Rappatat perked up and shook her head, slightly embarrassed about getting caught. She tapped her front hooves together to form a message, ["Sorry, I got up extra early today. Not trying to be rude, you all have good stories. Just tired"]. She took a quick look around the table, then continued, ["I'd tell stories, but I'd be tapping all night"]. Rappatat gave a silent laugh at the end of her message. She stretched her forelegs out in front of herself and cracked her wrists, emphasizing that her stories really would take a lot to tell. She sat for a moment, then got a curious look on her face. Rappatat began another message, ["Do you have plans after dinner?"].

TWILIGHT used FLAMETHROWER! It's super-effective!

Here it is: Ask Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Back on topic, I feel I have to mention "enemy romance" type shipping. Could somepony please explain why Twilight and Trixie would be all over each other? '-';

I'm mostly indifferent to it, but I will say the following: 1. That "Ask Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie" tumblr is adorable. 2. Crack pairings are hilarious, until taken seriously. At that point, they are a source of facepalm.

Okay so the answer is..... anything, going by the answers here. xD; How about this, then- What would you use as an introductory clip when trying to get someone to watch any of the show? I probably won't need one to get my friend to watch the show, but I don't know if I'll be able to get him separate from his roommate, so I'd like to have a little more.. "ammo" to help get the show going.

Just a place to dump random little thoughts you had about the MLP universe and/or fandom. Who knows, maybe you could spark an idea for someone's OC. -Do acrobatic ponies call it Parkhourse? -Angels get wings. When a good unicorn dies, does it become an alicorn? -If Fluttershy falls in the woods and nopony's around to hear it, does she still make a noise? (okay, that was bad)

So, I'm thinking of showing MLP to my friend the next time I see him, but I'm not sure which episodes should be first on the lineup. Which episodes do you guys think are the best to get someone interested in the show? Talking him into watching an ep probably won't be so bad, since he's fairly open-minded. So far, I'm thinking of starting with Lesson Zero, as I'm sure he'd like the episode's craziness, and then I'll probably go to the first episode.

Rappatat's head moved back a little in surprise when Krashkop mentioned how far he was thrown. She took a brief look around the table at the other guests' reactions, then turned toward Colton as he spoke. She smiled and turned toward Candy to hear her story, but soon had to turn away for a little yawn. She tended to spend late nights up at the lighthouse back home, and leaving early for Ponyville meant she didn't get to sleep in like usual. She seemed fine most of the day, but was definitely starting to feel it now. Rappatat gave her head a quick shake to wake herself up.

Rappatat stared in awe upon hearing the professor's story. She took a couple seconds to compose herself, then tapped out ["A whole canyon?"]. Her hooves remained silent a moment longer, then tapped out the code for an exclamation point as if the look on her face didn't already show her surprise. She resumed again, ["How did you survive that?"]. She sat quietly, and her face took on a more concerned look as she noticed the professor's demeanor after he finished his story. She felt a little guilty about her question now.

Rappatat breathed a sigh of relief and motioned her hoof as if she were wiping her forehead. She took the note back from Candy for a moment and added more to it. ["Oh, he was fine after we got fixed up. The date he wanted was a waaaaay different story, of course. We're still friends though."] She turned her attention toward the Professor now, listening to his story. Rappatat snickered silently at his slip-up, then started tapping out a message after Colton finished speaking. ["Wow, what was the breakthrough?"]

Rappatat nodded at Colton, giving an amused grin toward the waving sparrow. She paused, suddenly alarmed, and looked toward Candy. She tapped to her in code, ["Did any poison joke get on you?"], remembering an earlier encounter with the stuff. Rappatat reached out to tap again, but then stopped. She switched to her notepad, since this would be a little long. The mute pony wrote out a note, then cautiously passed it towards Candy, seemingly afraid of touching her. ["Please tell me there's no poison joke here. Back home, one of the pegasi got me some of it one day since he had a crush on me, and he just thought it was a pretty flower. It took a whole week for us to find somepony that could help get us back to normal. Trust me, having mushy hooves isn't good for tapping horse code or going down lighthouse stairs."]

Saw the same comment, got the same result too.

Updated! I decided to go with the false horn route, since I can have a little fun with her removing it at key times.

Keep in mind that she didn't break the whole thing off. I was envisioning something more like just the last quarter of it being snapped. But if that's still a bit much, I suppose she could wear a false horn over the damaged bit. I was actually tossing around that idea when I was brainstorming this char.

UPDATE. Twilight Sparkle has been knighted. The spearhead is supposed to resemble the main part of her cutie mark.

The mute mare smiled and nodded at Candy, then tapped out a quick "thanks" for speaking for her. Communicating among a large group was always sort of taxing on her, so she appreciated the assistance. Rappatat listened to Colton, and tilted her head a little at his apparent slip up. She was perplexed by a sudden chirping noise, but a smirk soon crossed Rappatat's face when she saw the pegasus' pet. She gave a silent giggle at the annoyed bird, then gave it a friendly little wave with her hoof.

Did a little more tweaking, marked as final.

Rappatat looked shocked by Candy's story. She looked away for a moment, sorry to have brought up the subject, and tapped her hoof on the table ["Are you okay now?"]. Her ears perked up as somepony new entered the inn. She turned her head, giving a smile and a friendly wave to the newcomer, but quickly withdrew her hoof as soon as she heard the professor offer seconds on the sauerkraut. Once the "danger" passed, Rappatat leaned toward Colton, extending her hoof to shake.

I'm still kinda stumped on the cutie mark story. Is it actually required in the application, or just a suggestion to help fill out the summary portion? On a side note, what's the general consensus on unicorns breaking horns- Decreased powers or total loss of powers? How long does it take them to grow back, assuming they do?

Rappatat retrieved her notepad from underneath her chair. She flipped to one of her pre-written messages, then tore out the page and gave it to Krashkop. "I work at the lighthouse in Fillydelphia. I mainly just keep the light going, but sometimes I have to help with search and rescue teams. I send signals with the light to help alert them to danger and coordinate them when they arrive." Rappatat turned her attention back to Candy, then began tapping out horse code. ["Im visiting places I heard my pegasus friends talk about. Maybe we could go sightseeing?"] She paused for a moment, then began tapping again, looking concerned [ "What happened with the capture?" ].
