  1. It was a busy day in Cashmere’s shop in Ponyville and he had a lot to do! Several orders had been coming in and Cashmere was in creative bliss! The designing , the fabric texture! The shiny gems that were being sewn on! His horn was glowing with purple magic as the needle swam it’s way through the fabric, and made a perfectly straight seam. The bag was soon finished, a lovely ensemble made from soft light linen in a gingham yellow and white stripped fabric and a lovely red ruby clasp to make it complete.

“My Client is going to love this” He said as he put the bag to rest on a mannequin to start on the next one, one hoof raised as he focused, some design on this bag was going to need to be hoof stitched and then his genius would REALLY shine! Oh the ponies face when he was going to see this bag was going to be sheer awe and joy.

The shop was prepared as always for guests, fresh cookies made with peanut butter, chocolate and a sprinkle of cayenne for a bit of bite, and a beautiful teapot brimming with a refreshing lemon mint tea to warm ones bones from the cold brought on by the weather outside.

It was always smart to make plans for unexpected visitors after all, one shouldn’t risk being rude or offensive to anyone they may meet.

  2. He sounds adorable! And I can see him having some kind of map as a Cutie Mark in his future (Fits Pirate and Adventurer).

Maybe add an incident the two got in while traveling. Or maybe his father still has a bounty on his head or is wanted.

Reno is pretty in the dark about that, plus I'm not wanting to write anything that Black Jack's player might not like .

But yes I am pretty sure his cute mark is gonna be a treasure map of some sort! or a compass He loves them (and NOT just cause Pip dressed like one just in advanced)

  3. Name: Reno Golucky

    Sex: Male

    Age: Colt

    Species: Earth pony

Coat colour: Pure snowy white with three little grey freckles under his eyes

Mane/Tail/Markings colour & Style: His mane is a messy minty green that sticks up in places and hangs in front of his eyes, while his tail is just the ittiest bittiest little bundle of green fluff.

Eye colour: Vivid green, almost always brimming with excitement

Cutie Mark: A coil of rope with a cowboy hat beside it, he got it while visiting the Apple Farm, AppleJack was trying to teach him how to tye a knot and the stubborn colt refused to stop trying even after she suggested he try an easier one, once it was tied she taught him how to twirl it, when that happened there was a spark in his eye and he released the rope! Snagging AppleBloom by the foot and did a perfect lasso! With that there was a small flash and Reno had received his cutie mark! Not only was it a symbol of his talent with the rope, but a symbol of his refusal to stop trying even when it got hard.

Physique: Reno is an INCREDIBLY TINY colt for his age, so small he can fit in a saddlebag and be perfectly comfortable. He’s not THAT delicate but he appears to be.

Origin: Originally they were from Trottingham, but now they live like Nomads! Traveling from town to town, city to city! All over Equestria!

    Roleplay Type:Mane

Occupation: No Occupation yet! He’s still going to school and learning the importance of things! But when he gets bigger he hopes to change his occupation to PIRATE! Or.. or maybe an Explorer! Or… or MAYBE!

Motivation: Due to his love of adventure and desire to make people feel better his only motive in life is to enjoy it and enjoy the beautiful world he was born into.

Likes: PIRATES! ADVENTURE! EXPLORING! Also chocolate cake! Chocolate cake is the best thing in existence next to Chocolate PEPPERMINT things!

Dislikes: The cold, ponies that he doesn’t know wanting to pick him up, he also has a severe dislike of snakes and rats.

Character Summary: Reno is an adorable tiny colt that is making his first mark in this world and is so far off to a pretty good start! He’s a bold independent adventurous boy with a “Luna may care” attitude yet is still sweet and innocent with bright eyed child like wonder.

Reno is from Trottingham with his Father BlackJack whom is a single father, Reno’s mother passed away a few days after child birth so he doesn’t remember anything about her, but believes she went to live on the moon! So every night he waves at the moon and hopes that she can see him!

When he gets agitated his mane sorta poofs up like a upset dandelion and is VERY protective of things and ideas that mean a lot to him.

Do not get him started on a Pirate/Ninja debate or you will have ONE puffed up little ball of defensive mess.

Reno’s family is full of the unsavory sorts, Gamblers, drinkers, the occasional bandit or two (Or five) But he loves them and currently looking through the rosy glasses of youth doesn’t see these traits. (Incidentally if you wanna be part of the family just let me know 83)

Thankfully Reno’s father up and left their home town to prevent their ways from leaking onto his young and very impressionable foal so Reno stays as innocent and sweet as ever even if they tend to travel a LOT because..well His daddy is a Go Lucky through and through so his ways tend to get them in trouble! When on the move Reno sleeps quite soundly in his Daddies saddlebag dreaming of his grand adventures!

