Unique Traits: he has a raspy voice and frequently coughs due to his poor working conditions while working at the steel mill.

History: when lighting was born, he had a brilliant blue and white mane as well as a snowy white coat. His youth was fine until the beginning of secondary school. The other children would pick and tease for reasons that they only knew. One day, he walked up to the "leader" and asked for a fight. Whoever won would get what they wanted. In the end, when lightning was winning, the leader of the bullies command them to join in. That day, lightning lost the fight, but the high that the sudden surge of adrenaline left felt amazing. Lightning suddenly started to pick fights with other students, for the sole reason of enjoyment. All this fighting gained him the nickname "strike". But all this fighting had sidetracked him from school. His grades dropped, his friends left him, and whatever hopes for higher education was gone. After he dropped out of school, he was forced to take a minimum wage job at the steel mills. After a while of working there his appearance changed. His Snow White coat turned gray from the smog hanging over the factory. His mane and tail turned a reddish brown from the oxidized iron dust in the air. When he showered for the first time in six months, he couldn't recognize the pony in the mirror. He was accustomed, and preferred, his gray and brown look, so he dyed his mane, tail, and coat to match. After being laid off from his job, he packed up his belongings and set off to wander equestria.

Character Personality: he always keeps a stoic look on his face, but once a conversation is started his face lightens. He is friendly and caring, but at random times he becomes closed off to his friends and surroundings.

Character Summary: lightning "strike" is a nomadic earth pony who is a friendly and caring pony with a troubled youth.
