Name: Cliff Noble

Gender: Male

Age: Stallion (young adult)

Species: Pegasus

Pelt Color: A sandy tan.

Mane/Tail Color & Style: A dark chocolate that sheens naturally in the light, moderately cropped. It's naturally straight and a little spiky, and looks fairly ignored, like he doesn't have time for it.

Eye Color: Green, not quite as dark as emerald but not quite as light as grass.

Cutie Mark: A stylized, heroic flight helmet with a 'rudder' on the top.

Physique: Slim, but not underweight; muscled, but not built. Of average height; not short for his age, but not on the tall end of things either. Moderate.

Residence: Currently living in Ponyville, but was born and lived his (very) young life in Trottingham.

Occupation: Assists the weather crew as a psuedo-permanent intern of sorts, but is limited to the "heavy lifting" -- pushing rainclouds and the like.

Motivation: Despite being somewhat clumsy, Cliff knows in his heart he's meant to be the best flyer Ponydom has ever seen. He feels the need to be in the air as often as possible, always working, rarely resting... He sees himself as a sort of 'hero in training', wanting both of his parents to be proud of him.

Likes: Bees; they're little creatures that have no business flying, but they do and have their place in the world.

Dislikes: Ponies who pop bubblegum! And bullies.

Character Summary:

Life isn't always as straightforward as it seems to be in Ponyville. Mr. Noble, a Pegasus who worked in Cloudsdale, was well liked, respected, with a level head despite it being in the clouds all day. A chance request for a change in weather brought the stallion to a nearby town, Trottingham, where he met the earthbound Fillie who would end up giving birth to Cliff.

A whirlwind of a romance later and the newly titled Mrs. Noble was joined by her husband. He began commuting back and forth to the city in the clouds. Many of his bronies disapproved, and he became ridiculed. It didn't take long before he was taken off the lead shift, given the odd jobs no pony wanted and had his hours cut. They made ends meet, but both wanted a better life for their new foal, Cliff Noble.

They moved to Ponyville, knowing a wide variety of ponies, unicorns, and pegasi all lived together. It was like a new world. Cliff was able to grow up openly accepted -- with only the occasional whispers of things like "half breed" from the other schoolponies. 'Nevermind them', his parents told him. 'Be true to yourself, son, and only good things will come.'

Mrs. Noble was able to help as an assistant at the local school, serving lunches; Mr. Noble took contracted work, traveling from place to place, doing the odd jobs only a strong pegasus (with experience) could handle. It meant he was away often for days, even weeks -- but family life, home life, has continued to be good, and the marriage strong.

Cliff is proud of his parents, constantly wanting praise and affection; especially from his mother, who often compares Cliff with his father. For a flyer, he's not terribly adept at flying. But the brony keeps his head held high, letting very little get to him. He knows in his heart he's meant for greatness - a point driven home by the appearance of his cutie mark the same day he decided to follow in his father's hoofsteps.

In most conversations, Cliff is seemingly an open book -- it's just that he lets very little get to him. A mistake that could lead another pony to feeling devastated is instead shaken off, the topic closed and his attention redirected just as simply as flipping the pages of a book. He may appear aloof for it, but he's not really - he's just too busy thinking about the greatness he's destined to achieve.
