The constant puffing of air from his nostrils as he continued to trek through the underbrush and where the path had overgrown at times. He had no idea why the Commander of the battalion had sent him off. It was probably for the best a lone pony was harder to spot and easier to conceal than an entire company.

Another hoof crushing through some more stubborn undergrowth. It had been 7 hours since he had taken a break, Cool Temper found a more hidden spot among some trees and checked his saddle bags. He still had enough rations to last him another week and some water, deciding to take a quick sip of his water he noticed he was nearing the Riverstadia and decided this would be a good place to refill his water container and move on, something was making noise far off from him.

Cool Temper hid his saddle bag in the bushes and crept over to where the noise was coming from, watching the river seeing a small filly and a raven in the water playing, Cool Temper sighed and collected his saddle bags. Walking over he noticed she was giggling "What brings such a small filly so far away from home?" Cool Temper pushed through the last bit of brush and appeared a few feet away from her.

He watched in amazement as the young filly took off through the under brush, sighing quietly to himself and slowly refilling his canteen and deciding either to chase down the little mare before she hurts herself or to just wait for her to return, even with his body aching and his desire to finally rest after a long hike Cool Temper set his bags down in the little alcove and stretched out before slowly following the tracks the filly left behind. This was the only way to find her and assure her safety. By tracking her down and hopefully finding her unhurt.

Cool Temper heard the bird cawing above which helped him in his search, trying to track a filly pegasus was extraordinarily hard being so light being a filly than a pegasus made the situation harder, leaving the minutest amounts of trail behind her he continued onward, upon finding the trail that seemed a bit fresher he noticed the direction she was heading in Why head towards the mountains? Stalliongrad is due South-West of here not north. She is probably trying to find some shelter. But why would such a small filly be out here all alone? Did she run away from home? or was there a home to run away from? While thinking these thoughts he didn't take care to the noise he was making or the tree that appeared in front of him.

Well that was pleasent. He grimly thought rubbing a hoof on his forehead where the tree had struck him. Noticing the trail seemed ever closer he decided to speed up a little yelling out "I am not here to hurt you little filly! I am just trying to help! I have food and shelter just back to the river and a home in Stalliongrad! Just don't run away! I don't want to find you hurt!" Cool Temper finished bellowing out. Hopefully she would stop and think.

A voice had been heard off in front on him than all of the sudden a small filly face appeared startling him, after taking a small step back he realized it was the filly he was searching for. "Oh thank goodness! You're all right! Are you hurt? do you need anything?" Cool Temper bent over and picked the filly up onto his back before trotting back to the location of his saddlebags. Making sure not to step on any roots in the ground and to keep from jostling the small mare on his back.

After a few moments of travel "Why are you all alone out here? It is dangerous for such a small mare to be alone. Are you far from home? Do your guardians know you are away from home?" Cool Temper sighed after speaking all the questions at a rapid pace. His mind could be at ease now knowing the filly wouldn't be hurt by any creature this far into the woods. If he had enough strength in him they would hopefully make it back to Stalliongrad before nightfall to his home.

Cool Temper felt the small mare shifting on his back more than once, making walking the terrain a bit more difficult since weight was being moved around near his centre of gravity, luckily they did not fall. Upon re arriving at the site where he left his saddle bags the stallion walked over and fetched a blanket along with some bread.

Wrapping the blanket around the small pegasus and placing the bread in her hooves he smiled before searching through his saddle bags for the dried out nutritious rations he had. Which were by far not the tastiest thing to eat but it would allow him to continue his hike all the way back to Stalliongrad with the small mare. "It's no problem little filly. I'm just glad your okay is all." he mentioned with a somewhat tired voice.
