  1. Killjoy nodded "I'll make the best Soldiers in the world." She confidently "there will be nothing that can stand in their way once I'm done. Though....I'll need about six months for them to be combat ready. Plus we need to let the princesses know right away about our encounter without delay." Maelstrom gazed at Kasey "what is your name boy...?" He asked calmly. He also glanced at Shade "also elaborate on what you mean by what we expected from the descendents."
  2. Killjoy chuckled as "I'm not entirely sure if we did anything of the sort, did that fight seem just a tad bit too easy to be called a test of our strengths? I can't help but feel that there is something we missed." Killjoy quickly shook the thoughts out of her head "well it doesn't matter...I guess our soldiers are going to need a bit more training if we are to fight batkin on an open field. As much as I hate to admit, we are a bit underprepared for a war with the supernatural." She said waving off a soldier to head off to the other fortress. "What's the plan Colonel?"
  3. ((aight then, just wanted to make sure before we went any further.)) Killjoy smirked "and I was having fun too..." she said jumping onto Trax's shoulders and then jumping again up to Shade "what goes up." Killjoy quickly spun rapidly before using the built up momentum into a kick sending Shade downwards "must come down....ugh kill me, so cliche." she said laughing.
  4. ((so what's the plan with Shade, are we looking at a tactical retreat for either side or what?))
  5. Killjoy grabbed the back of Shade's scythe before she launched up into the air "come now...gotta be a lot faster than that to land a hit on me." she said rolling into a back flip throwing two paper orbs down hitting Shade's face as he was occupied with Trax. The paper orbs exploded in a blinding white light. As the flash cleared, Killjoy was already back in the fight landing kick to Shade's face she fell before launching off away from the range of his scythes.
  6. "Colonel you can fly...you know that right?" Killjoy said a bit mockingly. Instead of dodging away. Killjoy shot forward barely missing the black magical orb. She quickly neared the wall before jumping up, her foot landed on an uneven stone to jump again to the top of the wall with her katana drawn. She pointed the blade towards Shade "you're strong from a distance, that's been obvious so far, let's how you do in close combat." She said with a smirk.
  7. Killjoy calmly walked towards the wall letting the undead come to her as a furious storm a slashes and strikes cut them down as if they were walking into a blender. As the last undead fell, Killjoy's katana was already in its scabbard as if it was never pulled out at all. she stood by Trax as her crimson gaze met the Necromancer's, the fierce blood lust could not be any more clear in her eyes. "c'mon...stop wasting our time with your bulls**."
  8. Killjoy raised her arms in a stretch as she cracked her neck side to side. "really, it took us that long? I guess i was having a little too much fun to notice. Though to answer your question..." she glanced at the shadowy figure on top of the wall and back down to the undead rising up, a grin grew across her face "I'll bet a dinner on me, that we can do this in 25 minutes or less." she quickly drew her Katana "well, lets not wait any longer."
  9. Maelstrom just sat in silence for a brief moment after hearing Shade's report, he then looked up at Shadow "stay on course and keep Shade on stand by, we still haven't gauged their strength, it seems the only way we can get the information we seek is by direct contact. Relay a message to Shade to prepare for a fight, they are not to be underestimated so give them all he has. If they die, then we no longer have anything to worry about, at the first sign of trouble, have Shade pull back, we can't afford to take any risks so soon." he ordered as he waved Shadow off "and without delay." Killjoy clinched the pendant in her hand and put it close to her chest "then they have made their first mistake." Killjoy glanced at Trax "I'd say we send a message of our own then, let them know who exactly they are messing with."
  10. The group made it back to the camp Trax was. Killjoy quickly tracked down the Colonel to give her report on the small confrontation. "Colonel" she said stepping into the infirmary, she quickly spotted leaf in the bed "Colonel, the outpost, it was neither of our suspicions...what took it out was a Baykin Necromancer." she smirked "after 1,000 years, they have returned. we have a war on our hands. I don't think I've been been more excited."
  11. Killjoy chuckled "then we both stand on equal ground. We only got a small glimpse of each other's strength. He was their to gauge our individual strength, so what little we showed wouldn't be enough to give him even the slightest idea what our full potentials are. Though whatever he is...those eyes, there is only one thing that can have those eyes. Surely you two kids read up on your history. The Batkin...they have returned." A wicked grin grew on Killjoy's face "this is exciting indeed."
