1. Astral and Pound, at this point were lying side by side slamming their hooves and claws on the floor in an attempt to control their laughter.

Pound rapped in his unique style, his baritone voice more smooth an melodic then when he spoke normal. Truly razor's panic was priceless. Ponies would never hurt anything, though that is hard to remember when you're staring down a blast of magic.

The griffon's antics drove Astral over the edge and she just had to throw her two cents in.

She sang sweetly. Her voice permeated the air like a siren's song. Though she barely got it out through her laughing fit.

  2. "Excellent attitude to hold. Let competition empower you!" Astral exclaimed as she made a flexing motion with her left leg. "It's the same in the music industry."

Her mood brightened up quiet a bit. Razor's competitive attitude had a lot to do with it. The griffon was almost exactly like her, they let their failures and loses fall beneath him, but instead of being weights that held them down to the ground, they became stairs that could be used to ascend.

For a moment she had a big smile on her face, the attitude that got her

"Me? Why, I'm the lead singer and guitarist dear. A shame you couldn't meet.....Pfft," She nearly fell over in a fit of giggles. "I'm okay, I don't see why I didn't notice earlier. The third member of our group, Blackburn, is a pegasus named Razor Gale." Before she could even fully recover she fell back into a giggling fit when Razor gripped his head. He was being attacked by the arch enemy of all ice cream consumers. The brain freeze.

She walked over to him, still giggling, and patted him on the shoulder. "Looks like somegriffon is enjoying the ice cream more than they let on."

    History:

    Early Life:

Lyn comes from a nest of dragons that live in seclusion to in the mountains farthest to the north in the Badlands. Like most dragon broods his siblings fought constantly for dominance and his parents were pretty hands off. Even as a hatchling Lyn knew he was different, he didn't participate in the power struggles, nor did he collect random shiny objects just for the sake of having them. The young dragon went nameless for the earlier years of his life, by the time he, his brothers, and his sisters were old enough to leave the nest and return on their own all of them were breathing strong, healthy flames. All of them except for Lyn that is. He was always at the bottom of his brood, his wings took the longest to mature, his adult teeth were the last to come in, and he was the last to grow to his adolescent height, but even after all of maturation processes were complete he still hadn't found his flames.

As a youngster he spent his time exploring the terrain, searching for himself. Unlike most of his brood, he found joy in exploring old world ruins, unearthing their secrets, and collecting trinkets. During one of his rock climbing outing the young dragon came across an abandoned nest with a single egg in it. The stone all around the nest was scorched, so Lyn assumed that what ever animal was living there was forced to abandon their home or fight off raging dragons. On a whim he took the egg back home with him.

Within the week, the egg hatched and out came a baby brown falcon hen. He had never really seen a falcon before, but he heard stories about them from the elders of his brood. He remembered them being called masters of flight and fierce hunters. With his limited knowledge on the creatures he chose the name Inanna (Lady of the Sky) for her. That day, a life long bond was born.

During the night of his companion's birth Lyn watched a lightning storm. He was enraptured by beautiful lattices of energy passing through the clouds overhead. Leaving Inanna in her makeshift bed, he left the family nest to go skirt the charged clouds. The young dragon dipped and into and out of the massive grey bodies, raking his claws and dragging his wings through the as he went. Electricity arced across his scales, giving him a tingly feeling in his gut, the sensation was primal, almost as if he was suppose to take in the power of the clouds. After having his fun he landed back at the family nest, he body was tired yet somehow full of energy. On his way to his makeshift bed one of his sister pounced at him, startling and eliciting a bolt of lighting to fly out of his mouth. Needless to say, both dragons were surprised. His sister was the first to break from her trance, the young dragoness playfully bopped her brother on the nose and said "Lyn". He cocked his head in confusion at his sibling.

"That's what father calls the lights in the clouds," she said. "It's also what I chose to call you from now on."

He had been without a name his entire life, now that he had one he didn't really have a response. "I-I like the sound of that."

    Later years:

Now with a name, old enough to leave the nest permanently, and having found his breath, Lyn set out on a quest to find purpose in his life.

For the next several years Lyn and Inanna explored caves, climbed mountains, and sacked ruins. They built up a large and unique horde for themselves, but unlike most dragons, Lyn felt nothing for all of his gems and shiny trinkets. What was the point of all those amazing things if no one but him was going to see them. Seeking something interesting he and Inanna packed up some of their horde and flew to the relatively close city of Talonopolis. As expected his welcome was rather, cold, but eventually the city warmed up to the idea of a dragon being around. It didn't take long for him to realize that griffons and ponies used currency to obtain what they wanted so he took a job as a courier, it wasn't fun, but it was different and it allowed him to afford a place to live and food to eat.

