She stood up straighter, pushed her stray bangs from her face, and straightened her necklace with magic. It was time to mingle starting here with the pair of pegasi. She would leave this convention with new friends or she would not leave!

    It is actually surprising how much my project keeps flying under the radar. :razz: Still I've been at this since December so it'd be silly to stop now. Thanks for the support, I'll have more news soon hopefully.

    As a veteran TCG player I find this entirely intriguing! After looking at the older cards I very much like the changes you made. Will be watching this thread and your tumblr :)

    "[colour=#999999]Mother stop fussing over my mane and hurry![/colour]" Regal scolded the pinkish older mare. The three of them were all dressed in their finest, Regal and her parents. Adamant Shield; Regal's father, was in his REA dress uniform, medals dangling from his chest, all freshly polished. Fluerette; Regal's mother, wore a vibrantly blue coloured gown made of fine silks that held to her small frame well and hung loosely from her flank to the ground below. Regal herself wore a much more subdued lavender coloured dress and silver jewelry to compliment it. Her mane was done up into little curls that turned up toward the sky around her neck. Fluerette had commissioned the two dresses from a friend in the 'biz' as she called it and fussed endlessly over the past month over fittings, colours, and every other little detail. Now that the day had arrived the two ladies had spent the morning at the spa and gotten their manes and tails done for the ball. Regal loved her mother but she was growing impatient with her endless pestering about out of place hair.

    They at last neared their destination, albeit a bit late; which Regal suspected her mother had orchestrated purposely to be fashionably late. "[colour=#999999]There it is,[/colour]" Regal announced happily as the castle came into view at the end of a long red carpet, "[colour=#999999]Canterlot Castle.[/colour]" She could see her mother's face brighten at the sight of it all, the glitz and glamour immediately flipping a switch in her head as she took Adamant Shield by the arm and started down the carpet, a big grin on her face. Regal shook her head and giggled as she followed behind her parents, trying to keep her composure despite her amusement. The beautifully armoured guard ushers them in through the Castle's massive gates.

    The plaza was filled with ponies of all different shapes and sizes, all mingling about with soldiers, friends, and families. Regal had never been in the castle before and her golden eyes took in every inch of the gleaming alabaster hungrily. She couldn't believe she had been so lucky to be able to attend this wonderful event. She looked around at different group of attendees; a tall graceful looking unicorn was conversing with a stallion with a black tie, what appeared to be siblings hugging, and so many more! She was a bit overwhelmed by the mere number of ponies in the place that she hadn't realized her parents had wandered away from her into the crowd, doubtless to find an old friend of her father's. She looked about unsure what to do with herself.

    Regal heard the telltale jingling of the bells on her door before a cheerful voice carried to her, [colour=#FF0066]"Good morning!"[/colour] It seemed that she had arrived just in time to open before her first customer of the day arrived. What luck! She gave the piece of metal she was working on with one last pound with the hammer before putting her tools down. "[colour=#999999]Good morning,[/colour]" She announced as she came from the forge to the storefront, "[colour=#999999]my name is Regal Steel; but you can just call me Regal, and it would be my pleasure to help you in any way I can.[/colour]" She smiled in a friendly manner as she looked over the customer, immediately noticing her finely crafter armour, clearly identifying her as a guardsmare. Regal smiled a bit brighter and chirped a bit nervously, "[colour=#999999]Oh wonderful, I'm always happy to help Equestria's finest.[/colour]" The mare gave a small wave around the shop where shields, helms, and assorted other armor pieces, weapons, and tools hung. "[colour=#999999]Can I help you find anything?[/colour]" She asked as she finished her wave by pointing a hoof at the counter that held a sampling of metal jewelry and accessories. Regal could tell the mare was not here to have her armour repaired as it was in near pristine condition and fit her perfectly, so she had to guess she was seeking an item that did not pertain to her work. This wouldn't be her day to prove herself capable as an armorer but at least she would gain a customer out of it.

    A clockwork orange' date=' possibly my favourite of Kubrick's stuff, and I do love Kubrick's stuff.

    Starship Troopers was enjoyable too, but the sequels were terrible.[/quote']

    Clockwork Orange was an amazing film. Agreed 100% about Starship Troopers.

    Now to my picks: I'm going to start with easy stuff. Star Wars Trilogies, Star Trek(s) 2009, Into Darkness, Generations, & First Contact. & LotR films.

    Titan A.E.(After Earth) was so original and creative! It had a lot going for it but was overlooked because it is animated. Along the same line is Treasure Planet, a wonderful reimagining with great visual style and a heartfelt story. Plus it is in SPACE!

    Pan's Labyrinth. Sure you have to read subtitles but it is 200% worth it! The film is beautifully filmed, with amazing cg, and great actors. Probably my favorite foreign film. It has one of the saddest endings too.

    To get away from the seriousness I love The Muppets, Labyrinth, & Office Space. Henson will always hold a special place for me.

