  1. Candy would nod at Sky's remark though it didn't put the new shop owner's mind at ease. The thing that did however was when one Ice Storm entered the shop. If anypony knew how to deal with a situation, it was her. It was clear to anyone in the shop though she was trying to just keep busy. She'd bow to Sky and Windy to excuse herself to the backroom, two empty barrels in her aura. Returning a few minuets later with full replacements, she'd just be in time to see the crazy pegasus fly out one of her side windows...on that was already open thank goodness. Sighing, she'd fill the empty spots of the Bit candy.

With the craziness dying down, Candy would make her way over to Ice Storm and give her a one hoofed hug. "Glad you could make it," as she levitated a bag of candy corn to Ice. "So, you working or browsing?" she'd joke.

Candy's ear would twitch as she heard a young voice asking to enter the store. Candy would look over to her and smile. "Yes you may enter." Candy would walk over to the little zebra. "I think you won most polite customer of the year," she'd say as she would give the filly a small bag of candy corn. "This is on the house. It is my specialty. If you see anything you want from one of the cases, let one of my workers know and they'll get it for yinz. We also have popcorn as well."

Meanwhile, Salty had finished her first batch of the banana taffy. Proudly she'd call to Sky and Windy before tossing them each a piece to try. "It's Candy's recipe. What do you think?" At the same time, Beans would also call out. "Um...Miss Golden, can I get your assistance?" Coco Bean had kept up with all the sales and had a unique problem, one that he hopped the mare that Candy rented the building from could assist. "It seems we um...I'm out of room in the register. I don't think I've ever see so many bits in my life, and it's a miracle considering how everything isn't that expensive."

Seeing that Goldie was going to be needed, and Ice had everything under control, Candy would take the time to give the zebra a personal tour. "My name is Candy Corn, what's yours? Any kind of sweets in particular you’re looking for?"

  2. Candy looked back to the crazy adventurer at the cash register. Beans was in shock with each item that Pathfinder pulled out of the bag. Candy on the other hoof seemed to cringe with each item. She'd have to take a few deep breaths to keep calm. When the bloody arrows where pulled, she mumbled under her breath just loud enough for Sky to hear. "Please do drip on anything. Please don't drip on anything..." When the dagger came out, the unicorn would go pale for a few moments. The last item that she saw however made her heart jump a beat as she looked to Glimmer and the caramel apple to keep her eyes off anything else that might shorten her life or time as a shopkeeper. "Are most of the ponies in this city this....um....crazy?" she'd say to Sky as Pathfinder finished her transaction. Beans behind the counter let out a huge sigh of relief. "Have a nice...um...safe day?" the older colt would say handing her the purchase.

With all the talks of cults, Candy was getting an upset stomach. That's the last thing she needed...not just today, but any day. Thankfully Ice Storm was the next pony in the door, putting the mare's mind to ease...or at least as much as one could be on her grand opening. She'd levitate a few hard candies in to her mouth to settle herself down as she leaned against the piano. "Play something relaxing please. I need to calm my nerves for a moment." As Sky and Windy both showed the mare their wedding bands, Candy could only nod. Did she have feelings for Windy, yes...but it was sisterly love. Her return kiss was out of instinct and nothing more. When today was all over, she'd have to have Windy and Sky to dinner to explain her feelings.

  3. Candy was surprised as she found herself pulled in by a wing. “Most of my recipes are a combination of family hoof me downs and my own tinkering. When yinz have the long winters that we have in Bittsburgh, you have time to try new things before the fields are ready for corn again. I also did my apprenticeship under a mare in Ponyville named BonBon. I learned quite a bit from her about different chocolates.”

When the adventurer pushed her and Windy together, her brain took a second to process what she said. “What was…” before she could finish, Wind Dancers kiss found it’s mark. Candy’s face turned as read as the candy apples in her case. Her heart began to pound and she began to feel faint. She could have never dreamed that the farm filly from Bittsburgh, first kiss would be so…memorable. A first kiss she would never forget and the exclamation mark on her opening day. After a few moments, she’d return the kiss, but to Windy’s cheek. She had some emotions to work out after today was over.

