  1. ((I have a hard time with emotional scenes either I dont make them dramatic enough, or I make them too dramatic and use a lot of cliches.)) Rusty hugged the mare tightly, sighing releived "Sweet Celestia Presteza! Ah thought Ah lost ya..." he stayed silent for a few momets, releasing the mare from his hug "Ah promise, I'll never put you through mortal danger again.." he said somewhat sarcastically, chuckling after because how odd that sounded." he rubbed the back of his neck, "Also... Ab probably shoulda told you... uhm... the chances of a Unicorn surviving this were... uhm... 3 million to 1... me and mah friend scrap were gonna take this out..." somthig clicked in his mind, "Oh wait, were supposed to be saving him! C'mon Pressy.. les..." he was interupted when the doors to his machine were opened slowly. Rusty turned around to see who it was, and was surprised to see quite a familiar fellow. Himself, ten years ago, next to him was a staticy and glitchey looking blue stallion, scrap. Young Rusty stood their, shocked, simply blinking "Uhm... howdy." he said in voice that sounded like Rusty's, but much younger and smoother, the effects of age not yet present on it, "Howdy." the older Rusty replied.
  2. Rusty didn't notice Pressy's collapse, he was too busy using the main control panel and keeping things stable. He grinned wide, "Ah! Yes, were about to smash through the time-period! Hang on Pressy! This'll be a bumpy ride!" he looked over to her as he slammed the "Enter time period button", noticing she was down. His eyes widen, "Oh no... no... no no no..." he galloped over to her, as the machines noises began to 'whir-down', the machines lightly begining to flicker as everything turned off, "Reached destinaton" the robotic voice said. Rusty grabbed onto Pressy shoulders, "C'mon girl, you gotta stay alive! Focus on my voice... focus on it... stay here... wake up... don't let go yet. Ya got a lot more to see, because we've only gotten started. But... Ah can't do it without you... Ah refuse to do it without you." he shook her lightly, "You're a strong mare, fight through it!" a tear rolled down his cheek as spoke.
  3. Rusty yelped loudly as he felt a quick burning scorching sensation shoot through his horn, feeling it crack severely, threatning to shatter. He grimaced, continuing his work despite the set back "Almost.... almost.... yes... y-yes..... just... just one more wire here and.... done!" he said in a pained voice, panting heavily as his horn explodes into an orange dust, completely obliterated from overuse of a new horn. Rusty looked at Pressy, his face full of exaustion and distress "Pressy, Ah couldn't fix the fuel tank! You're gonna have to use this here horn cuff to power this machine! And you're gonna have to drink the fuel potion, all of it. This... this will... gaaah..." he sighed, "There is a high chance you'll die from this..." he stated bluntly, looking her straight in the eye, "But... we got no other options..."
  4. ((Testing out an OC idea I had named Golden Silence, a mute unicorn stallion)) A beautiful day; bright, sunny, warm, vibrant, full of life, energy, and ponies voices among other sounds. It made for a great scene, something you may see in a painting, but then again, Ponyville was almost always worthy of painting because of the... the.... well the...uhm... it's hard to put to words. Just... the General feeling it gives. The ponies are very kind and polite, the building architecture is genius and simply amazing! The bright colors that seemed to radiate through the town gives it a positive vibe, you just can't be grumpy or sad when you're here. Golden Silence set to work, first setting up his canvas stand, then carefully positioning a blank canvas onto it. He took his faithful 'paint plate', essentially a white dinner plate he uses to hold and mix his paint. He took out his favorite paint brush which had a unique size and quality to it that made it useful for most paintings, and it was a paint brush he had since he was a foal. He took out his paints, and carefully dabbed them onto his plate, making sure not to mix any (yet). Finally, the golden unicorn stallion was set and ready to go, and began to paint the scene infront of him, sugar cube corner, or his favorite place to get his daily chocolate cupcake.
