1. For the same moment, even Dark Star was surprised by the words he had just spoken... it seems that words seem to naturally flow from his muzzle on this particular night. Indeed, it is quite the turn in his emotional disposition... he goes from being on highly alert of a possibility of Oil Wells being dangerous, to suddenly spouting out words that shows his normally hidden caring nature... might it cost him dearly in the future? It's as if the words he'd just said had caused a major swing in mood, as he reminds himself of just the kind of life that he internally longs for... one where he needn't have a care in the world, so that he may find time to actually be friendly and care properly for those around him. Still, even the slight possibility of Oil Wells leading a better life is reassuring. No matter what, the truth in what Dark Star had said previously regarding the reasonable well being of others simply cannot be denied. As done previously, he listens closely to the words of the other. His story being strangely, even if slightly related to the night dweller's. Though, the one enormous and obvious difference between the two being the fact that one has achieved his purpose... the other having not, and most likely not anytime soon. He could not help but agree with the other pony regarding the others. With one final glance, he sighs in pity of the others in the distance... maybe something will happen to them that will cause them to finally and truly awaken, and cause them to get a move on with their lives, and fulfill their purpose in life. Even if it is unlikely, he'll place a great amount of hope on the matter, as he then watches as Oil Wells actually invites him along for a trot to wherever and whatever it is he wishes to show the dark one. With all that had been said, with the lightening of the mood before him... somehow he feels no longer a reason to distrust him. He takes yet another deep breath... finally rising from his seat. "Alright then, lead on Oil Wells."
2. I like Fireheart and all... but his recklessness bothers me. >.>

3. For the first time in the long time the dark one hadn't bothered to keep track of, his listener actually appears interested in whatever thoughts that may slip casually from his mind. Even if the opinion is negative, his constant look of listening is actually very reassuring. Then again, should this even be a surprise? Should this not be expected from a clearly sophisticated other? Not only is he too solid for him to pierce, but his words indicate as well the finely attuned intellect, a privilege that is hardly taken for granted by the other. Who knows? Perhaps out of the whole crowd of rich ponies... he just might be the only one even worth speaking with; about anything. He himself listens intently to the words that Oil Wells is kind enough to return. Not a single word had gone to waste, and very apparent experience is felt within every sentence gone by. Of course, who would know more about the internal design of the upper class than one of the members themselves? Though not many may have been able to respond as professionally as he does... for he seems to take no offense whatsoever to the utter negativity of his previous monologue. He too is a thinker... clearly even he has observed the environment before him, and unlike Dark Star's lack of experience in the particular social arena before them, Oil Wells seems very sure of himself; he knows what he is talking about... "It matters not, for I may not stick around long enough to even be taken note of. At least not until I earn what I need to get by. Still... the very idea of such disturbs me. I wonder then what it's worth to even be a part of the diverse picture of abused power and wealth. Though the way I see it, even though it is the individual that seems to be the problem, remember that everything has a purpose... without it, we would not exist; now with this in mind, think of the purpose that must be fulfilled by these others... if they simply disrespect the luxuries that are just handed to them, then you may as well kiss whatever company they represent, their family, the well earned prestige goodbye. Then comes the worst fear... perhaps these ponies are very well aware of the wrongs that they are guilty for, and may very well bring their own downfall... and it all comes down to a simple and possible idea that they simply could care less. As long as their pockets remain full to the brim, 'tis all that matters. They may never amount to their purpose at all, because everything was just given to them like you said. In this sense... we may have more in common than we might have realized. I know this much about myself... I was never born into greatness, nor do I to this day even desire it. My current strength did not just appear from thin air... I would not have traveled my number of miles because of a few tosses of coins. Still... no matter how far I've come, my own purpose remains as but a thick haze. My mark of definition on my flank only filling in a small space of the void of question. Some of these inquiries revolving around the baffling mystery that is my anger... a concentrated rage that seems to be meant for only the truly wicked... yet, with such a hate, never once have I ever raised my hooves toward those of the innocent, or at least, what my mind seems to label as innocent; those that I feel worth fighting for. My gaze that you saw a moment ago, would have never met the eyes of a young colt, nor an emotionally delicate filly... it's as if a voice in my head is telling me 'no'. With this, I decided to base my existence so far on such an idea. Tell me, Oil Wells... please, tell me it was easier for you." Dark Star suddenly requests of the other. Still... it should not be a requirement for others to be leading considerably better lives, but at the same time... no one should have to go through such hardships just to achieve their purpose. Should they? Surely he must have started on a better pace...
4. This may only be the beginning, everypony... take a look! It's my very first vlog! EVER! I hope you like it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCb7wtZwQ8g
5. If only I were older... ah well, we can't have everything we want. ^^

1. Tenkan

Tenkan

I always wanted to be a bowl of cereal.

