  1. Eighth place ain't bad. I'm surprised I'm even that high on the list right now after going the first two nights without any candy. Loving this event.
  2. Willow Whisper yawned cavernously as she walked slowly toward the monument of the terrible Nightmare. It was getting pretty late, and it wasn't just her hooves that were tired anymore. The crocodile costumed unicorn figured she had time for just one more stop before it was time for her to turn in. Since she had been confronted once by Nightmare Moon tonight, and once by Princess Luna herself, she figured it would be best to leave the celestial mare her tribute. As she approached the statue, she saw several ponies she had met before tonight, including Spirit and Haywire. "Hey! Crazy night, isn't it?" She asked amiably, and placed some of her haul from the night before the statues stone hooves.
  3. Leafdancer stepped lightly over the ground, moving closer to the safety of the group. The lithe unicorn narrowed her eyes, and lowered her head as her horn began to gleam a neon green color. She wasn't very strong, but she would help in her own way. A spell hung on the edge of her tongue, and she opened her heart to the strength she felt flowing in the trees around her, and the soil beneath her hooves. She was a child of the forest, and part of its power was her own. The shadow circled them, watching from cover of trees and roots with two sets of red eyes that flashed and burned in the darkness. It growled low and crept closer, undaunted by the small group of ponies. The light from Gold Rush's spell revealed its inky black fur, muscular body taller than even the powerful Thunderhoof at the shoulder, and two snarling wolf heads. The Cerberus bared dagger-like fangs, and lunged onto the path with twin baying calls that chilled to the bone. It slunk toward them slowly, and snapped its jaws menacingly as it confronted the three. "Wicked..." Willow Whisper breathed with a grin. (( I hope its okay I picked the monster. If it isn't I'll edit this. ))
  4. For when we get the final group, if there are any issues with group roles being filled or group composition, I'd be willing to change my character to whatever role was needed. For instance if we end up all spellcasters or squishy classes or something similar, and are lacking a sturdier warrior type or anything like that. Whatever would help the group.
  5. Willow Whisper was just a little lost in the maze. After running into Princess Celestia, the unicorn had been unable to find her way out of the house of mirrors. Hundreds of reflections of herself wandering a hundred different hallways at all sorts of angles surrounded her. It was all starting to make her head hurt. She couldn't tell how big the room itself was, much less how to get out. Still, other than the trap doors in the floor, which she did her best to avoid, it wasn't that dangerous in here. Her night was finally looking up!
  6. I'm curious how this project is going to handle Fluttershy. Until the recent episode of her beating the tar out of the grizzlybear, she seemed like the character with the absolute least poses that would be useful when making a combat version of her.
  7. I'd be okay with either being a Filly or a Mare, depending on the setting. Age isn't so important to me, besides its usually fun to play younger characters just because of their inexperience.
  8. Thats too bad about the drops. Maybe once the first group gets going there will be more interest for the second.
  9. Willow Whisper lifted her head and perked her ears, and glanced at a mirror to see her own crocodile costume grinning back at her. The song echoed a little off the mirrors, but if she really concentrated she could follow it. The large unicorn mare made her way slowly and carefully through the maze, following the smaller ponies voice until she finally caught sight of her. The real her, anyway. She trotted over with an and appreciative expression. "Killer song. Thanks for the help too, I probably woulda broke a mirror if I kept stumbling through here." "This place is kinda creepy... If you kinda unfocus your eyes, and look in the reflection of the mirrors in the mirrors it just goes on forever." She stared deep into one of the mirrors nearby, trying to see as far as she could. The mare felt dizzy after a while, and gave her head a vigorous shake.
  10. Thanks for the well wishes. I didn't know at first if Zebra hybrids were allowed. But there are mule characters, as well as a zebra/unicorn, and a earth pony/kelpie hybrid so I figured it would be alright to at least give it a shot.
