    Is it because it requires little skill or artistic talent? Cause, personally, I find a bit funny on how much praise [we] get for something almost anyone can do.

    It's the whole " I copied it therefore it is art" Bit >/ Tracing to me isn't art it's what you do PRIVATELY to improve yourself, you don't trace over someone else's work, change the color and then BAM "IS CREATIVE AN NEW CUZ DA MANE IS NOW DIAMONDS"

    “Thanks it’s my special fall time brew “ She said and chuckled bringing a hot mug of the brew over ot the young Knight in training and sat it in front of her “My name is QuickLime, a pleasure to meet you Miss Kite, what brings you out on such a day like today?”

    The young knight to be Pony was a little strange looking what wearing such armour and making so much noise but QuickLime was dying for ANY kind of company at the moment, closing the door behind the pony .

    “There is no need to be so rude” Quicklime replied sternly “And I’m not being snooty about it either, I know you didn’t mean to that’s why it’s called an accident” Shaking her head so her black and green mane and sighed lightly such a defensive little filly.

    The next part made her raise a brow “I never run into anypony else here either hence my surprise, you’re friends with Zecora? You seem like a lucky Filly, I’d love to get to know her, she and I do similar work…” Quicklime thought on it briefly “Minus the chanting I tried that once did not end so good… but if your flanks are bothering you I’m sure I could help with that”

    The little pony proceeded to go on about her cutie mark and Quicklime tilted her head “So you are quite the little runner then?” The little filly’s passion must be running if she thought winning a race would get it for her!

    He levitated the pen and signed it, putting the Bit on the counter and smiled" Oh I can understand that! I make designs by studying ponies, the color of their pelt, the shade of their mane, their cutie marks it's so fascinating" He said and smiled "But I need to make some sample bags for display and figured some pretty patterns would suffice for now you see" Cashmere smiled trotting over by him to watch " So anything with pretty pictures will work"

    He followed the other pony with light trots "Oh nothing too specific but I need inspiration for a bag and I just can't seem to get it so I figured looking at a few books with the designs in them would inspire me" He said "It is? Wow such a wonderful place you must really love books, I am Cashmere, it is a pleasure to meet you sir"

    Watching the papers he nodded "Alright and how much is the fee?"

    A Dapple Grey Pony wearing a Monacle walked into the library looking around and smiled heading up to the only other pony in the room "Excuse me sir! Do you have any books about embroidery ? " He asked with a happy smile on his face "Is this your library? It is positively exquisite! " Looking around at the shining shelves, the air thick with the smell of old and new books! IT Was heaven he could live here if he didn't love sewing so much "And I would like to get a library card as well"

    The silence was broken by loud crunching and clashing! It had went from being dull and too quiet to suddenly being far too loud for sensitive pony ears! Quicklime nearly dropped her cup before glancing up from her window and spotted the rather small physique pony in the armor very obviously a royal guard. Quicklime smiled softly and waved at the pony “Hello there welcome to Ponyville! You should really come inside it’s not fit for Pony nor beast out there!” Moving to open her door with her hip “Come on the coffee is still perked and piping hot and you must be frozen clear to your bones”

    She didn’t see new ponies super often but when she did she was more than happy to try and be hospitable , it was good for business after all and besides the weather was so nasty and dull it would be pretty cruel to just leave her out there in the cold.

    Well that it is basically a stamp that says the app is good to go by helpstaff, that we thinks it has everything it needs to be a good character. We then move it to the general accepted folder where a mod (or the admin) looks at it can gives the final thumbs up (in case we missed something) and puts the app in the proper folder. At that point you are good to go. :)

  19. Cashmere Needle {Final}

    I am curious as to how the name Cashmere comes into play. Cashmere is more notably a knitting and weaving yarn (made from very fine hair from certain goats) than a sewing thread. If a pony was to sew leather alternatives, and stronger cloth into saddlebags, Flax, Cotton, Sinew (from animals, so he might not use it), Rayon (which is artificial, sort of, but doesn't seem beyond the capabilities of the ponies like Nylon would be) and even multi-strand silk would be a better choice.

    I do have some ponies in Appleoosa who have specially modified saddlebags that they burn through pretty quickly on their adventures. Perhaps they are customers.

    His name comes from the fact that Cashmere is soft and gentle to the touch, It has nothing to do with his fabric choices.

    It's implying his Mother found him to be the softest cutest little fluffems..

    He's not gonna tell you that, no way on earth.

    Hello again!! I see a whole bunch of improvement here and I like what I see! The character is more dynamic and seems more three dimensional. You added that extra little bit to make the application all come together! Good job! I really don't see any problems at all. I like how you related his personality to his colthood and that he was teased. That can turn anypony a little snippy after a while.

    All in all a good application! He seems like an interesting fellow and I would really like to see him being played some time!

    P.S. You still have hand-bags in there. Hooves can be a pain sometimes can't they? Firs paragraph, second line, third sentence of character summary. Over to the right side of the page. It is hard to spot.
