  1. Solar looked over to Ice for conformation. Wait, conformation? Pfft, like Ice was going to say anything besides yes in some fashion. "Sure, why not?" She smiled, beating her wings once and puffing out her chest. "I'm Solar Wind, Guard-In-Training! Well... Sort of. A little. Its more like an aspiration. I's just a Weather Pony right now." Her smile turns a bit more guilty. "And its a pleasure to meet you, Miss Ironhooves." Sounded familiar yet again. Man, this day was going to be awkward if she kept running into ponies she thought she knew! Probably just one of those names. Solar kicked off her back hooves, beating her wings and doing a lazy backwards flip that lead into a lazy hover. "By all means, lead the way you two. I don't know the streets like I should from ground level, ahe."
  2. Shadowmist: Just between you and me? Writing is -awesome-. My cutie mark might be some kind of globe with made-up continents, or an open book, for my hyperactive imagination and ability to make up full, interesting worlds and stories!... But more likely than not it would be a computer, considering how much time I just laze on it x3 Silverswirl: Got your passion in gaming, eh? Its certainly an amiable passion. Also, I think it says something that you said 'Quarters and joystick; instead of a controller. Keep it old school! Lux: Eggheads are best heads. Besides, one of the coolest people in my fambly is a librarian, and I have a high degree of respect for the profession. ApocalyptiCchaos: Are those your special talent? Creativity is an amazing gem that's so undervalued in modern society... Its so good to see so much creativity around and abouts. punky: Your name would have me believing other things. Guess that's what I get for judging a pony by their cover and not whats really important... Dat flank. But no, really, that's a noble pursuit ^^ Kendrick: Blacksmithing is so cool! Also, so entirely exhausting! Tried it once... Though I might have been biased, what with backpacking all day. Either way, nifty neato! You don't see a lot of people even dabbling in blacksmithing anymore outside of recreation, so that's really interesting. SirShadowdeath: Partypooper. In all honesty, there's not a doubt in my mind this hasn't been posted by somepony else at some point in time, but I was still curious and trying to search for a similar topic yielded no results. So I went for it! NoedigJK471: Haha, that works too! Less magic more SCIENCE. But what would your cutie mark be? star1228: You sure its not because you spend oodles of time on one? <.< >.> I jest, I jest. But now I know who to call when my PC is having issues! tyler008bon: Oooh, archery! I remember archery, that was always fun! You could always hunt for yourself out in the woods, and it would mean you have a decent shot of winning if ever chosen for the annual Hunger Games! Double threat. TheInvisiblePony: The process of finding out the workings of things is always, for lack of a more eloquent term, really flippin' sweet, ain't it? That would be a pretty nifty Cutie Mark... Though I feel lots of people would mistake you for a mechanic.
  3. The pegasus chuckles with a slight grin. It had been so long since she'd talked to the mare... But she still kept her particular brand of enthusiasm throughout. It took Solar back to the old days for just a brief second of Celestia's day, remembering the clack of tile and the smell of cold and cream... Yes, she would claim cold had a smell, much like hot did. Cold smelled like winter nights fresh snow, a frigid wind, like goosebumps on your skin when the bite went through your coat. Its complicated. "The park sounds like a lovely idea, Icey." She commented, using her wings to push the two of them back up onto their hooves proper. Who knew what had been dropped and trampled into the cobbles? "I can't say I go there very often. I just, you know..." She waves a hoof up at the sparse cloud cover with a guilty smile. "Pegasus around. You know the way from the streets...?" Ugh. You live in this city your entire life and still cant give proper walking directions? She puts it on her 'To do' list, looking about... And finally noticing the mare in the doorway with a smile. Aha! Local Earth yokel, five o'clock! "Aheh, hiya!"
  4. Cutie Marks are a symbol of a ponies special talent in the MLP universe, like a magical butt tattoo to tell the world exactly what makes you so... Special. It's not necessarily connected to your work (Rarity's super special talent is related to Gemstones, but that doesn't mean she needs to incorporate them in her fashion lines), It probably doesn't even have to be connected to their species, heck, it certainly doesn't have to be literal. But its important to those ponies, a mark that shows part of their very being. So what if you had one? Not on your flank, but maybe on, I don't know, your shoulder or cheek or the backs of your hands. What do you think your Cutie Mark would be? What would that symbolize?
