  1. The plushie that I won back at BronyCon! I love it! Sorry for the bad quality. My camera stinks, xD
  2. My Fluttershy plushie from PonyPlushies just arrived in the mail today! Can't wait to un-box it! Will post pictures once I get camera working...
  3. Thank my abnormally-large movie buff brain. Only a nerd like me would be able to connect a score from a cartoon about neon-colored ponies to the score to a movie about a psychotic killer that goes around slaughtering babysitters...
  4. Or you could go the Powerpuff Girls Movie route and hike the animation quality to newer heights. The animation in PPG Movie was UNBELIEVABLE, and looked nothing like the show's. Everything was glossier, sleek and stylish compared to the rather blunt art style it used for the show. Show: Movie: I honestly wouldn't mind if they did the same sort of upgrade for a movie...if they were to do one, of course.
  5. http://www.meetup.com/Bronies-NYC/events/75438742/ Here it is, the August edition of the NYC Bronies meetup! It's $15 at the door, and it already looks like 70-80 people are already coming to the meetup. Why am I putting so much emphasis on this? Because I'm going to be going to this meetup! Not only will I be at this meetup, but also three of my very good friends in town, who form our "Bronies of Pequannock" pack. Some of you may have already met Hayden (ChillzMaster) at BronyCon, and another one of our local Bronies attended BronyCon. However, it's Hayden's brother's first meetup with Bronies. What I can basically ask for, is that anypony close by to try and attend! All the information is listed on the link above, and hopefully I'll see some of you guys there! Either way...go right ahead and discuss!
  6. A bit off-topic, bud. But to be technical, we've already been told that Season 4 is certain judging by Will Anderson's hinting.
  7. There is so much win in this post that I exploded twice.
  8. Okay, I just noticed this last night, and I almost DIED from the sheer genius of this bit. In "Stare Master", the scene where Fluttershy wakes up to find the Cutie Mark Crusaders gone has specific music to accompany it. If you listen VERY CAREFULLY, the notes played in the moment when Fluttershy wakes up and then finds that the girls are gone is EXACTLY like the theme to "Halloween", the slow theme at least, in scenes wherever it becomes quiet or something is discovered to imply suspense. What's even more frightening about this similarity is that Fluttershy is not only babysitting, but the score music that was used in Halloween was typically used when the kids went missing in one scene...which is EXACTLY what happens in that scene! This COULD NOT be coincidental. I am fully-convinced that Will Anderson wrote that small piece of score in homage to Halloween. Just because of this touch, I love 'em even more, xD
  9. My Mom would probably have 3 problems with this: 1. I'm ordering A CAN OF SODA ONLINE 2. It's pony-themed SODA 3. It's an energy drink, which my Mom absolutely despises and makes it clear she never wants me to drink Still, I'd be mighty interested to hear how it tastes. I certainly never would've expected the show to get an energy drink...xD
  10. I actually thought of Bleach at first, and realized that he is a great voice actor. I truly wouldn't mind if Johnny voiced a character on the show. Would be a cool bit of nostalgia,
  11. That's what I'm doing...saving bits, that is. I just recently got my pay for July, but I still dented my funds pretty good by delving into Hot Topic a while back and getting $50-worth of stuff. Just going to wait it out now, pop a few purchases here and there, and then fill up a whole list of stuff for Christmas that my Mom can spend a fortune on, xD
  12. Aww, don't feel down like that. I thought the same thing about BronyCon. I thought I would never be able to go until I got my own license and was out on my own to go there...but look at what happened, I went to BronyCon and had the time of my life, and now I'm going to my second Pony-related gathering in three months. We all hit our strides of luck. They always happen eventually,
  13. It was right around August 2nd of last year was when I realized I was spending an UNCANNY amount of time watching the show. I initially watched "Suited for Success" in late July, and I soon realized I was watching the show constantly on reruns on The Hub. At first, I tried to stop watching because I had NO intention to become a Brony....but then I saw how incredible the fandom was. Then my friend and fellow-Brony Travis showed me Equestria Daily, and after I delved through the treasures there, I knew I was hooked. So, I've basically been a Brony for over a year. I stayed a closet Brony until about February of this year, when my Mom discovered I was buying pony episodes on iTunes. By March, everyone close to me knew about it. And personally, I wouldn't love it any other way. I've made best friends, I've met excellent people, I've had the best time of my life (BronyCon)....I wouldn't have my life any other way than being a Brony and loving and tolerating with all you great people...
  14. Same. Went with Hayden and another one of our local Brony friends. They seemed like they had no idea what we were talking about... BUT, we ended up nabbing an AWESOME new coloring book with ALL G4 ponies for a dollar there, and we picked up a few Cloudsdale sets and an Apple Family set of Blind Bags at Target nearby. Also got some packs of cards. Was quite a good haul for the day. And I discovered I'm going to the NYC Brony meetup this Saturday. YAY!
