Welcome one and all to the Elixir Tournament! This tournament poses the best of the fighters hidden throughout Equestria.

Whether strength be your trump, or magic be your will, beings of all races and abilities, appearances and ethnicities are allowed entrance into this one-of-a lifetime event!

The stakes are high, and the adversity is fierce, but the reward is worth dying for! Find out more about this incredible event below, and may the best thing live!

Introduction:

What on earth is this?

-The Elixir Tournament is a fighting tournament where the best of fighters are posed against one another to see who can survive to the end. This is the second showing of this event, but it is a much more massive version than the first.

The Elixir tournament's first edition was a fight tournament pairing fifty ponies against one another to see who was victorious. The victor, a unicorn named Rigid Reaper, took over the overseer's place soon after the first tournament finished, and started planning out the second tournament!

This second tournament isn't just a survival-of-the-fittest battle between ponies anymore. Due to Rigid Reaper's guidance, this tournament has become a full-fledged championship of the species! Combining all the different creatures into one battle and leaving the possibility of victory for all who enter was a tough challenge to meet. Rigid Reaper successfully formed this championship with the confidence that his event would bring out the most powerful fighter in all of Equestria and hail that fighter as victor.

What can I expect?

-Pandemonium, death, chaos, and destruction. There are no arm-chair philosophy conversations in the elixir championship, only fighting. If you are not a fighter, this is not the event for you. If you are a fighter, this is just about the best test of your abilities that you could ever dream of.

How many participants are expected?

-The Elixir Tournament is expected to accept over 750 creatures in it's current database.

Rules:

Unlike the information about this tournament, the rules are fairly straightforward and simple.

[colour=#282828]-1: Participants may only enter one character per tournament Participants are allowed to submit as many characters as they wish into the tournament so long as they fill an application for each one.

-2: Participants may not fight or [/colour][colour=#282828]sabotage[/colour][colour=#282828] one another until their match officially begins.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]-3: Participants may only carry a maximum of five items into the battle area, a minimum of one of those items being a weapon of choice.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]3-a: Participants may not carry concealed weapons into the arena. All items must be known to his enemy as well as the officials observing the fight.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]3-b: The items that a participant is capable of carrying into a battle are defined by the group of item. For example, one pony can carry five throwing knives into a fight and still have four other types of items available to take into the battle arena.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]3-c: No firearms, explosives, magic, or electronic weapons are allowed in this fight. Any such weapons will only be allowed in a planned multi-contestant match, or a fight where the contestant is given permission from his foe to bring in such weaponry.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]-4: No god-moding or absolute accuracy is allowed! Any participant noted using any action similar to either of these two over-powered techniques will immediately be pointed out and warned by the overseer.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]-5: The winner is chosen only after incapacitating or killing his foe. No [/colour][colour=#282828]seceding[/colour][colour=#282828] is allowed, and running away is futile unless incorporated into a strategy.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]-6: Performance-enhancing drugs such as steroids are PERFECTLY LEGAL. Just don't over-do it.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]-7: Participants may not discuss matters relating to politics while in the battle arena. Seriously. This is a fighting tournament, not a armchair debate club.[/colour]

[colour=#282828]7-a: Participants may not discuss their fights to others unless they have succeeded.[/colour]

Information:

-The victor of the Elixir Tournament is given the choice of one of five different elixirs.

The first is the elixir of might, capable of bestowing any who drink it incredible physical endurance and strength, as well as great pain tolerance.

The second is the elixir of wisdom, capable of widening the mind of any who consume it, providing the drinker with the ability not only to think far faster, but also to gain knowledge and understanding much faster than any normal-minded creature could.

The third is the elixir of magic, capable of increasing the magic power, pool, and focus of any creature who drinks it, whom of which possesses the ability to use magic or whom is only alive due to a magical natural force.

The fourth is the elixir of life, an incredible potion with the ability to bestow upon any who drink it the incredible power to not only live twice as long as a normal creature of it's race, but also to regenerate at incredible speeds, as well as to age half as fast.

The fifth and final elixir, the rarest of them all, is the elixir of time. This potion, unlike the others, is not consumable. The elixir of time is a veil set into a necklace which provides the owner with the ability to alter time at its wish. Unfortunately, it only works for slowing down or speeding up time, but the owner of this elixir is capable of changing time aspect not only for itself, but for others around it as well.

All of these elixirs last until physical death, and none of them have negative effects of any sort.

-The Elixir Tournament is a special event in which no decisions need to be made as to whether or not one will join. All those of which are capable of joining in the Elixir Tournament are scouted out by one of Rigid Reaper's many thousands of spies and teleported back to the Elixir Hall in the Badlands of Equestria. There, they await further instruction from the overseer.

