An accidental meeting (Andifferous, TheQueenOfMars)

Ember would stop mid stride upon hearing Dusty speak up, chuckling and gently setting the pegasus down as she gazed around the shop somewhat nervously. "Well, are you sure? There's a lot going on today and I'm already late opening up. Thankfully there's not a line outside the shop, so we should be able to catch our breath before any customers show up." Taking a deep breath in and out, ember would begin sorting out the various components on a large workbench, making sure to give clear concise instructions to Dusty about what was what, and how things worked. "I have a basic diagram for you to look off of. As per how the individual stars are arranged, you can be as creative as you like. That's what really gives these babies their 'wow' factor."

Giving a soft smile as well as a pat on the pegasus' back, ember would make her way to the door, unlocking it as the open/closed sign would be flipped around, letting anypony strolling past know that the shop was indeed open for business. Nodding in approval, the mare would trot back over to the pegasus, beginning to magically piece together the numerous shells, keeping an eye on dusty as she went. "See, once you realize where things go, it's not so hard."

Dusty nodded slowly at her instructions. He wasn't sure if he'd really be able to do this, and then she showed him the diagrams. At least there was that, which would certainly be a huge help. Very carefully he went about the work she gave him. Certainly he didn't have her skill or dexterity, let alone her special talent, but he did try, ending up going much slower than her, mostly for fear of what might happen if he packed one wrong. That was the last thing the wandering stallion needed, to be blown up by his own poorly packed fireworks.

Ember would work diligently, humming to herself as she pieced each firework together. After a while a small pile grew on her side of the workbench while only a few would appear on Dusty's side. Looking at the pegasus, she would notice the look of concern and almost worry on his face as he slowly, carefully pieced each one together. From what Ember noticed, there were no issues, but she figured she'd let him see how well he was actually doing. "Hey, gimme that...come outside with me," she said with a smile as she would open up the door, making her way to the bit of yard she had.

Dusty blinked, having been pretty focused on his work. The one she'd grabbed was a simple star-patterned one, which he'd just finished packing. "O-okay..." He said, following along. He wondered if he'd screwed up somehow and she was showing him to make sure he understood what he was doing wrong. For all he knew the thing might simply catch fire and burn like a regular block of wood.

Once outside, Ember would inspect the shell to make sure everything was properly sealed up before setting it down upon the grass and taking a step back, motioning for Dusty to follow suit. Once the two were within safe distance from the shell, Ember would grin, pointing her horn towards the fuse and sending s small spark towards it, the fuse catching and lighting immediately. "Perfect." Within seconds, smoke would begin pouring from the shell as it would suddenly fly into the air, hundreds of feet from the ground where it once stood until it disappeared from sight. Ember turned her face towards the clouds, grinning widely as she finally heard that signature 'boom'. Despite the sun being out already, the rich color of the stars Dusty had packed would shine bright in the shape of a star, a bright blue star that would expand, growing in size as it slowly faded from vision.

All ember would do was turn to the pegasus and smile wide. "See, you're a natural."