  15. As I've said before: But anyways, was great that you got to meet Madeline! She truly is talented if I can judge anything from her voice work on the show.
  16. - When the highlight of your trip to the Sussex County Fair is meeting 2 Bronies by chance there (Happened to me today, actually! 4 Brohoofs in a day!) - You have over 10-20 pony songs on your iPod (Guilty) - You spend time in school remixing your favorite Brony-made song (Guilty) - You think about fanfiction ideas during school and work (...Guilty) - You make your girlfriend into a Pegasister (Guilty) - You search every single store you go into for pony-related stuff (NO G1-3.5!) - You scold your Mom for pointing out a G2 pony and expecting you to be happy (Happened today) - You head to Wal-Mart for the sole intention of buying pony - You walk into Hot-Topic, grab pony stuff you can afford, and slam it onto a checkout desk with all the gusto you can (Guilty on two occasions) - You buy an FiM-themed belt (Let's assume I'm guilty of everything, okay?) - You update everything pony-related with your girlfriend - You make your desktop background full of pony - You get Tara Strong to consider your cousin not Twilightlicious (Yes, this happened. THANK YOU TARA STRONG!) - You annoy the buck out of your cousin when you talk about the show - You explain the show and why you love it to every member of your family - You get half of your school into the show (SOON....) - Every time you see a movie, you think of a million ways to Ponify it (Has only been happening recently) - You dream about ponies (...Not too frequent on this) - Every time you hear "rainbow" or "apple", you need to say "Dash" or "-jack" to make yourself feel at ease - You swear-off Springer and Stern forever - You apply the shows' morals to real life (I've done this, and this truly has made my life better) - You constantly sing "Smile, Smile, Smile" to yourself (GUILTY) - You constantly think of yourself as a Mane 6 character
  17. It wasn't until I watched a video collection of parodies from FiM when I realized the line "As Celestia as my witness-" was an obvious parody of the famous line from "Gone with the Wind". It hurts even more considering I'm a huge movie buff and have seen Gone with the Wind about a million times.
  18. You. You are my new best friend for being a Back to the Future fan.
  19. I believe they are Wal-Mart exclusive. Speaking of which, me and my best Brony buds of Pequannock are heading to Wal-Mart tomorrow to trek for these posters. Will we succeed? FIND OUT SAME THOTH TIME SAME THOTH CHANNEL (Or thread, rather...)
  20. Christopher Lloyd as Doctor Hooves (Canon name, xD) You cannot convince me that this wouldn't be awesome...and considering Lloyd seems to be getting involved with a lot of voice acting jobs now, I wouldn't consider this out of the realm of possibility.
  21. That "hole" effect is commonly called an "iris-in", which is commonly used to conclude a feature, whether it be an episode of a cartoon or even a film. The last cartoon to use it commonly was "Ed, Edd, n Eddy", and in that they would frequently make reference to acknowledgment to the iris-in effect ("An iris-in would appropriate, wouldn't you think?" spoken just before said effect ended the episode called "Here's Mud in Your Ed"). Speaking in terms of whether it acts as a fourth wall joke, I would have to said this particular one makes it clear that Pinkie Pie can bend logic. While it is true she broke the rule of the show being a cartoon only and physically "bent" the ending effect, if you would, that would count as breaking the fourth wall as it acknowledges that its a cartoon and not its own universe. I'm surprised I overlooked it, because I have a shirt that has that specific frame of Over a Barrel with Pinkie Pie on it...
  22. ^Ehhhh....no thanks. They look too cheap and ugly for me to partake in. Besides, I'm getting my Fluttershy plushie I won at BronyCon sometime around this week more likely than not. I want those new posters SO BADLY! I don't care if it's Wal-Mart, I NEED those posters! Can you just up and buy them, or do you have to make a purchase of other MLP-related stuff to receive them for free?
  23. Was just watching "Putting Your Hoof Down" this morning and remembered that fourth wall gag. That was quite akin to Animaniacs-like fourth wall jokes, so I enjoyed that! But besides that joke, we've never seen the characters acknowledge the audience, pretty much what qualifies as a fourth wall-breaking joke. Pinkie Pie seems to break world-logic in the show, rather than "breaking the fourth wall". Either way, she's still the most entertaining of the cast. That's why Pinkie Pie is Best Pony!
  24. To be fair, Pinkie Pie has never by definition "broke the fourth wall". That'd imply that she made a direct reference that the characters know they're in a show, which is what breaking the fourth wall really is about. A cartoon that constantly broke the fourth wall and was excellent at it was Ed, Edd, n Eddy. There'd be lines like "Who writes this guy's stuff?" and even an occasional "What, and ruin the plot?". They've even made direct references to past experiences as "episodes". It was genuinely-written and well-done in execution. I'd prefer Pinkie to make a passing comment in one episode, perhaps saying something like "Well, it said we had to ____ in the script!". The perfect subtle amount of fourth wall-breaking in that kind of execution.
