  1. We have three cats. Our family has a tradition of creating elaborate backstories for each pet, but I'll just give you guys the tl;dr versions. Our first and oldest cat is Bear. He's 13, all black, half Pixie Bob, and tough as nails. He's lived through a venomous snake bite right to the face, staying out all night in an ice storm, and more. We characterize him as being voiced by Morgan Freeman and he is a scholarly civil rights activist. Our second cat is Alexander Boris Nevsky, alias "Sasha". He's 5, solid steel grey, weighs 20 pounds, and is pure evil. Sasha is the living incarnation of destruction. He makes it a daily task to knock over everything in sight, tear up carpets, run his claw all over our furniture, and drag our clothing around the house like a dog would its favorite toy. Luckily, summer approaches so we can unleash his destructive tendencies on the outdoors so that he may thin the rodent population of our woods. Despite being huge and evil, Sasha is unable to meow anything more than a kitten like "mew". Our final cat is Kabuki Berkowitz-Yoshimoto. He's also 5, orange with a few spots of white and streaks of darker orange, is 3/4ths fluff and only 1/4th cat, and is my precious princess baby adorable snowflake dumpling child. Kabuki and I are very attached to one another and spend most our days with each other. He is EXTREMELY vocal, meowing nonstop for a variety of reasons- because he wants food, because he wants to be held, because he wants to go outside, because he wants to lay on my desk, because he just wants to hear his beautiful voice. He loves to held and affection. Kabuki is also extremely gay, but of course I love my son no matter what. <3 I sadly have no pics of Bear and Sasha, so I'll just substitute with four glorious pictures of Kabuki: http://i.imgur.com/HFD3d.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RNRT0.jpg http://i.imgur.com/B5yKZ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/VZUrn.jpg That last pic is me and Kabuki napping on the couch. <3
  2. Of the main six? Pinkie Pie. Definitely. Without a doubt. I love them all, but Pinkie Pie is annoying and has minimal depth compared to the other members of the main cast. I think she's rather over used too. But my true least favorite characters? SNIPS AND SNAILS. ALL OF MY HATE, ALL OF MY SORROW
  3. Due to my long time love of My Little Pony, my family and friends were not surprised at all when I got back into it. My pony friends, of course, love talking about ponies and my sister does too. My mom is surprisingly interested in my hobby of collecting and restoring G1 ponies. Every time I get a new one in, she always asks me to tell her about the pony, what condition it is in, how rare it is, and what work I'm going to do to it.
  4. I'm 20 now, but when I was 13, I suddenly caught the Pony Bug. I joined a G1 collectors forum callled Twinkler and Tigerhawks Little Purple Board of Destruction, aka: TNT. I made many close friends there and collected a massive amount of ponies. After a few years, my dedication to Ponydom faded somewhat when TNT largely disentegrated and I sold off most of my ponies. I still kept in contact with a number of old TNTers. In about December, a former TNTer and a good friend of mine messaged me. "LSDKJLFASDKH ML ML ML, THEY'RE MAKING A NEW MY LITTLE PONY SHOW!" It's been rainbows and plastic equines since then. One of my best friends, Matt, is a war hardened veteran and professional bad ass. One day, he noticed a facebook status I made about My Little Pony. Next thing I know, he's at my door step at 2 AM. He just looks me in the eye and says.... "We need to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic right ****ing now." We spent the rest of the night marathoning all that had been released up to that point. Every Friday night, he comes over and we watch the new episode. My mother and sister have a soft spot for the show and enjoy watching it if I have it on TV.
  5. I like this idea, Tam. Yaaay discussion. I really enjoyed the first half of this episode, but once it got to the actual talent show itself I found it really boring and slow. Also they used the "my little ponies" pun/gag too many times for one episode. I love the CMC, especially Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, so naturally I was rather excited about an episode focusing on them. I really enjoyed them "crusading", fixing up their new clubhouse, and preparing for the talent show. That whole part was pretty funny and extremely cute. However, the whole song part took waaaaaayyy too long in my opinion. There's only so long that I can laugh at off key singing and a bunch of ponies embarrassing themselves. Also Snips and Snails were there and their very existence kinda makes me wanna punch something most of the time. So overall this was a weaker episode in my book. I still enjoyed it overall but it pretty much hits the bottom of the barrel of the all the episodes I've seen so far.
