I don't normally like using black as a base color for any kind of oc, pony or otherwise but you made it look good.

Well after procrastinating i've finally rewritten will, thoughts are appreciated. Roleplay type: Mane RP Name: Will Travel Sex: Male Age: Stallion Species: Unicorn Eye Color: Royal purple Coat Color: Off-white Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Black, both are kept slightly brushed and kept fairly long in length. Physique: Average build, Slighter taller than most ponies. Cutie Mark: http://imgur.com/bbRoJ Origin/Residence: Manehattan, currently traveling to find a new place to live. Occupation: Jewel-crafter (family profession on the mothers side) Motivation: Will wants nothing more then to be surrounded by friends in a place he can call home. Making his friends happy means the world to him and if his words and actions can make them so much as smile, then that's all he needs. Likes: Happy ponies, optimism, Suburbs, Red velvet baked goods, music. Dislikes: Rude arrogant ponies, dark lonely nights, Crowded cities. Character Summary: Will Travel was an only foal, born and raised in Manehatten. His mother was a simple jeweler: her humble skills made her well known in town. Will's father was an archaeologist and spent many months away from home as a result. During the summers, he would take Will to the digs, the little unicorn bouncing happily alongside his father while the older pony would regale him with tales of ancient civilizations. It wasn't so much the history that made Will happy; just being around his father was all he needed. Roland and Serenity did their best to raise Will as a good and proper stallion, though they were sometimes overbearing upon the colt. Will didn't mind however, and he did his best to make his family happy; their smiles alone could make him bounce with joy around the house. Summer vacation was quickly approaching, and the more he looked the more Will noticed that he was the last pony in his class to be a "blank flank." Much to the dismay of the colt, everyone made fun of him for it. The unicorn came home sad one day and asked one of the most painful things a child could ask their parent. "Mommy, why am I not special like everypony else?" Anypony who listened carefully enough could swear that Serenity's heart cracked at the words. The unicorn hugged her son tightly and silently, unsure how to respond to such a thing. Gloomily, Will came home from a dig with his father one day to a sea of ponies in their living room. "Mommy what's everypony doing here?" He asked curiously, apparently some of the colts who'd been making fun of him came as well. "Well will, all these ponies wanted to thank you for being there for them. You've helped them all out in some way or another!" whispered Serenity into her sons ear. One after one each pony told Will of the kind things he'd done for them: listening to their troubles, being a shoulder to cry on when they’d had a bad day, or helping them with chores they couldn't finish themselves. Will found himself crying, but he was smiling wider then ever before. He felt appreciated and the feeling got stronger when he realized that he'd helped so many ponies. Happiness swelled up inside the colt and soon he was bounding across the room with excitement. During the elation Will felt a twinge on his flank and stopped moving long enough to see three horse shoes appear on his side, only to start bounding around the room once more when he realized his cutie mark had appeared. One of the horse shoes was purple just like Will’s eyes, forever a reminder that he was special and that he had the unique gift of showing others they are, too. For years after, Will worked alongside his mother as a jewel-crafter. While not his special gift, he caught on to the tricks of the trade quickly. He was happy... or so he thought. One afternoon the unicorn found himself pony-watching in town. Many happy colts and fillies played in the grass there, much to Will's amusement. The longer he watched however, the more he noticed just how many stuck up snobs lived in the town and how cramped and compact everything was. The feelings had always been there but it was never this prominent before, and right then and there he realized, "this town is suffocating me." The words danced on his tongue like the light at the end of a tunnel. Places like this made him feel uncomfortable and it didn't feel like home at all. Serenity always knew the day would come when her son would leave home. Like any mother, her eyes were full of tears when she saw the determination in his eyes. "Just like your father," she choked through the tears and sadness. She didn't stop him; instead she gave him her old, well-used jewelers cart and tools. "Exploring won't put bits on the table dear; your father never learned that." The pair nuzzled close outside the steps of his childhood home. "Take care mother; I'll make sure to write when I have the time." And with that their short, tearful goodbye was over. Will wasn't sure were he was going exactly. One thing rang through his mind as he tried hard not to break down when he reached the city limits. "This place isn't home...." For months, the unicorn wandered from town to town, making jewelery and saving his bits. Will had a mental plan for finding his home. He would spend a week or two in a town, and if he felt great there he'd stay. If not, he'd pack up and leave. Will hopes above all else that his weary journey will soon be over and he'll be home. Additional notes: -Will’s favorite pastimes involve singing, swimming, and baking. -Will wears his heart on his hooves: he’s quick to trust and do his all for any pony unless proven wrong. -Will's talent may involve being special and making others remember they are special as well, but sometimes will suffers from exactly what he can cure. Sometimes he needs a reminder that he's doing the right thing. -When nervous Will starts to trot in place. -Will’s magic is minimal at best: he can use telekinesis (like any unicorn) But also gem finding and gem cutting spells (these were learned from years of practice with his mother.) http://www.canterlot.com/gallery/member/1208-willtravel/

i thought about that after quicklime asked about her and berry and i decided to just toss it under Oc ponies. i'm gonna give it till my vacation coming the 23rd and i might re arrange slots if it comes to it. Also i will keep checking this thread every other day or so to keep on top of things.
