Also, about my quotes: Yes, most of them ARE in fact from Doctor Who. I'd love to put up at least 20 more quotes I live by but, unfortunately, they are from good old George Carlin, and as such contain more expletives than the average human can handle. I suppose I can add one quote: "People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point."

I have a few. "Some people live more in twenty years than others do in eighty. It's not the time that matters, it's the person." "The way I see it, life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant." "The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you happen to be one of the facts that needs altering." “It is the job that is never started that takes longest to finish." "I'm old enough to know that a longer life isn't always a better one. In the end, you just get tired; tired of the struggle, tired of losing everyone that matters to you, tired of watching everything you love turn to dust. If you live long enough, Lazarus, the only certainty left is that you'll end up alone." "Courage isn't just a matter of not being frightened, you know. It's being afraid and doing what you have to do anyway." "As we learn about each other, so we learn about ourselves" "The universe is big, it's vast and complicated and... ridiculous, and sometimes, very rarely, impossible things just happen and we call them miracles." "The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways. The point, however, is to change it." "As long as I breathe I hope. As long as I breathe I shall fight for the future, that radiant future, in which man, strong and beautiful, will become master of the drifting stream of his history and will direct it towards the boundless horizons of beauty, joy and happiness!" "As long as I breathe I hope. As long as I breathe I shall fight for the future..." "Don't do stupid sh**" And finally, the one that affects me deeply most: "Those who smile most are those who have experienced the most pain."
  4. I know a lot of bronies known as Penumbra... I'm starting to get confused... D:
  5. Hello there! Is there treasure in this dungeon of yours?
  6. Good morning and welcome to Canterlot!
  7. The problem is nearly every scientific discovery ever was done on accident while researching something often completely unrelated. It seems to be how a lot of our discoveries happen- by accident. Trying to solve one issue will lead to us solving something completely different oftentimes. As for inhabitable worlds, there are a few theories on it (if we don't find any we can live on). Such as Greenhouses, altering the atmosphere, etc. Find a world at least remotely similar to ours and with a century or two you could make it at least some what inhabitable, in theory. A big problem I do have with our efforts to find life is how they go about it- they are viewing it from an entirely anthrocentric point of view (ie that life would be like us). As far as we know, whatever else is out there may not need even remotely close to what we need for survival (oxygen, water, etc.), the fact is we do not know. The universe we are in, we know very very little about it. Next to nothing, in comparison to its size (infinite).
  8. Well, populating space will be necessary within the next few centuries for a reason other than pollution (ie Overpopulation, we are having more babies than we have space for, and genocide tends not to be a viable option, so colonizing other worlds is the generally agreed-upon solution), and finding life in space is relating to this as we can only inhabit worlds that can support life which generally speaking would already have life in some form on them, but as for trash disposal, I don't see why we couldn't dump it into the sun. The only problem is we have no technology or material at this time (and we may never have this technology) capable of withstanding the intense temperature of the sun- we wouldn't even be able to get closer than Mercury without our equipment burning up. Now, anyone ever done some research into old Soviet Experiments? Those tend to be the most random, as well as the most hilarious, experiments. Behold the Soviet WWII secret weapon: THE PIG CANNON! YES, this video is comedic and not actually real, but the Soviets did do crazy stuff all the time. Like trying to dig to the center of the earth.
  9. I have to go with Discord, because he was the biggest threat to Equestria I feel. Also John De Lancie.
  10. Bah, my answer is too complex to be understood by this mere poll!
  11. Shame Ponibooru had to shut down. I myself rarely used it, but its always sad when a part of the fandom goes away. At least there's still derpibooru.
  12. If I did go to a convention, it would likely be Everfree NW, not BroNYcon.
  13. Ah, yes, that does help a bit. I'll either add some sort of effect on him (eg character development) from the tragedy, or remove it all together, give me a while to think on it.
  14. Looking back, you are correct. Well, I wasn't trying to make my character "tragic", per-say. I didn't want, and still don't want, for my character to be a stereotypical, always depressed, "tragic" character. Rather, I simply wanted to make the backstory a tad more interesting- I can revise it, if you wish.
  15. Marked as [FINAL]. Deciding to just go with it, seeing as I will never be perfectly satisfied with my own work.
  16. Pretty good. Trying to figure out how to add more to the character summary, to make my character a bit more unique.
