  1. Mistaragi sat up suddenly, awakened by a neighing. He looked around, unsure of what happened. Wiping his eyes of sleep, and fixing his hair, he began to get off the sofa, and found himself face-to-face with the unicorn he had brought here. He paused with a shocked look on his face, unsure of what to do in the situation. "...hello."
  2. LOL.. I agree, people always misinterpret what "theocracy" means. Beside we all know their god is called Fyre-Flye Actually, according to dictionary.com, a theocracy is indeed a system of government where a deity is the recognized leader over all. However, considering the circumstances around that, it's much more common to think of a theocracy as a system of government led by a religious institution. Either way, I don't think that applies to Celestia's rule. I think the easiest thing to do is to compare it to the medieval England monarchy, since most creators of fantasy settings use that idea for the government.
  3. Wait. Welcome to the forums, Thunderhoof. Hope you enjoy your time here. Man, I should chosen my username to be Thunder Vision. Then we could have the "Thunder Trio". Yes, that is totally me. Also, what about Thunder Brawler? The reason I say Thunder Vision is because I actually received that name from a MLP (an MLP?) name generator. However, "Teh_Brawler" (or Teh Brawler as the case may be) is really my internet persona.

  6. It was a bright, Spring day at the Canterlot School of Law. Ponies of all types were enjoying the weather, and delving into the classes that taught them the fundamentals of law. The large campus itself was bedazzling in the warm sunlight, with it's multiple colors of flowers, clean windows, and bright brick. In short, this place was the finest law school in all of Equestria. In one of the upper floors of the school, a class on court cases was about to begin. Ponies were filing in at a slow rate, and filling the seats that faced a large stage. However, the stage was outfitted slightly different today; instead of just a teacher's desk, the stage had two podium-like counters on the left and right sides. The teacher's desk itself was elevated, and a small hammer sat on it. In short, the stage looked like a courtroom. Mitsaragi, a pink unicorn colt, sat near the front, pondering the meaning of the set up. He scratched his chin, his brow furrowed. There was only one explanation that he could come up with. "Hey, Mits!" At that moment, a few other ponies appeared in the aisle near Mitsaragi. At the front of the group was Savvy Klick, a smart-tongued pony who was aiming to be a copyright lawyer. Savvy had known Mitsaragi for years, and they had come to law school together. You could almost consider them best friends, if Mitsaragi wasn't so stoic of a pony. "What do you think about the set-up? Seems like something's going down." Mitsaragi didn't moved, but instead commented, "Savvy, if you're going to try to make me look like an idiot, please don't do it so blatantly." Savvy smiled mischievously. "Alright, you got me. It's quite blatant that there's going to be a mock court case in here. But you know as well as I do that that could still mean a lot of things. It could be a reenactment of some old case, or a review of all we've learned in a 'quirky fun way to learn', or it may just be an exercise on what it feels like." Savvy skipped over and set his head between his hooves on Mitsaragi's hoof rest, still wearing that mischevious smile. "But any way you slice it, you're planning on participating." "...That remains to be seen." Savvy sighed melodramatically. "You're always so stone-cold, Mits. You should lighten up." He then took the seat next to Mitsaragi, and got comfortable. "Welp, let's see just what is going on." Mitsaragi continued to think, brow furrowed.
  7. Astron looked on at Klank, unsure of how to handle the situation. While it was true that the unicorn had somewhat forced himself into the situation, he was rather flustered, and it wasn't as if he had done anything truly wrong. Astron smiled, watching the situation unfold. He then spoke up, "Well, Klank, it is surely nice to meet you. I am Astron Orion Cavalus, the dragon is my attendant, Scales, and this is Mudbug." He motioned to the filly upon saying this, and continued "Now, you mentioned working with machines? Why don't you walk with us and tell us about it." Scales jumped off Mudbug's back, and murmured, "Thanks, Muddy." He then began to walk along with the group, deciding that it would be safer to stay on the ground.
  8. (OOC: I'm going to assume some time has passed) Mitsaragi snored loudly on the couch. As it turns out, he had fallen asleep while waiting. He was currently in a hooves-up position, his mane sprawled over the cushions. He would kick occasionally as if from a dream, but he mostly stayed still save for the exaggerated movements his mouth made.
  9. Astron blanched at the reaction that his Aunt had just displayed. He felt terrible that she felt that way, but wasn't sure how to handle it. He was just a young Stallion, after all. He poked his head out, and saw Celestia there, with a sad look on her face. She seemed truly perturbed by the events that had happened. He couldn't help but let his heart go out to the alicorn, the person who had in a way been his mother for so many years. Slowly, he approached her, until he was under her wing. He leaned himself up against her side in a comforting way, and murmured, "She'll come back. We love her, and she'll see that."
  10. Well, considering I keep seeing her in photos on Know Your Meme, I would say so. EDIT: HERP DERP NEVER MIND ALL OF THOSE PICS WERE DONE BY YOU
  11. So, my curiosity has gotten the best of me: is Mocha an OC of yours? Because, if so, you have a REALLY famous OC from what I can tell.
  12. Scales outstretched his arms, still not opening his eyes, and felt soft fur mixed with dirt and mud. He instantly wrapped his arms round the object, and held on for dear life. As Mudbug came to a stop, he clenched to her fur, and opened one eye and asked hesitantly, "...Is it over?" Astron stood up slowly, and shook off. He wasn't injured in any way, though he felt terribly embarrassed. Trying to hide the red blush across his muzzle, he walked over to the brown unicorn who had adeptly dodged him. "I'm terribly sorry about that. I really need to talk to someone about the roads here," he apologized. "You are alright, I hope?" He looked back over to Mudbug, and continued. "As for the running, we were heading to the tourist district in a, eherm, competitive manner." Astron couldn't help but blush again from the silliness of the situation.