  5. He brought out a third empty vial, mixing the two potions together in it, one labeled "Magic Enhancer" the other "Quick Intelligence boost". He poured a very small amount of the fuel potion in it, causing the whole mixture to ignite into a bright blue, "Gonna need to drink this if Im planin to fix this machine... Pressy, hold down the door, once the sheild goes off that'll be the way their gonna try to get us." he drank the potion down, and a few moments later his irises turned a bright glowing orange. He opened up a tool box and floated out at least twenty different tools, at ghe same time floating over the 'hidden' parts that his evil twin put in the machine, then began to fluidly repair the machine with astonishing swiftness and ease, muttering some things to himself as he goes. The sheild alarmed beeped, "Sheild levels critical, 30%".
  6. The large stallion looked down at the mare, his face cortorting from one of minor annoyance, to seething anger, "WOT 'APPANED? YOU TWO 'APPENED! TRAMPLED MOST OF OUR CROPS, LET LOOSE LIVE STOCK... DESTROYED MY 'OUSE! Give me one good reason why I shouldnt tear both of your heads off your necks right now?" he looked back and forth at the two, his eyes locking onto Rusty when he cleared his throat to speak, "Do you like heights? Ah hate them myself, make me feel all sick and such, ya know?" he asked off-hoofingly while searching through his satchel with his telekinesis spell, floating out a bright pink potion. The large stallion shook his head, "'Ave you lost your mind? Why would you be askin' me a question like that? Ya got 5 seconds to explain yourself 'fore I rip you apart..." Rusty nodded, throwing the pink potion at the stallion, it seemingly missing and crashing and splashing all of the ground under him. He just got more confused, and angry "WOT ARE YOU DOIN'? TRYIN' TO CAST SOME OF THAT WEIRD UNICORN MAGIC STUFF ON ME? Well it didnt work, ha!" Rusty took a few stops back, Pulling Pressy along with her "Firstly, thats a potion, has nothin' to do with unicorn magic. Secondly, I meant to miss. Thirdly, have a nice ride." at those words, a rumbling could be felt through the ground, which seemingly exploded under the large stallion, causing him to be launched clear out of town. Standing before Rusty and Pressy was his time machine, which had been kept uneerground. The townsfolk were still in shock, "Pressy, wr gotta hurry! Get in!" running on pure adrenaline, Rusty used a powerful telekinetic jolt to throw Pressy into the machine as he quickly ran inside as well, then bolted the doors shut. He slammed a button, which caused a little broken display to flicker on "Sheilds Activated. Level: 50 percent." he sighed, "You alright Pressy?" he asked as he floated out several different potions, including the fuel one.
  7. Rusty shook his head, smiling nervously "Nope." looking around the area, he began forming different escape routes incase something went wrong, but his thought process was interupted when he bumped into a rather large stallion, twice as large as that red fellow at sweet apple acres in modern ponyville, "Wot do ya think you two are doin' back 'ere?" he asked in a terrifying low growl. Rusty stammered, "Ah -Ah-Ah... well.. uhm... my neice here forgot her...uhm... art.. stuff." he gulped, laughing nervously as all eyes shifted and locked on Pressy.
  8. Shrugged as they trotted into protoponyville, time flyed when they where talking it seemed, "Yeah, Ah regret not gettin' a sample of that potion... ah well, that zebra back at home probably has somethin' similar." a lot of ponies were stopping and starring at them, the activity in the 'town' seemingly coming to a slow halt. Soon whispers could be heard beig exchanged between the ponies, their expressions growing into that of anger. Rusty looked around using his periphial vision, whispering without moving his mouth "This dont look so good..."
  9. Rusty shrugs lightly as he walks, thinking back on his friend's peronality "Ehh... dunno really. Probably will, Scrap was always a real nice stallion." he chuckles, "Was a balance for me, since Ah can be rude at times... heh. Jus' don't let him hit on ya too much, he can get out of hoof in that department..." his face grew more laxed and warm as he felt nostalgic memories fill his mind, growing more excited to save his friend by the second, "And uh... yeah... we should be careful... n stuff."
  10. Nodded and began trotting out of the town, heading onto the unmarked road that connected the two pony towns together. He sighed, chuckling " Who'd thought tryin ta save my friend would lead us into this crazy adventure... was certainly intrestin'." he looked at te tan mare, who was still noticably hyper, which one could easily see through her trembling.
