Likes: Candles (mostly for the smells. his favorite is apple pie), exploring, history

Dislikes: math, close spaces, foul odors, the colour purple (he thinks it's very tacky)

Character Summary: (devided in sections below.)

History: Grew up and lived in Fet Loch from birth until the founding of his business. spent early childhood home schooled by his parents in their Potions shop which doubled as their home upstairs. after DustPyre got his cutie mark he was sent to Stalliongrad for formal schooling and was sent back home to Fet Loch after he received his degrees in candle/incense making and entrepreneurship. he started off selling these things and the like in his parents shop sharing the profit 50/50 but later on decided to go on a trip to stalliongrad with his father to go spelunking. when they returned, DustPyre decided to go on out the open road and sell his merchandise to the good pony folk of the towns he would visit. often times he is also found cave diving, exploring abandoned establishments and the like.

Parents: DustPyre's Parents are Potion Sales-ponies living in their two story shop that doubles as their home. they are currently living in the same shop/home that they raised DustPyre in. it is not often they see DustPyre but they receive a letter from him whenever it is possible for him to write one and have it sent. DustPyre's parents are very proud of as well as fond of DustPyre, and think that the travelling is a good thing for him.

Cutie Mark Story: DustPyre's Cutie Mark is a lavender colored Candle with burning wick. he received his cutie mark as a young colt. one day while he was unboxing supplies for his parent's shop. he was going through the materials within each box and organizing them on the shelves to be sold when he came across a box of candles with various types, each one individually labelled according to scent, and a few boxes of incense labelled in the same fashion. curiosity got the better of DustPyre (as well as the tantalizing aromas of the many scented items within the box) and he began to examine each by smelling them intensely before placing them on the shelf. he went through all of them and even made a list in his mind of the ones he liked most: blueberry, cotton, cinnamon, and then he picked up the last one and smelled it and his mouth watered with excitement and anticipation. he smelled it..."mmm, apple pie. good stuff" he said to himself and then he slipped it in his saddlebags and placed the 2 bits for it in the cash register and then began to examine the candle closer. soon enough he had it all figured out on how they were made. he spent the next month trying to fabricate a new one and after 3 weeks he successfully created the perfect apple pie scented candle, just like the one he loved so much. he lit the wick on it and smelled the aroma and then DustPyre felt a tingly warm feeling on his rump. he turned his head to find his cutiemark had come, a lavender candle with the wick burning. it was later on he made a few more and showed them to his parents and they began to sell them in the shop. the candles also multiplied in scents. soon DustPyre was making incense too. soon after he began to make incense, his parents sent him to Stalliongrad for formal schooling. when he returned with his degrees and education he continued to make his scented candles and incense and they became very popular among customers in Fet Loch.

Flaws: Terrible at math, can not stand the colour purple (funny consdering his cutie mark is lavender, but thats the irony in it), weak stomach

Personality: DustPyre is a very open minded and generally accepting pony with no prejudices or pet peeves (other than the colour purple and bad smells). DustPyre prefers to be called 'Dust' for short. DustPyre is very imaginative as well as curious, often times he will just decide to go and explore something just because it's there. DustPyre is mostly fearless but is prone to react to the ever infamous 'jump scare'. DustPyre has a certain attraction to fire but does not obsess over it. although he is primarily friendly to all pony folk (seeing as he is a merchant of sorts) he does have trouble trusting people in situations that require complete trust or faith in another pony or when life is hanging in the balance. his outlook is generally realistic, neither optimistic nor Pessimistic, however he is generally very philanthropic.
