  1. Presteza was already fiercely excited by idea of time travel and when her friend gave his big "YEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAW!" It wasn't in the mare's nature to not join in. "A-YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWW!" she chimed in alongside her friend, dragging the last syllable out for a few until she heard Rusty shut the door and laughed,"Oh righ'!" she blushed a bit at getting so easily caught up in the yell. As the displays changed she looked around,"U-uh ... anything I should be doin'?"
  2. The mare coughed a few times at the clouds of dust and nodded,"Let's hit the roa-- er timestream?... oh,woteva!let's just go!" she said with glee. She trotted over close to rusty, she still didn't know exaclty how this machine worked so she figured the safest place was next to her friend. The mare watched all the lights and gears and sparks lighting up and whirring to life, an incredibly potent maelstrom of emotions building inside of her along with her excitement. Wonder, delight, fear, nervousness and giddiness whirring like a blender in her chest.
  3. The mare just stood there, alot of these ideas of paradoxes went over her head but she thought she might have gotten some handle of what Rusty meant. Presteza cracked a smile as she witnessed the previously saddened stallion perk up and smiled even brighter as he rambled on, the idea of time limbo was something she thought she had a decent grasp of. Upon hearing him say they were going back in time she practically lit up in anticipation,"So after we get your friend back we can all travel through time together? ooooooh, That is gonna be so awesome!" she almost shouted that last part at the top of her lungs before she stood before rusty and gave him a salute,"Just tell me wot ta do, Boss!"
  4. "Oi... what about this?" she pointed her hoof to the panel. The mare looks at the labels and smiles, memorizing it's current state and looked to rusty. She pokes the older stallion's shoulder and spoke up,"this display looks untouched so it's probably exactly how it was when your friend first left." Presteza looks all around the machine for anymore clues that could be of help, still determined to help her new friend.
  5. Presteza nodded and smiled wide,"Of course I will! you hired me as an assistant and that what I'm gonna... well assist ya!" she extended her hoof to rusty,"Now... just tell me where start!" Her own voice full of enthusiasm as she waited for her employer to take her hoof. "I'm positive, We'll get your friend back!"
  6. "I-I see... wa-wait! maybe we can use that somehow?" she suggested in an optimistic tone."If he's remembered by someone and we could subject the machine to your memories... maybe it could target him and bring him back?" she said desperately trying to raise the stallion's spirit*
  7. *the mare's jaw dropped and her eyes widened at the sight of the machine it was definitely an elaborate looking device. trotting around the device and holding a hoof over her nose to protect herself from the dust she looked all around. "A time machine?! really?!... This. is. AMAZING!" she practically shouted, before zooming over to rust and going almost nose to nose with the stallion as she was swept up in her excitement, which soon faded upon seeing her friend's mood she backed up a bit and looked back. "I think a Time machine is an awesome invention! Think of all the tings ponies could see!"
  8. *She froze and let go, the device already partially uncovered she took a few steps back,"Er sorry ... we can move on if ya like!" she started to walk away from the device and smiled apologetically to her friend.
  9. The mare glanced back at the tarp and tilted her head at it,"Ya sure? what about this one?" she asked beginning to take an edge of the tarp in her teeth and starting to tug.
  10. Presteza listened to every single smell the stallion listed, her nose twitching a moment as she thought she heard him list daisies off. A smile spread over her face as eventually he mentioned trottingham park. The mare lifted her hoof almost as if to get attention in a class,"Ooh! oh! that one, the smell of trottingham park!" she said giddily before the dial appeared before her, her keen eyes searching the labels on the dial until she found the one she sought. she turned it with her hooves to the desired scent and relaxed as the smell of the foliage of the familiar scent of home wafted about. "such a nostalgic smell!" she said almost dreamily
  11. The mare thought for a moment, holding her hoof to her chin,"Does it only do bakery based smells or can it do others too?" she asked looking all around the device to see if there were any buttons that had labeled scents. ((OOC:sorry for the short post )
  12. AH yes... puncutation never was my strongsuit I never seem to grasp it perfectly! Anyway I've expanded on the travels with her brother... I worry if i put too much though
  13. The mare's icy blue eyes scanned all around the large room, momentarily resting upon the tarp covered invention rusty seemed to dread unveiling... but soon traveled over to a very large barrel or cask shaped device. The large machine seemed to have several pistons on top of the lid which had hinges on the back, just nearing the device both ponies noticed a rather sweet-scented aroma coming from the massive machine. Soon it would come to rusty; this was the prototype perfume and cologne machine he had started work on designed to make high quality scents in faster time than was produced by the current manufacturing method. Presteza's nose lead her to this large device and after circling it and finding no particular label or any tag on the contraption she turned to her employer,"What's this one? it smells incredible!" said the mare still a bit invested in the device.