  12. ((yeah thats the one.)) The undead soldiers were instantly cut down as Killjoy just move through the mass of walking corpses as if they were never there. Bones and rotted flesh fell to the ground. Killjoy's movement were precise and swift, if one would have even blinked less than a split second, they would have missed mutliple strikes and steps "Kasey, Oakly, this fight is now pointless, its clear we won't be able to to reach the necromancer. Lets retreat for now and give Trax Time to catch up." she yelled for the her two remaining soldiers to hear. Pulling back from the fight this early would prevent the Necromancers study from gauging their individual strength. Killjoy dashed back away from the undead horde and started a mad sprint towards the tree line where the undead would have severe trouble following.
  13. Killjoy looked at the horde in front of her, she smirked as her gaze met Shade's "now is all of this necessary? Surely someone who took an outpost single handed can fight me one on one right?" She pointed her sword at Shade "so come now, you want to determine our skill yes? These walking skeletons won't stand a chance against me, let me see what YOUR capable of too, that is if you are afraid of death..." She said with a wicked grin.
  14. Maelstrom chuckled as he just leaned back "proud as always." Killjoy looked back at the two corpses of Red and Hobbs "no...this is more like a challenge..." She said looking back at the outpost " they knew we would see, if they didn't want to raise an alarm...they wouldn't have left their bodies behind." Killjoy stood up as she unsheathed her katana, the black ebony blade shined as the light revealed engravings if a foreign language all down the blade. She looked back at Oakly and Kasey "watch and learn kiddos..." She stepped out if the bushes and out to the open " and enjoy the show" she walked a few extra steps to where she was in plain view from the outpost.
  15. Maelstrom chuckled "say what you will, but I can't seem to recall ever seeing a sheep dog killing the alpha wolf along with four others and seriously injuring two. If not a wolf, a bear..." he argued as he leaned back in his throne. "Rival predators...you say dog, but I know what I saw in her gaze." He narrowed his eyes "no doubt...she was a predator alright." He glanced at Ally "in fact, she was a lot like you in a way. Even in her dying breathe, she had a smile on her face, as if she enjoyed the fight as much as you did even though you showed it a lot more."
  16. "Its just like most things in life, the ones you have to work for only become much more sweeter in the end, she didn't go down like the rest. Even though we lost half of our brothers... I can't help but admire the mortal's strength to last as long as she and her friends did. They fought with honor and courage. I remember vividly as if it just happened yesterday, that black armor she wore, torn to pieces dripping with blood. That large sword that she wielded like a feather, was chipped from tip to handle, blade cracking in two. Body riddled with injuries no normal human could survive. Those eyes, I'll never forget the determination in those blood red eyes, even though it was clear she was to die, yet she stood, ready to use teeth and nail to the bitter end. That was exactly what she did... if we were on the same side....I believe I would have fallen for her, she was also as beautiful as she was strong..." Maelstrom sighed "shame someone like her had to die." He looked at Ally "I know, I shouldn't be feeling this way towards my prey, but what can I say, she was a guardian wolf among cattle."
  17. Maelstrom sighed "Well there is a lot we still don't know, but like I said earlier, we need Shade to be cautious if your theories are true. I too remember our costly victory very well." He put his hand over his chest, there was a large scar across his entire front side of his body. The same woman Ally fought gave him the scar. "We wont make the same mistake ever again. This time we are prepared, and ready for that sort of opposition." He said as the memories flooded his mind "but if there are descendants, avoid them until we can gauge their strengths."
  18. "And let's all wish Shade the best of luck and give him all of our support. What happens next relies solely on his success." Maelstrom said with a slight grin "And we will be one step ever closer to what we have been waiting hundreds of years for, one step closer for us to be back on top of the food chain...and once again be feared by all around the world, eventually making Equestria a vampire nation." His voice carried the definition of authority "But we must be patient brothers, we have a long road ahead of us, stay strong for our victory is assured as long we stay united." Killjoy lowered her telescope "how can I sleep now when there is excitement just yards away. You two go on ahead, I won't be dozing off any time soon."