My parents said no. :C

6. Oh wow... At least that was my second guess. In that case, forget I said anything... (<---- Isn't old enough. )
7. Incredibly... Oil Wells, a temporary newcomer to Dark Star's life, didn't turn away. Not once has he made an attempt to break off just yet... could it be his curiosity overcoming his fears, or could he really be without any effect at all just from a stare alone? Could he finally have found a material that could not be pierced as easily? Either way, he refuses to break the eye contact, though seeming that it is clearly futile to try and pierce the stranger, he retains only slightly the fierceness of his gaze, nor does he make any attempt to send the other away. Just from being unscathed, he earns at least some of Dark Star's respect. To remain within close proximity for even a few seconds takes quite some effort, it seems. If only they knew of his more welcoming side... The moment of absolute silence phases not even the slightest in the dark one. His urge to send him away not even occurring... for Oil Wells, one of the only ponies whom may very well earn a spot in the night dweller's long term memories, had lasted even a minute in Dark Star's presence. A minute that seemed to last a lifetime... for the moment at least, a conversation seems not to be the issue anymore, but the very idea of another making the effort to socialize at all... even he is surprised that the businesspony hadn't just turned and left after a moment of silence. Nevertheless, it seems to work out for the best, as the silence is finally broken... for once, bringing at least some light to the story of his life. "Indeed... it seems that we both are under the spell of curiosity." the night dweller begins. "Whatever it was that brought about your wonder, I'll leave that for you to decide. You're correct, I am not from here... in fact, I'm not even sure where I was before here. I've left my old life behind, and as a result, my memory of origin has been erased completely. All for the sake of searching for my purpose... but that's beside the point. My main reason for stepping hoof in here at all is simple... I too was curious. That of this town's ways. If I'm going to pay a visit, I may as well get to know the area at least a little. A rather strange turn, really... from moon gazing, to visiting what I believe would be considered a classy eating establishment. I shall return the favour of your honestly with simply this... I question practically everything about your kind. I see what could be more than a ton of mutual socializing, yet at the same time... I see the potential for everypony here to stab one another in the back, just to make a few bits. Then again, I'm not among those who seek wealth material-wise, so I may never understand... still, I don't think any amount of money could ever amount to the greater things in life, at least in the way I see it... but before I ramble any further, I'm feeling eager for your opinion after all I've said. Does that sound naive? Do I exaggerate so far? What say you, Mr. Oil Wells?"
8. So this thing already kicked off? I can't seem to find it in the RP list. >.>
9. This sounds like an awesome RP! Though, alas... I am without the talent to be able to take up the position of Twilight Sparkle. I'll gladly trot in as the 'night's darkest star' though. ^^ His characteristics just might be of some help to the cause of bringing peace. By the way... am I the only one who gets the reference in that video? Because I know exactly what that type of scene and song are all from. >.>
10. The mysterious pony scans the environment before him, first as a whole... then pin-pointing every detail of the crowd. From the outright snobby, to the graceful and elegant fragments of the great mosaic that makes up the social arena of this portion of Manehatten. Though the meal proportions are questionable... they must be so uptight about their figure, that just a few bites of them is enough... but how is that possible? Clearly strength is not their goal in life... such a shame. With every second going by... his temptation to challenge the whole through all out brute force strikes every corner of his mind. With all he sees... it just might be achievable, provided there's no secret guard around or anything similar to such. Still... with a quick glance behind him, and at his mane, it's as if these two features alone are what hold him back. As they remind him of the good old days... In an instant, his eyes shoot over to his side, eying the staff member approaching another lone pony he had failed to acknowledge, which he'll be sure never to do again. After their short conversation, he watches as the other approaches his table. What in Equestria would a pony of such a clearly high class want with someone black as night who looks like he just crawled out of a hay stack? His defense mechanism springs, and his caution of the other pony increases... assuming him to be quite the rungs upon the ladder of wealth. On natural instinct, Dark Star fires a sharp look toward the other, in attempt to pierce right through him with his gaze alone. A test it is, for the raw inner strength that the other could possibly possess. A well and lively greeting can come from anypony, but their intentions could easily be otherwise. Can he handle the darkness that he may just find himself in? Will all of the demonic realm break loose from this one meeting, or will the night's darkest star finally engage in a normal conversation like anyone else? "Charmed... do take a seat, would you kindly?" the dark stallion motions his approval for Oil Wells to take his seat, still on about his attempt to pierce right through him. If he can withstand the night dweller... then perhaps he is worth some of his time. "You may address me as Dark Star."
