1. Leafy paused in his tree-shaping, judging the saplings had grown and moved sufficiently. "That ought ta do," he announced, then levitated a tarp over the shaped sapling to form a shelter. "My name's Leafy Greene, and if y'all can wait a few minutes, I see to growin' some dinner for y'all." His horn glowed again as he concentrated, and a nearby apple tree burst into bloom. Moments later, the blooms began to fall away, and tiny green apples swelled into being.
2. Leafy looked at the ponies who had come to where he was working, then at the extent of his campsite. Piles of cut lengths of logs were lined up to dry and season before they could be cut into useable lumber, sawdust from the cutting magically gathered and bagged for sale by his family resting in a pile beneath a tarp to protect and keep it dry, and a tent and fly pitched off to the side and out of the way. It would be crowded with the new guests unless he could pitch another temporary dwelling space. "Make yourselves comfortable while I figure out where to put y'all," he said. "This might take a while..." Concentrating on a group of saplings off to one side, Leafy directed his magical talent and began to shape them to support a large tarp. His horn glowed a pale green as the saplings stretched and bent, slowly forming a dome shape.
3. "Well..." replied Leafy, "If you don't mind traveling, Ponyville's about two days that way along that path. Or if you're looking for something a bit closer, and don't get spooked too easily, there's some ruins of a castle a bit the other direction... Or you're welcome to camp here with me while i finish cutting this lumber."
4. "~Helloo!~" came a voice, seeming to draw closer. Leafy turned toward the cry, waiting to see who -- or what -- would appear. "Hello yourself," he called out in reply.
5. Some distance away, Leafy Greene was working at the edge of a clearing, using his magic to manipulate a saw to cut lengths of a fallen tree for lumber. The faint sound of howling caused him to start in surprise and a bit of apprehension. "Probably won't come this way... at least I hope not," he muttered to himself, continuing to cut the tree. Several moments later, he heard the sound of trotting hooves coming along the pathway. "Hello? Is somepony there?" he called.
6. Just before Christmas 2010 -- we took a trip into NYC and wound up at ToysRUs on Times Square. Wall to wall people, lines an hour long, so we tried to browse. Our friend hauled us over to the Ponies aisle, grabbed a big stuffed Twilight Sparkle plushie and 'gifted' my roommates, launching into his 'sell' on the show. When we got home later that night he forced encouraged us to watch an episode...and all three of us were hooked...though I was only mildly interested until I watched "Winter Wrapup". That's when I started reading the fanfics and collecting the art...
7. OUTSIDE the bathrooms. I say this is the unofficial 'official' meet-up spot for the Canterlot Bronies! Now the question is, "WHEN?"
8. Let us hope the air conditioning is working --- 3000+ people generate a LOT of heat. Add the thermal buildup to a hot June/July day, and oven temps can occur... Of course, if there are a lot of Rainbow Dash costumes, it'll be 20% cooler...
9. If you go to the Meadowlands Expo Center Websiate, you can find a map of the facility at http://mecexpo.com/floor-plans/ . Look at it, pick a spot, and set up the meetup site. I suggest a hallway, rather than the main floor of the center, as that space is already selected for Con events... To find me there, look for the "World's Oldest Brony" sign...
10. Even though I'm a Great-Grandparent, I'm not sure i want to be called 'elderly' -- "Mature adult" would be a better eponym... (Love that Eponym has a pony in it...Grin!)
11. Most of the hotel bars are decent but pricey. In fact, New Jersey is pricey, everywhere. Your best bet? Bring your own and eat/drink in the hotel room...
12. That would include me -- I'm 12 miles from the convention center -- and yes, I'm attending both days. Look for the sign, "World's Oldest Brony"...
13. As a Scorpio, it says I'm determined, mysterious, and fearless. Determined, yes. Fearless, not so much (I have a hefty regard for my personal safety). Mysterious? Moi? Really? Still fun, though... But Princess Luna? Me? I don't think so...
14. Hyped fpr Bronycon at the end of the month!!!

15. It appears that I was hacked at some point, and all the settings on my computer were altered to show only news of the past 10 minutes. Thanks for the input... Fixed now...
16. Welcome to Canterlot! So glad I could help get you addicted interested...
17. Hi Dmitri! Welcome to Canterlot. Glad you finally figured out how to get on...
18. Been trying to see new posts in the introductions for two days, and NOTHING shows up...
19. Ever wonder what happened back in Ponyville while the cast was looking for the missing Applejack, after she went off to win the blue ribbons and prize money to fix the Town Center roof? Here's your chance to role-play that episode's (fictional) Back story... Applejack had not returned from her quest to win money to repair the Town Center Roof when the sound of plodding hooves heralded the arrival of a green-maned, white–coated Unicorn, pulling a cartload of finished lumber up the road from the East. Coming to rest in front of the half-roofed Ponyville Town Center, the stallion wiped the sweat from his brow, looked around, then asked in a loud voice , “Can somepony in charge of fixing up this here building sign for this lumber? I’ve hauled it here from the Whitetail Woods at the request of somepony called Applejack.”
20. Changes made, waiting for critiques for further changes if necessary, otherwise final...
21. Thank you for the suggestions. I was thinking the references were a form of shortcut to more easily explain what he did by example, rather than explanation. However, I fully agree the Zap-Apple bit is likely a bit overboard. I'll be making the recommended changes after I post this...and reworking the Zap Apples to better fit with canon.
22. Just one word... WOW! This is absolutely one of the best projects I've ever seen attempted! I did some simple bookbinding years ago to make volumes of some magazines I wanted to save, but this goes well beyond anything I ever attempted.