-All participants are teleported back to the spot from which they came immediately after signing an agreement to not participate. All fighters who wish not to participate are given a monetary equivalent of ten bits for the interruption of their lives if they wish not to participate.

-The Elixir Tournament leaves no promise of sparing the lives of those who lose a round in the tournament. If one so chooses to spare his enemy's life, it is acceptable to end the fight by incapacitating one's foe. If you lose and you are spared, you are immediately teleported back to the spot from whence you came after recovering from your injuries.

-The way The Elixir Tournament is constructed, there is going to be a lot of PM chatting going on, for example, discussing who should win the fight between two characters, as well as what attacks go on. Disorganization and improvisation are great, but when it comes to fighting in an RP setting, you can only do so much with improvisation before you begin making incredibly short, dull posts.

Due to this, the overseer has constructed a system for fighting, socializing outside of fighting, and battle-construction so as to add some spice to the mix:

~Every participant who joins will be assigned to a fight. This fight will be chosen by the overseer. If a participant wishes to fight against any individual or individuals at the same time, the overseer will attempt to make arrangements to satisfy these wishes.

~Fights will sometimes be arranged versus randomly generated NPCs of the overseer's choosing. These fights will range from duels to team fighting, all the way to a free-for-all genocide match. Some fights will pair two Participants against two NPCs, or three Participants versus one highly powerful NPC, so on and so forth.

~Every time a participant joins, the overseer will immediately decide how to incorporate that participant into a fight.

~While participants are not fighting, they will relax in their resting quarters and enjoy a rest period all to themselves.

~After a fight, participants will relax in the infirmary until they are either cleared to return to their pre-tournament location, or the arena.

Will all of this incorporated, hopefully nothing will go wrong. The overseer plans on finding certain 'possible improvements' as he goes along with the Elixir Tournament, so expect the rules and information sections to change occasionally. [colour=#282828]Appearance: Black fur with a white mane and tail. Eyes are completely white, but eyes are never open. Mane and tail are both soft and silky, but still strong. Mane and tail styles are both long-flowy and even cuts.[/colour]

Personality:[colour=#282828] Doesn't talk much. Always spares an innocent life, but rarely finds an innocent pony. Prefers a calm, pleasant evening with no interruptions over all else. Finds friends useless, and enemies amusing. Enjoys poetry, and therefore only speaks in haiku.[/colour]

Fighting Style:[colour=#282828] Prefers evasive maneuvers, dodges, and swift strikes delivered with impossible precision. Plans out fifteen strikes in advance and always keeps his plan open for change. Leaves opponents with one opportunity per battle, which has historically always been their last. Never deals a fatal blow, but always incapacitates targets using a blunt strike or slicing his opponent into submission in non-lethal spots. [/colour]

[colour=#282828]Blind Side is capable of using the impact-multiplication attachments on his hooves to massively increase his agility and defensive prowess, along with his offensive strength. The pads which so perfectly multiply force also reflect impact of blunt hits dwelt upon them, and they allow Blind Side to jump ten times higher and faster than he normally would be capable of doing. These attachments also allow him to increase his movement speed as he runs, giving him a great boost of speed when he requires it. All in all, the attachments allow him to peak his physical and stealth abilities with incredible proficiency.[/colour]

Gear:[colour=#282828] Carries a hunting-knife fitted with a well-fitted grip for more precise attacking. Also carries two star-shuriken for stunning opponents or for distraction, and makes use of a metallic impact-multiplication attachment on his hooves for more powerful hits and better traction on the terrain.[/colour]

Weaknesses:[colour=#282828] Blind Side is a 100% blind pony. His vision is completely nonexistent. As a result, he cannot see colour, and cannot tell when certain things are around him. This blindness also severely limits his ability to sense movement and speed, and therefore, he is less able to hit moving targets at a range than normal ponies with sight would. His worst weakness by far is really loud sounds, and really strong smells.[/colour]

Strengths:[colour=#282828] Blind Side is 100% blind, but that doesn't mean he can't smell or hear. Blind Side's hearing ability is amped up to the point where he can hear a pin drop from fifty feet away, while still being able to adjust so as to not burst his eardrum if an explosion were to go off at a non-lethal range. His speed is also incredible due to intense training. His focus in combat is unparalleled by many due to his meditative practices. The balance of Blind Side is also fairly unbelievable. All these traits form together to give Blind Side the acrobatic edge over most, if not all his opponents. His acrobatics aren't his only strength, however. Blind Side is also moderately strong for a pony, being able to suspend boulders in the air without severely damaging his body. His ability to sneak around and blend in with shadows is also fairly good, if not intangible. His weapon skills aren't the best in the world, but he's more than capable of using the weapons he's used to, more so than most other ponies.[/colour]