11. Another night that calls for yet another night's wander... as the ash grey cloaked night dweller unknown as Dark Star, the pitch black yet white maned stallion being dubbed with this name since his days of emotional reckoning could be seen as a tiny figure compared to the building in Manehatten that he'd chosen to climb. As an Earth Pony, he is denied the luxury of flight, and the convenience of magic. With this, he had only his raw strength as a traveler that could take him for nearly half a thousand miles in one monotonous walk. Though of course, 'tis only a hyperbole... a pony could only wish for such travel with ease of five hundred, let alone a thousand miles. Yet, his limits seem not to occur to him, as he continues to use various aspects of the building, window frames as hoof holds, poles if any for a boost in height. Before he knew it, he finds himself at the very top... his shaded eyes scouring the rooftops and streets below. His view panning upward... his eyes meeting with the brightest angle of the enormous sphere in the far distance... The moon, like any other night, is beautiful to him... just like the princess whom in which is responsible for its movement every night. A mare in which he has the utmost respect for... it's one of the reasons why he became a night dweller. Most ponies may not be outside at night when Luna shows the beauty in her magic, but that does not mean that Dark Star must be among such ponies... even if he is a minority. He pulls back the hood that conceals his eyes, a serious expression no longer sweeping his face... yet it still contains no smile. Just a simple trance-like stare at the moon as he expresses on the inside his deep appreciation for both the princess, and the moon that is her destined priority. It is then that he can't help but wonder... could he be the only one that does something like this? Save for the climbing bit? Just then, his means for coming back down to ground level in a swift manner catches the corner of his eye, as he sees a wagon delivery of quite a sizable hay stack... most likely the raw material used for foods like hay fries and other means of usage. Of course... hay also tends to be quite plushy, especially in a large bundle. The stallion carefully times that in which will be quite risky... though he must not wait much longer, for his means of a quick get-down are gone, and he'll have to resort to the longer process of carefully climbing back down. Such a waste of time is hardly worth it... In just an instant later of thought, after the black stallion raises the hood of his cloak once again, he finally attempts what could potentially be the ultimate leap of faith... his hooves springing his very being from the edge of the tall building. His body spread out as to reduce falling speed, but only somewhat. The speed in his fall causing him to associate such a powerful force behind him with the rage that drives him... for the most part. Speed and power is what sprawls from his anger, in this case, a power that will instantly kill him should he miss his target. He is almost tempted to scream... but his logical mind in the very least still remains... any sound from him and he might startle a few, if not many other ponies in town. As he nears the rear of the pony-driven wagon, he poses properly to brace for the upcoming impact. A sudden sound is heard... as the workers of the wagon are startled out of their skins at the sound of a sudden splash of hay. Some of the material meant to be delivered blowing through the wind as Dark Star's landing caused quite the stir in the hay stack. In an instant, the workers' heads snap around, scared for even their own lives as to what might have found its way into their assigned goods. Even worse, they find a strange pony simply leaping out of the side of the wagon unscathed, but still slightly shaken by the sudden stop in motion. He literally stumbles as his hooves touch ground, causing him to tumble over, but only for an extremely short period of time. After a shaking of Dark Star's head, he begins to recover his senses once more... not even acknowledging the other two workers that had witnessed his impact. Several bits of hay in fact cover his body, mostly his cloak; nevertheless, he decides to pay the inside of the building he was just atop of a short visit. Trotting casually inside, regardless of the bits and pieces of hay being blown by the wind, he pulls back once again the hood that conceals his sharp blue eyes. His white, somewhat messy mane and tail showing themselves with absolutely no shame. His cutie mark representing the darkness that practically scripts his entire body and destiny... a void filled with nothing less than that in which is bitter... at least, that's how he sees it so far. Like the previous pony to enter last, the black stallion also brings himself to yet another isolated area of tables. Of course, he could have resumed his stare out into the moonlit sky, but it seems his curiosity of the ways of Manehatten's urban fabled society claimed the better of him. Just what could be so great about it, anyway? Perhaps he'll find out on this very night... as he sits with a very obvious pondering disposition... not that he would expect anypony to be watching him either way; as he observes the social events string themselves out before his very eyes...
12. That....was....AMAZING!!!!!! <---- My reaction to season 3, episode 2. Lotsa asplosions. ^^

