1. (OOC: Alright, let's see how this goes... Hopefully I'm doing this right.) ...Ugh, alright. Let's get this over with... Static Arc had departed the train and onto the platform. He was in Canterlot, on a mission he didn't want to take in the first place. It had all started with Static's childhood. He had always been a quiet colt who never really had any friends. He always kept to himself at his house and never wanted to go outside. He had thought back that then, friends were only distractions in his life, and drove him away from what he really wanted. Static now had dismissed the thought when he grew up, of course, as he had tried time and time again to try making friends. Sometimes he would run away and tell himself that he would try again tommorrow, and sometimes his advances just didn't work out. His parents had become increasingly worried about his behaviour, and Static was curious as to why he acted like that. Nothing in his life had ever really drove him to start thinking like that, nothing that really stood out to him. A few days ago, after work, Static had gotten a visit from his parents, and asked him about his life, if he had any friends or any hobbies, or if he had a special somepony yet. To all of these questions, Static had told them that even though he tried, something prevented Static from going further, to pursue a friendship. He had told them that he sometimes twisted his thoughts, perceiving everything as negative, and ultimently abandoning to notion to befriend somepony. Static's parents were afraid of this, so they told him about a unicorn up in Canterlot, one that could read the thoughts and emotions of other ponies and solve their problems, sort of like a therapist or psychologist. They had booked an appointment with her in a couple of days, and wanted him to go. Static really didn't feel comfortable with the situation at the moment, not sure if anypony could really do that and help him. On the other hoof, he was really curious, and desperately wanted somepony to be friends with, something to do so he wasn't home all the time, or wandering Ponyville aimlessly for the rest of his life. Static Arc then agreed with his parents, telling them that he would try to get some help from the unicorn. A few days later, he kept his word and was now walking through the streets of Canterlot through many rich, high class ponies to his destination. Static couldn't help but feel a little nervous. Could this mare really help him discover what was holding him back from making friends, or why he always perceived everything to be negative? Static wasn't sure, but he had nopony else to turn to. He wanted to change, and hopefully this mare had the answers he was looking for. He entered the building he was directed to go to at this time. It was like he was at any normal clinic, and it reminded him when he went to the doctor's as a colt. There was a counter with what looked like the receptionist, and a few seats in the waiting area. It took a little self-encouragment to get himself to talk to the receptionist, but he eventually told him/her that he was here to see somepony named 'Heart Healer'. The receptionist told him that she was with another pony, and to wait in one of the chairs for her. Static thanked her, and propped himself onto the left-most chair, waiting patiently for this Heart Healer to take him in. Hopefully she was done soon, as he was bursting with curiousity, wondering as to how this mare could possibly help him. Well, I'll find out soon enough.
2. Alright, should be good to go. Ready for review.
3. It had taken Static Arc quite a long time to process what he just did. He laid there in a mess of carrots and broken wood, witnessing the orange-maned carrot seller crying over her own stall. Her pride, her work, her memories of the carrot stall destroyed around her. Static felt his heart hurt painfully and felt his own eyes well up in tears as he looked up at the broken mare. Why had he decided to this? What drove him to do something completely crazy, just to gather the attention of ponies around him, while not even thinking of the consequences? The mare who was talking to the carrot vendor ran up and started to comfort her, apologizing for Static's behaviour, which also made him feel even worse about himself. He couldn't even get up to say sorry, and was having another pony do it for him. Static started to bury his head in his hooves, still on top of wreckage, praying to Celestia that this was just a bad dream. He was now crying freely, horrified at what he did. Before Static knew it, he was yanked up by his tail in a wave of magic. He was propped upright by a unicorn with a blue coat, with a stern look on his face. It was the colt that was standing a ways away from the two mares. He had asked him if he was okay, but then scolded him for his actions and left to find something to clean up the mess. That was something of a wake-up