The unicorns mind had to quickly switch back to shopkeeper for the time being as Pathfinder’s list grew. All the items Pathfinder listed would be collected and brought to her other apprentice who was ringing up the orders. “Coco,” Candy would say. “Largest order so far.” He’d nod and quickly input the numbers into the old brass register. “85 bits is your total.” Candy nodded in agreement as she also had done a running total in her head. “Oh and here’s a complimentary sample bag of my namesake, Candy Corn to enjoy.”

Looking over at the piano and Sky, she didn’t know what to think. She had just gotten to first base with Windy after all…. With a quick sigh she’d grab a candy and a caramel apple and bring them over to Sky and Glimmer with a blush on her face.

  4. Candy Corn was pleasantly surprised by the volume of candy she was selling through. As was to be expected the early favorites where the old time hard candies as well as her speciality. Between greeting, she’d check her stock. Excusing herself, she’d make her way to the storeroom in the back, moving to the beat of Sky’s ragtime melody.

Salty had gotten the antique taffy machine running. Sure it was old, but it was an upgrade to what she was used to in Baltimare. She was grateful that Candy had found a flywheel model as apposed to the more common unicorn powered ones. With a flip of a lever, she was off and running. “Let’s see what flavor for today is?” The young pegasus would read the recipe. “Oh, banana taffy today. That should be popular.” Salty would be startled by the overexcited customer that had just come into the shop. Upon hearing she was pretty she’d blush before returning to her work as it seemed that Wind Dancer had everything in her hooves.

Candy would return from the backroom with two barrels of candy in her levitation. Overhearing the question about popcorn, she would instinctively answer with the cost. “5 bits for a small bag, 10 bits for a large. We also sell the kernels that you can pop yourself for also 10 bit. It should make about 5 batches.” Swapping out the the fresh barrels, Candy would quickly return the empties and the back back before returning in want seemed to be only a few seconds. Looking at Pathfinder, she’d smile “Only the best for my shop. Grown on the Corn family farm in Bittsburgh. Is there anything else it can answer for yinz or dose my bestie have you covered.”

  5. Candy would smile to Sky as he went to work. "I have some popcorn oil somewhere in the back," she'd joke. Upon hearing Goldie ask for a vest, her horn glowed orange as a saloon style vest would levitate to her. "If ya just want to get customers going in one direction to cases so they can take their treats to the register, that'd be a huge help." Speaking of the register, the unicorn would tap her chin for a moment. "Salty, switch with Beans. I promises that I'll train both of yinz on all the things to do, but right now I need ya doing what your best at. Saltwater did get her Cutie Mark for making taffy after all."

Hearing little Glimmer call her name, Candy would step away from the door for a moment and give her a few more pieces of candy corn before looking to the foal's mother. "If ya need to quiet time with Glimmer, feel free to take her up to my apartment above the store. There's a bed and a couch up there...and a bunch of boxes. Didn't really have time to unpack. I think I spent 16 hours a day in the kitchen since it was ready and just slept up there. If ya are looking for something to do though, I'm sure you can get some of the more...um... deluxe items out of display cases so ponies can take the to the register. In the mean time though I'm sure Caramel would love to keep an eye on little Glimmer."

Heading towards the center of the room, she'd begin to greet each customer that come in the door. "Welcome to the first ever day of the Kandy Kaleidoscope. If yinz need anything or have any questions, just ask." For the most part, the flow of customers was in line with what she had planned for...to an extent. Most of her early customers seemed to be older ponies looking for the old time treats of their foalhood. One surprise though was the amount of teenage colts coming into the shop. She'd look to Windy and blush a bit, as did Salty when they overheard a rather shy colt say something about there being 'eye candy' in the shop as well. What surprised Candy the most though was just how much the colts where spending on the bit candy. A few of the other customers could be overheard upon leaving talking about how good the treats where, but also about Wind Dancer and Sky being in the store, drawing even more to the line from the plaza of Goldie's casino across the street.