    Foggy let out a chuckle at this and shook his head. "Nah, this be clean when ya been raised on a farm like me." He said with an amused tone. He did rather like the apartments here in Las Pegasus, but they didn't hold a candle to those in Fillydelphia. He didn't mind the cramped little place he had back home. In fact he preffered it. It forced him and those ponies around to be neighborly and encouraged community. Foggy could see how one could stay indoors for days here in Las Pegasus. The idea put him off and he would be happy to return home once his gig here was over. At least he had found some other visitors to tag along with and enjoy the city.

    [colour=#498995]"Come on you guys, let's go explore the city!"[/colour]

    [colour=#FFFFFF]Fog had followed the trio out to the balcony and took in the sights from the elevation. "Tis a Purdy city from up here," he commented, "I'm sue it be even purdier from street level nah?" He had to agree with Whirligig, he had been in this city for a while and had not taken the time to explore it. The time was now and Fogghorn was ready and willing to go.[/colour]

    Regal could not believe she had overslept! She rushed down the street to her small shop hurriedly, hoping nopony would be awaiting her at the door. "Half an hour!" She shouted at herself aloud without meaning to. How could she do this, she never overslept! It was all the birds fault she decided, chirping wonderfully outside her window and lulling her back to sleep. She would remind herself later to shoo them away. She did not have time for over sleeping, she was a working mare and had to prove herself if she ever wanted to be worthy of being a royal armorer.

    At least some luck held out as nopony was standing outside her doors waiting for her! She ran up to the small shops front entrance and fumbled for her keys. The building was a decent size with plain brick walls, the two windows on the front set in purple sills. between the windows sat a metal door with a big lock. The back half of the building was sealed off but seemed as if it could be opened up on the lower half to allow access. Regal finally got her keys in hoof and unlocked the door. She left it hanging open welcomingly as she turned the sign in the window around and began to open up the smithy. Curtains opened, candles were lit in dark corners, and the back entrance was opened with a bit of magical effort from the unicorn. She was ready for business and in record time! She could not help but feel proud of herself as she looked around her forge. She had come far since her days as an apprentice and someday she may just find her dreams in reach. That day was not today though and thee was work to be done!

    She lit up the forge and started cleaning her tools, she had a few commissioned pieces to finish up but they would be done quickly enough. She was ready and waiting for more to come, her eyes wandering to the door in case she missed an entering customer and the bells that would jingle if the door moved.

    I like her at least. 24 puts her in the front half of my list. I just prefer Diamond Tiara.

    I'll give you that Phil. She's 11th on my list & rated highest of all Filly/Colt characters. I love her design, & voice acting. Besides where would the CMC be without Spoon & Tiara?

    Regal took her badge silently and trotted back into the building, she could tell she had angered the mare behind the counter with her frazzled barging. Perhaps it was best to let her calm down before trying to mend fences, you can't forge metal without cooling it down she told herself. Regal tried not to dwell on her mistake as she made her way to the refreshments. she was in dire need of a drink after all those bonbons. She politely avoided the small crowd so that she could fill a cup before beiong engaged in any conversation. She did not want to further embarrass herself by soundign hoarse from dehydration. Her horn lit up with silver gray magic, a cup lifting from the pile aswell as a portion of punch; since the ladel was in use, that filled her glass. She took a slow drink and cleared her throat, much better. She watched the two pegasi at the bowl converse and couldn't help but giggle a little.

    [colour=#498995]I'm Whirligig, by the way. What's your name? Are you from Cloudsdale, or somewhere else? I'm from Cloudsdale, and I absolutely love living there! Have you ever been to a con like this before? I haven't - this is my very first one! Oh, you should taste the peanut-butter balls, they're delicious. I might trouble Greenbird for the recipe a little bit later on - I'm a much better cook than mummy bird and I would love to try my hoof at making some of these. Do you like baking?"[/colour]

    The fast paced string of subjects the blue mare bombarded the grey one with came out in a torrent that baffled and amused Regal. How in the world did she talk that fast? it was like the pegasus was on the most intense sugar rush that Regal had ever witnessed, and Regal had seen; and experienced, quie a lot of sugar rushes. Thinking about sugar made her want more so she ate another bonbon. She decided she woudl wait for a moment to politely intercede before tryign to join the conversation. Though given the blue mares speed of speech that could prove difficult.

    From across the room Regal watched in stunned horror as a stalliongradian mare caused a ruckus, singing and dancing an odd dance, if it was even a dance. She could not quite tell.

    Other Info: Regal's magic is the same colour as her coat if you decide to have her levitating the helm.

Foghorn followed the trio up the stairs, keeping stride with his new acquaintances. When Light holds the door Foggy thanks him before making his way down the hall. "Tis quite a nice place ya got here," Foggy comments, "much bigger dan me place in Fillydelphia."[/colour]