call for the pegasus. If he wasn't just brought back to reality by the stallion, he might have just stayed there on the ground for the longest time. Now that Static was brought back to the present, he looked back to see the Earth Pony who was talking to the carrot salesmare walk over to where Static was standing. Static looked back to the orange-haired mare as she was holding a few bits on her hoof and a piece of paper. The money must be for repairs... but she needs more. She still needs some for more product. Oh Static, how did you get into all of this... The mare walked up to Static and asking if he was injured for the second time. At least Ponyville's residents were courteous to maniacs who ruin carrot stands. Static looked around his body for anything, and gasped at something he didn't ackknowledge in the beginning. He had a heavy gash on his back leg which he started to realise that it hurt pretty badly. He also had a few splinters on different parts of his body which stung with pain. Static needed to see a doctor about this, but he couldn't leave the mare with her destroyed stand by herslef. He would seem selfish if he left to fix his injuries now. Static decided to deal with it for now until he dealt with his mess. Static looked up to the mare, with a heavy heart for what he just did and dried tears on his face. He couldn't run away now. He could never run away from what he did. He had to fix things right now, because if he didn't, he could never forgive himself. "I...I'm fine, but... I am so sorry for what happened. I...I just wasn't thinking...I...excuse me." Static knew that he shouldn't be here, apologizing to the wrong pony. It was the salesmare he hurt, and he should be her he should be saying sorry to. Static walked past the mare with a wince and stumbled a bit as he bent his back leg, stretching the gash and shooting pain up his body. Static ignored it and stood next to the salespony. She obviously looked incredibly distressed over what happened, and Static couldnt just stand there. If he couldn't do anything for her stall, he didn't even want to think what she would do without a job for earning bits. "I...I know there isn't any words to justify what I did, and I can't stand by and watch your buisness crumble, so if there is anything I can do to help you, I will try my hardest to do just that. Look, I'll even start now!" Static then ran over to the broken mess with a small limp and started shifting broken, small pieces of wood that couldn't be used again into a pile, while sorting the larger pieces that could be reused to fix the stand again into another pile. All Static wanted to do was rewrite his act of selfishness, and make amends with the ponies he affected. The only way to do that though, is to start small and clear the pile of broken wood and spilled, mashed carrot treats. Static started to acknowledge his injuries more as he worked, wincing with pain from his gash and many splinters, but shrugged it off. He wasn't going to leave until he fixed this, and he was dead-set on that.
4. Cheery was feeling pretty good by the time she was done talking to the three parties. Razor, Astral's group and the sheriff's party were all interesting, friendly individuals that she felt lucky to have met. To her, that was just another joy of working at an ice cream shop. Cheery was back at her counter, working through her thoughts as she waited for either a new customer or for an old one to come up to her. Since she had the time, she thought back to her earlier conversations. First there was Razor, who had taken his ice cream curiously and carefully, checking out the textures before taking a bite out of frozen treat. He had complimented her ice cream on its flavour, to which Cheery had thanked him for his words and told him that when he was done and wanted to pay, or get more, or just to talk, to come get her at the counter when she wasn't busy. Then there was Astral, who had taken Cheery's request rather gratefully, obvious that she wanted to sort out the little outburst that Cheery had a while back. Astral even began to look a little happier when she had her spirits lifted by the soon-to-happen chat that the both of them were to have. After Astral had answered, Cheery gave her a friendly smile, and a knowing look, that said 'I know what's bothering you', before turning away and walking over to the final team of ponies. Cheery had walked over to the sheriff and his comrads, and used her normal customer approach, since she didn't have much time to chat with the new ponies and learn their stories. She had simply asked if they were ready to order, not sure what else to add, and apparently weren't ready to order yet, as the sheriff was still finishing his sample, and the rest were talking to Pound, Astral, and Razor. So, without much to do, and not wanting to call Astral over just yet as the sheriff's party might call Cheery during the