  6. Roleplay Type: WoE
    Name:Saltwater Taffy (Salty)
    Gender: Mare
    Age: Young Adult
    Species: Pegasus
    Eye color: Amethyst
Coat: Pale Banana Yellow (Think the inside of the banana)
Mane/Tail: Short, tomboyish mane. Lilac in color with Boysenberry accents. Tail is middle length for a mare with same highlights.
Physique: Tall and somewhat thin for her age.
Residence: Las Pegasus. Upstairs of Kandy Kaleidoscope. Hometown of Baltimare
    Occupation: Candymaker Apprentice
Cutie Mark: Two crossed pieces of taffy.
Unique Traits: Flexible and athletic. Great at making taffy

History: Saltwater is from the inner harbor of Baltimare. Her father passed when she was very young and was raised by her loving mother. As the area around their small home began to be redeveloped into the tourist mecca that it is known for today, Salty's mother ended up selling the family home to a hotel developer once it was clear she could no longer raise a daughter off what her husband had left her. Making a deal, she would work as a housekeeper in one of the hotels as a housekeeper in exchange that both her and Salty could live there.

Growing up in a hotel setting was interesting to say the least. She'd go to school and make a few friends her own age. She was embarrassed to be living in a hotel and hid the fact her mother worked there.

Saltwater Taffy would make friends with many of the staff, especially those from the kitchen. Often when she would go to pick up her own meal, She'd often chat and on less busy days be aloud to try her hoof at making her own dinner while her mother worked. One day while trying a recipe from a book, she accidentally made a blackberry saltwater taffy base, earning her cutie mark.

Since then, Salty enrolled in the Equestrian Apprenticeship Program and was assigned to work for and learn from a recent graduate of the program, Candy Corn, in Las Pegasus.

Character Personality: Saltwater Taffy can best be described as an Extroverted Introvert. It is easy for her to have small talk with just about anycreature, however it can take a long time for her to open up. She is very athletic and enjoys the sports of Equestria both as a participant as well as fan of the major leagues. She enjoys joking with Candy Corn about her being a Bucco fan.

  7. Candy would smile to Golden as she came in. "Your not late, just...in time actually." When Wind Dancer and little Glimmer entered the the back of the shop, Candy squeezing Sky, Windy, and Glimmer in a hug. "I'm so glad you are both here." Releasing them, she'd levitate a few items. "I got something for yinz today." Candy's smile was from ear to ear as she gave Glimmer a few pieces of her namesake treats.

"Ok," Candy said looking to the group. "Eight hours of fun for us three," she'd say with a wink. "I trained you both well on how to run your assigned duties. I did put up a sign that states 'as supplies last'...just in case." Saltwater Taffy nodded as did the unicorn.

Walking back to where her friends where, she'd sigh. "I don't expect yinz to have to help. I'm sure running a candy shop was the last thing on your mind. Help as you see fit. I have some extra vests and armbands if you do want to help with customers though. Perhaps even if you want to play a song for ambiance to keep me calm, that'd work too," as she looked to Sky. "Do you know how to play a piano by any chance? I found it the basement the store before we remodeled and thought it would make a good ambiance piece. I'd say it's as old as this building itself, though it might be a bit out of tune."

She'd give Caramel a nuzzle. "If you get tired, go upstairs and take a nap, OK? I don't need to be braking filly labor laws on my first day open, OK?"

As the clock began to strike eleven, Candy would walk over, unlock the door, and flip the sign from coming soon to open. "Here we go," she'd say putting on a big smile to the guests that would begin to enter the store.

  8. Candy took a few deep breaths trying to calm herself before the chaos that was begin any moment. As she heard the door in the back of the shop open, she quickly turned to face it. Her nerves where getting the better of her "Oh. Hi Sky," she'd say in relief as she tried to look around him before hearing that Windy was coming separately. She'd nod to his comment about sweet teeth, she'd nod. "And some from out of town I'd guess as well. I don't even remember doing any advertising."