  11. Rusty would of normally busted out laughing at the whole situation, but he didn't have time to deal with the mares new found hyperness. Just as the other stallion ran in pure fear and terror from the crazed mare, Rusty began to attempt to bring Pressy back to rationality, "Hey Pressy, we gotta git to Protoponyville! We don't got much time left..." as he finished off his sentance, a faint fry of the windogos could be heard above the two, a grave reminder of how much time they really had left.
  12. Rusty eyes grew wide as he watched then ow energy filled mare, a small nervous smile forming on his mouth "Alright Pressy... calm down now... we got Plenty of time... we just need ta' find a back alleyway, and Ah'll call up the machine using the re-call spell, since I lost the re-call potion we had back in the fight we had with... well... ourselves." he thought for a moment, "...wait. That spell only works if we are calling while at least ten feet away...I really need ta work on that..." he sighs, turning his body to face the Unicornian city gate, then begins to make his way towards it. "C'mon Pressy, 'les go. We got a bit of a trot 'till we can get back."
  13. ((Woops, sorry!)) Zalmixa thought for a moment, nodding her head slowly "Mmm... yes uhm... you may become slightly hyper, as the medicine kicks your bodies energy levels into over-drive." she chuckled, "Other then that, you should be fine! Now out you two! I have a lot of work to do!" she said, for a brief moment her voice sounding a lot like a certain unicorn from their own time. The Zebracorn politely pushed the two out with her magic, "Take care!" she sad, before she closed the door. Rusty looked at Pressy, grinning "Well, drink up! We'll git goin' after you drink."
  14. Zalmixa chuckled, "You two have some strange names... probably even stranger then mine! However, I like the, especially like Prestza's, seems to fit her nicely!" She turned to Rusty, sighing lightly "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you two friendly unicorns, but I must get back to my potion making... I have some custom orders to fill for a... certain earth pony ruler down in the earth pony settlement..." she shook her head, chuckling lightly "Crazy 'ol mare..." Rusty nodded, "Eyep, was nice meetin' ya Ms. Zalmixa! Hope we meet again one day!" he extended his hoof, which she hesitently accepted and shook, most likely some hesitant feelings she had towards unicorns surfacing just for a moment.
  15. The unstoppable force that was Rusty Contraption absent mindingly pushed the mare to the side of him, not fully registering who she was. He kept on trotting for a few more steps, until a self given mental slap to the face abruptly stopped him in his tracks, while also turning him fully around to the face the mare he had so rudely pushed to the side a few moments ago. His face lit up with a huge smile, something rarely seen by the townsfolk "Pressy!" he trotted up to her, his original pursuit seemingly forgotten "My, Ah was so focused Ah hardly noticed ya!" he chuckled as he finally reached her, sitting down "Ah'm doing fine myself, Ah was about to... uhm... do something.... Ah think. Anyway, what about you? What've you been up to?" he asked her, tilting his head curiously, his hat threatening to fall off his messy brown and grey mane.
  16. The Zebracorn mare lit up, smiling wide "Oh! You're so generous, giving away such an amazing piece like this!" she gave the mare a quick hug, then backed away with a sheepish smile "My name is Zalmixa, a compromise between Zalma, what my father wanted to name me, and Mixer, what my mother wanted to name me." she sat down, smiling politely at the two "What about you two? What are your names?" Rusty floated the two vials into his satchel, then cleared his throat, then peaking in his normal southern accent said "Mah name is Rusty Contraption, and mah name... well actually, it doesn't have a special story behind it. Also, sorry fer the fancy accent before, we come far away and Ah was just tryin' to blend in." he said, smiling lightly while rubbing the back of his neck.
