Character Summary: Sundrop Sprinkle was born to two pegasi in Cloudsdale several years ago. A strong child from a very young age, his parents, especially his mother, were overjoyed at the sight of his wings. Very powerful, they were slightly larger than those of the other pegasi, and he quickly learned to use them. His father, Sunshine Dazzle, worked hard every day in the rainbow factory making the most beautifully pure colors to cross the sky after a rain. Monitoring the flow for any inconsistencies, noting them, and checking them off with times listed. It was not exactly a glamorous job, but it was important and Sundrop truly looked up to him. His mother, Windy Trails, was a cloud sculptor and a professional racer when time permitted. She loves him very much, and while she is emphatic about his flight prowess, he seemed to be less than interested in the possibilities this presented for him.

His mother pressed for him to enter flight school, but he was having none of it, as a young foal he was truly interested in one thing and one thing only. Rainbows. They were so bright, so beautiful, like a bridge of glory connecting the heavens and the earth. He wanted to be part of that. He began to daydream about rainbows, big ones, little ones, bright ones, double ones! He began to imagine off the wall designs, more than just arches, and different colors. Though he knew it would never happen, it was a beautiful, unattainable dream. A dream he got even closer to the day he toured the factory. Zipping around on his almost freakishly strong wings, showing off in front of the other foals, so joyful, so free. Then it all ended.

In his gleeful abandon he smacked headfirst into an overhang. Disoriented, he lost control and tumbled, crashing into a mixer. So hot, it burned, the device tumbling him about under the surface. The had to stop it to get him out. He doesn't remember that part, he just remembers it suddenly stopping, then waking up elsewhere. His wings were set, as was a leg. He couldn't see, he couldn't taste, his breathing was labored. It took several months and adjustments to his sets to get him back in proper shape. The rehabilitation is ongoing. It is difficult. He is almost always sick, and he tires out very easily. His body has lost significant muscle mass from so much time being laid up.

He is now... Conflicted. He still loves rainbows, but he is almost irrationally terrified of them. He can't even go near the plant anymore. When his father comes home, he avoids him. He looks at his mother fearfully every time she mentions going to flight school after he completes his rehab. He loves to fly, but.. The though of falling again, like that, or worse. It is a constant pressure in the back of his mind every time he lifts off. He's spooked, it is difficult for him to function, but with the steady encouragement of his parents, he is beginning to get over his issues. He hasn't seen any of the children from the tour since then, but, he figures it is probably for the best. He is also quite happy with his new colorful look. He doesn't quite understand how it happened, but, it's pretty darn neat.
