Kane and Silent parried with each other after a long and brutal duel. Both were covered in scars and wounds and blood covered the broken ship they fought on. "It's over, Silent. I'll give you one chance to surrender, or you will all be sent to the bottom of the sea. Silent saw a juggernaut fire at them out of the corner of his eye and smirked. "You first, brother." He said as he leaped off the ship and safely onto another one. Kane didn't have time to react as he saw the fire come towards him. The ship exploded in a massive firey cloud as the ship was annihilated. "KANE!" Blood shouted as Ash stood in shock and awe that Kane was no more.
((Assume Kane is dead. Just go with it.))
-
Kane walked up to the head of the ship as it darted towards Silent's. Silent turned to see it coming towards him quickly and drew his blades. Kane leaped in the air as his ship slammed it's battering ram into Silent's ship, shattering it into pieces. Silent quickly threw a block up as Kane parried with him and the brothers began to furiously strike each other.
Suddenly another wave of Horde ships and juggernauts came in from the side and tore into Equestria's ships. Ash jumped off the ship she was on and turned to her dragon for. Blood leaped onto her back as she flew over the approaching horde reinforcements. He jumped off onto the nearest juggernaut and tore through horde sailors as Ash began burning the others.
-
Suddenly Equestrian ships began to blow up in first explosions as Horde Juggernaut ships began to fire massive balls of fire at them. Ash grit her teeth and blew towards a Juggernaut, igniting it and setting fire to it's fuel, causing it to explode. Blood flew off his ship and to another Juggernaut where he punch a hole through the hull and shot a flaming arrow inside, hitting the fuel and blowing it up as well. He jumped safely to another Equestrian ship easily. Kane could see Silent's ship in the distance and ordered his ship to charge it full speed.
-
Kane's ship destroyed another ship with its battering ram and he leaped off onto the enemy ship slashing through horde sailors. Ash turned to her half dragon form a lit a nearby ship on fire and annihilated its crew.
-
Silent growled as the heavy rains began to pick up. "The elementals are making a storm....it won't matter, they are doomed to die no matter what." The first two line of Horde ships began to press forward. The sky darkened more and they began to lose the ability to see clearly. A flash of lightning briefly illuminated something quickly coming towards the horde ships. "Knock knock." Kane said with a sly smirk as the horde sailors panicked. Kane's warship and the other Equestrian ships smashed into the Horde ships with their massive battering rams fixed to the front of the boats, tearing them apart and sending them sinking into the sea. Kane shouted loudly as his soldiers joined in the battle cry and the Equestria ships charged for the rest of the Horde navy, leaving behind a dozen horde boats sinking in ruins.
-
Kane glared out over the horizon as the hundreds of ships began to set sail. He looked up in the sky and saw that it was slightly darker than before, and he felt a warm wind blow through his mane. "Hope you brought your raincoats, friends."
Silent stood at the bow of a large warship adored with dark armor. He glared at the horizon where he knew Kane would come from. "Every one of them drowns today. The sea will turn crimson with their blood."
-
Kane took a deep breath and looked over his army. All of these ponies were here, about to fight and die for him and for Equestria, all while leaving behind their own families. Most of them would not return, but they still carried on happily, just happy to be serving their king. "Ponies of Equestria, my brothers and sisters, you've followed me from the day this war began. Some of you have followed me since I was crowned. Now I ask you to follow me one last time, as we stare into the face of annihilation. I ask you to join me in defending our home and our families from evil once again. Your sacrifices are not in vain, and you are not alone. All who have died in this war and any war prior watch over you, and the Sisters will guide you from the afterlife. Today we become a thorn in the side of tyranny. Today, we are Equestria!" The crowd cheered from Kane's speech as they were finally ready to depart. A soldier pushed off their ship from the shore as he floated out into the water.
-
Ash blushed but smiled at Steel. "I don't plan on it." She said, swishing her tail in Steel's face as she got into a ship.
Blood looked at Maple in the eyes deeply. "If anything happens, know that I love you more than anything in this world, Maple."
Kane looked back towards the direction of where they came, wishing he could see her again before the battle. "I'll return to you....I promise."
-
Kane climbed into the main ship in the Equestrian Navy. It was decorated with golden armor rather than the steel armor of a normal ship. A very ornate battering ram was affixed to the bow, and the sails were blood red and showed a mixture of a pony and a Phoenix. He waited for his friends to enter the ship before setting sail.
-
The final ship was prepared and set halfway in the water. The Equestrian Navy was stout, but it would still be a bloodbath to engage the Horde's powerful battleships. Kane set a hoof on the ladder and sighed. "Ready guys?"
-
Ash smiled at Steel and giggled softly, lifting him back to his feet. "You sure are intimidating Ally. I guess I'm glad we have you on our side." Blood saw Maple blushing and nuzzled her neck playfully. "You haven't seen anything, Ash. You should have seen her back in the day."