  11. Edited to include Pony Sages suggestions. Name: Yahom ( Stagename: Cyclone Frenzy ) Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Pegasus/Zebra Coat Color: His coat is a dark lustrous golden color(B4A930), with a black patch over his muzzle. His cheeks, forelimbs, and hind-limbs are also lightly striped with black. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Yahom's mane is a wild windblown blonde(FEFA86) mohawk, that is sparsely streaked with black. His tail is similarly messy and colored, and completely covered in hair like a normal ponies. The hair is bound around the base with black cloth into a 'pony-tail'. Eye Color: Yahom has exotic looking almond shaped light green(00FE47) eyes. Cutie Mark: Yahom's cutie-mark is a twisting tornado rendered in sharply arched black and red stripes. Physique: Yahom is averaged sized for a pegasus pony, and is not too tall or too short. He is a slender pony with a slightly longer neck, slim legs, and a narrow angular head and muzzle. He is in good shape, though he has more of a wirey sort of muscle meant for speed rather than strength. He is quick, agile, and has good endurance while in the air. More accustomed to using his wings, he is a much better flyer than runner, and tires easily when put to the test on the ground. Origin: Yahom was born of two worlds. His father, a highborn pegasus pony named Look'n'Listen, was a cultural equinologist from Trottingham, who ventured to the mysterious continent of Unyasi for the sake of researching and documenting uncontacted Zebra cultures. On the northern banks of Unyasi, he met Moyo, a female zebra fortuneteller practiced in the arts of Uchawi. She along with a small host of other Zebras agreed to be his guides on his ventures inland. For years Look'n'Listen traveled the interior of Unyasi with Moyo, and eventually the two became sworn mates. It was not long after, that their son came into the world. In the custom of her coastal people, Moyo recognized her mixed son as possessing a great gift, and named him Yahom, which means 'with the wind' in the Zebra tongue. Unyasi was his first home yet not his home, and as his parents traveled he grew and lived with many tribes of zebras yet he was a member of no tribe at all. Years later, when Yahom was a young colt, his father convinced his mother to return with him to Trottingham. They set off on their own journey, leaving the grasslands to head into the heart of Equestrian Empire. In Trottingham, the family found a permanent home, and there Yahom spent the rest of his foalhood immersed in his father's culture. Today, he lives with his elderly mother in her fortune-telling shop. Roleplay Type: Equestria Mane RP Occupation: Yahom is a reserve for the Shadowbolts, who is occasionally called in to replace members who cannot perform. His specialty are stunts and tricks involving wind, particularly tornados. To supplement this part time work, he helps his mother out with her shop. Motivation: Yahom earned his cutie-mark through a sheer foolish accident. One day, back in his foalhood on the dusty savannah of Unyasi, there was a terrible dust storm. Great cyclones of dust and grit traveled the grasslands, and sent the native inhabitants securing themselves and their young to safety. Yahom's parents were unable to locate their errant son, and instantly feared the worst. Their son had an unfortunate daredevil streak, and had not fled before the storm but chased it. He had never seen anything like it, and a healthy sense of boyish adventure drew him to the display of natures power like a moth to the flame. He only meant to watch it from a distance but as they say curiosity killed the cat. It also sucked the colt into the dust-devil. Sheer miraculous dumb luck prevented the young Pegasus from being seriously harmed beyond a sprained leg, and they found him laughing, covered in dust, with a new cutie-mark. His cutie-mark represents the wild side of himself that he found validated that day, and his drive for adrenaline. It also represents an acceptance of his pegasus heritage. As a stallion his ambitions are great, to perform as a Shadowbolt, an organization filled with ponies as crazy and reckless as he is. Through these performances, he hopes to become rich in order to support himself and his mother, and famous enough to finally feel like he belongs somewhere. Likes: Moyo, Shadowbolts, racing, dizziness, sports, parties, bits, Zebra cooking, winning, flying, windy days, heat, jewelry, foals, birds, outdoors Dislikes: Books, school, losing, boredom, being alone, moving, formal dress, shopping, ponies who ask him what he is Character Summary: As a foal in Unyasi, being half-pegasus earned him strange stares, and more than a few unkind words from his peers. Despite the love and assurances his parents gave him, Yahom wasn't truly proud of who he was, and cared too much about what the other foals said. As any young boy would, he overcompensated and struggled for the other Zebras acceptance, while shunning the pegasus aspects of himself. He never flew, but he did develop into a brash young pony with a reputation for doing wild, dangerous, and sometimes stupid things. He loved the looks of disbelief and grudging awe on the Zebra colts faces almost as much as he came to enjoy the feeling of adrenaline rushing through him. Yahom did not truly learn to fly, or accept his differences until the day he was pulled into the dust-devil. The feeling of being violently airborne did not discourage him from flying as his parents feared, but it did serve to give him a taste for it. He chased this new passion with a