I think I might have to put this off for a while since I'm only 15 and don't have access to any 'Good' recording software. Unless I can get a really cheap good mic from somewhere I'm going to have to wait a couple of years.

I just sing I don't play any instrument. I just installed Audacity so I could put my voice onto a song but I'm still trying to work things out.

Hello All, Melody Lyric here. I've started a new YouTube channel where I will be doing songs but I want to create my own songs based on ponies I have made up (For example Melody Lyric, Golden Dreams. Etc.) but, I have no idea how to make music. At the moment I'm covering twlight's I've got to find a way (Oh why). If anyone can give me any advice on what programs to use or if they could join me on making music, Please Reply to this post or Private message me. They could, its all down to Genetics. The explanation in this case was that, Melody was meant to be an Earth Pony like the rest of her family but, there was a gene mutation which caused her to be the only Pegasus in her family.

There was once a time in Canterlot, When only Unicorns Lived there. At that time an Earth Pony couple moved into Canterlot and had a little Pegasus Filly called Melody Lyric, She was a beautiful pink pony with a brown streaked mane and tail. As she grew older, no pony would be friends with her since she had wings and no horn. Melody Especially hated school since she couldn't learn any magic; that wasn't the only think she hated though, there was 1 unicorn at the school who just wouldn't give up. Her name was Golden Dreams. Melody got so much grief off them and had no pony to turn to. That's when HE moved in, The most handsome-looking colt moved into her school. His name was Lightning Star. When she met him, she was over-the-moon when he became friends with her. Melody wasn't the only filly with a crush on Lightning, Golden Dreams also had a thing for cute Unicorn colts and would suck up to him as much as possible just to ruin Melody's chances. After about a year Lightning's family were moving away from Canterlot and therefore Lightning had to go too, Melody, now heartbroken, was forced to live the horrid life she had before he arrived. Later that month her cousin Octavia asked her to visit her on the other side of Canterlot, since Octavia had just got her cutie mark and wanted Melody to come over to celebrate. Octavia could see that Melody wasn't happy and asked her to talk about it, she told her everything, the rough life of a Pegasus in Canterlot, Golden Dreams the bully and Lightning the pony she adored. "I can't do this anymore Octavia, I can't stand it!" Blubbered Melody as she burst into tears. Octavia then advised her "Melody, Just show that bully that your better then her and she will leave you alone!" Octavia then asked "Is there any way to show off in your school... Like a ... Talent Contest?". Melody then remembered there was a talent contest coming up soon, but remembered that Golden Dreams always entered as a singer. She knew what she must do. At Last the day for the Talent Show came and there was a wonderful array of talents ranging from magic acts to comedy, Golden Dreams had just been up and had sung an amazingly accurate song. "Last Contestant Of The Day : Miss Melody Lyric" Said the exited tutor. Melody Shyly walked onto stage and the backing track started, it was a song she wrote herself called "I need you", a song secretly written about Lightning. As soon as they finished G.D stared on her, telling her it was the worst song ever written, all because she was a Pegasus. All the acts then got called out, a magic act got 3rd, a violin player got 2nd, "And in first place, Put you hooves together for: Miss Melody Lyric, with the amazing Hoof written song 'I need you'". She walked on stage and everypony gasped, she wondered what was wrong until the tutor points at her flank and says "Well done". She looked around and a red heart with a lightning bolt and 2 music notes had appeared on her flank. From that day on she wasn't bullied at school and had plenty of friends to play with. "It's what Lightning would of wanted" she thought to herself!
