Origin/Residence: Originally from Trottingham though is currently traveling through Equestria.

Occupation: Illusionist / Traveling Performer / Avid Leaner

Motivation: To see as much of Equestria as possible while learning as much as he can, and while trying to keep some control over his overly excitable twin brother.

Character Summary: Pocus and his twin brother were born to a unicorn and earth pony couple in Trottingham; while their father had once been a great and talented performer he had settled down and decided to start a family. There was some hint of disappointment when his children turned out to be earth ponies as he had hoped to have them carry on where he'd left his career behind as a show-pony.

From an early age the pair proved to be tricksters, enjoying the games they could play on their classmates by switching places and confusing even their closest friends. Over the years those that truly knew the pair would find it easy to distinguish between them like their parents could. It was during a class talent show that their father's dream was shown a glimmer of hope. They immediately decided on a magic show - especially encouraged by their mother who often told them that just because they were earth ponies didn't mean they couldn't do just as much as the unicorns and pegasi.

While they did not have the magical gifts of a unicorn, they did have each other and their own cleverness and under the bright lights of a stage it was so hard to distinguish the slight differences in their eye colors. Their personalities were even perfectly masked behind the stage act that was nothing but dramatic. It took them a number of weeks to perfect their trick with it's smoke bombs and mirrors but they pulled it off and the instant their classmates cheered in appreciation for all their hard work there was the unmistakable satisfaction of not one, but two young ponies earning their cutie marks.

Over the years they continued their act in talent shows and even at classmate's parties before becoming of age and moving on to fulfill their father's dream of becoming performers. Their sense of adventure leading them to take their act out on the road, to learn new tricks, to perform new shows and to meet new ponies.

Pocus is the mastermind behind all of Hocus's tricks, while Hocus may originally come up with the idea it is only with Pocus's extensive self-taught education that the tricks can be performed. When not entertaining and performing alongside his twin brother Po almost always has his nose buried into a book. While the brothers are traveling and performing and Hocus is fulfilling his need for adventure Pocus is taking the opportunity to visit the libraries and bookstores of all their stops, picking up and reading books that he originally wouldn't have had access to in his home-town. Pocus is a very shy pony, it's only in the company of his brother on stage that he finds the courage to be as open as Hocus when they are working together. He will often find himself being used as part of Hocus's tricks and jokes for entertainment.