will, and became an adept flyer. However this acceptance of his wings served to set him more apart from his peers, despite all his daring aerial maneuvers. He was brave no doubt, but he still wasn't a Zebra. Yahom and his family got a new start when they left Unyasi and headed into the Equestrian empire proper. There Yahom faced a reversal of prejudice. Suddenly his pegasus side was what was alright, but it was the slender build and stripes that made the highborn ponies of Trottingham stare at him and his mother with critical eyes. Sure, he looked like a pegasus, but he wasn't really a pegasus. Today as a stallion, Yahom is still dealing with this conflict between his heritage, though to a lesser extent. He is more used to the norms and values of Zebra culture from his youth, and though he has since become proficient in mainstream pony culture aspects of Zebra creep though. His voice is accented, and his manner of dress and the jewelry he wears all have a mild Unyasi influence. He is proud of who he is, yet the subject remains a sensitive issue with him. He has a temper on him, and will quickly get angry at perceived insults especially those that bring up his stripes. He's just as wild and crazy as he was in his youth, and though he is daring, he is also quite exhausting to be around. He lacks subtlety in any manner, and can be quite a sore loser. He finds it difficult to back down from challenges, and he can find a way to make a challenge out of almost anything. Yahom is not a deep or thoughtful pony by any means, and he rather enjoy life than waste it doing something 'boring.' With all that said, Yahom is a dependable and reliable pony, who stands by his decisions and is willing to accept consequences. He is also fiercely loyal to those he's close to, and he cares deeply for his mother, Moyo. He is friendly and boisterously playful, if a bit loud. He believes that work should be fun, and in not waiting to do anything you want to do. He's dedicated to his amateur acrobatics, and to his reserve position with the Shadowbolts. He performs as much for fame, enjoyment, and money as he does for sheer acceptance. When he puts on the uniform and risks his life, he is not half zebra or half pegasus. He is a whole, a member of the team, a Shadowbolt. Made using GeneralZoi's pony creator.
  12. Willow Whisper had finally finished her spooky trek along Discord's lamp-lit path, and decided to go check out one of the other attractions set up for Nightmare Night that she heard ponies gossiping about. Something that didn't require hiking, preferably. The green unicorn mare costumed as a grinning crocodile entered the mirror maze with a smile. She'd never been inside a fun-house before. The podgy unicorn stopped in a corridor filled with tall skinny mirrors that made her look as thin as a saplings branches. She laughed, and struck a playful and not so graceful pose in front of the mirror. "Lookin' fine and feelin' fine." She chuckled under her breath, before moving on further into the maze. The unicorn caught sight of the many multiplied reflections of two ponies she had met briefly on the Everfree path earlier tonight, Haywire and another pony she hadn't caught the name of. "Hey, Haywire! Glad to see you got away from Nightmare Moon. Gettin' a decent haul toni-" She was cut off as she walked right into a mirror with a grunt, causing the wall of mirrors to rock slightly where they stood. Willow Whisper backed off a bit, and shook her head to regain her senses. She glanced around with yellow eyes, trying to figure out what was real and what wasn't. "Uh... Where are you, exactly?"
  13. I'm okay with the times as I said before. It looks like most people want to play on Saturday? I'm very excited for this. Once a week is also just fine with me.
  14. "I forgot how much walking Nightmare Night involved..." Willow Whisper sighed as she plodded along the forest path. Her spirits had been redeemed through the benevolent appearance of Princess Celestia, and the candy that was tucked into a pocket in her crocodile costume. After running into both Nightmare Moon, and Discord on the same night, the Princess herself had been a welcome sight. The dull green unicorn walked a little taller and surer, tossing her head to flick her dreadlocks out of her eyes. Her hooves were getting a bit sore though, but despite her aches the exercise was surely doing her some good. "How long do you think this path goes on for?" She asked Spirit Flame as she once again caught sight of the ghostly pony. The mare turned to look over the other pony with the green mane she was speaking to. "Hey, you having a nice night?"
  15. "With my luck tonight, something terrible is gonna happen to us in the next hour." Willow Whisper smiled ruefully, and was inwardly sure the words were prophecy now that she had spoken them. She was about to say something else when a massive shape brushed by the path, dimly illuminated by the magic lamps. Glowing yellow eyes, thick tawny fur, and glimmering crimson wings and tail. The manticore paused for the briefest of moments in the light just off the path, as though considering the gathering of ponies, and with a low growl and flash of teeth vanished back into the shadowy forest. "Uhh..." The unicorn mare stared blankly at the spot where it had been. "Was that an illusion or was that real?"
  16. I would okay with the time you suggested on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Its about 4 PM California time if I've not mistaken? I'd never be able to play on Fridays though. Is this going to be a once a week game, or multiple sessions per week?