meeting, Cheery decided to go through her ice cream stock, cleaning her messes from earlier, and washing herself clean from the leftover Mint Chocolate ice cream. When she had done all this, Cheery had walked back over to the front of her store, and laid her head on her counter, physically and mentally tired from the day so far. It was then when Cheery had started to think back to her day, thinking back to the friendships she made, before being interrupted by the burly lawpony, finally ready to order. Cheery lifted her head with a groan, brushing back her hair with one of her forelegs and called over the trio of ponies, struggling to keep a cheerful tone over her slightly strained one. "...And right when I thought I was getting a well-deserved nap...Ahem, I mean, I'm free right now, not doing anything right now since there's no line-up, so step right up and jump onto the Cheery Express! WHOO WHOO!...oh, that's means come up and order, just in case if you didn't know. Tee hee!" Cheery was now sporting another trademark grin, with half of her energy back and giggling at her behaviour and waited for the ponies to come up to the counter. I think it's time for another sales pitch. "So, hello, my name is Pleasant Flurries, but you can just call me Cheery. Just in case if you don't know, we, meaning me, sell a wide variety of ice cream flavours like Cherry Cheesecake, Toffee Explosion, and others, along with toppings such as chocolate sauce and gummy candy, and different cones for different ponies, for a very low price! In addition to ice cream, we, again, meaning me, also sell one-of-a-kind enchanted fans, made by yours truly, to survive the harsh hot weather of Appleloosa and its surrounding areas, only fifteen bits! Anyway, enough rambling, thank you for supporting 'Cheery's Ice Cream Emporium of Wonders and Fan Shop'! What can I get for you fine folks?"
5. Cheery had paid attention to Razor's simple order. A small bowl of ice cream with any flavour. At first, she was a little confused by why he rejected her flavour plan, but perhaps he didn't care about the flavour too much, considering he didn't even know what he wanted in the first place. At besides, it worked before with Astral and Pound Sterling when they ordered theirs, it should work for Razor! Cheery gave a little nod and jotted down something on her notebook. She then looked up and gave a little salute. "Of course my fine griffon! One bowl of ice cream with a flavour of my choosing, coming right up!" With speed and flair, Cheery made her way back into the kitchen and did what she does best. She whipped up a bowl and spoon, and dug around her freezer for the perfect flavour for Razor. As she was working away, she also realized she didn't give Razor her gifts from the first customer! Magicking up a spare miniature enchanted fan and a special coupon for her store, which was a 'buy one, get one free' kind of coupon, she made her way back to the front in record time. Cheery laid down all of her items down on Razor's side of the table, and smiled at him. He was kind of cute, for a griffon. Wait, why did I think that!? Ugh, must be getting tired already, I can't think straight I guess. "Alright, Razor, here is what you asked for. A small bowl of Apple Pie ice cream! Oh, and I forgot to give you you're other prizes for being first in line! A miniature high-powered fan for those summer days, and a coupon for a 'buy one get one free' deal! I really hope you enjoy, and when your ready to pay, just come get me. Hope you have a Cheery day, Razor!" She gave a small bow and giggled. She just loved her job. She couldn't wait to see the look on Razor's face after trying her highly acclaimed Apple Pie flavoured ice cream! That was the joy of serving ice cream, you can't wait to see the faces of the ponies who receive them! Cheery realized that she still needed to talk to Astral about everything that happened before. She still looked rather sad as she snacked on her ice cream cone. Deciding to kill two birds with one stone, she walked over to Astral's side of the table and looked down on her with a sad smile. "Hey, Astral. Umm, when both of us have some free time, do you mind meeting me in the back behind the counter? I just want to talk for a bit, if you don't mind." After getting a response from Astral, Cheery turned back around and noticed the new three ponies, still chatting away. She decided to see if they were ready to order yet. She walked over and couldn't help but shake the hoof of Sherrif Silverstar's hoof with a wide grin. And just because she didn't give the other ponies as much love as she gave the lawpony, she walked over and gave heavy hug to the red maned unicorn and the pegasus mare. Always make the customers feel safe and relaxed! "So, I see that someponies have a little ice cream craving! Ready to order yet, guys? Or would you like to continue talking to these fine folks over here?"