  14. The mare went wide eyed a moment and looked to the stallion with a nervous grin,"erm... would I regret asking if the mouse came out of that ok?" she waited for the stallion's answer, whatever it was she went over to the apple and nudged the now discombobulated apple. "It's kinda warm... but we can still work on gettin' it ta work, right?" her lips curling into a kind smile as she rubbed her muzzle getting rid of the lingering warm feeling from the fruit. (OOC: am I allowed to make up inventions we find in here?)
  15. "Cool! at first I thought it just sprouted propeller's and flew over to somewhere" she chuckled an circled to the other side of the table next to rusty as he appeared to ready the machine,"We gonna test it?" she asked curiously. Honestly a lot of the talk of atoms and gravity had gone far over her head.
  16. During the statement of the problem most pony farmers might have with the device she seemed to be in thought for a few moments, still listening as they cantered over to the next device she spoke up,"It'd be neat if ya could build somethin' like one o' those treadmills to power them... although instead of immediately activating the machine it'd store the power until they got off, then they could activate it and while the machine stomped the berries they could pick more. That might kinda take care of the laziness problem, rig--" she was cut off by the sight of the new device before already curious of it's workings she almost laid her chin upon the table as she got a closer look only to jump back in surprise when the stallion planted his hooves on it, then listened to his explanation with a nod."It can? er... how does it work?"
  17. The mare slipped her hoof into the hoop on the tankard and waits for Rusty to pour himself one as well. Strolling closer to her friend she lifted her tankard and gestured him to do the same,"Cheers!" she said... well cheerily as she knocked her tankard to Rusty's before practically downing the drink in one or two gulps. A mustache of the grape juices on her upper lip for a few seconds before she realized it and licked it off with a chuckle,"Wow! This is delicious!"
  18. Posted My application to WOE!

Roleplay Type: World of Equestria Name: Presteza Sex: Female Age: Young Mare Species: Unicorn Eye Colour: Icy blue Coat: A yellowish tan has a few freckles on her cheeks Mane: Slightly over medium length, wavy and unkempt, Bangs Cover her left eye, back/lower portion of her mane kept in a for lack of a better term a low ponytail held by three bands and the ends of which looking as if dipped in paint or ink and giving it a paintbrush look. Tail: Long, slightly wavy, and unkempt with the end having a similar dipped in paint look as her mane although without the bands. Physique: Has a fairly normal build for a mare but has a bit more strength in her than a typical unicorn.Often wears a blue scarf. Residence: Has no permanent residence due to her constant travels. Occupation: Painter Cutie mark: A magical swirl surrounding a normal looking paintbrush, melding with the brush around its ferrule. As a filly Presteza was constantly looking at pictures and paintings, spending most of her time in her art class in the high class school her parents sent her to, despite this she was too afraid to try it herself because of her inability to use telekinesis like other unicorns and her love of painting details wasn't sated with only the use of her hooves or her teeth. Often finding herself fascinated with the paintings of professional art ponies she would often sneak out to buy book depicting many beautiful painting that would bring multitudes of emotion from her. On one particular walk an older mare Calling herself Atelier approached her and asked if she could paint a portrait of the filly, having heard of her family and hoping to paint one of them. She hesitantly agreed and after a few more visits with her new friend and eventually opened up to her, telling her of her magical problems and her fascination with the arts. The kind-hearted artist gave her portrait she made of her young friend and the filly spent a great deal of her private time admiring the painting for the brushwork she was learning about in her time with her friend. One day when they visited the local park Atelier asked her if she wanted to paint this place, after a few moments of stuttering objections she was finally persuaded. The first attempt was a clumsy affair using her hooves, the second attempt was only somewhat better while using her mouth and teeth to hold the brush, but the final product still looked off. Nearing the point of giving up her friend suggested using her telekinesis and thinking of all the she loves about paintings, she was hesitant; she could barely hold a piece of paper aloft with telekinesis. It took a bit more nudging from her friend, but eventually she tried. Concentrating her hardest she lifted the paintbrush up, engulfing it in her magical aura and with a great deal of focus on her painting. She produced a beautiful scenic painting of the park, with everypony in the background and foreground of her vision detailed nearly perfectly, as the crowds gathered she felt an undeniable sense of pride welling up within her and with that she gained her mark. Character History: Presteza was born in