-
"He'll do it too. Believe me. When we were younger I was once legally dead for an hour before I got revived, and then Shadow beat the hell out of me for it." Blood commented as more Canterlot ships became seaworthy and went into the water.
-
Silent rolled his eyes before walking away.
The armies reached the coast and began to prepare the ships to meet the Horde on the sea. Kane sighed. "This may be the fight of our lives. Some of us may not make it."
-
Silent facehoofed himself and sighed. "Well, if you destroy my brother's forces, I won't stop you. Just....be careful." He said, not sure if Hazel could understand his fatherly instincts right now.
-
Silent looked at Hazel for a long moment, concerned for what Rose did to her. "Hazel, this isn't an ordinary battle. Maybe you should go somewhere safe and wait it out."
Kane smirked but turned to leave again. "Alright children, you had your fun, let's go." He said as he began to march away with the Canterlot troops. Ash followed close behind with the Order. Blood kissed Maple's cheek before following.
-
Blood climbed out with a smirk and nuzzled Maple's neck and kissed her cheek, knowing that she wouldn't be mad a him.
Ash lit her horn and warmed up her magic so she would be prepared for when the fight finally took place. She seemed far more calm and focused, mostly due to her frustration about crushing on Steel gone and the distraction no longer there. Fighting alongside him would also be helpful to her.
Silent looked at Hazel but shrugged it off. He went to her and kissed her forehead. "Hello my dear. How are you feeling?"
-
Blood sighed and slipped out from under her. "Hun, as much as I love that beautiful flank of yours, I don't need it suffocating me before a battle." He said with a smirk before swatting her butt with his wing.
The horde ships where one by one casting off shore. Silent walked around observing the progress. He got a chill down his spine a she thought about what Hazel could possibly do in this situation. He'd rather her not be part of the fight.
-
Kane raised an eyebrow at Radz's threat. "Father told me stories about Killjoy using rusty spoons on people. I guess Radz got it from somewhere." He said looking a the pencil.
Blood blushed and scowled angrily. "I wouldn't hate water so much if SOMEBODY didn't try and drown me because I beat him in a race when we were kids!" He said to Shadow before turning to Maple. "So are you, little missy." He said, tussling her hair a bit.
-
Kane looked over his troops and took a breath. "Let's move." He said to Oakly as he headed for the coast. "We have to get their with enough to to assemble our navy. This is the last thing I wanted." He said with a sigh, wishing he could have avoided taking on his brother at sea. Blood groaned in frustration. "Why did it have to be ships? I hate naval battles." Kane walked past him and smirked. "Sounds like somebody is scared of water." He joked. Blood growled at Kane. "Watch your tongue!"
-
"I have considered it, but I do not care about my bloodline. The safety of my kingdom and her happiness come first. Whatever she feels is best I will do." Kane said with a sigh.
Ash tilted her head at the strange substance. "What is it? Some kind of explosive?"
((Greek fire is legit. Greeks were geniuses.))
-
Kane cracked his neck as he gripped his sword and gave it a few swings. He looked up to the balcony of the palace where Autumn was watching him sadly. Kane sighed. "I will do whatever it takes. He won't harm anybody ever again when this is over."
"True, but wooden ships burn easily." Ash said, tightening her battle skirt as she lit her horn to make a few small streaks of orange flames to practice.
-
Kane walked out in his armor as the Canterlot and Crystal armies prepared to move out. "We have to catch him before he gets to the sea. If his forces get onto their warships, we're in for a beating. Horde sailors are the best in the world." Blood was putting his own gear on with the bat ponies as Ash prepared to move out with the Elementals.
-
((The next big battle is soon, it's going to be a naval battle. Timeskip to the next day?))
-
Ash nuzzled his neck and smiled as a weight was lifted off of her shoulders.
Kane entered the room and saw Autumn laying in bed. He sat down on the bed and ran his hoof through her hair. "You're always so nervous, Kane." Autumn said as she felt Kane next to her. "I can't help it. I'm trying so hard to end this war and the stress of it is astounding." Autumn sat up and leaned her head on his shoulder. "You were nervous before the war even started, but look how far you've come. You're going to beat him, Kane. I know you will." Kane smiled as he kissed Autumn's head.

Silent vanished and reappeared behind Ally, blasting her with shadow magic into another burning ship. He then looked to the burning remains of the ship Kane was on. He had done it. He had killed Kane. But for some reason, he didn't feel the joy he thought he would feel. He turned back and glared at Ally. "All is lost. Kane is dead. Surrender now." He said coldly.
Blood dived into the water and frantically began to look for Kane. He couldn't find him anywhere in sight. He finally had to come up for air, and once above the water, he saw the bloody and tattered cloak Kane wore floating by. "No.....he's really gone."
