[Canterlot] Happy Working Song

It had been a number of days since Damsel had made a modest purchase at the small bookstore where she'd crossed paths with the stallion know as Escrime searching for his manuscript. The experience had only served to encourage Damsel that the book shop was something she wanted to continue pursuing despite the slight protesting from the aging stallion who could not longer properly run the place. After an evening meal with her father, a trusted friend to the old stallion he had finally agreed to retire - selling his shop to the eager young mare with the hope she could bring the place back to life.

A few days has passed while all the paperwork was being arranged but nearly a week and half later Damsel stood outside the shop she now owned. She couldn't help but smile even at the pitiful sight of the small shop that would need quite a bit of work, it was her's. Stepping forward she stooped to deposit a small stand up bulletin board with a freshly painted sign on the front to stand up near the front door.

Under New Management!

Once that was in place she unlocked the front door and propped it open to get some air and light inside. Sure enough the old shop was still cluttered and messy from her last visit though half of the books that had been piled on the floor were still in the neat piles she had arranged while browsing the weeks before. Her ivory horn immediately began to glow with a faint rosy pink hue and the mare's elegant long mane twisted and wound itself up into a neat bun along with her long tail until most of the golden strands were tucked and clipped into place by pins from a bag she carried over her shoulder.

The saddlebags were lowered on the front counter and the mare set to work humming happily to her. Pile after pile of books were levitated from the floor or from a book shelf and into a box then the box was taken outside where the weather was nice and she could get a little bit of work room in the shop. As books were moved aside Damsel made note of where the building structure needed repairs and which book shelves needed to be fixed or replaced.

The young stallion's hammer hitting the metal could be heard all over the place, while he worked hard on a single horseshoe. It was no easy work, specially for a stallion who wasn't sturdy enough to hold the weight of metal for long periods of time. But he still had faith and determination in his young heart, a thing that forbid him from stopping. He had to help his father with the business. He was just too old to keep running it, and his son's cutie mark that kept hitting the horseshoe showed his talent was aimed towards the metals, and to work them. And that was what he truly liked and loved, making him work more and more everyday. All of his customers, who were usually knights, loved the results that came out for their armours, horseshoes, or even helmets. Too bad they didn't treat him the way he deserved... Those were the only few moments that made the somewhat fragile stallion frown and perk hi ears down against his head. Nevertheless, he had always dreamed of being a knight just like them. The first nice knight, he always said. He knew not much ponies knew about that secret dream of his, but that was simply because he didn't want to be made a fool of.

That young stallion was Silver Anvil. A stallion full of dreams, passions and good will inside of his heart. As soon as he was done with the horseshoe, he tossed his long cream mane back and sighed, looking over at the training fields and dozing off for a moment, only having good thoughts to himself. How he would be brave, wear the objects he wa able to work with himself, and so on. But right now, he had another passion to saciate: exploring what was new in his hometown, Canterlot. He had heard something about a new manager running the bookshop, and he wanted to have a closer look. Hanging all of his tools and complete pieces, he headed to the outside, locking the wooden door after him and happily prancing through the path that lead to the village itself. He caught sight of several new things, but the sign announcing "New Management" really caught his attention. He took a few steps forward, and only then he saw a mare standing by the door, which made him go slightly speechless. But he shok his head and tried to shyly smile, walking towards the mare.

"Why, hello there... Are you, heh, the new manager of the book shop?", he asked, his voice trembling a little bit.
