The moon, her pale light,

Shining upon the water,

my breath is stolen

The cherry blossom

she falls upon the dark pond,

and sinks beneath the waves,

Oh, fate, you have forsaken me,

for she is gone,

and her place in my heart,

empty.

In my dreams

her memory still lingers,

and my heart is heavy

Cruel fate, the irony,

to be taken from me,

her beauty was alike to a thousand suns,

but now, gone.
