Occupation: Unemployed; hoping to become a chamber maid for the Royal Castle and to enquire about becoming resident nurse there too.

Personality: Kind, obedient, loyal, intelligent, loving.

Appearance: Light grey coat, white mane and tail always tied back in an elegant top knot secured in place with her uniform's headband. Almost always seen wearing her black and white maid uniform.

Back Story: Growing up with 5 other younger siblings, she was always was cleaning up after them and realised she really had a knack for cleaning, but only got her cutie mark when she had to care for one of her brothers when he came down with a fever one winter.

"Mother When are we going to look for new workers?" Lightning said as she trotted along Luna's side.

"We're going to the local area to put up fliers."

Lightning thought hard, she wants someone that is loving and caring and not mean and nasty like the previous maids and butlers. She went through the town with Luna and hung up the fliers. She looked up at them and smiled.

Silken Fae cantered through the streets of Canterlot, heaving her saddlebags onto her back haphazardly as she ran. What a day to have overslept! Not only would she be lucky to make the printers before it got too busy, but it looked like she'd have to skip breakfast too. She turned a corner, sliding a few feet before regaining her pace and went charging into the printers to have her resumé copied out a few times.

"They'll be ready in a half hour," the printer grunted, and she nodded her thanks as she hurried back out again, hoping to find a slack cafe that she could grab a quick muffin in. After her breakfast, she threw the bits onto the counter and paused as something caught her eye in the window. As she read, her jaw began to drop. This was too perfect! She glanced around and noticed a few of these fliers, so assuring herself nobody would miss this one, she took it from the window carefully and ran back to the printers.

Fae trotted up the steps to the castle nervously, her newly printed resumé and the flier levitated carefully in front of her. She was almost at the door, when a guard stopped her for what seemed like the 100th time. She handed him the flier, and he nodded slowly, and handed it back to her. Breathing deeply, she composed herself, and entered through the beautiful doors of the Royal Castle.

Role: guard/music player.

Occupation: night guard for luna / plays music to for the young fillys and colts as lullabies.

Personality: quite loving at times but come to fighting and her words are mean.

Appearance: grey/bluey coat with a dark blue and purple slightly curled mane (matching tail) yellow slit eyes and fangs also a pair of black and blue wings. Cutie mark is a crescent moon with a g clef.

Back Story: (random for roleplay) born and raised by her mother and taught her how to fight. Joined the guards as soon as she could and has known everyone since. Often wears a cloak in the day because of her bat appearance.

"Welcome, Luna is down the hall to the -" just that instant, dozens of Ponies had run in the castle. Luna came running in with Lightning. "Whats going on here!" Voices came from other ponies saying hire me hire me! It was very overwhelming, that the guards had a hard time controlling them. "Bring in the batponies!" Celestia said. Luna looked down at Lightning, lightning thought, "theres going to be a lot of interviews..."

Seeing the rush of ponies come running in, Fae let out an exasperated sigh. There was no way she would get a job here now. She was a good worker but she didn't have much experience as a maid or house servant, and even if she did, she was almost certain that these ponies would be better suited to the job than she. Seeing the chaos, she decided to sit on a stone bench at the side of the hall, til someone announce how things would proceed.

She looked around at the flock of ponies and the guards trying to calm them all, and rolled her eyes. Did half these ponies even want the job or were they just here for the princess and for a taste of fame?

"Hmm. Lightning... go point out some ponies that look good enough for the job..."

As lightning did as she said she flew up into the air. She looked at the mean ones, the good ones, and the boring looking ones. She pointed out four different ponies. One of them was Ms.Fae, a older looking mare, and two males. Lightning gestured them foward. "Alright everypony!! If you were not picked please exit out the front door!!" Lots of ponies let out sighs and awes. Lightning walked up to the four ponies. She walked to Fae as she was the first pony in front.... "Hello, I'm Lightning. Welcome to The Canterlot Castle..." As she finished speaking, she gave a soft smile.

Moonlight flew in and landed with a thud as she nodded at the male unicorn guards. "Sorry try coming back next year!" She exclaimed and flew out watching them leave. When they were gone, she went inside and stood there awaiting further orders to show the new servant or maid around or simply if they wanted to hear her play.

"Moonlight!!" Lightning said with Joy and came running into her hooves. "I've missed you so much!" She smiled and hugged her.

Luna walked up to moonlight, "please show these ponies to the rooms they can stay in. We'll begin the interview tomorrow." Luna said and left the room.

Moonlight nodded at Luna and hugged Lightning. "Come on, this way the walk isn't too long," she says and shows them up through a load of stairs, revealing a large hallway with doors on either side. "Gentlecolts, these ones," she said nodding at the two to her left and then looked at the mares. "These two, they should have everything you need, please make yourself at home for no matter how long you stay here, if you need anything please just shout, oh and don't enter the room at the end of the hallway," she said and smiled revealing fangs.