  5. The orange pegasus smiles genuinely, holding her hoof out almost awkwardly as the other pony softly turns her name over. Solar frowns. She really does look familiar, like a mare she should know... She can't put her hoof on it. Soon enough, she can't put her hooves on anything, as her attempts to recall leave her completely unprepared for the flying-unicorn style tackle. "Solar!" came her enthusiastic cry. The pegasus beats her wings in response, now working really hard to try and remember where she knows this mare before it gets -really- awkward. "Its me, Ice Storm! You used to always come in my shop, and were the one of the few that actually listened to what I had to say!" Oh.-Oh-. OH! And suddenly, just like that, a switch is flipped. The Iced Treats parlor! She used to go there all the time as a filly, listen to the crazy stories of the mare who owned the place. Thinking now, it seemed so long ago... But she had closed down the shop and moved away, that little corner of Canterlot now had a washing business or something in it. What was she doing here? "By Celestia, its been a long time Ice." She wrapped her wings around the blue Unicorn mare, smiling a little. "Its so great to see you back in Canterlot! I really miss spending every other Saturday at your place with Sunbeam..." She pauses. Not the time and place for Sunbeam, Solar, you just ran into her again. "What are you doing back?"
  6. Whenever I wish to partake in Ponies, my fellow Bronies, I go and find the high definition episodes on Youtube. This bears true for new episodes as well; wait for them to come out on the tubes in 720/1080p and avoid all Brony sites like the plague until that happens. I would be rewatching the episodes on Netflix, however, whenever I try and check it out via the Wii, the colors are off - too bright, the colors are off, it literally hurts to watch after so long. Don't know why its so off, its even off on my brothers (Different city, with a different account, through a different console). So that is unfortunately off the table.
  7. Whoa, we have one of these things? Fancy!

  8. "Hrmm?" She turned her head lazily, blinking as her sunrise eyes met the glacial ones of the pony behind her. For a moment, she was stuck with her mouth open in an awkward pose as that unsettling mind-tingle of 'day jah voo' washed over her. She knew this pony... Didn't she? But this was Canterlot, she saw ponies all the time. Maybe she was just one of those faces? Blue was certainly in fashion right now, or maybe it was in fashion because it wasn't in fashion... No, she -knew- this pony, she just didn't know that she knew! Maybe she should ask? No, that would be awkward. Crap, its already awkward isn't it?! Oh well, guess its time to make things worse. On the outside, this little mental flip flop manifested as Solar turned back, opening her jaw to speak and any words dying with a little squeak and a subtle turn of the head. She held that position for what had to be a really long second, blinking, before shaking it off and turning to face the cold-colored pony. "Aah, hi there. We've met before, I think, but I forgot." She turned fully to face the unicorn mare, holding out her hoof. "Solar Wind."
  9. Canterlot. A city of hopes, dreams, and the ponies that made both. Bustling like an anthill, roiling like the sea, here is where ponies went to fabricate ideas into realities, spin the weaving's of fancy into tomorrows dresses, the flights of their daydreams to the culinary innovation of the season, erect the halls of tomorrows free thinkers and book writers. Even the common pony could feel the hum of the air, on their way to work, stamping their card of writing their papers - This was Canterlot! Heart of Equestria, and we are its blood. This is where the Princesses sat, from where the sun was raised. This is where the future is made. And today was a good day, just like any other. Celesita's sun hung bright in the vivid blue sky, not a cloud in sight today - Kicked away by the weather crew, or shoved off to another part of the kingdom in needing of precipitation. Ponies clamored down the streets, dressed in fancy regalia, bearing carts loaded to their brims with equipment and goods, running with important meetings on their minds, or even just strolling to enjoy another sunny day in the Gem of Equestria. It was a nice day for a walk... And even Solar Wind, a pony considered 'Skyward Bound' by anypony who knew her, clicked down one of the less congested backstreets on her hooves, head in the clouds despite hooves on the ground. She clung to the shadows of the ornate buildings of the old town, loving Celestia's sun like any other flesh and blood pony, but finding it a bit warm without the wind in her mane. She trotted wordlessly, quietly, down that dark little street in Canterlot, with no destination in mind, just direction. Just another day in Canterlot.
