Character Summary:

Marvin Ravenwing is a prodigy of sorts. Ever since he was just a fledgling, he'd worked along side his father in his smithy over at Iron Rock, a small mining town in the mountains over by Rockwington. Even at a young age he'd shown a knack for smithing, making his first knife before he even started primary school. As the years passed, Marvin honed his skills in black smithing, eventually surpassing his father as the best smith in town. By the time Marvin was out of secondary school, he'd become a great black smith and a large and powerful griffin. No one ever dared challenge him to a gauntlet of either the brawn or skill. It was probably for the best, Marvin never like competitions, besides those that involved smithing.

After several years of saving up, the large, dark griffin made his way over to Rockwington to open his own smithy. Unfortunately, he'd only saved enough to get a shop on the outside of Rockwington's smithing quarter, the Anvil District, and his shop lay close to the nearby worker's ghetto, offensively named the Slag piles for it's grungy residents and extreme poverty. Yet,Marvin managed to maintain his business and build a reputation as the youngest, as well as one of the best, smiths in the city.

As for Marvin himself, he was a kind fellow, hardened a bit from years of smithing and living in Rockwington. He'd always been kind to any griffin who came by, and loved a good conversation. He'd always stop in the street to talk to a passerby for a few moment (hours on some occasions), and even offered jobs to the jobless. In spite of all the crime and problems of Rockwington, Marvin was a model citizen, always standing up for the small guys, which came to as no problem due to his frighteningly brawny appearance. Although being such a kind griffin, he always found a chance to scare off the local gangs and thugs in a uphill battle to better the neighborhood around his shop. It'd be too hard for him to become the best smith in the area if his shop was plagued by those scum.

Even though Marvin was such a kind griffin, he still suffered from the social plague of racism and social superiority complex that most griffins were known for. He wasn't one to openly welcome half-bloods into his shop, nor any other non-griffin for that matter. He'd shunned them, as much of the neighborhood had, but it didn't matter much to him. If everyone was doing it, he might as well follow to avoid any bad reputation he might get for associating with non-griffins and half-bloods. But, when all was said and done, you couldn't really blame him. He was just your average country griffin from a mining town who liked a tall glass of ale after a days work after all.

(I'll post a sketch later, maybe a full drawing if i can do one or get one done)