  13. Mitsaragi stood there, staring at the unicorn that had just fainted on the pathwalk. The book continued to float in midair, still suspended by the magic that held it. A nervous tick developed in his eye out of frustration. He really didn't have time to deal with this, after all. He had research to do, legal cases to learn. But Mitsaragi knew that leaving the pony unattended would be irresponsible. He sighed for the third time in the last five minutes, and began cleaning up the mess. He used his magic to put all the books, papers, and supplies back in the bag, and slung it back over the unicorn's back. He then cast a spell to lift the colt on his back. As the spell ceased, Mitsaragi wheezed out of shock. This unicorn was heavy, and his thin build wasn't meant to carry too heavy of loads. He began to walk forward slowly, but didn't get far before falling to the ground out of exhaustion. He laid there, panting, and thinking of how to handle the current situation. Spying an inn nearby, he figured staying in a room until the colt awakened would be best. Using magic to decrease the pony's wait (though not enough to make the task easy), he stood up again and slowly pushed forward toward the inn. Upon entering, he fell to the ground, unsure if he would be able to move again. As he laid there, the innkeeper, a middle-aged earth stallion, walked up to him and stared down for a few seconds. "...You know a bed would be more comfortable." Mitsaragi looked up, startled by the presence of the stallion, and tried to regain his composure as quickly as possible. He stood up, smoothed his main, and gain a look of somber confidence again, though he was still breathing pretty heavily. "Um, *huff* yes, though its, *huff* not for me, *huff* this pony passed out *huff* and I feel he'd be *huff* better off in a room *huff* until he awakens." "Ah, yes. Well, I have a few open, though I'll have to ask for a cover charge of 30 gold pieces." "That'll *huff* be fine." The innkeeper nodded, and picked up the fainted unicorn, carrying him up the stairs. Mitsaragi followed, still panting. He noticed that the innkeeper had no trouble carrying the colt, and felt slightly indignant that an old pony was outdoing him in a simple task of carrying a pony, but he said nothing. As they reached the room, the innkeeper opened the door, and walked in. He moved toward the bed, and set down the fainted colt on it. "You ought to stay here until he wakes. Don't worry about paying until you leave," he commented to Mitsaragi, and left. Mitsaragi looked at the colt for a few seconds, and walked over to the couch, taking a seat on it, and closing his eyes. He began to wait for the colt to awaken, but hoped that he could rest for a few moments.
  14. DEAR HEAVEN THIS IS THE BEST INTRO THREAD I'VE SEEN YET WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU LURK WHEN YOU CAN MAKE BEAUTIFUL THINGS LIKE THIS HAPPEN
  15. I wouldn't, personally, because I feel like our culture is currently at a point of limbo. Obviously, the internet plays a huge role in our daily lives, but it hasn't hit that point yet to where it plays such a large role in our lives that every media and production decision is intertwined with it. Most internet users are still high school and college kids, so worrying about how the image of a TV show is portrayed on the internet can't be directly worrying, because the show isn't directly oriented towards that demographic. And the shows that are usually match up with the internet culture, anyways, so there's not much of a need for those groups to worry.

  19. [ Pony Related Character ] Name:Mitsaragi Gavel Gender:Male Age: Colt Species: Unicorn Pelt Color: Pink Mane/Tail Color & Style: Light Gray. Mane is short, with one long bang covering his left eye. Tail is also short, but well kept. Eye Color: Hazel Cutie Mark: A blindfold (Which comes from the phrase "Justice is blind") Physique: Thinner and more delicate. Residence: Canterlot Occupation: Prosecutor Motivation: Finding the truth, dealing Justice to criminals Likes: Walks in the park, trials, reading, discussing scholarly topics, tea Dislikes: Talkative people, inconvenience, sweets Character Summary: Mitsaragi grew up in a small shop outside of Canterlot with his parents, who sold traveler's supplies. However, one night, a band of robbers broke in and stole a large amount of what they had, severely injuring Mitsaragi's father. While the store managed to survive, Mitsaragi's father never fully recovered, handicapping his ability to work. This cut down on the stores profits, and made it hard to survive. Eventually, the robbers were caught, but there wasn't a strong enough case against them to convict them. Enraged at their acquittal, Mitsaragi vowed to step into law and make sure that criminals were given the sentence they deserved. He ended up going to law school in Canterlot, and becoming a respected law-student on the road to being a prosecutor. However, through watching trials and experiencing law at it's best, Mitsaragi came to learn that ponies could be just as easily convicted of crimes they didn't commit as acquitted of crimes they did. He then made his first priority finding the truth, but coming from the angle of guilt. It was on this day that he received his cutie mark: a blindfold to represent his objectivity as a prosecutor. Called "Mits" by his friends, Mitsaragi is not one to mince words. He isn't against friendship, but doesn't waste time on frivolous emotions; the academic is what he aims for. He also enjoys solitude, and makes sure he gets it consistently. He also enjoys a good cup of tea now and again, and will take trips to ponyville from time to time to enjoy the rural aspects of the land. ------------ *EHERM*
  20. Not true. Half of /b/ is immune. Hence the wars.
  21. Or she is expecting a little pony, yeah, I said it. Oh that Big Mac :3
  22. I liked it, for sure, but I found it to be a little silly. I did a fanboy when I say that Alfred Molina played the armadillo, though.
