  1. Blue Bolt watched the little Dragon wander off into the water. "I use my wings instead of a surfboard, dey get a good workout dat way, mon." She replied to Crystal. "Hooves on de water, wings to stay on top of it, and de rest is following de waves. Tis like de whole ocean is a surfboard dat way." She glanced at Flairworks when the other pegasus mentioned a trick, then looked out to the water to see the wave little dragon had made. "Whoa! Dat's amazing, mon!" she exclaimed with a huge grin, jumping up a bit before taking to the air, flying out to meet the wave. She touched her hooves to the waters surface and flapped her wings to keep above it, letting the waves crest guide her where to go, as if on a real surfboard. Leaning this way or that to keep her balance. “Woohoo!!”
  2. Blue Bolt stared at the fin of Crystal glow, having never seen a pony with a fin before. "Um.. I was born and raised here on de islands, mon. Dey is home for me but I travel wherever de storms go... You must really love to swim, mon, to grow a fin like dat!" she said, trotting over to Crystal Glow to inspect the fin. "Is it magic? Some kind of spell?" she asked, curious.
  3. Blue Bolt waved a hoof at the orange mare on the shore with a grin before glancing at Crystal again. "Ah, where be my manners, mon. I'm Blue Bolt, tis nice ta meet ya." Blue Bolt replied, beginning to swim to shore. "An I like surfin', tis fun and good exercise for when tings get a bit rough up dere during storms, mon." she replied, motioning up to the sky with her nose a bit. As she made it to shore and climbed out of the water she shook herself off a bit, concentrating more on shaking the extra water from her feathers. "Hey dere, mon!" she addressed the orange mare. "Every ting’s alright, just a bit of a mid-wave collision, mon. No harm done."
  4. Blue Bolt never would have expected something to come up out of the water like that. The surprise had tripped her up and landed her in the water. When she surface and shook her head, she noticed somepony apologizing. She laughed a bit though. "No worries, Mon, It's all chill.” She said, shaking her mane out a bit. “Are ya alright, mon? Din’ get hurt, did ya?” she asked – ah well, so her surfing would have to wait, the water was nice at least. “No injuries I hope?”

  8. Early Morning on Gallopocus Island, A time before the beaches were overly crowded and the surfers were few. Morning had begun and as far as Blue Bolt could tell, today was going to be just another day on the island. She took a deep breath as she stood on one of the beaches – a Storm was supposed to reach the island in a few days time and she’d arrived early to hang out and take in the familiar sights and activities of her island home. One of her favorites, of course, was ‘surfing’; that is, riding the air currents above the water with the waves. She spotted a larger wave gathering not far from shore, perfect for surfing, and spread her wings, taking flight to go greet the wave with a grin. “All right den, wave. Do your worst, mon!" she challenged it, turning quickly back towards shore as the current created by the wave pushed at her wings and she fought it to stay on top of the water. Her style of surfing might not be typical, but it was good pratice and fun all in one!

  10. I first got into RPing when I was about 7-8, when I frequented a Anime/Sailor Moon chatroom. Only stuck with the chatroom for a year or so, but I've been RPing ever since every chance I get. The Lure of a new Story with New Characters, I just can't resist. X3

  17. I dunno if the shirt's a freebe for winning, but I know in the past tons of people got print-your-own certificates and self-publishing coupons from different companies for a 'print on demand' type deal. Personally I've never won but that's usually what the forums are buzzing with once NaNo's done with.
  18. Can't wait to start RPing!