The door behind Sky would open as two young ponies would enter as well. One was a pegasus mare, the other a unicorn colt not much old enough to be out of school. Candy would let out a sigh of relief. "Sorry were a bit late Miss Candy," the mare would say. "You wouldn't believe how long that line is. It's almost blocking the intersection down a block." Candy's face would go pail for a moment before hearing a familiar voice next to her. In the excitement she had almost forgotten that her sister, Caramel, had arrived last night for the opening. Candy would look to her sister and nod ever so slightly. "As ready as we're going to be. Everypony, this is my sister, Caramel Corn. She's from Bittsburgh as well."

"Caramel, I made you a special batch of candy just for today, though I do have a special job for you. I want you to keep an eye and ear out for anything that sounds like it might break down, OK? Especially the taffy machine. It's older then grandpop, Ok? If something doesn't seem right, let me know."

Candy's two staff members knew their tasks as they took their positions. "Everypony, be sure to put on your uniform, including the arm band. That means you too Caramel. The outfit mom sent ya."

As everything was setting in motion, Candy would motion for Sky to follow her into the storage room. "This is for you guys," as she pointed a hoof at a full barrel of candy with Wind Dancer, Glimmer, Sky's initials on it. "It comes with lifetime refills, though it might take a day or two to refill it," she giggled and then smiled. "Goldie mentioned Windy's appetite and sweet tooth was legendary. I'd imagine Glimmer inhered it as well?" For the first time her nerves where letting up just thinking of her friend that would soon be her.

  9. Blizzard would continue to savor his meal, listening to Ice Storm. "I bet Princess Twilight would consider a week in a library her vacation," he'd chuckle, taking one last bite of his Lo Mein. "I'll take you up on that offer though I don't want anything too grand. A tour of the city, maybe a few meals....maybe a few social visits. Perhaps take in a show or two. Oh," as his eyes lit up like a filly at Hearthswarming, "Are there any museums? I'm sure that Mythie was it? Might enjoy the magical artifacts if they have any on display."

"I do have something fun....er well something fun to me planned for my next shift off. I don't know if you'd want to join me, buy I've been granted permission to view the Canterlot censuses, going back almost 400 years." Blizzard would finish off his tea next before looking to Ice. "If your still here in a few days, perhaps you'd like to join me. Maybe you have a long lost ancestor from Canterlot. Perhaps I can finally find out who this Snowfall my grandmother always was talking about..." He had to stifle a chuckle as a thought went through his head. "You know, with a book as old and as large as that, I bet a certain Alicorn might decide to join us. Just think, all three of us in a Library again. Good times..."

  10. Candy smiled at Golden's comment. For a mare of her status to complement her newest treat, she knew it would be a hit. Thinking back to her earlier remark of how much candy Windy would go through, she chuckled. She'd motion with her head to a room off to the left. Inside it was barrels full of pre-made candy corn and other hard candies. "Think this should do it," as she pointed a hoof to a mixed barrel with a combined WD painted on it. "I just have the root beer barrels to make and I should be good on stock. They are a favorite of Pop. I hope they sell as well here as the more flamboyant treats such as those bonbons."

"There is one more room down here, though it's a bit of a mess." Candy would lead Goldie to a room to the right. There was a desk with a few boxes and even more mail. Upon a closer look, the box had photos of family and friends she planned to hang in her office. The one photo that was out of the box was a photo taken in Ponyville a few Hearthswarmings ago of Candy, her sisters, Windy and Sky. "I guess getting stocked up took priority over unpacking," she giggled. "I think my upstairs apartment is even less unpacked. Just the bed and some of my personal kitchen things."

"I think I'm going to apply for an apprentice. That's how I got to where I am in my skills today. It's also why I requested the store with two levels above the shop. That is if it's alright with you. I had to live in BonBon's basement for the first few weeks," she chuckled. "It was a nice basement though." Looking to Golden, Candy would sigh. "I just hope the apprenticeship board goes through with my request. I asked for a pony from a less fortunate background. Somepony I can help out and perhaps in the future they'll be in my hooves and pass it on." Candy would grin. "I guess I've been hanging around Windy and you too much."

