  1. Shouldn't be too hard to do. I mean, it would only enlarge the story by about 1/9th, at most, which considering, isn't that much.
  2. Hello, and welcome to the site. I do a bit of digital art, although I mostly stick to simple spriting. Good to have you here.
  3. Oh, I'm sorry about this. I saw the post at your leisure in the Rp thread and didn't realize that we might've needed to consult here first. So I guess I might as well apply for this now, before I mess up anymore. Probably just going to use my OC, and develop him a bit more, if possible. Once again, sorry.
  4. Snapshot hadn't seen a storm like this in ages! The sun filtered through the clouds in just the right way to shade the town in a yellowish hue. It created an almost ominous feel, and would be great lighting for some cloud shots. Snapshot took his camera out of its pouch, setting the shuttertime a bit longer than normal, to get a sense of motion in the pictures. Just as he was about to take the picture, Apple Bloom came bounding up, sliding to a stop only inches from his face. Her mane seemed almost orange in the yellow light, and could hardly sit still. "Ohh, Ohh, take a picture of me, Mr. Camera Person!" Applebloom grinned, and opened her eyes wide in expectation. "Didn't I take a picture of you just a few days ago?" Snapshot said to the pony, who was now rolling on the grass. He smiled to himself, amused at Applebloom's childlike nature. "Yeah, but that was a few days ago, silly. I grew since then!" Applebloom said, standing up to her full hight. She was no taller than she was yesterday, but Snapshot just laughed again, before turning the camera to her face. Just as he took the picture, a great gust of wind swept by, almost knocking Applebloom over. Snapshot looked at the film, the long shuttertime made Applebloom a yellow blur on the picture because of how far the wind had pushed her. "Well that was strange," Snapshot murmured to himself. "The tornado's still a ways away. The winds shouldn't be that strong for a while. I wonder what's going on?"
  5. And ponies you will find here. Lots and lots of them. Then you add in a few more ponies and you get lots of ponies on an awesome site. But enough using fancy mathematics to muddy the issue, welcome to the site.
  6. Does anyone know how to change that second link to a url? It's not exactly the same as the other sites I'm used to.
  7. I had mentioned that I played line rider in my introduction thread, and felt like putting this here. It really is a fun game, and even more fun once you get better at it. See what you can make, and post it here. http://www.linerider.com/Game/LineRider_6.7.swf
  8. No problem. Maybe give me about a week. If I don't have it by then, it's because I'm being lazy, and you should probably pester me with spammy pm's until I respond and get back to work on it. Hopefuly it doesn't come to that.
  9. Oh, hello. nice to meet you. As for the pony creator, it may be "cheating" if you're using it for a final project, but it's certainly good for brainstorming character design, and learning new positions and what they look like on paper. It might not be a bad idea to play around with it for a while. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
  10. Oh, okay, that makes it really easy. I'll get them to you shortly. Any song requests?
  11. Roleplay Type: for the World of Equestria RP Name: Snapshot Sex: Male Age: Old Colt/Young Stallion Species: Unicorn Eye Color: Seafoam (Slightly lighter than Mane and Tail) Coat Color: A medium gray. Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: A Blue Green mane and tail, cut in an unruley manner and barely combed in a part. He doesn’t have time nor feel the need to look tidy in the mornings. Physique: Rather thin, and average height, but sturdily built in the hind legs, due to having to stand on them to take a picture. Cutie Mark: A camera, gotten when he started his trip around equestria trying to capture the world on film. Origin/Residence: Born in Smallgrove, and is now traveling… everywhere. Any place he hasn’t been, he plans to go. Occupation: Selling photos that he takes from around equestria. While it doesn’t do much in the way of payment, he considers his lack of luxury a small price to pay for the love of the job. Motivation: His biggest dream is to see the world, and he can’t do that while asleep. He also trys to sneak some pictures of the better looking mares at his current residence, and occasionaly gets caught, much to his own embarassment. Likes: Travel, Pictures, Beautiful landscapes, and Color. Dislikes: Loud noises, Drab scenes, and Waiting. Character Summary: Born in a village named Smallgrove near what is now Appleloosa, Snapshot had just gotten used to the bleak, yellow landscape about him. He found this name incredibly ironic, as the only trees he saw growing around the area weren't exactly fit for harvest. His family had tried farming in the harsh conditions, but after his father broke his arm and got infected, Snapshot had to take over doing most of the work around the farm. During his free-time, though, he liked visiting the different places around town. One of his favorite places was the train station. He spent so much time there, watching the trains go in and out on a regular basis. He always wondered where they were coming from, and where they were headed. As Snapshot walked down the side of the railroad, leading away from the town, he spotted a camera that somepony must’ve dropped out the side of the train. It was rather beaten up from being dropped a lot, and some of the buttons were jammed. He picked it up, and put it around his neck to bring home later. After taking a few shots, he went on his way back to his house, and set the camera on his bedstand, ready to use the next morning. Within the next week, he had become hooked on photography, and used quite a bit of money on film and supplies. Because of this new hobby, however, he found himself spending less time working on the farm as he should, and his family slowly started to lose money. His parents, who noticed the decline in work, called a family conference late one night. Pulling him into the kitchen, they sat him down and explained that he had to work on the farm, or leave and give the family one less mouth to feed. Sending him off to his room, they went to bed and shut off their light, leaving to his own thinking. After pondering the concequences, Snapshot came to a decision, packed a single bag, and headed for the train station near the center of town. Without enough money for a ticket, he set off along-side the tracks, knowing full well that he wouldn't be allowed to return to his home. Desert eventually turned to grass, and Snapshot found himself on the outskirts of Ponyville. He had never seen anything so green, and immediately used the rest of his film to take pictures of the newfound color. He was so happy at the time, he almost didn’t notice that a camera had appeared on his flank. Once he had taken the last possible picture, he took his photos and entered the town, determined to share his newfound love of the world with other ponies, and use his special talent for good. As Snapshot set his photos out on a table, he placed a sign that said “Photos, 1 bit” at the front. He didn’t need too much money when he had this much joy. As the first customer walked up, he sat back and allowed the pony to choose (much to his surprise) one of the photos he had taken while in the desert, instead of the colorful, greener photos that he had enjoyed so much. He had assumed that they were just useless photos that no one would want, and passed the pony off as slightly messed up in the head. His opinion started to change, however, as more and more ponies started to pick up the photos he had taken earlier on the trip. Eventually he was down to one photo of the desert, while most of the ones around ponyville were still on the table in front of him. Picking up the last photo, Snapshot stared at the photo, trying to see what the ponies had seen that was so amazing about the dry landscape. As he stared, he realized that the picture wasn’t ugly at all. It was just different from his idea of beauty. As he looked at the picture, he realized that there was some good in his childhood home afterall, even if he didn’t see it. Staying in ponyville, Snapshot broadened his horizon from landscape pictures to pictures of people as well. This provided a more steady source of income, as there were quite a few ponies who required this service. So with some money in hand, he went and bought a better camera, and more film. As time progressed, he eventually lost his serious appearance, and replaced it with a more carefree personality. He saw the good and beauty in almost everything, even taking a picture of Granny Smith, which she bought later at his stand, thinking it was her long lost twin. Of course, he couldn’t stay in ponyville forever, so with his new camera, and all the necessary supplies, he packed up shop and moved around Equestria, doing the same thing in every town.
  12. Usually an Ocarina is classified by the number of holes on the front side of the instrument. When you say top and bottom, are you talking about the front and back of the instrument or the arrangement of holes on the front side? The fingerings are sorta different for each depending.
  13. Oh, you made the reddit post? I had no idea, nice to know.
  14. I don't know where to find any, but I could make some. Maybe give me a week and I'll have them to you, kk? EDIT: I guess before I do this I should ask whether you have a four or five holed Ocarina. I'm almost positive it's four, but better to be on the safe side. Maybe even 12 hole, if you're really into it, but I highly doubt that.
  15. I think you got the wrong person. I'm the one that joined because of your FB post.
  16. Hello, and welcome to the site. This is my first few days here as well, so you aren't the only person on that boat. More people just seem to flood in every day, which is surprising, since the only sites I go on usually have a new member about once a month, at most
  17. I like the idea, and the shyness of the character could definately lend some interesting challenges in stories to come. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
  18. Hello. Welcome to the site, and feel free to ask any of the seasoned veterans such as myself any questions concerning the site. Also, please don't take me seriously when I say that. Have fun, though, and welcome to the site. As for where to make friends, it's practically impossible not to stumble across a friendly guy willing to help out. I've only been on a day and have had some very nice conversations with multiple people.