DarkStar

Scratch that... the asplosions part I'm almost certain is inaccurate. >.>

13. Do you think there's such a condition as athlete's HOOF? o.o
14. "But I won't cry for yesterday..."

15. Behold! The secret behind(nearly) all of my progress as a member of Canterlot! My base of operations... Honestly, I am quite satisfied as to how this photo turned out! Kudos to my father for allowing me to borrow the tripod mounted camera, as it helped quite a lot for the quality of this shot! I just love it! Within this photo is a hidden golf ball... can you find it? Fun fact: Beyond the right border of the photo... there was an unfortunate spider hanging by its web below the counter-top... I assume it lead a good life, and it now rests peacefully on the soils of nature. Safety and Peace, ye old arachnid... v.v I couldn't get the image any bigger. I tried copying and pasting and whatnot... but if you click on the image, it is MUCH bigger!
16. This was extremely helpful! With this, thankfully, comes new ideas. The emotionally traumatized part is actually what kept me at bay the most... simply because I had no idea of what should have happened to him that would cause such turmoil. Now that this has been made clear, I think I'll simply not include that at all. Though I do intend to pipe down on the more dark tid-bits about him. What I intended for him of course was to try and eliminate these things about him overtime. To the point where he shouldn't need to act all defensive anymore toward others. Though I guess if that were to be happening, Dark Star would be a permanent work in progress... but basically, my idea was to bring this character back from the depths of his own madness with the hopes that he'll soon find himself and stop dwelling in darkness. Sorry if that's confusing, I just like to talk in riddles sometimes. >.> After some soul searching for myself recently, I suddenly discovered why this character even exists in the first place. It's a manifestation of myself. It's probably silly to do something like this, since it is only a roleplay character. Still, I'm more than willing to make the necessary changes needed if I'm ever to involve this character in a world that contradicts all that I know about life. I'll definitely try my best to revise his characteristics, and hope that he turns out alright in the end. ^^
17. Hello once again everypony, Me again with a possibly silly question regarding the Mane RP and a character I have in mind even having any potential of being a part of it. As some of you may know, my main original character Dark Star, formerly known as Star Bright, is so far a plain science fiction bad boy. Of course, I'm abandoning that little bit about his tights, parachute, chain-gun, helmet, and whatnot. Through and all, I realized that the little bit about sci-fi is completely unnecessary as to what his purpose is. He is not meant to be some exterminator of dangerous extra-terrestrials... after all, there is no meaningful magic in death and destruction. Though that little bit on my character will be permanently abolished, I do want to keep at least some parts of him, and I was wondering if anything left about him at all would be applicable to the World of Equestria. Dark Star is not really like most ponies... then again, what pony is like most other ponies? Anyway, I meant that in the sense of emotional disposition and state of total imbalance(either it truly is an imbalance or I seem to be confused). The black as night stallion is quite the bundle of anger... one whom had gone through an emotionally traumatic experience(still not sure of what it should be), and it turned his whole ponysona upside down, changing his life dramatically. Whether it's for the better or worse, even I am unsure yet. To his modern day, I plan to make him a sort of wanderer of Equestria in his search for himself. Since his adolescence, he finds it very difficult to stay as a friend with someone else, thinking that the other pony somehow hates him, or if they don't at this very moment, then maybe Dark Star will wind up doing something to hurt them severely, to the point where they will dislike him for sure... and he feels insecure to the point where he feels it will inevitably happen at some point. Through his traveling, he of course has great limitations as an Earth Pony, and can't simply lift with telekinesis, or fly towards a summit. He learns how to climb and maneuver through his environment, and gains a decent amount in terms of strength. Though it is only physical strength... There is also the possibility of his colors going through a change. No, he is not a changeling, but his change in colors is supposed to represent the flip-flop of his lifetime. Since he was born, he had a brilliant white coat, with a black mane and tail. Since his traumatic experience, and through his shift from a bright and happy colt who got along with everypony to a rage filled, hateful and serious stallion with an ironically strong sense of justice... his fur coat turning black as night, and his mane and tail become as brilliantly white as his fur coat once was. The parts of him that are still white represent the inexplicably good nature that survives within him with a might that not even his evil side can conquer. This remaining good nature acts somewhat as a guide; a code of conduct. His conscience... it's the only thing that keeps him from destroying everything around him and causing others unimaginable pain and suffering because of his grown hate. My purpose for this pony is for him too to discover the wondrous magic that is friendship. Despite his strong will that comes from the strength he's gained, he still longs for that one, maybe several others that he could finally call his true friends. He is not just some cold, heartless individual that cares nothing for others. In fact, it is the exact opposite... whenever he witnesses the happenings of good friends laughing and playing together, it's one of the only things that brings a smile to his face. At least some others unlike himself have such a privilege, and he respects the bonds between friends like no other. With his strong sense of justice however, he often times will resort to threatening to do harm... whatever is necessary to drive bad ones away. Though of course, he plans not to become acquainted with those he manages to protect, no matter how much he wants to, for fear that he might cause them harm as well... because of his mysterious quirks, he is often quite the enigma in the social arena. With all of this explained... would some of these, if any of these traits be possible for the World of Equestria RP? I've been thinking for a while about applying him for it, but I didn't want to blindly head in without any sort of guidance...
18. InsanityDash... you will be missed. v.v