  10. Hey there! Please let me apologize before hand - I am but one pony, but I wan't to put my best hoof forwards towards your character... Aaaand that mean's I'm going to be a little critical. Just a bit. Just a smidgen. I'm so sorry. First, I assume you're using the Fallout: New Vegas style of point distribution due to the lack of the 'Small Guns' and 'Large Guns' skill sets, eschewed for letting larger weapons just fall under their secondary category (Guns, Energy Weaps, or Explosives). Factoring in your guys Intelligence into leveling, without the Educated perk, he would get 14 Skill Points a level. But together all your skill points total up to 730 - Which would require him to be, in game, level 52 in order to acquire. If you were to stick with Fallout Equestria, the max 'level' as told by the author is 30, leaving 310 of his skill points unaccounted for. I know this napkin math doesn't factor in starting points, but you would need at least 28 points (+1 free floating point) in every skill at level 1 - Which might be possible with a Tag skill, but definately not elsewhere, especially with only a Luck of 1. Secondly, its a matter of your guys gear. Having him work with Energy Weapons is fine by me, but his weaponry is far too good. You shouldn't be starting out with not only a rare, high-powered Plasma Rifle (The Q-35 modulator), but you definately should be starting out with any Alien Tech, that stuff is super rare in the Wasteland and nonexistent before the fallout. Also, there are a few tidbits of conflicting information on your character sheet - He's only got a Strength of 3 and a melee skill of 40 (Which feels high), but he has an absurdly powerful Melee Perk that would basically turn Power Armor into paper mache, but you describe him as being 'Definitely a lot more built than average'. 5 is the 'Average' for all stats, so with a Strength of 3, as they call it in New Vegas, he would be as strong as a 'Doughy baby'. Also, why is his cutie mark removed? Finally, his name isn't a very pony name - I know there are standouts like 'Princess Cadenza Mi Amore' and 'Pinkamina Diane Pie', but not only are they rare derivatives from the norm (And Pinkamina prefers to be called 'Pinkie Pie'), but 'Lance X' doesn't fit the convention. If he's from before the War, he would have a far common style of pony name. Even in the Wasteland, they tend to maintain the standard pony naming convention - Calamity, Little Pip, Velvet Remedy, ect. Im not here just to bash you - I praise your utilization of only 40 S.P.E.C.I.A.L points without 'Intense Training' perk (Good management!), and his backstory certainly lends itself to an interesting character trying to live his way through what is now the post apocalypse, only having blinked and it been normal Equestria before, trying to find out what happened to all the ponies he once new. Don't loose faith, I'd really like to see this guy out in the world. Oh, and just to nitpick, please give credit to the artist of your picture. I've seen it before - A ponified version of Rick - And, no, its not a huge deal, but it would be nice to just give credit where its due for good art.
  11. Alright... I can't promise to make a great piece of art, but I will undoubtedly do my best. You've hooked me with intrigue, Tales. Count me in.
  12. I'm obliged to try! Call it some crazy compulsion, but I want - No, require - everything to work right and that takes varying degrees of patience. I shall wait. ...And eventually shamelessly ask people to give it a twice over. Eventually.
  13. Hello MyLittlePonyTales! Its going well, just hoping to maybe get a little more feedback so I can be sure my ducks are in a row before I try and push it to finalization. Just want to make sure its all actually... Final.
  14. Thank you! Feedback is highly appreciated ^^ I was unaware there was a Gen 3 pony named Sunny Daze... I didn't even have her parents names planned out until I sat down to write this. I'll think about a better name that's less likely to be confused. Maybe I should take the Cloudsdale line out. The thing was, as the first Pegasus child, she was offered to go to boarding school in Cloudsdale. It wasn't about actually being there ant not liking it - She never went. She didn't want to leave Canterlot. Despite her vies for independence and her forward and free spirit, she's very connected to her family. Its somewhat contradictory, but its how she feels. Certainly hope thins go well, I like this character too. Thank you again for the comment!
