I use an 8-bit indexed .png format for these images because they don't need very many colors. At their original size of 2400x1500, they're usually only 60-80 kb in size. After uploading them, I just noticed that they're only showing up at a full size of 1600x1000 and end up actually being larger in file size.I'm guessing this is because there's a limit on dimensions for images uploaded here, and maybe when the gallery resizes the images it saves it using a normal 24 bit .png which ends up taking up more disk space.I dunno if this is big problem or anything. I can always upload the full sized wallpapers on ponibooru or my own website in a pinch. I just didn't know if you were aware that this is happening or not.