Giving Golden a hug, she'd lead her back to the front of the store. "I'm thankful to have you as a landlord and friend." Releasing the hug, she'd go back to the pile of mail from earlier. "Looks like the board sent me some prospects for that apprentice. Looks like I got some reading to do. I'll see ya before the grand opening, right?"

    Grand Opening

Candy's heart was beating a mile a minuet as she put on her dress and placed the feather in her mane. Windy was due to be here any moment. She'd need all the help of her friend to get through this day....this hour....this moment in time when she was ready to flip the sign from coming soon to open. Taking a peak out the door their where a few ponies already lining up. "Come on Windy... Celestia give me strength. I just hope she got the letter to come in the receiving door."

  11. Releasing her hug, Candy would also giggle. "Yep, but I have a plan for that. I made her and Sky a special batch of candies and sweets. It will at least hold her off till after the grand opening rush slows down to a normal pace, though I'm sure nothing is normal or predictable in this city."

"So, would you like the grand backstage tour?" she said with a giggle. "See where the magic happens? Oh that reminds me, I have a few test recipes that I just finished. You can be the taste tester before I go to full production...if that's OK? I don't know how much of a sweets mare you are." Motioning to follow, Candy would walk through the saloon like doors into a state of the art kitchen. The walls where white tile with an strip that ran around the room of black and yellow tiles. "So, what do ya think? I made sure they got this done first so I could get a trotting start." looking back to her landlord, she'd grin. "I left the taffy machine in the main shop because that can almost be a show in it self to see running." she said with a wink. "That's why it's behind that counter out there and visible through one of the windows." she giggled.

As she reached one of the stainless steel tables, she'd levitate her newest treat to Golden. "I haven't thought of a name for this yet, but it's a white chocolate bonbon with pieces of candy corn mixed in. You know, I never made a bonbon till I did an apprenticeship in Ponyville."

  12. Candy beamed from ear to ear at Golden's compliments. "I was worried at first, but you put my mind at ease. Not everything is going to be completely old fashioned though," she giggled. "Even though I searched for as much of the old style equipment as possible, I'm glad I have a somewhat modern kitchen just in case...and electric lights." she winked. One thing that Golden said however had her thinking. "If we are going to be as busy as you think, I might need to hire staff. That's one thing I've never done. A lot of my family's recipes are up here," as she pointed a hoof to her head, tapping it twice. "I'm going to be busy making lots of candy before the grand opening on Sunday. Gotta wait till the day of for popcorn though. Gotta have it fresh."

As the mail mare nodded to both Candy and Golden, she would set down three boxes postmarked from Bittsburgh. Signing the delivery slip, She'd levitate the boxes and take them inside and motion for Golden to follow. Setting the box down on one of the newly installed counters, she'd open the letter and read it aloud.

    "Dear Candy,

Pop and I are sure proud of you. Though we can't make it to the grand opening, we've sent the popping corn you've requested. Also, I made you a dress for the occasion, as well as an outfit for Caramel. You sister should be joining you soon.

Best of luck and lots of love, Your mother, Sweet Corn."

Candy would look to Golden and give her a hug. "Did ya hear that? My sisters coming for the opening!"

  13. The

    Kandy Kaleidoscope

Old Fashioned Candy, Sweets, and Popcorn

Candy Corn stood nervously as work was being done all around her. Vintage lights where being installed, counters where being built, display cases assembled, and most importantly, the machinery was being put together. Soon her dream of owning her own little shop would become a reality. Things truly went full circle in Equestria. Who would have thought that Las Pegasus of all places would become the location, and soon to be permanent home of this Bittsburgh filly. She had to take it all in. Breath slowly. It was hard to believe that this old building across the street from Golden Bit's Casino was about to be knocked down, only to be saved to become the Kandy Kaleidoscope....and her own apartment above.

