Pinkie's Element of History Song!

Hiiii everypony! I wrote this for MoonSparkle's introduction topic, since Moonie admitted to not knowing much about FiM! Since it's the longest song poem thingy I've ever written, I thought I'd share with everypony! Also, it's a Pinkie song. Don't expect super smarty fancy pants English stuff

Iiiiiiiiiin olden days of doom and gloom, there was a scary monster named Nightmare Moon!

Princess Celestia, a wise strong mare, knew eternal night just wasn't fair!

Sisters they were, but still they fought,

Until by the Elements of Harmony Nightmare Moon was caught,

"Banished you are!" Celestia said,

with tears of sadness and a sense of dread.

Into the moon went the dark mare,

and Equestria recovered from its scare.

A thousand years later, enter Twilight!

Celestia's student, unsurpassed in raw magical might!

She saw the signs of the Nightmare's return,

But her fears her teacher seemed to spurn!

To Ponyville Celestia sent her that day!

To make new friends, to pave the princess's way!

First she met hyper Pinkie Pie, a pink earth pony cheery and spry!

There wasn't much talking done, cuz Pinkie gasped and then was gone.

To Sweet Apple Acres Twilight went next, joining Applejack's family for food as their guest!

Full to bursting that pony was, but she waddled off to continue her cause.

Next came Rainbow, fastest pegasus in the skies!

She cleared the clouds so quickly Spike had googly eyes!

Seemingly lazy, but quick as a flash,

Impressed Twilight did Rainbow Dash!

Then there was Rarity, beautiful as Twilight was smart.

The instant they met, that unicorn stole Spike's heart!

She was in charge of decorations for the princess you see,

And she made them as perfect as perfect can be!

Finally Fluttershy, a quiet animal lover.

Not the strongest flyer, she usually just hovers!

Making music was her task, and her furry friends she didn't hesitate to ask!

She started off shy but was fascinated by Spike,

She followed so long Twilight almost told her to take a hike!

Finally done, Celestia's student thought she was,

Until downstairs there was a noise, Pinkie was the cause!

Every pony in Ponyville she had brought for a party!

They were all there to meet the town's new resident smarty!

From dusk til dawn they raised the library roof,

everypony was happy, shaking a hoof!

The Summer Sun Celebration was finally here,

Now to the Mayor ponies lent their ears!

"Welcome one, welcome all!" she called over the crowd.

"Please greet our Princess! Be joyful, be proud!"

But their regal leader could not be found,

In her place appeared Nightmare Moon,

Causing panic most profound.

Eternal night reigned over Equestria once more,

Away Twilight rushed, to learn the rest of the lore!

"The Elements of Harmony!" the pony cried with a grin,

But soon she was scared when she learned of the forest they were in.

To Everfree now went Twilight and friends,

But the confusing book they couldn't yet comprehend.

What were the Elements? Magic? Some gems?

For all they knew, they were just whimsical whims!

Manticores, rock slides, traitors, oh my!

There was even a river serpent and spooky trees that made ponies cry!

But one by one, Twilight's friends came through,

Proving their worth, showing what they could do.

Finally to Luna's old castle did they arrive,

Twilight Sparkle and her loyal friends five,

They found the Elements, but they were just rocks!

Nightmare Moon showed up, and the ponies she did mock.

Gathering the Elements she teleported to a far tower,

Twilight jumped into the spell, this was the final hour!

Pony to pony they faced off on the stone,

But still the Elements didn't turn on!

All seemed lost, it looked like Nightmare Moon had won!

But to Twilight's aid her friends did run,

She wouldn't fight alone, they would unite as one!

Now Twilight realized that the Elements weren't a what, but a who!

Together those pony friends formed Harmony, tried and true.

Honesty, Kindness, Generosity, Loyalty, Laughter,

Put them together and Magic followed soon after!

Their foe disappeared in the Element's rainbow of loving might,

and in came Celestia, shining with light!

In Nightmare's place huddled Luna, her sister once lost,

the sibling the Princess had vowed to return, no matter what the cost!

So it was that Equestria again had both day and night,

ruled by the royal sisters, powerful and bright!

And Twilight learned that her teacher was right all along,

The friendships she'd forged were both pure and strong.

Now in Ponyville Twilight stays, learning new lessons with her friends almost every day!

It's not always easy, the lessons only sometimes concrete, but one thing's for sure:

It's always worth it, and the magic of friendship makes it all complete!