During his time in the city he came across the Museum of World Treasures. The inside of the Museum was breathtaking, he had never seen so many wonders and ancient treasures in his life, both he and Inanna's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. The museum's curator saw the pair ogling the exhibits. The griffon, Hunter, gave Lyn a walk through of the entire building. however he ended on a sad note, he told Lyn that a large amount of the building was unused so the government was going to downsize the place. Thus cutting down on the space for new exhibits. Hunter said that the Aquelian government didn't think that there was much else to be found so that the space could be put to better use.

Lyn was devastated by this revelation, he had just found something new and thrilling, but its growth would be cut short because they where finding anything. At that moment, Lyn though about the stuff he had brought in his pack, to him it was just cool things he found in ruins and caves, but perhaps it could help this place. He showed Hunter what he had with him and the griffon nearly fainted. According to the griffon the trinkets that he had with him were extremely rare and valuable each piece warranted it's own exhibit. Hunter and Lyn worked out payment for the items and after receiving his bits the dragon turned to leave. Hunter stopped him and said that what he had sold him was just a small amount of history and many of the exhibits that his contribution had started were far from complete, so as additional thanks he offered him a permanent job as museum curator plus generous pay for any new items he finds and gives to the museum. Lyn accepted the job on the spot, it was everything he wanted: rewards for doing what he loved, and an audience to show his findings to. That day he quit his courier job and from then on become a full time explorer/part time museum curator.

    Character Summary:

Personality: Lyn is a go-person type of dragon. He believes that if you want to try something you should stop talking about it and go try it, and if you think that something thought impossible is possible go prove the world wrong. Because of his hobbies and interests he tends to make friends easily on both sides of the spectrum, his knowledge on old world history lets him bond with the scholarly and his expeditions give him something in common with thrill seekers. He can be quite talkative and sometimes a little hyperactive since friendships and close interactions outside of his parents, brothers and sisters is a fairly new experience. Lyn is always one to issue or accept challenges, be they of body or mind, he intends to come out on above the competition. Many of the griffons that know Lyn know that if you need the dragon's help he'll be there.

When not at the museum or playing with Inanna Lyn is an extreme sports buff, it come's with being an explorer. Even though he has wings, he prefers to climb mountains, and if there's a deep dark cave, you can expect Lyn to dive into it. When he's not risking his life Lyn also puts in time at the local libraries and tries to better his reading, he loves to learn about ancient civilizations and the things he finds, but it can be difficult with his level of literacy.

As much as he enjoys working at the museum, Lyn would love to have his own exhibition hall to show off the rarities he finds, somewhere he and Inanna can chronicle their accomplishments for all to see.

Prideful, arrogant, and stubborn, Lyn still manages to fit heart of gold in his chest, even if you don't like him and he knows it, Lyn will greet you with a toothy smile

Flaws: Sometimes is single minded, can come off a bit too strong and intimidate others by accident. Sometimes doubt's his decision to leave the badlands come to the city because he misses the freedom of doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to. He has a slight problem with authority, in the badlands the strongest tells everyone what do to, but in the city power isn't a measure of who you can beat up, so Lyn feels that alot of the griffons and ponies in charge aren't worth their salt and has a tendency to look and on them. Despite being able to soar above the clouds, Lyn is still a pretty terrible flyer, his endurance is good but that's about it. For all of his intelligence and problem solving skill Lyn is a poor reader(except maps), and mathematics just completely stomps him, he really needs a tutor, but is too embarrassed to say anything. Lyn while prideful and a little hard headed,is not a fool, he's seen the looks he gets sometimes and knows he's on thin ice, everyday he makes sure he acts his best, the fear of wronging someone and being exiled nags at the back of his head everytime he prepares to speak.

Additional: Part of his job training was learning about old world history, as a result he is extremely knowledgeable on the subjects of ancient civilizations, magical artifacts, and geography.

  4. Gimme the tl;dr as to why you can't get him his coat, or the peppermint oil? New Arbu is kinda self explanatory xD

The coat - He made the coat personally and the back bears the symbol of his mercenary group The Crimsonwings. Said merc group was only created to give New Arbu a source of legit money and supplies after Littlepip killed all of the original inhabitants.

The Peppermint - Simple, there was no peppermint anywhere near Arbu so he had it couriered there from the NCR greenhouse near Dise so that it be grown locally. Without New Arbu, Arik would lack the caps to afford something like that, and he would have nowhere to grow it even if he could afford it.

  5. It puts me in a difficult position actually. Something told me to use Kasimir...

    TIME PARADOX!

