Very good, back of topic... kind of. I was hoping somepony would bring this thread back to relating with the idea of why so many insist Rainbow Dash is lesbian. ----------------------------------------- Myself I consider it like this: I have read and enjoyed fanfiction or art where Rainbow Dash is with a mare, whether with her friends or with another, unless the writers labels her as lesbian and tries shoving it down the reader's/viewer's throat. Myself, I believe she will most likely get with a Wonderbolt when the time is right. Whether this is a mare or a stallion, myself pick Soarin, is not so much the point for me. I would prefer for fans not to encourage stereotypes, and really having Rainbow Dash be lesbian makes her a flying stereotype with legs thus not a good thing in my eyes. Please do not encourage stereotypes, that is all I ask. I do feel it is unlikely for any of the mane Six to get together as I just don't feel that is the kind of relationship they are developing between each other. One could argue with Rainbow Dash being with just about any of her friends and while a good case was made between her and Rarity I could if I go through the episodes find just as likely of combinations. Well I can make good troll bait, so it is possible, and I can get loud with my feelings in involving the show. Really a troll could have a lot of fun with me, and I often willingly go into such situations knowing full well I may be being trolled.

No, no I would disagree with that as well. Why? Because there's been countless episodes were Twilight has essentially taken a supporting role and her friends have taken center stage. Sure Twilight may have been the bearer of the Element of Magic, now a princess and alicorn now... but this journey would have never been possible without her friends. Without th rest of the Mane Six, the main cast, almost nothing Twilight has accomplished would have been possible. Without her friends she would never have defeated Nightmare Moon. Without her friends and Celestia she would never defeated Discord and though I dislike bringing up this episode without Fluttershy Discord would never been 'reformed'. Without Shining Armour and Princess Cadence the shapeshifting Queen Chrysalis would never been defeated. Without Spike King Sombra would never been defeated. Really without friends and the lessons she had learned Twilight would never have become an alicorn or princess.

Heck, Applejack isn't it even one of my favorites. That goes to first Twilight Sparkle and then Rarity. Of any case Applejack is just as much of a hero and just as much of a main character as the rest of the Mane Six. More, Rainbow Dash is probably one of my least favorite of the Mane but I still give her the respect of being called a main character.

Applejack is NOT a background pony, for one no background pony would have so many episodes they are a part of or so many episodes. Heck if you wish to argue such Rarity and Fluttershy are just as much a background pony with the number of episodes focused on them. So don't you dare call Applejack a background pony, especially since it had been so long since Rarity had an episide.

Yet as I pointed out Rainbow Dash was never intended to have a rainbow mane nor even be named Rainbow Dash. Lauran Faust wanted her favorite pony Firefly but for copyright reasons she couldn't have her in the show. So she took the body of Rainbow Dash (a very girly pony that loved dresses) and put Firefly's personality and mind inside. Firefly I should note has blue mane/tail and pink coat... not much of an LGBT mascot right?

That is not the sort of reasoning I'm looking for and while it may work for some it doesn't work for me. Thank you very much for putting forth the effort in presenting evidence for why you believe they would make a good couple. I plan on going over what you said but as I'm using my phone now that will have to wait. I just want to say I appreciate that you went though the effort of fufilling my request.

Explain your reasoning, how does it make sense? Why do you feel, logically, that RD and Rarity would be the most compatible couple? Give things from the show that would suggest this being a possibility. ((Yes I'm over analyzing, it is how I go about things))

Sorry but I personally don't see it, out of all of their friends Rarity and Rainbow Dash are the least likely to get together. Both Rarity and Rainbow Dash would be more likely to be with Fluttershy while RD would be more likely to be with Pinkie Pie... if any of them get together at all.

The irony of all this, at least partly, is what the original character concept for this character was. Lauren Faust wanted her favorite pony Firefly to return to the show, who had a pink coat with blue mane and tail, but for copyright reason she could not do so. As such Lauren decided to put her view on Firefly's personality into the G3 pony Rainbow Dash, a very girly pony it should be noted that liked dresses, meaning people using Friendship is Magic Rainbow Dash's appearance to justify her being lesbian is amusing. Hmm... I apologize for committing the crime of necromancy, I did not check the date.