Abnormal Abilities:[colour=#282828] Blind Side may not have the gift of sight, but he can still sense where ponies are around him using the sixth sense. If his hearing and smell don't work, intuition can lead him to the exact position of his enemy. Blind Side also has the talent of espionage strategy, allowing him to trick his opponents into traps where he can strike at their weakest point. Blind Side also has another ability which keys into his weapon. When dwelt a fatal injury, Blind Side can double-process adrenaline in his body and slow down his time-aspect, allowing him to process with a speed and precision beyond that of any other normal pony.[/colour]

Appearance: [colour=#282828]Soft amber eyes. A sand colored coat with a long jet-black mane and tail. Both are straight, layered, and well groomed. His mane is in a large broom-like ponytail. He has a thin chin-strap beard. He wears a standard karate gi that is white with a black belt that has 4 gold stripes on one end. He is of medium height and has a very athletic build with some mass. Has a more toned physique than muscular. His cutie-mark is a ying-yang symbol with a soft blue aura around it.[/colour]

Personality (Summary):[colour=#282828] Master Mustang is a very humble, modest, and kind pony because of his experiences and training. He excelled in all area's of martial arts but his true mastery was in the spiritual and mental concepts. He believes a true pony of the martial arts is a seeker of knowledge and a protector of those who can't protect themselves thus in his training he recieved the nickname "Mustang." The Mustangs, as his old master explained, were an ancient clan of ponies who were, in essence, monk guardians or paladins. They seeked the knowledge of the past in order to improve the future of their brethren as well as protect fellow ponies from evildoers who would seek to cause them harm. However, most seem them as nothing more as an old stallion’s legend.[/colour]

Fighting Style:[colour=#282828] Master Mustang is trained in an ancient martial art that has no name. It is a fusion of primarily the mysterious style karate and Coltrean taekwondo. There are some techniques incorperated from judo and jiu-jitsu as well. In his time teaching in, Brew came up with a name for his style; he calls it "the Way of True Heroes." His style has two sides to it. Mostly consists of swift and accurate blows designed to incapacitate an opponent with as little harm as possible in a very time efficient manner. It also includes using the opponent's momentum against them and taking away their balance. The other side to his art is the more serious and destructive potential. He can generate strikes with bone-breaking potential at rapid speed. Most of his techniques are counter attacks as he is a very defensive fighter.[/colour]

Strengths: [colour=#282828]Because of his long years of training, Master Mustang is stronger than most normal ponies of his size. His endurance is also astounding as it takes a lot to tire him out. Brew can also take a lot of punishment and press on forward because he was trained by his master in a very unique technique in which he can "turn off" pain. Brew strongest attribute is his agility. He is very nimble and fast. He is known to be able to strike about 6 times in one second, regardless of the technique. He is also very good at evading attacks. His agility is attributed to 2 specific traits which go hand and hand: his amazing reflexes and his keen hand-eye coordination. He can move very quickly too, able to rapidly close the distance between him and his opponent.[/colour]

Abnormal Abilities: [colour=#282828]Brew's master sensed that his student's chi was strong and trained him to use it. Using his spiritual energy, Master Mustang can amplify his phyiscal abillities when applicable. He also was trained in a very unique ability in which he can funnel his chi into his forehooves and create a powerful mass of spiritual energy to which he can launch at his opponent as an energy projectile. It is called the "Hadouken" or "wave fist." One other stange abillity is his sensitivity to the chi of others around him creating a type of "sixth sense." He can tell the general location of his enemy by locking on their chi signature which is a passive ability like an type of spiritual radar.[/colour]

You have to submit an application first. You don't need to have it detailed, but I recommend you at least spend five minutes on it. Of course, I'll accept you into the RP pretty much no matter what you give me so long as your character isn't OP.

Also, I made a few adjustments to the rules! I'd advise looking at the information and rules tab again, because it's a pretty massive change. It will add more depth to this RP.

...I like it! Doesn't have much personality, but no good fighters really do. Even still, I'd advise adding an actual weakness in, such as 'easily torn to shreds by magic' or 'enraged to psychotic levels quickly'. Something along those lines, which actually provides the overseer with some indication on how to match him with an enemy which isn't too similar to him, but not completely overpowering...

...he hasn't replied, and I'd prefer to let things advertise themselves. Plus I'm lazy. If no one else joins by the end of the first fight, I'll try advertising a bit more, because this will be rather pointless if I need to make a ton of characters all on my own just to keep things running... X3
