That was from the Japanese version, not the 4Kids one. It was some powerful stuff, I managed to shed a tear during that scene. You'd have to have a heart of stone to not cry.

Pretty much. We ALL know this to be true. Heck, you're right, even the 80's series were better. Yep, but the thing is I only recently took a peak at the other MLP incarnations aside from FiM (Since that one is epic win in its purest form), and I found the 80's cartoon, for what it was, good, but still reeks of 80's toon syndrome (Created for the sole purpose of selling toys, what with huge casts and pretty cheap production standards.) However, I'm not saying it sucks, it's better than most 80's cartoons, the villains were awesome, the character designs were realistic without losing the cuteness factor (Something the G3.5 incarnation failed at). Still, it's a cartoon based off a toy-line, it's easy for minds to get blown if a mold is broken or it's out of the norm.

I guess my little comment could use a better explanation. Compared to the current series (Or even the 80's series), this is absolute crap, to put it bluntly. The animation looks stiff, Rainbow Dash might as well be Ted Baxter in a pony outfit, the character designs make my eyes bleed, need I go on? And that's not even mentioning the toys.

I chose Pinkie. What can I say, I like somepony who'd get all the memes I see online constantly, we'd both randomly burst into song, and she's probably pick me up when I'm feeling down. Fluttershy is a close close close second. She might not get the memes as well as Pinkie, but she's adorable and she also would help me when I'm feeling bummed.

That's definitely a possibility. Fillies and gentleponies,, opening for Iron Maiden, the greatest rock band in Equestria, the Cutie Mark Crusaders! But seriously, those guitar solos were pretty beast. \m/

True, true. Again, I feel they won't get the Cutie Marks unless it's a big special or part of a series finale (God forbid that happens anytime soon). Then again, they might get them sooner or perhaps not at all. Only time will tell. Besides at this point, they're mainly recurring characters, not near the level of importance as Twilight Sparkle's storyline. That said, they're still good characters, and maybe Friday's episode will shed a little light on how one's Cutie Mark does appear (Or what needs to be done in order for one to show up). I know it has something to do with finding your calling in life and maybe your personality (If Pinkie Pie's is any indication) Also, Kudos on being a fellow Troper.

If I know my TV tropes right, Status Quo is God. In other words, unless it's the series finale or something along those lines where the loose ends need to be tied up and whatnot, I don't see it happening. However, FiM has broken the mold on several tried and true tropes (Though at the same time, playing many straight), so maybe they'll get them sooner than we think. Also, xD at the above pic!

Well, I heard of it once I first heard of The Hub's existence. I mainly wanted the channel for the Fraggle Rock reruns (Though I have that series on DVD, it's just nice to see them on TV again), then I saw what The Hub would be broadcasting as original programming. Most of it look like garbage used as 30 minute commercials, but then I saw Friendship is Magic. I was interested in the character designs mostly, but once I saw an episode, I was hooked and completely fell in love with Pinkie Pie. (First episode I saw, BTW, was the Bridle Gossip one) The rest, as they say, is history, and I'm a full fledged brony.

Yes, or I could see if I could get some sticker paper, print off Fluttershy (Or in my case, I was going to give mine a new shade of pink, if you get me) and stick it on there (At least the case/my amp) By the way, Evil Enchantress cover coming right up. It's a bluesy version, however, not Pinkie's rendition by a long shot, though I'm fixing to record Giggle at the Ghostie.

My main guitar is a Gibson SG Standard in ebony (Hence my username). My other one is an Axl Les Paul copy I was going to cover with stickers and whatnot. (The former was used in the recording) I plan on covering either Art of the Dress or Pinkie's No Fear song next, but I'll make them a little more elaborate if I can (Audacity hates me right now. ) As for the Copa parody, I'm almost finished with it, just have to do the last verse. P.S. How did you get that Fluttershy on the back of that guitar? I would stand to ponify my case at least.

This one goes out to all the other musically inclined members of Equestria. Have you guys ever tried doing covers of some of the songs on the show or have done song parodies about FiM? I've done both, actually, as I've done a cover of the main intro theme and I'm writing a parody of the song Copa Cabana about the series as well (Though I'm thinking of doing a Pinkie tribute in the style of one of those cheesy 80's power ballads).