Candy could hear the clatter outside as her sign had arrived and was being installed on the storefront. As she stepped out to watch it be hung with care, she'd see her landlord from across the street. She'd waive a hoof. "Hi Goldie!" as she waited for her to come over. "What do you think? I hope the Old Fashioned thing helps draw in the customers when we open. I know a lot of casinos N'at have a lot of gimmicks, however us Bittsburgers are stuck in the past as it where when it comes to change. It's actually going to kinda look like that old candy store in that amusement park i sometimes talk about to you and Windy."

  14. Candy smiled and hugged Windy's mom when was introduced. "I wouldn't have missed this if I had to walk here." She said with a smile. "You truly can get anything in Las Pegasus, though being friends with the famous bride helps." Looking back to Bit, she'd smile and nod at the words she said about her best friend. "I'm glad both yinz took good care of Windy. Now we gotta make sure that Sky dose as wel-" before she began to chuckle. "He'll take the best care of anypony took of anypony in the history of Equestria."

As Wind and Sky began their dance, Candy would watch beaming from ear to ear. Soon a tear drop would begin to form in her eye. "Snif- I didn't think you could smile and cry at the same time," she whispered just loud enough for Golden and Scarlett to hear.

  15. Blizzard sighed as Ice suggested that he get out more. "I'm perfectly happy in my office or library for now. Besides, the mess hall is certainly an upgrade from what I was used to before." Taking a sip of his tea he'd give a small smile. "Baby steps though. Even as a foal I was quite the introvert...though I did have a jealous streak a mile long. To an extent, I think a may still...,' as he sipped more. "That's how you can tell I was born in Canterlot, between that and the way your elders judged every stage of your life with a disapproving eye. Other then my parents, most of my family didn't really accept me. My one grandmother would make little remarks that I'd hear about 'having too much Snowfall in me...' whatever that meant. Someday I need to finish mom's side of the family tree."

When the talk turned to Las Pegasus, Blizzard was quick to help change the subject as he listened to how that city never seemed to sleep. "If we ever get enough guards, I may just have to take you up on that offer. Besides I would like to continue the conversation I never was able to finish with that blind friend of yours." The unicorn would look up just as the waiter was bringing the four plates of food. "I'd feel guilty leaving the Princess ever more short staffed then she is now."

The gray eyed unicorn would take his plate in his own levitation and set it in front of himself. Taking a few moments to take in the aroma of a restaurant cooked meal. He'd carefully take his first bite to enjoy the flavor before looking over to Ice Storm. "So...how is your meal?"

  16. Blizzard sat there stoic as Ice made her order, though on the inside he was in shock at the large amount of food that she had just ordered. When the waiter turned her attention to him, he'd sigh. "Green Tea with Honey and Lemon please." as he looked back to his menu. "Can we get an order of Egg Rolls as an appetizer. As for the main course...Just the Mushroom Lo Mein please." He'd levitate his menu to her and smile.

Looking to his counterpart, he'd frown as their waiter walked away. "It's hard to believe that its been over ten years since I've been in a restaurant," he'd try to force a fake chuckle to cover his true mood. "I guess when you live off canned good for so long, you never really miss hot meals with verity. On rare occasionally I'd have some yak cuisine to brake up the monotonous meals. To be honest though, I preferred the canned goods."

As the waiter came back with their drinks and egg rolls, he'd levitate only one to himself and offer the remaining ones to Ice. "One side effect of living up there was my apatite seems to have shrunk," he'd say with another forced laugh.

"I'd assume you have the complete opposite problem of me in Las Pegasus. I'd imagine they have every type of restaurant under Celestia's sun..."

  17. Blizzard's stomach rumbled as he followed Ice Storm out of the castle. "I wonder if we'll see anypony of notoriety at the restaurant?" he'd add. "I haven't really got out much since I started my position. I'd normally just eat at my desk. I guess old habits die hard," as he referred to all his time alone in the Frozen North. "I guess it is good to get out every so often. I think my list outing on my own was Hearthswarming in Ponyville believe it or not."

