Well, were should I get started? I think I'll just start with the first instrument I learned playing. When I was five years old, I started learning to play the violin. After four years, my violin teacher moved away, so I "only" played the violin in the school orchestras and later in the university's one. Though it's the first instrument I learned, I don't think it's the one I can play best. With eight years I started playing the piano, three years I added the organ to my list. I'm still getting lessons for both instruments, and I think I can play them quite well. (Not perfect yet, but I'm still young enough to learn.) Three years ago I got an accordion as a birthday gift from my parents. I didn't play it very often, so... I know what button I have to push to get the chord I want, that's all. Last March I bought an ukulele and started learning the chords. I haven't taken any lessons, but it's not too hard to learn anyway. One month later I started learning to play the guitar; once more I mainly learned chords. (It's a lot harder than ukulele^^) Other instruments I have played melodies on are recorder and ocarina.

"Life's too valuable to be given away before it's time.“ Hello everypony, thanks to a friend of mine who helped me trnslating, I finally am able to post the prologue of my fanfic in an English forum. (If there are any grammatical errors left, it's his fault^^) Well, without any further ado, I will get started. As I don't want to put any spoilers into the description, I will post a picture of the main character of "Deal With It" that shows him a few days before the fanfic starts. This pegasus' name is Airy Movement, and he is said to be one of the best fliers ever to have come out of Cloudsdale, not unlike Rainbow Dash. He even shares her love of racing. One day a pegasus called Silent Wind challenges him to a race. This story starts shortly after this race. The story can be found here, this link will be updated every time a new chapter is translated or written.

No, you don't need to. I will translate it and add several comments if I'm not sure with one part or if there is something that can't be translated due to the meaning of a word. (One example would be "catch up" and "Ketchup", this can't be translated accurately.) By the way, the prologue has already been proofread; maybe I should publish it here^^

Good evening everypony, how do I start this thread? This is a question I'm often facing, so... Don't expect too much according this. Back to topic. A while ago, I started playing the songs from MLP:FIM on my piano. (Notesheets are available, maybe I will even uplaod them.) I especially liked Fluttershy's Lullaby from Episode 17 (Stare Master), although the song isn't sung completely in that episode. My solution: Take Sweetie Belle's melody and edit it a bit, so it fits into Fluttershy's style of singing. And that is the result: I am nearly done with Pinkie Pie's lullaby, which will be based on "Giggle At The Ghosty" from Episode 2. As soon as I'm done, I will upload it as well, if you're interested.^^

Sorry to interrupt, but I simply could not ignore that someone else in this forum is from Germany as well^^ (Yes, I am, too.) Normally, I would say something in German, but as this is an English-speaking community, I will keep it to personal messages.

Thank you very much. I do know someone who's a native speaker of both German and English, but... my grammar in both languages seems to be much better than his^^ As soon as I have finished translating the first chapter, I will contact you. (I won't just translate it, but I will add comments at several points, like phrases that are used often in German language.)

About myself.: Well, I'm Naturematthe, a 17 year-old male who likes MLP:FIM. (Okay, the latter is not too much of a surprise^^) Besides MLP, I'm also a huge fan of Pokémon and Star Trek. Additionally I'm also very interested in music, which includes listening to it as well as composing my own one. (Even MLP's songs are part of my piano repertoire now^^) I'm sitting here in Europe. How did you hear about Canterlot.com?: I used Google for finding a pony RPG forum, and this forum was on page 2. How did you became a fan of FiM?: I became a fan of FiM thanks to my little sister. She had found put about the series because a (male) friend of her told her to watch it. Because she oftens shares such things with me, we watched a few episodes together, and I liked it.
