Mane is slightly too long in the front, needing to be brushed to the side in order to stay out of his eyes. No facial hair (besides the obvious fur). Physique: Tall and lanky. Little muscle, but even less fat. Residence: Canterlot, in a small apartment on his own. He gets paid very little, so the apartment is rather empty and run-down, so he's usually outside doing other activities. Occupation: Musician; proficient with the trumpet, french horn, and the clarinet; though trumpet is his specialty. Cutie Mark: A trumpet. High Brass has always had issues with following tradition, and his name was no exception. He despised his name for many years, being outright forced to be a musician by his parents. He almost ran away entirely until one day a blind pegasus heard High Brass practicing and asked him to play for him. High Brass did so, and he noticed the stallion honestly enjoyed it and was being eased of his woes. After High Brass finished his performance for the blind stallion, he noticed that he had a trumpet on his flank, and there was whole new meaning to playing music. He now spends his days spreading music to the world in the hopes that he makes others as happy as that blind stallion was. History: High Brass was born in Canterlot and has lived his entire life there. He is the descendant of a prestigious line of Canterlot musicians, with marriages being formally arranged with other musicians. His father is Low Brass and his mother is Woodwind. He attended Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, and has since mastered his ability to play Batehooven's music entirely by magic. However, his magical skills in other subjects is quite lacking. High Brass always favored himself a wild card, so when his parents arranged for him to be married to Tenor Sax (my naming skills are remarkable, I know. ), he left to live on his own. However, he forgot that there are very few jobs for a pony of his talents elsewhere, so he swiftly returned to Canterlot to live in a shoddy apartment of his own. He has since made a friend in a griffon by the name of Beaksworth whom has greatly influenced High Brass's humor. Character Summary: High Brass has a particular talent for performing music, both with instruments and through magic. As a person, High Brass is highly predictable and makes judgments based on his emotions rather than logic. He is excessively optimistic and cheerful, and he always tries to brighten up the days of others. He is not very mature and will quickly judge someone as he sees them- for better or worse. If he likes somepony, then there is little that pony can do to alter his opinion. If he dislikes somepony, he will point it out at every meeting, no matter how good a mood he is in. He is quick to tell jokes, and while he may not seem serious about anything, he still has a good understanding of things (though sometimes he won't care and will act without regard). High Brass was born completely colour blind and can only see white, black, and grays.