Fae's eyes widened as the young princess flew into the air and pointed her out. She wasn't sure what was going on until the royal filly walked up to her and addressed her. Fae immediately sank into a bow and offered the princess a warm smile in return for her own. "Thank you, your highness, it is an honour to be here," she said, bowing her head.

She then glanced up at the guard pony who the Princess had affectionately embraced and called 'Moonlight.' She admired the stature of the guard and nodded in greeting, and followed as they were lead to the living chambers. She glanced at the door to the quarters and cringed at the sight of a trailing cobweb, which she quickly batted away. Grinning at the guards comment, she glanced down the hall to the forbidden door and shrugged her shoulders. Her job was to clean and tend to the sick, not go exploring mysteries.

"Will there be a wake up call? What time are we expected at? Where will the interviews take place?" Fae asked in a quiet tone, trying not to irritate her guide with her string of questions.

Moonlight smiled at her and knew she would be the best because she was so organised and well mannered and one of the first to not flip out by her appearance .

" I will come for you in the morning and knock on your door you will have half an hour to prepare yourself, interviews will be held downstairs, don't worry you will be fine, trust me, oh and try to stay I your rooms at night we don't want to scare you," she says meaning the other bat ponies like herself.

She smiled again and held her hoof out. "Moonlight Sonnet,need anything just say," She repeated herself.

After watching the ponies go to their rooms, Lightning went up to her room and looked out the window. Her mother was there raising the moon. She loved watching it. She wondered what her cutie mark would be, she wanted to get it soon so bad. She hoped it was a talent like nobody elses. After watching the moon rise, she went to bed. After all tomorrow was going to be very busy.

"I'm Silken Fae, thank you for your generous hospitality, Moonlight Sonnet," Fae replied formally, but added a gentle smile at the end. Soon after she retired to her room and got into the lavish bed that was laid out for her. She needed this job. It was everything she could possibly strive for and she knew that she would be good at it. With a castle so large, she was sure to be kept busy, and that's exactly what Fae liked.

With these thoughts in her mind, she began to sink off into sleep, feather dusters and the lure of a beautiful silk uniform... What would the morning bring?

Moonlight flew up and out of the window and took her place upon her stand looking out at the gardens, canterlot and seeing her princess take charge of the night. "Insidd Moonlight, " a guard said to her as he took her post. "Yes sir," she said and flew in resting on the piano. (Not my lyrics from Rio 2)

"Moonbeams and starlight, magical twilight,

The warmest ray hear it whispering your names,

Rainbows at midnight, sparkling night skies, don't go away, stay another day,"

Her sweet voice rings across the castle as she plays the sweet tune.

The next day, as the sun arose, Lightning jumped out of bed instantly. She was so excited! time to choose a new worker! She tried on her royal gear, which fit almost perfectly. She lastly placed her black tiara behind her horn just like her mother did. She flew down stairs and confronted her mother. "Where are the Applicants?" She asked. "They are still in their rooms, now go and eat breakfast." Lightning nodded. After breakfast, she went into the throne room and sat in her throne. She awaited the ponies, waiting to greet each of them.

Moonlight didn't sleep last night as she was on guard so she went up to thir rooms. "Ok guys wake up! You have half an hour to prepare yourself! " she shouted down the corridor.

She flew back downstairs in the throne room placing her cloak over her body. "Morning Lightning Luna and Celestia, " she bowed and then walked up to her room for a very well deserved sleep.

Lightning nodded at Moonlight, she felt serious today. She was going to be determined to find the worker she always wanted. She awaited in the throne room. Looking up at her mother and smiling.

Silken Fae woke up perfectly refreshed and ready to ace this interview. Unsure whether or not she was supposed to wear a uniform, or if one would be provided, she unpacked her own one, which had been folded neatly in the small trunks she had brought. She unfolded it and got into it, carefully tying all the ribbons in perfect bows and making sure there wasn't a fold out of place.

It had taken her 10 minutes to arrange her uniform, so she spent 5 more minutes brushing her mane and tail, piling her long white mane into a very elegant top knot behind her lacy headband. She still had 15 more minutes, so she took out a small oat bar and nibbled at it, making sure not to drop a single crumb on herself, or onto the floor. With 10 minutes to spare, she began to head down to the small entrance chamber on the side of the throne room, waiting to be called inside.

A small familiar voice called " Next " the oldest butler came. Lightning already didn't like him because he looked rude. "What would you keep in place if you worked here?" "I'd keep up the guards attitudes and make sure you, Lightning, would stay clean." Lightning felt insulted, "Next!". The old Butler left, and Lightning looked at the list. "Silka Fae, please come out."

Fae opened the door and trotted in, making sure to flatten and fold out her skirts before taking a seat on the small stool in front of the young princess. She nodded formally and inclined her head. "Good morning, Princess. I hope you had a nice sleep," she smiled, her eyes twinkling at the filly. She raised her head again and waited to be questioned.

"Good morning Fae. Welcome to the Canterlot Castle. I hope everything was given to just the way you like it." She smiled and flapped her small wings twice. "Would you like anything to drink, or eat?"