6. Cheery was delighted that the sheriff liked her ice cream on his first taste! She had to contain her excitement though, she didn't want to do something that would get her kicked out of town or anything. So she tried to keep her normally bubbly attitude down just a tad, so she doesn't scare off the lawpony. Noticing that the new trio was busy chatting with Astral, Pound and Razor, Cheery walked back to her counter, momentarily forgetting about talking to Astral and just watched them converse with each other. When they were ready to order, they would come up and just ask. No problem there. Letting her mind drift off momentarily, Cheery then noticed Razor at the counter, checking out her price sheet. Perhaps he was ready to order after enjoying his sample. Or mabye he just wanted to talk? Only one way to find out! "Hey there Razor, quite a crowd in here, huh? I never would have thought the sheriff would want to deal with something as minor as an ice cream parlor. What do you think about him? He seem alright to you?" Cheery had noticed Razor's reactions to the new ponies, so perhaps she might delve into that a bit more. She really did want to speak more to the interesting griffon, but first, she had ice cream to sell. "Anyway, you seem like you could do with another serving of Cheery Brand ice cream and magical fans! So, what can I get for you? I have waffle cones, normal cones, double and triple scoop combos a wide assortment of toppings like candy, syrup, chocolate and more, an even wider stock of ice cream flavours, magical fans to keep you cool through warm weather, and so much more! Just say the word and I can get you anything you want! ANYTHING." And just to put emphasis on the word, she batted her eyelashes a bit. It was always so fun to put emphasis on stuff! Anyway, Cheery then picked up a notepad from underneath her counter with her magic and readied herself for Razor's order. I mean, a griffon who's never had ice cream before has to buy a lifetimes worth if he wants to catch up! But if he doesn't know what kinds of ice cream to buy, that might be a little problem. That's why Cheery was here, to make everything so much easier! "Now I see as your not as much of a frozen treat connoisseur like me, you probably don't even know WHAT to buy. So in order to make this easier on you, tell me what your favourite dessert is. It could be a type of cookie, or donut, or anything sweet! Chances are that I have something similar to what you told me in stock! Sound like a plan?"
7. Yes, I'm still editing him, but i've been busy so I don't have a lot of time to work on him. I have a good idea about his personality and history, just have to expand it a bit. I'll change the tag when I'm sure he's good to go. Shouldn't be too long.
8. Seems kind of quiet. Never really had a day like this before. Oh well, I can just relax for a bit. Cheery was watching her customers for a bit while at her counter. She was watching her new friend Razor sitting with his finished ice cream sample, chatting awkwardly with both Astral and the other griffin. The new griffon was happily eating his ice cream with, commenting on how good Cheery's ice cream was, which made her feel a lot better. Her ice cream was always her pride and joy, and seeing somepony happy with it made her happy, and made her more confident. Then there was Astral Romance. Even though she really didn't want to think back to her embarrasing out bursts with Astral, she couldn't help but notice that the unicorn mare was... sad. And even Cheery knew that it was because of her and how she acted. She really didn't want to see her like this, after all, her special talent was making ponies happy! Deciding on the obvious fact that Cheery needed to talk to her about this, Cheery started to get up off one of her chairs to go talk to Astral. But before she knew it, at the exact worst time, the griffin that she didn't know the name to came up to the counter, going on about the ice cream that she gave him. Now, she liked praise as much as the next unicorn, but right now she had a job to do, and that is talking to Astral. "Well, umm, you see, I'm really glad that you love my ice cream Pound(Pound Sterling! That's his name!), and I would be honoured to show you how I make my ice cream, but I really need to speak to As-" And wouldn't you know it, at this moment, three new customers show up at the door. Perfect! Just what she needed! I guess I'll have to save it for when i'm done with these three. One was a pegasus mare, who came through the door first, followed by a red maned unicorn with a burly mustache, and the sheriff of Appleloosa!? Cheery was perked up right again when the lawpony showed up at the door. She never really spoke to him before when she moved in to Appleloosa, but no time is like the present, I guess! It was a complete surprise and honour to see the sheriff actually wanting some ice cream, so she wasted no time in giving a good first impression. Forgetting all about Pound and Astral, Cheery ran up straight to the trio, who was over by the tables talking to Astral and Razor. Right away she walked up to the sheriff and shook his hoof, smiling like a schoolfilly. "Oh my gosh, I really can't believe this! H-Hi, I'm honoured to have our esteemed sheriff come to my ice cream shop! Umm, I'm Cheery, and... *gasp* wait right here!" Cheery sped into the back once more, wanting to give a good impression to the lawpony. Cheery ran right back out in less than a minute, covered in green coloured ice cream and holding up a simple Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream cone in her magic. "H-Here! Free sample! Only for the best!"
