    "Hehe ya...I'm not so great at helping ponies myself" Shadow chuckled before holding a hoof out to Compass "Anyway hey! My name's Shadow! What's yours?" he quickly asked before turning to Finny "Hey there Finny! Nice to meet you!"

    Shadow quickly realized that the filly herself was trying to talk to him! This immediately made the smile drop off of his face. He didn't like having attention on him, especially from fillies. "Oh umm...it was pretty funny..." was all he could reply, looking down at his desk and hooves, not wanting to have much to do with this strange filly.

    Shadow was trotting through Ponyville that day, looking for Leif. He hadn't seen her in a while. As he was walking through the central area of Ponyville, he noticed that Leif was on the ground. She had apparently collided into some other pony. Shadow chuckled at this, finding Leif to be extremely cute when she was clumsy. "Hey Leif! What's up!" Shadow quickly called out before turning to the other pony she had hit "Hey! What's your name? You ok?" he quickly asked.

    Shadow looked up from his desk, normally not interested in what other ponies were doing, but he heard something interesting. As he looked up he noticed a filly that had almost smacked into the teacher. A small sly grin appeared on his face as he thought of the circumstances she would be in if she actually managed to do it.

    ((Yay for bringing nothing to show and tell)) Shadow came to school in the same miserable mood he was always in. He slowly dragged his hooves to his desk, sitting down and then lying his head on his hooves, not wanting to deal with anything right then.

    "That...is actually kind of a weird name" Shadow replied while in thought, It wasn't very common for a pony to be born who's whole purpose was fighting.

    "W-why?!?" Shadow replied, still completely tensed up and unable to open his wings.

    Shadow immediately tensed up, not expecting this at all "W-what are you doing?!?" Talking to ponies was one thing, but being in contact with them was something else. He would NEVER let somepony hug him or grab him or do ANYTHING that required touching him. He just didn't trust ponies to do that.

    Shadow sat in the back, just listening to Delilah and Finny's conversation. [colour=#ff8c00]See, just like always...they stop paying attention to me... [/colour]he thought. He sorta liked Finny. Even though he was different, he was a lot nicer than other ponies. Delilah was still slightly annoying to him, seeing as she was always overly happy. He knew he couldn't trust them to be his friend. ((XD Sorry for not posting for a while, been doing other things))

    "Well..." Shadow said out loud before stopping. He never had anything to do. He had no friends, and he had no family. He didn't want to tell Delilah or Finny though. Normally he always tried to push everypony away, but Delilah and Finny seemed...nice. They were the first ponies who didn't instantly take an interest in him and 5 minutes later just leave. He hoped that they might actually be his friends. "umm...I don't really have...anything to do..." he finally finished. "I normally just...come and sit here quietly..."

    Shadow could tell something was up. It was pretty obvious to see that Finny wasn't saying something, but Shadow wasn't one to pry. If it made him uncomfortable he didn't have to talk about it. "So...Finny...what are you...doing now...?" Shadow asked, wondering why Finny was in Ponyville Park.

    "Hm? Oh...well...school is over for today..." Shadow replied. He was ok with the fact that Finny was blind, it didn't matter to him, but he just wasn't used to the attention. He never really had any friends so this felt strange to him. "Why...don't you go to school too...?" he asked curiously, not wanting to intrude but just wondering.

    "Umm sure! I guess we could!" Shadow replied happily, liking the new mare's enthusiasm. "So? You wanna start now?" he asked

    Shadow heard Finny say that he was blind, which slightly caused him to panic. [colour=#ff8c00]What if he doesn't like us just because we can see? [/colour]he thought. The new pony seemed nice, but Shadow still didn't like all the attention that he was gathering. He kept quiet the whole time, not wanting to disturb Delilah's and Finny's conversation. They seemed to be getting along well. [colour=#ff8c00]Only a matter of time until they leave me just like everyone else always has...[/colour]

    "Oh umm...sure..." Shadow replied. When he took a quick peek at Finny, he could feel something was wrong. Finny's grey eyes just didn't seem...natural. It kinda unnerved him. He couldn't keep quiet about it. "Oh umm...just wondering but...is there something...well...wrong...?" he asked shyly.

    Shadow saw the new pony walk close to him, so he quickly lowered his eyes again. "Oh umm....hey...I'm...Shadow..." he replied quietly to Finny, obviously not liking the more attention he was gathering.

    "...seeing as you take the energy of whomever you look at, why did you decide to look me in the eyes...?" he asked tiredly, obviously not liking the fact that she was sad now as well.

    He sighed, obviously still not wanting to make eye contact, but he knew that was the only way to get her off his back. He slowly raised his eyes looking at her with his normal sad look. "...happy now...?"