As Ice mentioned the bright, hot sun, Blizzard smirked. He was perfectly comfortable in his robes that made up his uniform. Their enchantments kept him at an ideal temperature no matter what the outside weather was. "Perhaps you should get a set of robes instead of armor," he'd chuckle. "I'm perfectly comfortable in here. I was skeptical at first, but Captain Fire Walker and Princess Twilight had a great idea....though I think I'm still the test." he'd laugh.

With the noodle place in sight, he'd extend his hoof for Ice to enter and order first before giving his order and offering to pay for her meal as well. He would take a table in the corner, keeping his back facing the walls. It was another weird habit he had, and one he almost did not know he was doing, though after sitting down he hoped Ice didn't notice.

  18. Blizzard sighed as he rubbed his temple. "It wasn't always like this. This past year has taken a toll on all of us, Twilight Guard included. Between all the injuries, illnesses,  and a maternity leave... its a wonder that nothing bad has happened. It's amazing how quickly an illness can cut through a roster. I guess the one bright spot is that we are on the recovering side of that staffing nightmare. I guess being anti-social has its advantages when it comes catching illnesses and other things."

He nodded to Ice about moving Ice Storms things. "I believe that letter was sent before our situation got this dire. Just think how many of our ranks have fallen ill for a Lieutenant to be acting captain. I think loosing Applejack was the biggest blow however and I'm glad she's on the mend." Looking back into his small little combination office and living space he would chuckle. "Besides, not a lot of room in there and only the one bed, there would have to be some interesting sleeping positions to make that work..." A pale red blush would show on his face for only a few seconds. "I think this is what she had in mind," as he levitated the door open and turned on the light. "This is where Applejack stays I believe when she is working with us so the letter would have made sense then. This office and bed rivals even that of Captain Walker," he joked. "I can only imagine what your quarters in Las Pegasus are like to compare..."

"As for food, I believe the noodle place is still there....or at least it was last time I was out and about. I could go for some Mushroom Lo Mein myself." Blizzard had to chuckle a bit. "Or is it Cho Mein. I can never seem to get those two straight. Lead the way."

  19. Luna nodded to Ice Storm's comments. "I do believe it is time for me to be going however. I do not wish to upstage the newlyweds. I know that you are more then capable of handling such a mundane task such. Running your casino is more complex then this," she said with a wink. "I shall see you later back at my penthouse," she said with a chuckle knowing what room Ice Storm had put her in at the casino. "Bring cake back with you, and keep it hidden from my sister. That is all we would need is Celestia to begin wedding crashing for free cake."  The alicorn's horn would glow as she quickly teleported.

Candy had been listening to Golden Bits story. "I see," as she followed. "My family is kinda complicated as well," as she took her seat. "I never really knew my new father. I'm lucky that Pop Corn raised me as his own. You see, my mother had a one night stand with a well off chocolatier from Fillydelphia and never saw him again. I knew something was off as a filly seeing as I was the only unicorn on a farm of earth ponies...and the fact that I had a brown hoof that couldn't even grow field corn. My tallent was in the kitchen makin' sweets." Candy would chuckle "I always assumed I got it from my mother, Sweet Corn, but when I got older it made more sense." Candy would take a drink at the table. "You know, it was my quest to try to locate my real father that brought me here...to your casino...and to meet Windy," she'd smile as she pulled out the well worn Las Pegasus coupon book. "You know, Windy's kindness made me forget about finding that playcolt because I found a true friend."

  20. Blizzard nodded to his fellow ice mage. "That's what I was thinking as well. As for guard incompetence...a lot has changed since then, hasn't it," he'd say stroking his goatee. "From what the Captain has told us, STAR is a great asset to Equestria. Most of what goes on in Las Pegasus is well above my pay-grade though. For now I'm just a mere lieutenant serving Princess Twilight. I'll stick to the dusty archives of lost spell books and forgotten artifacts of Canterlot Castle and let you and your team handle the fun..."