19. Oh gosh... 666 profile views. >.>

20. Naturally, I couldn't help but look at everyone else in wonder... they didn't know what rupees were? If anyone, I'm sure Twilight might have known a little bit about the Piconi's currency. I've grown accustomed to it, but could it be the immense luster of the purple gem? Perhaps they weren't expecting a difference in what is used to pay for things. Then again, how could they not?... Surprisingly enough, the mare-like Rarity looked like she was practically drooling for it... honestly, what is so special about a rupee? They're everywhere! Then, the sudden screams of a mare in the distance causes my head to snap toward the incoming sound's direction. It's not often I hear screams... but one of that magnitude mustn't be about anything good. In seconds, I spot the very thing in pursuit of yet another pegasus... the gigantic spider creature I've seen on more than one occasion. Dang pests... still, no matter how irritating, I can't just sit back and let somepony get hurt if I can help it! The terror must come to a stop... I know what I must do. For the sake of everyone in this town. Should I perish would be the difference between life and death. Reacting in an instant as the young mare seeks our protection, I poise myself carefully as I use an empty section of the table to spring myself forth into harm's way. Now standing in between the other mares, and the terror-bringing skulltula. An adult one to be specific... the massive spider closing its distance between us. Upon standing upright, I bring forth first my entrusted double-edged sword, then my shield covering my front, but still enough so that I may see what is in front of me. These creatures I have faced multiple times; though their weaknesses are clear as day, they are still formidable when they want to be. Staring into the eyes of the enormous arachnid, I make my slight charge straight for it... for the sake of everyone around me, I engage in my first small skirmish within Ponyville. The spider raises its body to try and overpower me, and pierce me with its sharp frontal fangs... moving my shield aside, and with my floating sword, I make a quick jab to its underside, dealing slight damage to it. Though the beast is quick to retaliate, going for a berserk charge toward me. My next move is risky... but the skulltula would move too quickly as well to keep it from happening. When charging, it leaves a gap between itself and the ground... a narrow one, but sufficient one, as I myself make a charge, and with it, drop to the ground. Swinging my backside forward and sliding beneath the enemy, and in the process, slicing a little at one of its back legs. I didn't think of having my sword upward at the time... hopefully that mistake will not cost me my life. The creature's back-most left leg is severed, and the spider stumbles. Now standing in between me and the others. It just might be an easy few kills for the skulltula already, yet it seems to have its sights locked on me... clearly in the knowing of my trying to exterminate it. That much intelligence is surprising, even for a wild bug... the said bug moves quickly once more, combining a berserk charge with a powerful downward attack. It's not one I can counter easily, so I have no choice but to let my shield guard me. Though the force behind this attack is greater than before, causing me to lose my footing... and I now find myself beneath the large body of my enemy. There's only one chance left for me now... if I act quick enough. The spider then goes for the final blow... the move that will decide my fate. Its head lowers, its fangs ready... and in the next instant, a piercing noise is heard, then... stillness, and silence...
