  1. Hey there!

This mostly looks good. And I would stamp it... but....

I think you were editing your history though and lost some of it.

    Specifically in this paragraph:

What exactly happened during the invasion?????? You started the sentence but never finished it! In fact, you could make an interesting bit of history using the angle of the invasion from the perspective of a rebel changeling! (in other words, one who WASN'T following Chrysalis into battle and was likely trying to HELP the ponies rather than do nefarious acts to them)

And [less importantly] how did he lose his left wing? Was it an accident while trying to escape the guard? Don't be afraid to go into a bit of detail. So long as you don't make it explicitly gory and make it an interesting story, it should be perfectly fine for CC. (for instance, one of my characters more or less blew her self up by accident resulting in scars and the loss of one of her eyes! I didn't go into the nitty gritty details, but the story is still there!)

We want you, and everyone to have fun in this more lax environment! So don't be afraid to stretch your creativity a bit!

This seems like it could be good character though! I look forward to seeing how you fix that gap!

    Whoopsy daisies. . .

Note to self: don't do character apps during ComSci labs. . .

    Expanded History field.

  2. Name: Duskfall

    Gender: Male

    Age: Young Adult

    Species: Changeling

    Eye colour: Forest Green

    Character colour: Charcoal Grey

    Mane/Tail/Other:

Duskfall's mane grew out just enough to cover his neck and his bangs go slightly over his forehead. When relaxed, his tail nearly touches the ground. Duskfall's mane and tail both are of standard changeling coloration: light sea green.

    Physique:

Duskfall's is slighly smaller than the average pony stallion. Although he is slightly muscular, his physiology doesn't allow his appearance to reflect this. Due to a run-in with the Royal Guard shortly after the Changeling Invasion of Canterlot, Duskfall no longer has his left wing and is incapable of flight.

    Residence: Manehatten Rooftops

Occupation: Duskfall works as a freelance courier for those willing to employ a changeling.

    Unique Traits:

With the loss of his left wing, Duskfall had to find other methods to get around, namely running. Back in his hive, Duskfall was well-known for his agility and smart movement through terrain and obstacles. To most ponies, the rooftops are where buildings vertically end. To Duskfall, they are conduits and pathways. Duskfall is also proficient with a bow, although he is by no means an expert. He is also fairly experienced in hoof-to-hoof combat and is specialized in disarms. Despite having adequate combat ability, Duskfall usually prefers flight over fight.

    History:

When Duskfall first went to work in the Changeling hive, he was responsible for bringing orders to the various infiltrators across the Greater Equestria and bringing intelligence back from these infiltrators. Unlike most changeling, Duskfall lked his job. Although it was his home, the changeling catacombs were too small and too restricting. Although he isn't claustrophobic, Duskfall dislikes small and tight spaces. He also dislikes the stress of espionage and infiltration. Hiding and backstabbing wasn't something Duskfall was skilled at. As a messenger, Duskfall was free from the confines of the catacombs, and could roam relatively freely across the Equestria terrain without having to worry about being discovered as a spy. Being a messenger of hive, Duskfall has come by most of the intelligence gather and most of the orders given out. Because of this, he managed to recognize the precursors to the Invasion of Canterlot.

Several months before the assault on Canterlot, Duskfall seceded from the hive. As he understood, the changeling needed the ponies to survive. If the changelings were to successfully perform of coup of the Equestrian government, there would be no more ponies. No more ponies meant no more food. Duskfall fled into the Equestrian nation, and into Manehatten, where he began working as a freelance courier, providing messaging services to those willing to employ him. His current clients are still uneasy about Duskfall, as Duskfall is toward his clients. However, several months of not backstabbing and providing quality service, respectively, have kept Duskfall and his clients on relatively good terms.

In the coming days of the invasion, Duskfall sent an anonymous tip through the Royal Guard lines, warning them of the impending invasion. Little did he know that Chrysalis and other changelings had already infiltrated Canterlot.

Having sent the tip while in Canterlot, Duskfall was trapped inside Shining Armour's shield. When the invading changelings broke through, Duskfall led as many civilians as he could away from the city. Some of these ponies, mostly those of the lower class, became his clients.

Several days after the invasion, Duskfall was pursued by the Royal Guard during one of this delivery routes. After being ran into a dead end, he was forced away from flight and into fight. After Duskfall had disarmed and incapacitated most of the pursuing guards, one of the last guards managed to sever Duskfall's left wing while he was distracted beating the other guard with the butt of his own crossbow. Duskfall responded in kind by firing an arrow into the last guard's knee.

