Magic Bolt was adopted and raised at a Rock Farm, with both his Parents and his Sister (Earth Ponies). The colt was educated in the ways of the farmer, a simple life around the fields, collecting and selling rocks, and ebove all he always had a intense curisoity and the unpolished special talent of repairing any equipment that broke or misfunctioned with his magic (Or , that his Dad just dissambled for him to have some fun). He spent almost all his Foalhood in either the Local rural school with his friends, or the Farmlands playing and helping with his sister. A Pretty good Foalhood if you ask anypony.

As he graduated from the local (Basic) Education, his parents decided to start teaching him all that was left, trading with the outside world, and meeting his partners. After several days of anxious waiting Magic Bolt and his dad leaved towards Manehattan with a shipment of Carbonatites to be molded into slates for flooring and roofing. It was quite a large shipment for the farm standards and both ponies could barely carry it. Upon Reaching manehattan Magic Bolt really didnt bothered to look around the city. Completly tired Both, himself and his dad they decided to stay at a hotel for the night. But little did he knew that the next Morning that awaited for his arrival would change the colt destiny.

Along Celestia's sunrise the blue colt jumped out of bed, clearly remembering were he was, just looking trought the window he was amazed by the infraestructure, the airships, everything about it, to the point the blue Colt looked completly estupified and in Amazement at the Fillies and Gentlecolts that walked everywhere. Not before long he woke up his dad asking "Is Everypony in the World in this City?! Ivé never seen so many Ponies before!" pointing towards the Windows. As his dad sighed and replied "The world is big son, this is nothing but a city of hundreds" Magic Bolt eyes shined brighter than ever, so many new things to learn, to see, to live!

His dad leaved the room "Lets finish the shipment, we can go sightseeing then".

Trought a ardous walk they finally arrived. The Factory were the stones were transfromed into consumer products. As the pair entered, the rusty and grey pallete of colors that surrounded the factory cautivated the colt's mind. The movement of the gears and precition of the equiment aemazed him. But ebove all the magic and mechanisms that powered it all, the enchanted items that allowed it all to work and with that little and brief moment, his destiny was molded togheter.

Returning to the farm... wasnt as exiting as he tought. He wanted to visit the world, to learn more about its technologies and magical advances, He always wondered what the other side of the world might hold! Little by little the colt started researching by himself, getting bookss and manuals everytime he went with his dad to the city. He started not only learning about engineering and mechanics, but about what he missed all his life. Magic.

He started doing simple things like toys that moved by themselves, but little by little he made inventions that made the farm life easier, and in the end when he saw his dad using his own inventions, even after being against them at the beginning. He knew it. He was meant to bring technology to everypony, to! make everypony life easier, and ebove all to teach it to others so that everypony will be able to use the enchanents and inventions in their every-day life to make it easier!

After talking with his parents and sister, and lots of effort he pulled it, he got admited in Celestia's School. Finally learning what no Earth Pony and Self-teaching could do for him,teaching him real magic.

Just as he graduated he finnaly decided to establish his school one day on the city that iluminated his mind,To create the Manehattan Institute of Technomancy! But before everything, he decided to visit the world, to discover all his wonders, to discover every bit of technology and magic hidden in the most remote places so that way he can end his Magnus Opus by spreading what he learnt on his travels on his school.

This is looking like a pretty interesting character to me, although I'm curious as to how two Earth Ponies would have a son who is a Unicorn. You may also want to take a look through this post in the in-depth OC creation guide. Specifically, since we don't know how long the ponies of Equestria live, we try to stay away from using actual ages and go with the age categories listed there instead. I'd also suggest some expansion in the likes and dislikes section; only three each? Whenever I write a character, I try to get at least six of each on my lists, since I find it provides a bit more to work with, both when writing the character summary and when RP'ing.

Well, there are quite a few ways for a pony to be eccentric. I found a pretty good list of characteristics that could be considered eccentric on this Wikipedia page, so maybe that could give you some ideas for your character here. For your character, I think the ones off that list that may make the most sense are things like curiosity, high intelligence, and realizing that he was different from others at an early age (which would be helped along by being adopted by Earth Ponies).

Hi there - I just figured I'd ask if there was anything you wanted to add to the cutie mark story...I feel that perhaps there's a little room for expansion there since you don't really expand upon the chain of events that lead up to his acquiring it. It doesn't really need to be a huge tale, but I feel that perhaps giving it a paragraph will help expand upon what's already here, and give others an idea as to this important event.

Just my two cents on it, though - I don't think it's a HUGE problem overall, but it might help give added detail for others to consider!

Contrary to what guys on the IRC chat tought when i mean Unicorn Powered Flight i dont mean making a unicorn a freaking pegaus, i mean to show such things like:

Looking good! I figure when his father started to use his inventions around the farm is when he got his cutie mark as it was the moment he know what he wanted to do and what his special talent is.

I am curious which of his parents is a unicorn, he being a unicorn himself.