  19. Maelstrom didn't even flinch at the challenging words, instead he just smirked "doubt in loyalty..." he glared at Black Star "there's no doubt there is a Loyalty issue..." he stood up with his hands behind his back glaring down at the batpony mare. He looked around the room "forgive me if any of your were offended." he walked up to Shadow "i know there are some who only follow you, like Shade, dont think I never noticed, I'm not going to do anything. All I ask is his full cooperation even when you're gone, be it on tasks or by some random chance of fate you were ever slain, I need to know I can rely on him, that's all. So please be at ease brothers, none of your loyalty is being questioned, but..." he glanced back at Black Star "apparently I can't rely on one to keep a secret. Black Star I'll deal with you later." He said sternly "take that woman to the cells and then we can...discuss what to do with you." He walked back and sat on his throne. "If you still feel betrayed, please, speak up now."
  20. Maelstrom just put his head on his hand and thought for a moment "keep Shade on standby for now, keep an eye on the group of soldiers scouting the outpost. Through out history, the Sun Princess's soldiers were always a pain. A minor bump in our path, but won't stop my plans. Though do tell Shade to be cautious, we are a superior species but they have numbers and are very well trained. Especially if.... SHE had any descendants..." he said remembering an event hundreds of years ago. Maelstrom gripped one if the arm rests, the arm rest cracked and faltered as he crumbled in his fist.
  21. Killjoy chuckled "Well that's great news, haven't had a good fight in ages, if you are right Oakly, this will be quite fun indeed." She said with a sadistic grin "but then again, it's not like the guards in that outpost were trained like us, we are elite, they will find that out soon." Her crimson eyes summed to glow in the moonlight. Maelstrom just glanced at Ally "unfortunately not.. I send him to deal with a... domestic issue, so he should be returning within the fortnight and with any luck, some results." He said calmly.
  22. Killjoy glared at the group "that wasn't our orders, we were sent to observe from a distance, getting any closer without support will put this entire mission And our lives in jeopardy." She said quietly but stern "And of course it's a trap, do you not see the faded blood stains and small signs of a struggle." She sniffed "the blood is still fresh enough to smell." She looked back through her telescope seeing the small amount of activity "so I will say it again, go get in touch with the Colonal, tell him to proceed with caution, there is a small amount movement in the outpost, so expect a possible ambush." She said waving Leaf off "I didn't earn the Colonal's trust by making stupid decisions, and if you question me again Sepecialist." She glared back at Hobbs "I will kill you."
  23. Killjoy was sitting on a bench behind the group of soldiers "I'm right here you know." She said as she stood up stretching "Well let's go, we want to get there right the sun goes down." (Hours later, in the tree line around the outpost.) Killjoy laid down watching the outpost with a handheld telescope seeing absolutely no activity on the walls. She turned to Leaf "Ok runner, report to the Colonal that the outpost is completely abandoned and there are no signed of retaking. I suspect foul play... this has attack all over it, definitely been invaded." She said as she kept looking through the telescope, there were nothing obvious, only little hints here and there along the wall. "And it was a slaughter by the looks of it."
  24. Maelstrom looked back at the three Vampires now in the distance "Though it bothers me, I can't help but feel that not everyone is...honest to me. I believe there a few that are still going their own way and are still acting for personal gain. Surely you have seen it too Black Star." He glanced at Black "goes without say, ill need you to sniff them out and bring them to me alive so I can make an example out of them, what consequences disloyalty brings. I will have absolutely no tolerance for it." His voice was now stern "go now, and don't get found out." Killjoy nodded "Well don't take too long, trouble doesn't wait for us, we should only be out for a day or two, so pack very light."
  25. Killjoy laughed "You forget who you're talking to Colonal Trax, I didn't come this far, live through two wars, and gain the rank of Captain by just lazing around and throwing live away like garbage. You know me better than that right?" She asked with a chuckle "don't worry about the young ones, I'll have them all return in on piece, you have my word." Maelstrom's ear flicked as the whispers were heard, but kept walking "Black Star, refrain from antagonizing our brethren, for everything to go smoothly, I need everyone to be on the same page." He glanced back at Black "that means I need no rivalries over pride, especially with your fellow Silent Fang brethren. We can't afford hatred amongst ourselves, not now." He said with authority "do I make myself clear Black Star?"