Eventually, Duskfall taught himself to traverse the city in a different manner, using the rooftops as conduits and pathways. After a few months of scratches and bruises, Duskfall resumed his freelance courier service.

    Character Summary:

Duskfall seceded fromt he changeling hives several months before the invansion on Canterlot due to conflicting views of the status quo. After he resettled in Manehatten, Duskfall started a freelance courier service. When he lost a wing escaping Royal Guard pursuit, Duskfall taught himself to run and traverse the city in a different way.

Duskfall is cautious and suspicious of those in official positions, i.e. police, mayor, etc. Otherwise, Duskfall reamins fairly polite, moreso toward his clients. Due to the current status quo of his species' relation with the Equestrian, ponies who have tried to make friends with Duskfall found it very difficult to do so, only being able to be acquaintances.

Those who do manage to become to close friend with Duskfall had found him very amiable and even quite brotherly. He displays a deep loyalty to those he befriends. It's hard enough for him to get friends he knows he can trust; he plans to keep those he can get.

Recieved from his standard training, Duskfall uses the form of a charcoal Pegasus pony. His mane and tail are shaped similarly to his the mane and tail in his undisguised form. His mane and tail in pony form is white with a yellow streak going down slightly to the left of center. He uses a single white, unfurled pegasus wing with a yellow courier pack at the base as his cutie mark. Due to his line of work, Duskfall has found a lack of need for a disguise, and usually prefers to flee rather than disguise and hide when being pursued.

After he lost his left wing to the Royal Equestrian Guard, Duskfall changed his pony form to an Earth Pony.

  3. I changed my character's name and slightly expanded the history. I'm not sure about the history is expanded enough. If it's okay then I'll roll with it, but in the meantime, I'll be thinking of more background items for Sandspot.

Edit: Also changed Roleplay Type to "World of Equestria" :)

  4. Roleplay Type: World of Equestria

    Name: Sandspot - "Sandy"

    Sex: Female

    Age: Young Mare

    Species: Earth Pony

Eye Color: Sandy's eyes are a soft sky blue. Ponies often feel calmer when looking at her eyes.

Coat: Sandy has a sandy orange coat. Spots also has an orange-red spot over her right eye.

    Mane/Tail:

Sandspot's mane hangs very loosely, with her bangs just hanging over her eyes. Her tail is also very simply groomed, with only the inner areas combed while the outer areas split somewhat wildly. Sandspot's mane and tail are primarily a coral orange, but also has a salmon orange strip down the middle, splitting both tail and mane into three equal sections.

Physique: Sandspot is a small but healthy mare. Her relaxed nature gives her a fair amount of stamina.

    Residence: Baltimare/Whitetail Woods Border

Occupation: Sandspot is a professional competitive archer; she is often known for her well-focused shots. Since Archery season only lasts a few months every year, Sandspot is also a park ranger with Whitetail Parks and Recreation.

    Cutie Mark:

Sandspot's cutie mark is a two-shaded stone arrowhead, a very dark grey on one side and a very light grey on the other. The arrowhead is layered over a breeze curve.

Sandspot got her cutie mark after winning an amateur archery competition. One the final shot, Sandspot was down 9 points. She would have to hit a bulls-eye in order to get the 10 points she need to gain the lead and win the competition. Sandspot held her bow taut for a full five minutes before she finally let her arrow fly straight into the middle of the target. The crowd erupted into cheering as a two-shaded arrowhead and a breeze appeared on her flank.

    History:

Sandspot was born in the heart of Baltimare. Her parents had hoped to eventually have her inherit their market store. However, once Sandspot had seen actors at a circus perform trickshots with a bow, any chance Sandspot had of following in her parents' hoofsteps evaporate. One day, Sandspot's father planned to take her to the market with him to learn the family trade. Once he got to his store though, Sandspot's father realized that she had gone missing. Authorities were contacted and a citywide search for the filly had been initiated. Eventually, the police ponies has found Sandspot in Whitetail woods, where she was found firing sharpened twigs and sticks at trees with a makeshift bow.