  17. Nods, chuckling "Ah know what you mean, Pressy. Don't know what Ah'd do if Ah couldn't do my invention work anymore. Don't think life would be worth... that is a real nice painting though, really shows how unique the mare is!" he says, speaking in semi-hushed tones, so the mare in the back doesn't hear him. He admired Pressy's painting skills, it looked almost like a photograph, yet not really because it had a small surreal twist to it that a pony couldn't describe. However, he was started out of his trance when the back-door swung open, and the Zebracorn trotted out into the main-store, floating along with her a vial of extreme bright white liqued, which was almost blinding to look at. She trotted behind the store counter, and placed the potion onto it "Here, it's done! This stuff is now pure liquid energy... very dangerous stuff! I'm assuming you're going to be doing some heavy magic work?" she asked, raising a brow. Rusty chuckled lightly, nodding "Yes yes, I suppose you could say that. Anyway, how much would I need to compensate you for your services...?" he begins to envelope his magic around his satchel, ready to pay the mare a large sum of money, knowing how difficult and delicate the process of potion condensing is. He is surprised, however, when she simply laughs and waves a hoof, smiling warmly "Your kindness and respect is payment enough. I havn't gotten any for at least... heh... few years. It reminds me that not all ponies are bad, and maybe there is actually a kind few out there! Oh and uhm..." she floats another, smaller potion out, simply labeled 'Q.C.C', which she pointed out each letter with her hoof "Quick Cold Cure. Should get the mares cold fixed in no time!" she smiled warmly at the mare, however her eyes fell upon her painting. Her jaw half-dropped "My, what a beautiful painting!" she said, trotting around from her desk, "I havn't seen a painting so amazing before! I mean, I'm not saying that because I'm in it, that'd be narcissistic. It's just... everything about it is... beautiful!"
  18. The Zebracorn mare blinked as the young mare left as quickly as she came it, but then shrugged "Huh, unicorns are crazy... guess that makes me half-crazy then." she chuckled and continued her task at hoof. Rusty was in the store part, looking through all the different potions they had, fascinated by all the strange effects and cures she was reading, "You know Pressy, that 'Zebracorn' is probably extremely powerful, zebra potion making magic combined with powerful unicorn magic? Scary stuff ta think about." he shivered lightly, but then noticed she had made a painting of the Zebracorn mare, then smiled "Well would'ja look at that, thats amazin'"
  19. The back door opened up, with a black and white glow, revealing a small, dimly lit back room with a large culdron in it, and many shelves holding nearly an infinite amount of ingredients. The Zebracorn was at the culdron, mixing together the liqued from the leaves Rusty had gave her, while at the same time breaking open new ones and pouring more liqued in, both processes using her magic, which seemed exceedingly powerful if she was able to do all of this at once. She replied to Pressy's question, without looking at her or paying much heed "Yes, come in. I do not mind." she broke the last leaf in the culdren, then went to start boiling it. She opened up an archaic looking air vent in the room, allowing for the steam to escape, while the liqued in the culdron to glow brighter, "Getting rid of all the water thats in this stuff, to make it more potent and compact."
  20. Rusty thinks for a moment, wondering if they would have time to do this, glancing at the mare. He noticed how excited she looked, like this was the best thing that had happened to her in a while, and well it probably was, since this was a once and a life-time opportunity. He shifted uneasily for a few moments, but finally broke down "Alright, Pressy. But you got to be real quick about it..."
  21. The Zebracorn mare eyes widened in surprise at the frenzied mare, taking a step back "Not the typical reaction I get... usually I get called an abomination of nature and such" she chuckles softly, it was obvious she wasn't used to getting positive attention. However, before Pressy could really do anything, Rusty stepped in "My apologies, my niece tends to get excited when she sees something unique, or out of the ordinary. And, if I may say so myself, you look quite stunning! However, before my niece does a painting of you, I would like to know if you could condense the liqued in these pants into one, single, vial?" he opens up his satchel, and floats out the plants onto the floor, "Also, you wouldn't happen to have a cure for the cold? My niece has taken ill with the rather... bothersome infection." The Zebracorn picked up one of the plants with her magc, which had a black and white glow to it, "Hmmm... I could do that. Wouldn't be hard at all! Also, yes, I do have a potion for that cold your niece has, I'll get it for you when I am finished with these plants!" she picked up all fo the plants with her magic, and floated them into the back room, closing the door shut.