    Ohi people.

We are the one percent, good sir. Wear your fabulosity with pride.

    Ohi people.

Olol, that makes so much sense (shocker...)! Thanks for this, though. I've forgotten what it's like to be a nub.

    Ohi people.

Okay, I just checked the character application form. While it certainly told me a lot about what to include in my application, I couldn't exactly find where to send my application to. As the thread is locked, and doesn't have any replies, it makes it sort of obvious that you can't just post it on the page.
  22. Opal

    Ohi people.

Thank you. I'll probably just need a few terms to get down. Just sorta looking through some of the RP's right now, to see if I can find anything I don't know.... What's OOC? I haven't heard that one before.

    Ohi people.

About Myself: I'm a moderator over at a site called Elite Line Rider. Just a small site (almost dead) but still fun, and I learned a lot about the internet by hanging there. I'm also sorta big into photography, and have a bit of an artsy side. How I found Canterlot.com: I was directed here on facebook by NeilWacaster. How I became a fan of MLP:FiM: I actually became a brony before I knew whata brony was. Some guy came onto ELR and was all "Hey, are there any bronies on here?" So I, being the crazy mod I am, shot my arm straight into the air and said "I am! Now what the [cencored] is a brony?" About a month later I watched the first episode. My favourite main cast pony/s: Miss Rarity Hello people. As I don't know where the two page essay I wrote about myself is going to be put, I'll just sum it up again down here. I'm a mod on Elite Line Rider, a forum that none of you have ever heard about, nor will you anytime soon (If you have, I'd be very suprised). I mainly joined this site for the roleplaying expirience, after a while I decided writing novels just didn't have enough human interaction. So I started roleplaying, and am sorta new to it. Now the big point. I don't know nuthin' bout' dem RPG stuff. So if any of you lovely people can clue me in to the terminology that I may need while playing, that would be great. Thanks.