Trottingham to a pair of rich, high class ponies: an earth stallion named Bastion Trundle and mare named Silver Belle. Her mother had come from a long line of talented magic using unicorns. The foal was named for showing how quickly she could take to something, usually solving an toys that her parents bought her that required creativity or a quick wit in a flash. Life for the Filly growing up was somewhat uncomfortable, Time taken up by a great deal of magical studies that she always failed at and other portions of life being taken to fancy parties all dolled up. Her lack of patience for these things were often chided by her parents, but she never found any of this “Fancy stuff” to her liking. When her parents listened to classical music, she was listening to Jazzy types of music and excessively lively and passionate sounding beats she could dance to. When her aunts and uncles loved the lavish parties and dressing up, She found it dull and preferred to play outside even in the rain. Most problematic of all was her inability to control her magic to the point where her sneezing would make her accidentally cast the latest spell she'd learned of albeit on an often smaller scale. Upon gaining her Cutie mark as a filly she was nervous about telling her parents about it, while naturally they weren't exactly thrilled especially seeing as they were going to have to cancel her application to the school for talented in unicorns in Canterlot in the hopes they could help her learn to control her magic, but they still loved their daughter and did what they could to support her. Having read about all the wonderful, beautiful , and fascinating things and scenes in Equestria she decided she wanted to travel and see and paint as many of them as she could. Traveling alone in the world was obviously not the safest thing for a filly her age to do so they sent her brother to watch over her until she was old enough to travel alone. Life with her big brother, Silverheart on the road was at first pretty tense. Her big brother originally intending to apply for the royal guard but this sudden request from his parents to watch over his little sister until she was a mare was a rather notable setback. Silverheart and Presteza's personalities would often clash, especially at the start where Silverheart seemed distant and almost rushing the filly from place to place. Silverheart was much more calm and cool headed than his sister and preferred thought to action while Presteza would leap into a situation without thinking. The Most trying moment of their travels was when they traveled to the cold northern mountains bordering the crystal kingdom and in presteza's excitement she got lost in a snowstorm while trying to find the best place to paint the mountain peaks. It took almost an entire day for Silverheart to find her and it felt almost an eternity for the frightened and freezing filly who managed to find shelter in a cave. Silverheart was almost entirely sure she'd just yell at him for letting her get lost, but instead she threw herself into him and sobbed in relief into her brother. It was going to be a long while before the snowstorm let up and Presteza seemed to be catching a cold... not that she was willing to admit after having cried into her brother. The increasing number of her magical sneezes were becoming an issue though and Silverheart didn't want the fire he made to go out, but most importantly he didn't want his sister to freeze so he gave her his blue scarf. After a night where the filly slept peacefully against the stallion the storm had finally cleared and things they returned to their routine. Presteza painted the mountains but it seemed Silverheart didn't rush her at all, he just watched smiling a short smile as the filly painted away. While the hardships and adventures they endured in equestria were often quite difficult, their time in the mountains had been both their scariest adventure and the day they'd been closest. Once having reached Mare-hood Presteza bid her brother a sad goodbye at a train station in Dodge city, as she started to leave before she noticed a familiar looking garment being levitated lightly around her neck. It was her brother's scarf he lent her in the mountains, a small note on it saying she'd probably forget to try and keep warm without it. Before she could give it back the train was already leaving and Silverheart was waving goodbye from the caboose. Presteza went on and intends to go to even more fascinating (and sometimes dangerous) places. She sends paintings of her adventures back to her family as well as a few letters to her family every month. Character Summary: Presteza's Talent's extend to painting in various styles including but not limited to Acrylic, watercolor, and Oil and is capable producing incredibly detailed and high quality works very quickly. She has a fairly nice singing voice that can be heard if she thinks she's alone and wishes to liven up a lonely and quiet trip. Because of her problems using telekinesis and reluctance to use magic unless to defend herself in a tight spot she has taken to and developed an affinity for doing things the earth pony way, often using her teeth and/or hooves to hold objects. Her favorite benefit to this method is that it has made almost as strong as an