Blade tried to block the magic attack but a stray fire ball exploded in front of him before his shield could block it. He flew backwards as shrapnel pierced his skin and his head landed hard on the ground cracking his skull.

Silent got back up as his eyes turned green and burned with purple fire. "You have great power..." He said, as he voice deepend. "But you do not know the power of shadow."

Silent lit his horn as a flaming force field formed around him, incinerating all the kuni before they hit. He lit his horn again as shadow magic blasted into Kage throwing him to the ground and burning his skin.

Blade jumped backwards to lean back under the fire wave, just barely missing the flames as they singed a few hairs. His lit his amulet and a light blue mist extinguished the flames. He drew a crystal knife and threw it into Uchia's leg, stabbing through it. He then left the power of the Heart reach out and bind him in crystal magic that held him to the ground. "There is no hope for you."

((Kill, don't even pretend that Thunder came out of that fight smelling like roses. It definitely wasn't an ass kicking. Lol))

Blade's amulet lit up and a force field blocked the vortex. He then put his blades together and knocked Uchia backwards with a heavy blast of crystal magic.

Silent looked at Kage unamused. "You again?" He said unamused as his horn lit up and his body seemed to shine a blood red color.

Blade's amulet lit up and he created a force field around himself, causing the fireball to deflect and blow the stone prison open. This was the toughest fight of his life, even tougher than when he fought Thunder. He knew he had to turn to the ultimate source of his power. His eyes glowed a light blue color as he held his blades to his sides. The amulet glowed furiously as he lifted off the ground. His whole body was suddenly engulfed in flames the color of the heart, and he shouted as he absorbed the true power of the heart. He landed back on the ground and created shockwaves of crystals that furiously slammed into Uchia.

Ash stared at Kage for a moment before nodding without speaking. "ASH!" Cadence cried as she embraced her daughter tightly, near tears. Shining glanced at Kage before looking at Ash. "Ash, who attacked you out there? It couldnt be a normal soldier." Ash was silent a moment before answering. "It was him...it was Silent Night himself."

Blade rolled away from the fire balls before they hit him. "Where are you, coward?" He said, noticing Uchia had disappeared.

Suddenly a stray blast of magic flew into Ash, knocking her out of the sky and onto the ground. She grunted in pain as she involuntarily returned to normal form. She tried to get up as Silent himself stood over her. "Hello dear." He said sadistically.

Blade blinked behind him again and spread his arms, letting his enchanted amulet blast chrystal magic at Uchia, with several small shards of crystal impaling his body. He then took his blades and cut an X into his chest.

Ash took her half dragon form and joined the Attack. The archers began to fired volleys of arrows at them. Silent saw the newcomers attack his forces. "Oh, the Order is here. How fun."

Blade blocked the strike with his blades before forcing him back and using the Heart's power to blink behind him, bashing his head with the hilts of his blades. "Many have said that, only one has come close."

Ash was stunned by the massive horde. "There's so many of them..."

Blade laughed maniacally at Uchia and wiped a tear away. "Oh, I like you already. Funniest thing I've heard in a while." He then composed himself and drew his blades, the power of the heart flowing through him. "Now then, you fellas are making a mess in my home. I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

"Wait!" Ash shouted, but was unable to get there before they teleported. She desperately turned and looked to Arial. "I have to go with them! My parents are in danger."

Explosions rang out across the empire as Silent's army rained down on the city. The legion clashed with the barbaric horde as the phalanx held their position fairly well, but it was difficult to hold them off.

Blade casually walked through the streets to the battlefield as explosions rang out around him.

Kane nodded. "I understand, my friend. Figured I'd offer anyway."

Kane nodded. "Kage, to the Empire as fast as possible. Go to the Elemental Castle and see if any will go with you." He looked to Radz. "You in the mood to fight?"

The Crystal Legion stood in phalanx formation, creating a massive wall of heavily armored soldiers armed with wall like shields and long spears. Inside the city by the Heart, the most powerful warrior in the Empire stood before the city's sacred relic. "Welcome back, old friend." Blade said, touching the heart and drawing power from it.

"Move forward. Show no mercy....and beware the Guardian." Silent ordered.

"I have a strange feeling he has other plans. We must be prepared for anything." Kane said, stroking Autumn's mane.