21. (Do you mind paragraphs at all? ^^) Name: Dark Star() Gender: Stallion(male) Type: Earth Pony Main colour: Black as night Eyes(Just needed to add): Blue Bio: A troubled one... if only he were not subject to certain emotional traumas, he would even have kept his previous fur colour. In his past, he was a bright, happy pony. His fur coat once being a brilliant white, and a black mane and tail made quite the contrast. He got along with practically every pony he came across because he refused to cause anyone any harm whatsoever. Even in the past, he was very sentimental, and cared very deeply for those around him. Though, he had a bit of a difference with everypony when it came to his views of the two famous princesses. Before the Nightmare Moon crisis... even if Princess Luna had been sealed away to the Moon, Dark Star... or formerly known as Star Bright, even liked Luna as much as he did Celestia... but the other fillies and colts around him did not agree. They believed that Luna was evil, and for Star Bright to even side with Luna at all, they deemed him evil as well. Ever since they discovered his views, others treated him like a demon that should be banished as well... they would always tease him, and overall mentally abusing him. Then came the natural death of his two loving parents, as a grave illness swept their systems and handed them over to the clutches of death... an illness that Dark Star had been cursed to be immune to at the time. It didn't help with all the other ponies still traumatizing him... and one day, a sense of justice swept his state of mind. With this, he then struck back with all his might... he pounded a pony, one of those who deemed him evil, into the ground. It taught the others a lesson they would not soon forget... and after just one strike back, Star Bright gained his cutie mark... one that represents a lingering darkness in his heart. Soon, he found himself running away from home... he didn't want to be known anymore, didn't want to go through anymore pain that other ponies would inevitably cause him... nor does he want to hurt anypony else. As of this day, he is now a completely different pony. His coat turned pitch black, his mane and tail turned white... yet his blue eyes still remain. Of course, he would very much like to care for others like he did in his past... but now, he somewhat understands Nightmare Moon's pain. To be left out all because you were different in some way... with this in mind, he is now a wanderer of Equestria, hoping to find a hint of peace sometime during his life... Talents/Attributes: Incredible fury, a strength that comes from the dark abyss of his heart. A strong sense of justice, and more than willing to deal it. Often times he is angry or sad, or both. Can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. Often socially awkward, but has his moments. Age: 16 Cutie Mark: A black star outlined in gray.
22. I have been wondering the same myself... I'm not sure why there hasn't been a reply by any other participants. All I can think of now is either replacing the old participants with new ones(which hopefully doesn't become an inevitability), or somehow motivate the others. >.>
23. When in doubt, flip a coin.

24. How could I possibly resist the adorable eyes of our beloved Fluttershy? I'll tell you what, Wisp... with this roleplay, so long as you are fine with a crossover of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, then take a load off with the relief of being granted the position as the jittery and energetic bundle of, well, energy, Pinkamena Diane Pie! This will be thy opportunity to shine, as I leave you with the great and noble task of acting the role of the magnificent party pony, and possibly join forces with Link and fight off the evil that is the darkness that threatens to enshroud Equestria for eternity with the magic of friendship, and unmatched courage! No matter how big, no matter how scary... Pinkie will simply laugh in the face of death itself! So like, in other words... yeah, go ahead and be Pinkie if you want. I'll even update the first post! Do your best, man!
25. The very first Legend of Zelda game is very difficult. o.o
