Kane noticed the young ponies getting uncomfortable. "Would you two like to hear some history? The war my father, Killjoy, Trax and many others took part in is one of Equestria's defining moments." He said in a somewhat better tone.

Kane waved a hoof. "No need to bow, friends. I may have a title and authority, but I'm no different than either of you. I bleed red blood just like everypony else." He looked back at the several elegant tombstones of legends past, including those in his own family. "You've come to the right place if you're looking for history. The Catacombs of the Nightwatch are the resting place of many legends." He walked over to the largest of the tombs, a statue of an alicorn raising the moon. "There she is, Princess Luna. Our Goddess of the Night. I can only imagine what divinity she holds now in the afterlife."

Kane smiled and nodded. "The very same." He said calmly, trying not to give the two ponies a heart attack with his presence.

Kane smiled, slightly amused that they didn't recognize him. In truth, he sometimes wished more ponies didn't know his as the king, but simply as himself. "It's a pleasure to meet you both, my name is Kane." He said in a friendly tone.

Kane heard the two young ponies approaching and stood up. "Evening friends. A wonderful night isn't it?" He said casually, as if he weren't the king, but a regular pony."

Silent looked back at him one last time before walking out. "You don't have much longer, little brother." He said to himself.

Kane knelt by the new graves of Trax and Tavi inside the catacombs of the Nightwatch at the Castle of the Two Sisters. Many were buried in the halls of the tomb, Luna, Killjoy, Soul, Trax, Tavi, Thunder, Black, the list was too long. Kane looked to the night sky through a small opening in the roof, and thought he saw a vision of Trax, Tavi, Vi, Black and Storm all together.

"Then maybe you will be of some use to me after all." Silent said, heading for the door. "We're heading North in the morning. The Crystal Empire will no doubt come to Canterlot's aid, so we must incapacitate them now before it's too late."

Silent stared at him for a moment before stepping away from the table with the map. "I just hope you know how to deal with these savages. They will massacre Canterlot if they had the intelligence to get there in time. I should have been king days ago." He scoffed.

Silent raised an eyebrow. "Well if somepony plans on being a general in my army, I'd at least expect them to know what the mission is. But if you must know, I am the rightful king of Equestria, and I plan on dethroning my weak little brother." He said coldly.

Silent looked at the strange visitor that had come. "Can I help you?" He asked sarcastically as he stood up straight.

((Feel free to throw in evil characters if you want guys))

Silent stared down at a map in the town hall of the conquered down. "We should have reached Canterlot days ago. These brutes don't have room for brains in their think skulls."

"Maybe we have a chance then." Kane said, looking back out the window.

A symphony of screams were heard as the maverick horde tore through yet another small town. Silent walked through, glaring at the captured soldiers and civilians. He stood on top of a crate and looked over the destroyed town. "From now on, I am your King, and not Kane!" He shouted.

Kane nodded before looking over at Ash. "If the Order can spare any help, it would be appreciated." Ash nodded before looking to the two new mothers. "They may need a while to recover, but I'm sure we can do something."

Kane took a breath. "We can't wait for him. Send a message to all other cities and towns in Equestria to prepare for war. We have to meet him head on."

Kane stared at Kage for a long while before turning away again. "If you can fight, I can use you." Snow held her newborn baby filly tightly as she wept quietly. Suddenly a guard burst into the room and approached Kane. "My lord....he is here. He landed yesterday...and he's making his way inland. If nothing stops him....he will reach Canterlot in a matter of days." Kane was dead silent as the guard told him this information. He clinched his fist thinking about Silent. "I will destroy him."

Kane walked to the nearest window and looked into the distance. Trax and Tavi were the closest family he had still alive, and now they too were gone. He stared at the sky as tears fell down his face. "How many more...."

((So did Trax have Kage with another mare or is it also Tavi's kid?))

"Wait!" Kane said before walking up to Trax. He embraced him quickly trying to hold back tears. Another member of his family, one he has had with him since his birth, was none gone. "Say hello to father for me..."

Snow screamed as her newborn filly was taken from her arms. Kane exploded in anger. "Search the castle! Find him!" He shouted to the personal guard that came with him. Ash ordered the acolytes to begin searching as well. Kane punched a nearby wall. "Why must my family continue to be harmed!?!" He shouted with rage.

The acolyte led them to the infirmary. Ash stood over Snow as she screamed in pain. After a few moments, the sounds of a goal crying could be heard. Ash wrapped the newborn in a cloth and gently handed her to Snow. Snow wept tears of joy as the filly looked perfectly like her and Storm. "He's beautiful...." She said quietly. Ash smiled but soon turned back to Arial to help her deliver. Kane stood by Snow's bed and saw the new filly. He smiled as his eyes watered slightly.

"AHHHHHHHH" Snow cried in pain as her delivery began. Ash remained calm and was going back and forward between the two mares in labor, instructing them on what to do. She actually had knowledge in delivering since she worked in the Empire's hospital in her youth.

Once they got to the castle, an acolyte greeted them. "The infirmary. This way."

Ash panicked as the two mares were both prepared for birth. She didn't know what to do in this situation. She then remembered how her mother always calmed herself down. She brought her hoof to her chest and breathed in before breathing out and stretching her hoof out in front of her. "Ok, it will be ok."

A guard came and whispered something in Kane's ear. He froze for a moment before responding. "Get me a transport to the Elemental Castle. We have a birth to witness. Two births."

Ash was still sitting with Snow, helping her get over her sadness. "Ash, honey, I can't thank you enough for-AHHHHHHHHH" Snow shouted as she felt a sudden pain and felt her stomach. "Ash, it's time....please, go get Arial. Hurry." Ash panicked for a few moments but finally turned and headed out the door. She found Arial soon. "ARIAL! SNOW'S IN LABOR!" She shouted.

A shadow filled the magic prison as it burst open and Silent escaped before she could teleport him back to Canterlot. More ships landed as the massive horde began to march further into shore. "Not today, dear."

Silent saw somepony killing his troops. His forces numbered in the hundreds of thousands, so it didn't matter to him. He noticed who it was an smirked, approaching her. "Well well well, to what do I owe the pleasure of meeting Radz herself?" He said slyly.

Kane smiled and kept looking at the sky, remembering the time when he was young, and Black and Vi were friends with Blade and Thunder.

((Radz is Kane's age so I doubt she would know him either.))

Kane looked up to the sky. "I just hope I did well raising him. I owe him that much after how badly I vilified him." He said with a sigh.

The port city burned as the armies united Maveris clans pillaged and raized everything in their path. Silent looked over the destruction. "It had begun, dear brother."