Edit 3: Fixed some stuff, Hope it's not too long now though. o.o; If someone spots something that should be fixed, please let me know! Name: Blue Bolt Sex: Femal Age: Mare (19) Species: Pegasus Pelt Color: Dark Blue ( #262281 ) Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: Long, Fluffy/windswept Dark Blue ( #22216d )/Grey ( #848484 ) striped Eye Color: Light/Cool Grey ( #7d908c ) Cutie Mark: Light Blue ( #07a2f4 ) Lightning Bolt on a Dark Grey ( #3c5670 ) Cloud Physique: Slightly Slender, Average height. Strong Wing Muscles for flying in rough winds and storms Origin: Gallopocus Island Roleplay Type: Mane Occupation: Weather Control – Lightning Specialist Motivation: To Create the Most Dazzling ‘Blue Jets’ – which happens when lightning strikes up above the clouds instead of down to earth, fracturing and separating in the process to create a more cone, carrot or tree shape instead of a more familiar bolt. Likes: Thunderstorms, Lightning, Rainy days and nights, racing, ‘surfing’, star gazing, mangos, speeding through the air (got to be fast to work with lightning.) Dislikes: Dry Spells, Liars, Being Grounded and Being Slowed Down Character Summary: Born and raised on Gallopocus Island, Blue Bolt loved to play on top of storm clouds that came over her island home when her parents went to work as weather control ponies for the island. Being of the adventurous and boisterous spirit, the little filly never feared the lightning or thunder, or the gusts of wind that even the adult weather-ponies had to deal with before getting above the cloud levels. She loved it all because it meant she could play with the clouds like she’d seen her parents do a thousand times over for their jobs. Though her parents usually restricted her to one area of the cloud tops where she’d be ‘safe’ from the gales of wind that might knock her into the ocean below, or the lightning that might fry her feathers or worse. One day, she was jumping around on the storm clouds, imagining how awesome it would be to actually be able to control the weather like her Mom and Dad. She jumped on the cloud tops, pretending to make it rain harder; she kicked at the grey fluff, pretending the result was possibly the loudest thunderclap ever in all the land, then she reared up on her hind legs, eyeing the cloud fluff in front of her between her front hooves with determination, and slammed down on the fluff with all her filly might. Her pretend play was that she’d make a lightning bolt jump down to the dark wind-tossed waves below like her Father did, but instead of it just being pretend and harmless; she heard the puff of cloud being struck, saw the flash of light fron the cloud under her hooves, which closely followed by the electric sizzle of something about to go wrong – a second later a lightning bolt misfired near by, and split up into the air creating a brilliant sight. White-hot closest to the cloud, and fading to blue the higher it went as it crackled and split into a bright haze of sparks. Like all other lightning, it didn’t last very long, but the other Weather-ponies of Gallopocus Island had been startled. They’d never seen lightning jump up before; cloud to cloud sure, cloud to ground almost always, but up? The shocked expressions on their faces could hardly match the fear the filly’s parents had when they saw the blue flash by their precious little girl. The misfired lightning bolt sparked something inside her as well – inspiration. She heard the wing beats of her parents as they raced over to her to make sure she wasn’t hurt, and when she turned to look at them over her shoulder, she saw the edge of her cutie mark between the rise and fall of her wings, a little grey cloud with a bright blue bolt on it. With such an image of electric beauty as the Blue Jet she had created burned into her mind, Blue Bolt decided she wanted to work with lightning sent out by other Weather Ponies. From the time of that first blue jet, Blue Bolt trained herself for the weather control job she wanted, flying laps around the island after school quick as she could to build up her wing muscles and speed, studying great competitive ponies like the Wonderbolts and Shadowbolts for agility and reading everything she could get her hooves on about weather controlling and how the great Masters of the field kept tiny storms from growing into huge ones, or kept the huge ones on time and task for the safety of all others once they left the weather factories. Even if she’s grown up now, every chance she gets she still jumps around on the storm clouds, releasing some of the lightning up into the air as Blue Jets, in awe of them as much as she was the first one she’d seen as a filly. Though Gallopocus Island is her home, she tends to travel wherever the storm winds take her or wherever she’s needed to deal with out-of-control lightning, lured by the adventure of traveling to new parts of Equestria and seeing new things. When she does travel, she tends to rest on local clouds or find a nice grassy spot on the ground.