    - Arik is frozen during Snowshoe and Slip Gun's lifetimes.

    - Events taking place before FoE would rob Arik of his resources, he wouldn't even have his coat.

    - New Arbu doesn't exist

    - He wouldn't have been able to get that peppermint oil

Let me replace Arik's canon (I'm writing a fic about Arik) with spaghetti O's, because that's the only thing I can think of that can bend this much without breaking.

Lol, I now have no Idea how to answer Brute's question!

  6. "I'd like to think that I'm more sturdy than that, but what you speak is simple biology. I do try to be less...hm, attention hungry. As you can see, I'm still a work in progress." She snickered a little in her hoof. It's true, Astral was working on being more humble, it would make her an overall better pony, but at the same time being greater than what she is now was an impossible thought to the pony. She was already the greatest, what could lie beyond perfection? She shook the thoughts out of her head. Modesty. she repeated internally.

She and Razor shook, his grip was firm, the only thing firmer was his declaration. "Oh and I was trying to be modest by not calling myself the greatest, but then you place that big title on yourself." She gave him nice smile as she pulled her hoof away. "I be careful out there, other griffons are sure to come after that title, but i'm sure you can handle them with no problems."

  7. Rewatches the episode...

-Um, why the heck where SS and DT on the Apple's property with no supervision anyway?

-Love how when DT and SS fell off the train station a pig with a tiara came up along side Silver Spoon instead Diamond Tiara.

-Its official for me, Sweetie Belle's voice is the most adorable thing ever.

-Pinkie continues to break physics(PS, I don't believe that was her float, I just don't). How do you deny someone else the ability to break physics then do it yourself(Swatted away aroma trails from a floating Spike, just so that she could comical float towards the food.) Then she and a cow were eating the float, which was clearly made of wood on the inside. I don't think it was real lettuce until pinkie wanted to eat it.

  8. I'm not sure if this thread is dead or not. Total invited me to join, but it's been a while.

Although there is a Fallout Equestria general OOC on the forums, so you might be able to go there and see if you can get some interest in this again, or in a FoE RP in general.

Is this RP dead? Tis a shame... want to be a part of it...

I swear by the gods of old, of thy ask for the rebirth of mine thread, I will make it happen!

  9. >Kaalia and Karrthus (Equinia, LEH camp with Draco)

"No, nothing like that. Though something like that is definitely possible. These are just charged gems. Every dragon has an elemental affinity and an elemental weakness. The entire system is pretty much random so there is no way to predict it before the hatchling manifests its element." He said as he bit into a gem. "But, I have learned that if you charge a gem with elemental energies they taste amazing to dragons that share the gems element, but they taste like s--- to dragons who are weak against that element. So you should at least try them all, that way you know what hits you the hardest." His eyes narrowed as he stared the the fire enchanted gem, then he stared back up at Draco. "And before you ask, yes. A dragon can be weak against fire."

(OOC: but feel free to think of it as picking elements, that's basically what i'm trying to see here)

    ------------

    >Gilda and Quick Scope (Equinia, RLF camp)

Gilda smiled at the little filly. Inside she was glad that her actions helped the kid find her voice, even if it was only for a single word. Though she'd never say that out loud, she didn't want Baxter or the rest of the team to think that she was going soft or something. "You seem like a pretty cool kid Replica. I'll let you slid with the shy act because it suits you."

"I apologize Replica, I forgot how Tech felt about changelings. He doesn't have a very good track record with them." Quick Scope said kindly.

"No excuse, look at her, she is way too young to have had anything to do with what happened to him." Gilda had her fair share of hatred for the changelings, but her vengeance was focused and she only sought to settle her score with the insects on the battlefield. They had taken more than her wing, they took her pride, and she would fight their entire army to have it back. Gilda had her claws on Replica's back, while the griffon sank deeper into thought she began to methodically tap on the filly's chitin carapace. Her face folded up into a scowl, the quickly returned to normal. She stood up and stretched out her wings and popped her back.

"So QS, the heck are we suppose to do with her? I have absolutely no experience with entertaining twerps." she said playful.

  10. Hokay, long story short. We've had a PnP game and the DM has been AWOL for a long time. During a recent escapade to try and fill time while he's gone, we had the group amble around Tenpony Tower. Snowshoe offered to buy a round of drinks to celebrate a victorious battle. During this time, one round became multiple, she got into a drinking contest with a Dash-ite scientist, hit on our resident Unity-free alicorn (and offered to let the alicorn do body shots off her, seriously), then, in a drunken stupor, "invented" the trench coat.

See now I regret not being a part of that. I never have time to hang with the cool kids.