At first, her parents had thought that she had wanted to join the Royal Guard. It made sense, since Baltimare was one of the major Guard recruiting center. However, they later realized this wasn't the case, as Sandspot was very much against violence. Spotlight's parents tried to bring her out to the market again a month later (and kept a closer eye on her this time around). The day was busier than normal, and her parents' figured out why when Sandspot gave them a flyer a stallion from a street corner was passing out. Apparently there was an amateur archery competition in a week's time. Well, if their daughter had wandered off into the woods to fire twigs and sticks at trees, maybe this was something she could do. Actually, this was something Sandspot's mother knew she could do. What else would you gather from her daughter's calm, but determined expression? Sandspot parents didn't mind that she possibly would not inherit the family business. Well, her mother did. Getting slapped over the back of his head by his wife convinced Sandspot's father to give her daughter a chance.

After winning her first competition, Sandspot went on to other competitions, winning various money prizes. These various competitions also taught her to not let her competitive nature seep into her social life, as Sandspot has lost many friends as a result. After an off-hoof comment by her father that, "[sandspot] would be able to take the Gold in the Equestrian Games!", Sandspot made it her goal to be an Equestrian Games archer. With that in mind, Sandspot went into professional archery.

Sandspot currently lives in a cabin just outside Baltimare city limits and just inside Whitetail Woods territory, although she does stay with her parents on the weekends. Archery season only seems to last for several months every year. As such, Sandspot is also a forest ranger with Whitetail Parks and Recreation. As a young mare, Sandspot hopes to be slated as a potential representative of Equestria in the Archery Competition in the Equestrian Games.

    Character Summary:

Sandspot is a very accomplished archer. She has very calm and slow method of approaching problems, much to the chagrin of the more impatient ponies. It never really bothers her though. It isn't a surprise since her motto is "Keep calm and carry on". Although she lived in the city for most of her life, Sandspot much prefers to reside in the woods and be surrounded by nature. Although she shows indifference toward them, Sandspot detests the presence of impatient ponies who like to rush things. She also greatly dislikes violence, and she will often try to find a peaceful solution to escalating conflict.

Sandspot often has mixed results when making friends. Sometimes her calm demeanor is a strong point in her friendships, other detest her passiveness. Those people who don't like Sandspot often have good reason for their feelings. Sandspot often buds into problems that isn't hers to deal with. Her slow method of approaching problems also means that she often has problems with thinking on the spot. Her performance in timed events will often produce mixed results. When time starts becoming an issue, Sandspot often begins to panic, which has a significant effect on her performance and attitude, i.e. reacting to other coldly and/or rudely.

  5. Yes, I do like changelings :)

It's a pretty long story, but in a nutshell, my OC, also named Duskfall, used to be super Gmodded. I mean, he was crossed over with like 10 different series. Reading good fanfiction, Fallout: Equestria particularly, inspired me to make my OC more. . . real. Eventually, I found a nice little niche for my OC as a changeling. I actually was going on here in the hopes that I could RP as a changeling. I looked at the species list though: "Guess not today Holmes." It's not a problem though; I have plenty of other OC's I can use that are eligible for use. ^_^

  6. Ya'll can find my mostly pony drawings here: http://thermalscoped.deviantart.com/

I actually starting drawing Halo fan art. As of now, I can't even draw humans anymore, even if I wanted to! I actually never started watching the show until early December of 2011, whereas I joined the fandom during the summer. PMV's are pretty darn entertaining. I've never been on a pony forum before, much less a pony RP forum. I do moderate a fairly large pony Steam group, although that's just mostly me making sure people don't harrass others in the chat or post R34 and the like. Does that count as being in a pony forum? No tengo idea.

I like fried instant noodles. You cook 'em up right and it'd the most delicious thing in the world. . . also one of the most unhealthy foods in the world.

I actually stopped RPing for about a year. The previous RP I was in, which was a Halo RP, had become stagnant. Either others lost interest or real life had gotten in the way. I never really was sure. Most of my knowledge of the franchise only goes up to Halo 3, while most other Halo RP forums out there have already included Halo 4 lore. Pretty daunting if you ask me. Pony on the other hand, I'm well up to date. When you want to look for something, Google does wonders.

Lemme Google That for You :)

  7. Hello guys!

As my profile over to the left says, my name is Duskfall (on the interwebz). I hopped into the fandom about 2 years ago, and I've been roleplaying since Middle School. Most of that was Halo RP though, so RPing in a more civilian enviroment is something new to me. Hopefully I won't be bad ;)

I also draw on my free time. . . also binge eating. . . xD
