*united clans of the Cynogriffon Empire*

By: Victoria Trailblazer

'The Cynogriffons are an ancient and industrious race that is long past its prime. Their once-great empire now lies in ruins and many of the Cynogriffons mighty mountain citadels have been abandoned or conquered. It is not uncommon to hear a Cynogriffon wistfully recall the great glories of the past, observing bitterly that nothing the Cynogriffons do in this day and age can compare to the majesty of what once was.

An enormously proud people, the Cynogriffons are quick to react to anything, real or imagined, and remember any such infraction for years, even passing on the responsibility of vengeance to their heirs through their toms of Grudges. It is perhaps because of their obstinate pride that the Cynogriffons refuse to openly admit that their culture is slowly creeping towards its end. Inwardly, however, they know that they are a doomed race. This gives them a uniquely dour outlook upon the world and perhaps explains their great fondness for drowning their sorrows in tankard after tankard of ale.

In fact, the only thing that the Cynogriffons love more than a good mug of ale is war. A Cynogriffon in the throes of war lust is a thing to behold. The race's legendary drive and stamina is brought into sharp relief when they are presented with the opportunity to wage it. As solders and experts on swordsmanship, the Cynogriffons are without peer in the art of war.' Victoria trailblazer

My dear readers this book you look on is the work of 4 years, thousands of miles and the loss of five of my crew. This book is ever thing I know of the Cynogriffons and the land they call home the Aye of the Northland.

'Day 67: Nothing; that's all we can see the mist is so bad we can't see past forty yards. But the crew is saying they saw something fly close to the ship this morning, hard to say what it looked like ever one is telling me something different. A sea muster to a barking Demean, but they all can say it had two glowing yellow eyes… The same glow my long lost love Winte-' I dropped the ink feather as one of my crew yelled out something… a ship? A ship out here!? I yelled to myself as I rushed top deck and looked off the bow… It was no ship I have ever seen, no sail no mast. On the bow was a Dragons skull… a Reel Dragons skull and off the port and starboard was eighty ores all moving in time with the hammering of some drum in the ship. We all looked on in awe of the ship as it moves closer and closer and on the side of the Dragons skull was something hanging on… I looked closer and saw the yellow eyes, the white fur and the Griffin like talons on its front pa- My heart skipped as it all hit me, this was a Cynogriffon.

'We…. WE WISH YOU NO HARM!' why did I yell that? I had to think back to what my long lost love told me, I had to say something before they killed us. 'INGEN KRIG ! Vi ønsker handel! HANDEL!' oh, I hoped whatever I just yelled was going to save us as his wings opened, pushed off and landed just in front of me. 'Handel? Ja men hva ER deg?' he barked at me, what was he saying? 'W-We are ponies! F-f-from the land of Equestria, we do not wish war with you…' He just looked at me as if I was mad, barking spiders we must all look like mad ponies to him, what did Winter tell me to do on meeting a Cynogriffon? Look him in the eyes and whatever you do never back up… Well here go's nothing I looked him in the eyes and moved forward and he did the same back and in just two steps we were nose to and he barked something at me; I think it was 'Du kaller inn til ord min kraft? jeg kan drepe deg her er for du selv kan kreve hjelp!' Well whatever it was I yelled it back at him with all the power I can muster and pushed forward! He backed up and tripped on some rope and fell on his back side, did I win? I'm living I know that so I did not lose-'EEP!' I moved back… at least eighty or more Cynogriffons were flying or sitting watching me; the big one picked his self up and… bowed? He was bowing at me! And all the others fallowed and cheered 'Hagl den nye warlord!' I learned later that I just won myself a clan and the start one crazy adventure.