The life of a traveler is a hard one yes but both of them strive to their best every day as they explore all Equestria has to offer, and who knows? Find the right town, with the right ponies and the right job for Black Jack ? Then maybe these wandering tumbleweeds will finally come at rest.

Edit:Reno is no longer a blank flank due to the events that happened in "A good Influence" Changed cutie mark and motivation to reflect that

  4. (LOL Thank you for your timing Danton)

"Um I..." Thank goodness for the distracting knocking on her door! Quicklime's wings straightened up and out as she glanced towards it "I'll answer those questions in just.. one second..um Enjoy your coffee!" She bolted to the door and opened it smiling softly "Hello there sir how may I help you on this..." She glanced around outside "Rather crappy day?" Saying on this GLORIOUS day would be stretching it SEVERELY.

  5. No I don't hide it at all, my personal opinion is if it's SO embarrassing to bring it up to the point of hiding your broniness from the world then to me you arn't much of one because you hide it and seem ashamed to admit it/ or embarrassed by it.

To me it's like "I have a good friend that makes me happy, lights up my imagination, and is good fun to be around, however my friend isn't what normal people call "Cool" So when I'm around others I never talk about my great friend because I'm embarrassed and afraid they will mock me for being friends with him"

  6. lol, I don't think you'd want to.

Even if you did, I have almost none of it online.

What exactly is your definition of "mine" or "yours".

I drew it, I scanned it in, and I colored it, There fore it is MINE, You stealing it and changing the color/adding to it makes you a theif not an artist.

  7. That's different, because dogs are alive.

As much as I love art and what it has meant for the development of humanity, I would not even think of taking a companion from someone else, be it a person or a dog or a cat or whatever. That is not right.

No matter how much a piece of art may mean, it is still not worth the life of a potential best friend.

    -facehoof-

He means if something belongs to someone else and you change one small aspect of it it still doesn't make it /yours/

  8. But as soon as you put something of yourself in it, something original, could it still not be called your own?

Sure others made the original, but you tweaked it in such a way that it creates something entirely different. To me, that is still art.

So you'd be perfectly okay with someone taking something you drew, tracing over it, leaving EVERYTHING the same and then adding.. oh say a streak of green to the hair?

No it's not your art unless you DREW the entire image from scratch, no tracing "Tweaking" Someone elses art doesn't make it yours .

  9. I completely agree with you. If something called OC, it should at least be mostly "O". The only time I recall doing something close to your Applejack-Rarity example was when I recolored one of my Twilight vectors. I changed her colors to shades of grey and made her eyes Red. I still called it Twilight Sparkle, but it was less than 25% OC in my opinion and thus not "OC" (to me). (By the way I called it "Twilight Sparkle: Shadowmare" and gave the Shadowmare a small bio)

Edit: Quick Question: If somepony made an OC image but then modified that OC later(like change it's colors), would you consider what he just made (the edited) OC or not?

If it's your work from the get go I don't care if you go back and edit/trace your OWN work XD the problem is when it is someone elses work .

  10. I understand what you're saying. [We are] being unoriginal and what not. But vectoring is helpful for those who want to make "real" art. Do you think people want to look at a pixely image with amazing detail else where? Allowing people to use and modify the vectors is what most of us do.

Your point is made more clear when you factor in Unoriginal concepts. October 15, the day Lesson Zero was aired, I could look and see several "Insane Twilight" vectors, several were identical (Except for minor errors and image sizes), as well as many "Rainbow Dash with Sunglasses". Later, they thinned out the images by only using the one of best quality, but point still there.

There is also OC vectoring where there is little or no tracing. Skills to make these are usually honed by Non-OC Vectoring. And even though I make a lot of vectors and have quite a few admirers, I do not consider myself an artist.

Because of many vectorers making low quality vectors, the standards for vector quality has increased. Just because you make an OC vector, doesn't mean it will get accepted to the Gallery.

I have no problem with maybe Vectoring a SHAPE of a pony that you like, and then using your own imagination to draw the tail, mane, cutie-mark ect.

The problem lies when the pony is clearly AppleJack and you just stuck Rarity's Mane on her head and made it rainbow XD

Wanting to do clean work is fine and dandy, it's not so fine and dandy when you pretty much copy over a screen shot line by line, don't change anything and then claim it's your vectored art XD

For my own Ponies I just used the Pony Maker, and plan to try my best to at the least study them enough to color them myself XD