  17. 4.5 Edition rules? I didn't even know that existed, but I totally want to learn. I'm looking forward to playing, and I'm totally cool with using the preset stats. If I get into a group, I'm interested in playing a druid, preferably a Woods Unicorn.
  18. "Oh, hey." Willow Whisper looked up at the familiar voice of the ghostly pony, Spirit Flame, glad to see her despite her terrifyingly ghostly costume. A familiar face, even one she had just met tonight, would make the trail a little more friendly. At the question however, she laughed and shrugged her shoulders. "Uh, Discord happened, I think. It was hard to keep track but my costume still smells like chocolate milk, and I think at some point there was a banana peel attacking my hoof..." The unicorn trailed off, looking confused as she tried to remember the sheer chaos of the Draconequis' appearance just moments before. "Kinda hurts my head thinking about it..." "He seemed more real than the last one." She added after a moment of thought. "If it was an illusion, it was a pretty convincing one, though."
  19. "This! Is! So! Not! Chill!" Willow Whisper wheezed as she slowed from a gallop to a hoof dragging walk. The winded unicorn looked nervous, but her grinning crocodile mask kept up its toothy smile, immune to the fright she'd just had from Discord. She was a lazy pony, and not use to much exercise. She had thought that maybe tonight wouldn't be so bad, but one after another the scares kept on coming. Tonight alone she'd been scolded by a Shadowbolt, frightened by Nightmare Moon, and deeply disturbed by Discord. Now at least she had a few moments of peace, however brief they might be. The mare stayed well to the center of the path, and tried to let the earthy scent of the smell calm her despite the eerie giggling and whispering of voices. Phantom sounds and movement just beyond the glow of the lamps kept her motivated, and moving. She was nervous, but it was fun in a sort of thrilling way. Her life was normally so relaxed, and not many exciting things ever happened to her. Sure, she'd felt several times tonight like her heart would stop, but she'd met some new ponies. She also got to see two of the most famous creatures in Equestria. "And lived to tell the tale..." She murmured in a spooky voice to herself, and chuckled feebly. All she had to do was stay positive, and she'd probably survive this. Probably.
  20. Leafdancer chuckled at Gold Rush's not so graceful landing, but quickly moved to help the wizard pony to his hooves. "Onward." She agreed with a smile, and started off in the direction they had been headed at a leisurely trot. The deeper the group of adventurers got into the forest, the denser the plants and trees got, and the branches overhead eventually blocked out almost all sunlight. Only dappled spots of light washed over the ponies as they traveled. The mysterious voice, still calling, had grown much closer but the thick foliage, and the echo off of the surrounding trees made it difficult to pinpoint exactly. Unfriendly terrain for travelers. "Do you two see anypony?"
  21. My guilty pleasure is Lifetime Movie Network movies. They are an excellent source of hilarity. If you enjoy watching bad movies, check out Cyber Seduction: His Secret Life.
  22. I'd be up for giving this a shot, if you need more players. I've been wanting to try one of the pony d20 games I saw popping up around the net.
  23. Willow Whisper was getting a bit of her lazy swagger back. The magic on this trail had to be strong, or else why would stallions and mares let their little foals like the one she had met back on the path to attempt this? Like the pony she had met who was wreathed in flame, it might just be all smoke and mirrors. She walked with her head a little higher, and lifted a hoof to straighten her grinning crocodile mask. Suddenly, somepony or something behind her shrieked. The unicorn nearly jumped out of her fake crocodile skin, and for a moment all four of her hooves left the ground as she leaped in fear. She landed clumsily, and whirled around with a toss of her head to get her mane out of her eyes and see her attacker. "Who-" She took in the frightening pegasus mare before her, all purples and blacks, in a streamlined bodysuit. Willow Whisper thought she'd heard something about ponies like this before. Shadowbolt's they were called. "S-so... You ce-celebrate Nightmare Night t-too?" She asked with a fake smile and forced enthusiasm, trying to seem friendly in hopes this mysterious pony wouldn't fry her with a lightning bolt or whisk her away in a tornado. Willow wasn't the smartest unicorn to start with, and she had no idea if it was a costume or not. Better to be safe than sorry! The unicorn glanced behind the Shadowbolt as Spirit Flame reappeared, lighting up the path in her own way. The appearance of the familiar pony brought a look of relief to her face. "Hi, Spirit Flame... This is my new, uh... friend?"