earth pony is so tasks that require lots of physical aptitude aren't as big a deal for her. While she has mostly gotten control of any magical misfiring she still has issues with controlling her magic when she sneezes and as a result steers clear of daisies which she is allergic to. Ever since she discovered her talent one dream has been on her mind every day and night; To be the greatest painter in Equestria and travel outside of it and paint all the beautiful and wonderful things she finds and bring them back to show everypony what some of them may never get to see. Her love of travel was mostly kindled by the stories she read as a foal of Saddle Arabia and of the homelands of the Zebras. Because she wanted to do more than just see what the world beyond equestria was like she wanted to experience it for herself she often tries to do so before she paints target, a good example would be when she volunteered for a few weeks on a farm so she could understand how farming ponies did and felt about their livelihood. Presteza has boundless enthusiasm and love for all forms of artistic expression whether it be within her abilities or not and often takes time to watch performers or musicians work when she gets the chance or has the bits. She loves many types of music but has a strong preference for music that can be danced to or make a pony feel happy to be alive. Around other ponies she shows a bit of a tomboyish nature with tendency to become somewhat boisterous if her abilities are praised and can get rather depressed if somepony says it's not good enough, whereupon she will often obsess over making the painting better. Presteza gets along best with other artists and good natured ponies, however because of her trouble with the life of the upper class she often has problems with ponies who think they are better than others because of their upbringing. Despite her time on the road and experiences traveling she still shows signs of her sheltered upbringing with being rather gullible and easily manipulated, especially if her ego is pandered to, some of her other faults would be her natural lack of patience and near inability to stay still unless in an emergency... and even then it's pretty hard for her, She also has a habit of getting so engrossed in her work that she forgets to eat luckily she makes her characteristic straw hat that not only shields her from the sun, it makes for a handy snack and is easily replaceable. The items she finds most valuable are the Scarf given to her by her brother and the paintbrush Atelier gave her to paint her first landscape. Portrait:
  20. "Can do!"She said with great enthusiasm before circling the device and soon finding what seemed to be the correct button. She lifted up her foreleg and pressed her hoof against the button. the machine made various sounds of whirring and humming, soon the pistons began to fire up and slowly pound away at the bucket below. the sound of squishing of the grapes echoing and looked to her employer for the word to stop the machine. The mare smiled and lifted her nose up to the near the machine, the smell of the fresh grapes filling her nose, it took practically all her will not to drool over the delicious smell,"By Celestia I love the smell of grapes."
  21. The mare's thought drifted to grape juice for a moment as she strolled alongside Rusty,"Don' suppose we could test it out and get a drink could we?" she said with a cheesy grin on her face, "Or is it not ready for testing?" The duo soon reached the device and Presteza smiled bright as she laid her icy blue eyes on the machine. she idly cantered around the large device, inspecting every gear and cog and bolt and practically grinning ear to ear as she took it in, "It'll definitely make a lot of farming ponies lives a whole lot easier, huh?" ((OOC: No problem but I have a request you give a visual description for the machines so I have some more to work with ))
  22. bought a new comic trade =)

  23. She nods,"I can respect that! I mean I usually don't use magic all unless I'm in a tight spot and even then I can't do it without a special possession so I usually wind up kicking or fightin' like an earth or pegasus pony ... oh and I'd love for you to show me!" she said excitedly still glancing around. In all her travels she'd never seen creations the likes of what filled this huge basement and she was determined to memorize everything she saw.
  24. She nodded, carefully copying the stallion's hoof steps, looking carefully as they descended and taking a look at he employer for guidance and see if there were any sudden problems. Once they reach the bottom of the stairs the painter's jaw dropped and she gazed all around in awe. In her head she thought,"Now -this- is what I expected an inventor's lab ta look like!" it seemed as if the mare was having to restrain herself from dashing around the room and looking at all the various projects.
  25. The mare nods and smiles trotting over to the hat rack and bringing the hat over in her teeth and tossing it, the hat arching in the air and landing perfectly on the stallion' head, "there ya go!" she said cheerily before grabbing her own hat and tossing it up in the air and catching it on her head, making sure to make her horn fit in the cut out hole in it. :lead the way!"