Silent stood on a large hill looking down on the Crystal Empire. "The Crystal Empire....such a beautiful city. Too bad I must burn it."

Snow smiled at Violet enjoying having Ash play with her. "I guess we don't have to worry about foalsitters. Ash is such a sweet young mare. She gets it from her mother." She said with a smile, knowing Cadence had raised Ash right.

Kane thought for a moment. "Do you know which way they are headed?"

The next morning Kane stood on his balcony watching the sun come up. Autumn slowly woke up and stretched her legs before joining him. "Any luck?" Kane asked, although he didn't get his hopes up, for the answer had been the same for months now. Autumn sighed and shook her head. "I think it's time we stopped trying, Kane." She said with a sad tone, leaning into Kane. "I think we should start considering other ways to find an heir."

In the Elemental Castle, Ash had taken some time off from training to help Snow and Arial watch their new foals. She was in the main room playing with Snow's daughter, whom Snow had named Violet.

Silent turned and went back inside his tent. "I want the men ready to move at 0700. We will march on the Empire at dawn."

Silent looked at Uchia as the fight ended. "That was interesting. Seems you've fought him before."

Silent turned back to his tent and began to strap his armor on. He was confident in Uchia, but you can never be too careful. He knew that they both underestimate what power he himself possessed.

Silent watched Uchia diligently as his soldiers were scrambling around. "Prove to me you can lead my troops..." He said quietly.

"Take care, friends." Kane said with a nod.

"Bring him to me. I want to personally end him." Silent said coldly.

"Glad to hear it. Maybe that will satisfy Arial for a while, eh?" Kane said with a smirk.

The kuni's tore through much of the army, but the horde's numbers barely changed. Silent walked out of his tent and caught a kuni with his bare hooves just before it hit him. "Seems we have a visitor."

"Long story short, the combined forces attacked the Lunar Republic together and took over the city. Firestorm and the Overlord of the Republic were killed and Killjoy brutally ended Chrysalis. There was finally peace again. The next 20 years led to Killjoy becoming the grandmaster of the Nightwatch, my father becoming the new captain and eventually the Battlemaster, and Trax and Tavi began the Sentinel project. But those are stories for another day, my friends." Kane said, finishing the story.

"Killjoy's brother Firestorm, who was the general of the Republican armies, had forsaken the ideals of the Republic and planned to conquer Equestria for himself. An alliance of Canterlot, the Crystal Empire and Trax and Tavi's organizations was formed, and plans were made to march on the capital. It was in this time my father met Princess Twilight Sparkle, my mother." Kane said, looking to the statue of his father on his tomb.

"That is also the saddest part of the tale." Kane said to Radz. "Trax and Tavi were involved with several organizations, and with some convincing they joined our cause. But while the team was away from Canterlot, a changeling swarm led by Chrysalis invaded Canterlot, and our beloved Princess was murdered. They say Killjoy's cries of pain were heard throughout the city and beyond."

"The Lunar Republic began to launch attacks on Canterlot, due to the belief they held that Luna was being mind controlled by Celestia and that she should return to power again. The Nightwatch led the counter attacks and the defense against the Republican forces. Among them were Killjoy, one of the greatest captains in Nightwatch history, and my father, Soulsceam. Killjoy was once a general in Celestia's Solar Army while my father was once an elite assassin for the Republic, having switched sides after seeing the atrocities the Republic committed. After a devestating attack on Canterlot, the two of them set out to gather more forces, and that's when Trax and Tavi came into the picture."

Kane looked back to Luna's tomb. Next to it was Killjoy's, a reminder of their love that few knew about. "When Luna became Nightmare Moon, she gained quite a large following. Among her followers were the original Nightwatch, an elite fighting force that did serious damage to Celestia's forces. When Nightmare Moon was banished to the moon for a thousand years, the Nightwatch split in half. One half changed their loyalty to Celestia, while the other half went into hiding. Over the course of a thousand years, the Nightmare Nightwatch went from a band of warriors creating a settlement to a massive fortified city. This became the Lunar Republic. The Celestial Nightwatch continued to serve Canterlot, but continued their traditions as warriors of the night. When Luna returned and was freed of the Nightmare, she took over the Canterlot Nightwatch, and over time they became several fathoms more elite than before, and now fought in the name of the Moon Princess." Kane stopped to let his guests digest that information.
