Minor edit to the summary to match with my app for Veiled Cascade

Do OC's, or characters in general, need a set town of residence? A planed character of mine has to travel frequently because of her job, must she still be confined to the RPs of one town, or does it give me license to RP in other locations as well?

Distant Smiles for the most part is an NPC. He died long before he current point of time, but the character lives on in the form of a self concient journal that was given to Vacant Thought by Distant Smiles, who had enchanted it with a part of his personality. It's not in the summary since its a really recent development. I already RP with Vacant on Tumblr, should I link to it in the application?

Vacant wandered into the main square. The day had been hectic for him, and he was hoping for a moment to relax. He sat on a nearby bench, and closed his eyes and listened to the birds sing.

Roleplay Type: World of Equestria RP Name: Vacant Thoughts or Vic for short Sex: Male Age: Stallion, middle age Species: Earth Pony Eye Color: Paige Coat Color: Brown Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: grey, messy and short. Tail is cut short. Physique: small build for a stallion Cutie Mark: Three question marks arranged in a triangle, recieved after winning a debate on existentialism. The debate was between him and Distant Smiles, and lasted a very long time. Eventually, it was broken when the teacher noticed Vacant's cutie mark. Vacant was ecstatic and he and Distant Smiles became friends. He likes to spend most of his time musing on recent events amoung many other things, given the chance for a debate, he will not hesitate in participating. Origin/Residence: Lives in Ponyville, originated from Trottingham Occupation: Hotel Manager. He had the opportunity to persue different carries both after he graduated and when he arrived in Ponyville. The first time, Vacant couldn't imagine a better way to spend his carreer than with his closest friend. He quite liked his occupations, despite having to deal with clients, Vacant found the job gave him a lot of time to relax and muse quitely. When he came to Ponyville, he decided to return to his former carreer for the same reason. Motivation: He recieves encouragement from other ponies, though doesn't openly show that he is affected by it. Likes: Thinking, photography, reading and writing, art, philosophy. Dislikes: socializing, load music Character Summary: Vacant Thought was born and raised in Trottingham. From the very start, he was incredibly anti-social and made few friends. At school, Vacant Thought discovered his natural talent, philosophy. After graduation, he and a friend, Distant Smiles, decided to enter business together, founding a hotel. Distant Smiles was quite different from Vacant, he was much more social and outgoing. It was soon established that Vacant would settle the business side of operations, while Smiles handled customers. The two were very successful, becoming one of the best hotels in the city, attracting a diverse crowd of celebrities and everyday ponies alike. During this time, Vacant married one of his frequent customers, and had a single daughter, Veiled Cascade, but over the years, she would usually answer to Vanny. Vacant continued to live a happy life, but it wouldn’t last. Distant Smiles developed a terminally illness, of which he knew of long before telling anypony, leaving Vacant the sole owner of their enterprise. However, the emotionally trauma left Vacant even more incapable of handling customers, and the business collapsed. Vacant spiraled into a deep depression; his wife deemed him mentally unsuitable to care for his child, and so he was left to live alone. He quickly decided he just couldn’t bear to live in Trottingham any longer, selling his business and other worldly poccesions to wander for several years; he eventually ended up in Ponyville, where he runs the hotel Empty Spaces. He merely wishes to live the rest of life peacefully, avoiding contact with other ponies as much as possible, but doesn't have the stability to retire. Of his old life, he misses his friends and family the most, specificly his daughter. However, Vacant has no knowledge of their current life and believes reunion to be an impossiblity mostly because of this lack of knowledge, so he would rather try to forget about. Current hobies include sketching and keeping track of ideas in an old, enchanted journal giving to him by Distant Smiles, the true nature of which is unknown to Vacant Thought Despite his antisocial behavior, he understands that complete isolation is impossible, due to the nature of his job. He isn't entirely friendless, and is perfectly capable of having a converstation when the need arises, but typical conversations are typically filled with snark and vagueness.
