Doodle Doo yawned, waking up. Today was another day in Canterlot. She would get an hour to herself, if she was lucky, and then ponies would begin to stream in. Most of them were coming to pick up their commissions, since it was cheaper to do that than to have it mailed. Today she had to ship out about 25 paintings, all for one family. Some other ponies came in to buy art she offered. Most of it was just of scenes around Equestria, or the animals within it. She also sold art supplies for different things. She sold clay, acrylic paint, water colour, canvases, brushes, all sorts of stuff ponies need for art. She also held lessons, in case any pony wanted to learn how to paint. She jumped out of bed, making her bed before making some tea. Some ponies preferred coffee, but she found it much to harsh for her delicate tastes. While her tea was boiling she pulled out some breakfast pastries that would compliment the minty tea well. When the tea was finished she sipped on it, munching on the pastries. Her apartment functioned as her shop. The bottom floor was for her shop and doing commissions, the second floor was for herself. A tree grew on the second floor, thanks to unicorn magic and the large skylight. On one of the branches hung her pet three-toed sloth, Sim. He watched her, munching slowly on some leaves.

"Good morning, Sim! How did you sleep?" She watched him for a moment before continuing. "I slept great, actually. I have to go open shop now. I'll come up during lunch, okay? Bye!" She trotted towards the stair steps before fluttering down them, landing on the bottom floor. She opened up the cash register, making sure she had the proper amount in it and putting any extra away in the safe. She made sure the shelves were stocked and the general area was clean. She almost forgot to put out all the paintings for sale, pulling them out and hanging them from hooks on the wall. Happy, she rolled up the curtain and filled over the closed sign so it said OPEN. The window beside her said in white letters.

Doodle's Paint Shop

Commissions, art, art supplies, and lessons!

Something for the wisest painter to the novice!

Happy for herself, she waited for the first customer of the day.
