I don't know about that... I haven't had an iOS product for a while so the app would probably at first be for Android. Porting would be a whole different ball game.

I know, hadn't planned to do anything until I got proper clearance. Would suck if I created the app then I wasn't allowed to distribute it or something like that.

What exactly would the app do?

If you're thinking of a simple tapatalk-like interface we'd need exactly $3,499.

Otherwise I'd need someone with a lot of experience with IP.Board and Java coding via Eclipse IDE to manually build an app.

That price almost made me...well nevermind that. So, no one here is familiar with Java.

Oh, but you said Java via Eclipse IDE, so I may be able to do something. I've been around the block, but only when it comes to maybe entry level things. I can try and do something, if that's okay with everypony else.

They are really almost identical twins. Just keep in mind that Chip (the colt) is kind of a goof-ball while River (the filly with the scar over her right eye) is kind of stern and serious.

Maybe have Chip play in the mud or something, and her watching over him while he does.

Well, you're right about that, if you can tweak it for Folarin to play arcade games like this. Then he would be safe for the Mane RP. But hey, your call.

EDIT* Perhaps maybe even old-school game systems are fine, like Atari 2600 old-school. As long as the game systems don't get too modern, like Xbox-360 modern.

The Atari would do, it is pretty much an arcade game just as a console. I'm not sure how strict they are going to be about it, so I'll have to think it over.

You think so? I thought the presence of video games would be a bit much for Mane RP. I guess if its only video games that have been shown in the actual show it would be okay. I just thought it might come up as a problem so I threw him in crossovers for safety.

Welcome to Canterlot! Glad to have another Twilight lover on board! Enjoy your stay.

The problem is that Metro is very tablet oriented and not good for the average desktop user.

Its something made for a touchscreen and not really a keyboard or mouse.

For mobile devices I can see it for sure but traditional non touchscreen desktops or laptops is another story.

The problem is Microsoft doesnt see it like that, force every device to use the same UI.

Now this is not a new idea as Ubuntu Linux has been doing the same basic thing with its new interface called unity, but where I think Unity succeeds where Metro fails is that it still has the desktop user in mind.

After all compare this:

Windows 8 with its new metro interface:

Ubuntu Unity as it in in Ubuntu 12.04:

Both are considered next generation interfaces, but one clearly has desktops in mind and not just a bunch of random squares.

Metro seems like it was designed by a four year old, with big pretty icons.

Unity feels more like a Mac crossed with windows 7 and that is more or less its aim, to be sort of the middle.

Microsoft has no idea what this will do to older users of windows, it will once again drive a rift and perhaps drive more people to buy a Mac or use Linux.

I dunno. It looks really pretty to me. I know there are some people out there that need functionality over a nice UI, so the Metro UI is probably a big turn off for them. They can always go back to their old comp's. I for one am going to see how it is soon. It may only be good for average consumer type things, but I still want it. I still have a desktop running Vista Home to run all my heavy duty programs and such.

Its unfortunate, but Microsoft has always put the average consumer first. And apparently...this is what they want now a days.