Well this video actually tells story of how Luna wanted to help the the suffering ponies by taking some and making a new colony. Celestia in a way I did not quite like (forbidding her sister with the artwork showing dominance and control, even leaving it open for to be interpreted that Celestia did not care about her suffering of her subjects) said she did not feel dividing an already weak nation would actually help make it better or safer for ponies. So Luna, putting to sleep her sister and the guards as well as all other awake in the city, goes out and gathers a number of the homeless and orphaned foals believing it easier to ask forgiveness than permission. She then flies the foals to their new home... The video is beautifully animated and very very well done but if it wasn't for the fact of how the Celestia is shown in the way she is a bit out of character I cannot fully enjoy it. Celestia would have explained that it would be easier and more productive for all of their subjects for Luna to help her rebuild the city to create homes and find families for the orphaned and homeless foals that do not have such.

I am willing to pay $10-15 dollars through Paypal for an skilled artist to change these characters into ponies: Just a little background the charmers' names are Aussa (earth, brown), Hiita (fire, red), Eria (water, blue), Wynn (wind, green), Dharc (dark, black), Lyna (light, white). Dharc is the only guy in the group based on what is most commonly believed and his art. The first four came long before the last two, so in that way they could be called the 'oldest'. Use the picture to decide on what they should look like, maybe using their staffs and the elements they control for ideas on what their cutie marks should look like.

I am more then willing to make a new character if I must but since things are busy/distracting in real life I was wondering if a revision of an already approved character would be allowed (with possibly re-approval)?

Well that is your choice yet may I ask why she would reasonably feel the need to be against Celestia, or how Luna would be in the right to do so? Myself as I saw what Celestia did a 1000 years ago as the right thing to do as leader of Equestria, and that I don't see Celestia as a tyrant I never saw a point to the Lunar Republic.

Also don't forgot that a certain group can take the appearance of others, at least one could take the appearance of the princesses.

Maybe I can create/put together a roleplay based by how people vote. ----------- Possible ideas: Equestria is under threat of the Changling Swarms and the Followers of Chaos, forcing the Equestrian Diarchy to call upon the aid of the Guardians of Harmony and the sisters to offically estabilishing the Mane Six as generals. A setting where Equestria has been at war for a number of years so as to allow Twilight and friends to go into their position as leaders, before the events of season three or after mattering what people want. Or perhaps having the factions Solar Empire, Lunar Republic, Guardians of Harmony, and the Followers of Chaos facing off against each other in conflict... though I would add a certain twist so that Celestia and Luna are not actually in charge of the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic but someone else is pulling the strings to make it seem like the sisters are against each other, maybe even have the princesses out of the picture by them being captured.

Also this would create conflict and drama since it would mean the Mane Six and the rest of the Guardians would need to turn against Celestia and Luna, especially so for Twilight since Celestia is so important to her... Especially since it was never shown that Queen Crysalis didn't bring back together her scattered swarm... though some could say that she actually has the best interest of her childen at heart and only did what she did so that she could feed them and herself.

That is your choice, just remember you can show support to Princess Luna without being against Princess Celestia. ^_^ --------------------------------- This would mean though as a supporter of the Guardians of Harmony that I must stand against you.

Now the reason why I have seperated this poll into two Questions is because there are fans, like me, that don't see the sisters are against each other. As such I feel it is only fair that the poll allows fans to show their support of both sisters and their right to rule, not choose just one. In turn I have provided a third option for those that do not wish to support either the Solar Empire and the Lunar Republic, one that seeks to keep harmony in the land. ---------------------------------------------------------------- The Guardians of Harmony is a faction I created as my "Take a Third Option", in such a setting in which the sisters are for whatever reason opposed. A group originally created by Princess Celestia after the banishment of Nightmare Moon with the direction to be protectors of Equestria. They are to obey her orders until such a time as either her sister Luna can return to her rightful place by her side in which case the Guardians are to obey the both of them or if for whatever reason the royal family were to become a threat to Equestria... they are to obey the orders of those that wield the Elements of Harmony. In this case this means that if the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic was to actually come into existence and the sisters were behind these groups, the Guardians of Harmony would obey the orders of Twilight and her friends. If on the other hoof Celestia and Luna are not oppose or behind the conflict between the groups the Solar Empire and Lunar Republic those that wield the Elements of Harmony would be their generals.

Myself I would rather go with the that has proven she is an intellegant and wise leader with over 1000 years of service to her subjects. I mean if you have a leader that citizens follow loyalty and with respect, one wouldn't just toss this leader aside for one with much less experiance and that has shown that has make choices that would have destroyed Equestria. ---------------- I apologize for the double post, I am used to my posts combining together if I make two (MLP Forums).

Despite the name, the Crystal Empire is a part of Equestria and more like a city it would seem. the Changlings are a group few but fans would follow and Twilight is loyal to Celestia.