"Throne Room duties are at least assigned," he'd say with a sarcastic chuckle. "Captain Fire Walker made sure to post it in advance otherwise there is bickering about favoritism. I'm sure that's something you don't have to deal with." With a quick glow of his horn, Blizzard's quill would begin to fill a parchment. As he dotted the last I and crossed the last T, he'd flip up the hood on his robes. Walking towards his Captain's office, he'd post the assignments on the board. "Well, that is done. I believe the next task is to get get a quick bite to eat and talk about this Arch Mage thing. After that, I believe you are to be set up in the visiting officers quarters across the hall from Captain Walker's office."

  21. Flurry nodded to Apple Bloom's questions about her father. "Yea... Now that I think about it though, both Dad and Mom do enjoy Karaoke Night perhaps a bit too much when they go out." When the princess dress was mentioned, Flurry chuckled and looked away from Zap, blushing a bit. "We normally don't wear clothes that often...normally just our tiara, and sometimes matching shoes and a chest thingy." She'd tap a hoof to her chin. "I think mine is going to be silver...or maybe steel? I only saw it from a distance. Mom thinks I'll loose it because I'm not responsible enough yet."

When Zap asked about the books, Flurry would smile. "I have ones on foreign affairs, borders and border disputes, domestic disputes....come to think about it, most of them have to do with ether manners or disputes. We have lots of those apparently."

A light did go off in the little alicorn's head though as she remembered one of the books. "Oh I know a good one, and one that was written by Princess Luna over a thousand years ago. You just have to learn a bit of old Ponish to understand it but it's fairly easy to learn. 'Projecting Power-The Royal Canterlot Voice.' How's that one sound?"

  22. Candy levitated the filly of her head and over to her grand-mare with a smile. “I’ll see you both at the reception. I’m sure yinz can’t wait for the Mother Son dance.” As she waived to them before turning to Golden. “Reception are the best part of weddings,” she say with a chuckle. “Though most of ours in Bittsburgh are held at fire halls.”

A light would go off in her head as she would walk with Golden towards where Ice Storm was. “So, are you related to the pony whom Fort Bitt was named for that’s now Bittsburgh?”

Luna followed the bridal party, though a few steps behind until she reached Ice. Standing next to her, she tried her best to hide her snicker. “So… how Twilighting do you think Twilight is doing right now? After my piece of cake, I should head to Canterlot before something happens.”

  23. Luna smirked at the newlyweds before carefully  and slowly returning the moon to its proper position. Looking to Ice Storm and seeing her reaction, she couldn’t help but think of what kind of chaos must be going on in Canterlot. In the current moment however she had bigger concerns, like getting a piece of the wedding cake before Celestia might show up, as she chucked under her breath to her own though. Now that the ceremony itself was a part of Las Pegasus history, she’d close her little book. “As is customary, I believe the reception will soon begin.” Looking at the instructions given to her by Ice Storm, “Please make sure to have thy invitations ready to verify admittance.”

The Nightmare Night colored unicorn’s cheers turned into tears of joy as she soon found herself hugging both Scarlet and Golden. “So beautiful,” she sniffed.

Luna would smile at Sky as he finished his vows before turning to Wind Dancer. Before she could nod, the pegasus had begun to recite hers as well. The alicorn would smile to her before looking to give Ice Storm a quick wink signaling what was about to happen, hoping that she had informed Twilight, otherwise that was Ice's problem, not hers. Looking back to Sky and Windy she'd nod. "The rings please." Luna's horn would glow as the moon would now be visible in the sky. "It is with great joy that I may pronounce thee husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

Luna had timed her moon just right so it would pass over the sun just as Sky would begin to kiss his lovely bride.

By now, Candy has crying tears of joy as she levitated little Glimmer Skies onto her the top of her head, as she had done many of times to her own sisters, to get a view of her parents. As she saw the moon become visible in the sky during the day, her jaw dropped in amazement, thought that wouldn't last long as she began to cheer as Sky kissed Windy.