  6. [ Pony Related Character ] Name: Lapis Lazuli Gender: Female Age: Young Mare Species: Unicorn Pelt Color: Azure Mane/Tail Color & Style: The majority of her mane and tail are a deep, sapphire blue with streaks of golden yellow interspersed throughout. Her hair is very thick and voluminous, with short bangs framing her face. She keeps her mane in a set of braided pigtails, the braids starting at her throat latch and ending about her elbow. Generally, they are a tad messy, but she is known for letting them go completely uncared for during periods of intense work and study. Her tail is left free flowing and Lapis puts a good bit of effort into attempting to keep it smooth and tamed. Like her mane, this often gets left by the wayside the heavier her workload is. Eye Color: Light yellow Cutie Mark: An ancient tablet covered in hieroglyphs of a long dead civilization. <!-- m -->http://i.imgur.com/9jzrs.jpg<!-- m --> Physique: Lapis is tall for a female pony and somewhat lanky. She doesn't do much physical activity so, while she is thin, she has very little muscle mass or toning. Residence: Canterlot, but travels a lot for work. Occupation: Lapis Lazuli is in training to become the Curator of Collections for the history portion of the major museum in Canterlot. She does a wide variety of tasks from research to restoration to acquisitions to field archaeology, just whatever the other higher ranking curators need her to do. Motivation: Lapis Lazuli seeks to discover, learn, and renew. She is equally happy buried in ancient texts to discover the uses of some tiny artifact, digging amongst the ruins of an abandoned cave temple, or cleaning the delicate pages of a centuries old manuscript. Greatest of all is the thrill of being around a piece of history that hasn't been appreciated by anypony else in generations. The farther she goes in the museum field, the greater her access to such things will be. Likes: History, archaeological field work, artifact restoration/conservation, caffeine, travel to new places, experiencing new people and cultures, dancing at raves/clubs, having her hair brushed. Dislikes: Ignorant creatures who are not interested in furthering their knowledge, math, being overworked by her superiors, antiques being mishandled, ghost stories/horror movies, and foals- especially hyperactive ones. Character Summary: Lapis Lazuli has always loved history. When other foals were playing Mighty Morphing Pony Rangers, Lapis was trying to get them to reenact Naponyleon's battle at Witherloo. She had very few friends of her age as a filly, but though her intelligence separated her from her peers, it endeared her to her teachers. Lapis used this to her advantage, gaining access to all sorts of advanced academic programs. One of these took her on a junior archaeological dig. As she sifted through the dirt, Lapis became enthralled in her work. Each sliver of broken pottery, each bent and tarnished coin, and each indecipherable scrap of parchment was a fantastic treasure to the young filly. After that day, Lapis Lazuli knew she had found her calling. She gained her Cutie Mark as a result of this adventure. Now, Lapis seeks to become a curator at the major museum in Canterlot. She strives to impress her superiors and often works overtime for extra experience (and brownie points). Sometimes this gets her in trouble when too much work gets piled up on her. She travels a lot for her work- going to dig sites, libraries, antique dealers, and more- and she generally enjoys it. In all truth, Lapis is somewhat of a workaholic and doesn't always realize when she's taken on too much to handle or is neglecting the rest of her life. Lapis Lazuli is still a younger mare and has years to learn about not only archaeology, but life.
  7. Glad you enjoy my icon. And also YAY KINDLE BUDDY~ I got one for Christmas and we've been best buds every since. I'm currently enjoying a collection of poetry by the "mad, bad, and dangerous to know" Lord Byron and a cheesy femmeslash romance novel called "Lady Knight". I've had RA for 4 years but only been diagnosed for 2. Unfortunately, my current doctor is pretty much worthless so I haven't had much progress in getting better. >_> Luckily, we're switching docs soon so hopefully we'll have some progress. Good luck to you and if you ever have any questions about meds or whatever I'm always happy to help out a fellow RA bro. Thanks for the welcomes~
  8. Hey everypony! I'm Mahka, a 20 year old chick from Atlanta, Georgia. I've been a fan of My Little Pony for years, a long time collector of G1 ponies, and obviously a big fan of that ~Friendship is Magic~ show the internet talks about so much nowadays (Twilight and Rainbow Dash are my favorites <3). My other interests include World of Warcraft, tabletop gaming (DND, old World of Darkness), video games, piercings, goth/punk counterculture, American Football, stupidity, internetz, yuri/shoujo-ai/femmeslash, reading books on my Kindle, and my beloved son and cat, Kabuki. I'm a former horseback rider of 10 years, so if you have any questions about equine behavior/anatomy/etc, there's a good chance I can help you out. I spend most of my days lounging around the house, being an internet bum. I wish I was in college for archaeology/anthropology, but my rheumatoid arthritis and incompetent doctors are making such ambitions difficult to achieve. (Oh yeah, Ashi, I'm the same GeekyBones who sent you a message about RA on your tumblr. <3) Due to my extensive amounts of free time, I have decided to try my hand at roleplaying again after a several year hiatus. And what could be a better RP than a My Little Pony one?! So be gentle while I get back into the swing of roleplaying. >w< And uh.... That's about all I got I guess? I'll probably have my first character app up tonight. :> Thanks all for listening to me ramble.