  22. ((I'm new to this type of RP, and I'm currently sick, so forgive me if my posts seem a bit lack-luster. Also I have a tight slot limit because I believe better RP is had with less RPers)) An older brownish-orangish stallion energetically trots through the quaint town of Dodge Junction, his top-hat bouncing with each of his quick steps. He didn't pay any-heed to the ponies he bumped into or pushed lightly out of the way, infact to him they didn't even seem to exist, and they may as well havn't because, Rusty Contraption, the stallion we're talking about, was on a mission, and when he was on a mission... his mind tended to become one track, with only one, singular destination laying in wait at the end, with nothing in-between. Unless of course, there was something powerful enough to draw him away from his pursuit, which would basically have to be the equivalent of Discord riding a unicycle in town while flying ten tree kites in the sky that were singing the Equestrian anthem, and even then he may not even notice unless Discord himself started to talk to him, and still EVEN THEN it would be a slim chance that the spirit of chaos would be able to stop the stallion's seemingly unstoppable stride. Anyway, the stallion was making a B-line for the train station, the reasons why only known to him.
  23. Rusty waved a hoof, dismissing the statement "Psssh, whad'ja expect? Alchemists are always a little weird... 'course in a good way." he trotted intothe shop slowly, not really bothering to knock or anything. The shop was rather dark inside, only weak candle light spread unevenly around the place giving it at least some lighting. The walls were covered with shelves, and on these shelves were filled to the edge with potions, books, ingredients... anything a potion maker could dream for. He cleared his throat, then yelled "Hello? Where is the owner of this fine establishment! I wish to purchase some of your wares..." he said using his posh accent once more. A strange looking equine creature came slowly from the back room of the shop, and at first his/her's appearence gave Rusty a start. It was a zebra... with a Unicorn horn.. which normally would be impossible, since Zebra don't have any unicorn like sub-species like ponies do. The only way this could have happened if he/she had one parent who was a Unicorn, and another parent who was a zebra. The 'Zebracorn' spoke, with no accent detectable in his/her speech "Ah, hello you two! Welcome to my Alchemy shop! What can I help you with?" despite hearing his/her voice, it's gender was still hard to distinguish.
  24. Smiles confidently, picking up the pace of his trot " 'course we got time for this! This is actually the quicker way... the other way would mean carryin' twenty heavy vials of magic fuel all the way back to Proto-Ponyville! Plus we would have ta buy twenty vials of glass too... which would be real expensive and..." he was abruptly cut off with one of the mares infamous sneezes, which caused him to grin after a few moments, "'Sides... we don't need'ya bustin' a hole through my time machine, now do we?" he asked as he began to slow down, noticing an alcemy shop to the right of him "Well, here we are! Look at this place... a potion brewer shop if Ah ever saw one mah self!" he said chipperly as he began to trot towards the ominous looking shop. It wasn't that it had the signature 'creepy' factor to it, with rotting wood or dark paint or anything, but it just seemed.... out of place.
  25. ((I'm Using tablet so this log will most likely look pretty bland... since I don't have any editing options on here, and using the PC version of this site makes my tablet cry)) Earth ponies met: -FlyinAce -(Message me if I missed you) Unicorns met: -Presteza (close friend) -Joe -Booksalot -(Message me if I missed you) Pegasai met: -Stormchaser -Mechanical Madness (friend) -(Message me if I missed you) Threads participated in: Notable relationships: Presteza: Presteza and Rusty Contraption are very close friends, and have something akin to a uncle and niece relationship. This relationship first started when Presteza applied to be Rusty Contraption's assistant in his Invention Shop. The two's personality's immediately complimented each other, and Rusty's usually grumpy anti-social nature broke down to reveal a kind, if not a bit spacey and eccentric, stallion. Now, this is where the story splits into two parts: canon, and off canon. Canon: The two went on a mysterious adventure that they don't really take about much, or when they do, they just make small referential pokes at it. Off canon: The two went on a crazy time traveling adventure in an attempt to save Rusty's friend, Scrape.