9. Cheery couldn't be happier to see Razor at the gem expedition sign-up, and to be joining in the fun! Cheery had held a huge grin on her face while Razor told her why he was there. Well... at least she tried to, but she normally tends to forget key points in conversations. Like, for example, 'possibly hostile terrain' just flew right by her. I mean, what danger is there for just silly old gem hunt out in a harmless desert? Even though she was kept in a relatively safe place like Canterlot and didn't know a lot about Appleloosa's outskirts, she was sure of the limited amount of 'hostile terrain'. "Oh yes, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to get out for a bit and join in a friendly gem hunt! This will be so much fun, are you excited as I am, Razor? This will be great! And it will give us a chance to be the best of friends!" Before Cheery could continue with her high powered conversation with the griffin, the registration pony spoke up. Completely forgetting about him, Cheery ran over and shook the older ponies hoof, swinging it up and down at a comically high speed. "Oh, I'm so sorry to not take notice of you before and introduce myself! How unlike me! Well anyway, my name is Pleasant Flurries, but you can just call me Cheery! What's your name? I'm just dying to know!" Cheery then batted her eyelashes a bit, for no real good reason. Perhaps she did it to be more friendly? Anyway, Cheery let go of the registration pony's hoof and levitated the sign up sheet and a quill with her magic. "Oh, and let's not forget about this! Hmm, should I put my whole name down or just my first name? Or mabye my nickname only? Or mabye just a Miss Flurries will do..." Cheery looked at the registration pony, unsure of what to put down as her name. Doesn't hurt to make sure she's doing it right, right? After all, her mother always told her to ask questions so she knows the answers for later!
10. Pleasant 'Cheery' Flurries could be conisdered a very hard working mare, because every day she would get up with a smile and work at her ice cream shop. Now, that was fine and all, but sometimes a pony could use a little... change in their life. Mabye some... adventure. That's when Cheery found out about the Celestial Gems from one of her customers, and since she was relatively new to the small town, she never knew about these jewels and the expeditions that were had to mine them. She was also told where to sign up for this expedition. Thinking it would be a nice change of pace from her daily life, and it might also be really fun, the next day she threw on her saddle bags, packed a few water canteens and apples, and made her way towards the building that she was told to go to. Cheery made her way up to the wooden building, recalling that she had passed this building many times, but never bothered to check inside. Quite a nice little building, if you ask me! Wonder who I have to talk to to sign up. Oh well, I'll figure it out somehow. Cheery walked up to the building and opened the door, which squeaked slightly as she passed through. She looked on and saw a gruff, older pony up at a counter right next to what seemed to be a griffin. Getting a better look at the two characters, she remembered seeing the griffin somewhere before... Wait, is that really...? Right away Cheery recognized the griffin named Razor, who she met one time in her quaint little ice cream store one time. She became incredibly excited to see one of her customers here of all places, going on a gem hunt with her! Before she could stop herself, she ran up to Razor and gave him one of her signature hugs with a huge grin on her face. "Oh my gosh, hi again Razor! Remember me? You came to my ice cream shop before! I can't believe this, one of my super best friends are here to go on this fun gem hunt! Oh, we have so much to catch up on!" Cheery than removed herself from Razor, blushing a bit. She remembered from past experiences that the griffin didn't like to be hugged. "Oops, sorry about that. Forgot you didn't like that. I'm just soooo happy to see you! Anyway, what are you doing here? Did you here about this fun gem hunt too?" Cheery was so caught up with seeing one of her customers, that she completely forgot about the other pony, waiting for them to sign up for the gem expedition so he could get on with his day.
11. Alright, girl. You need to get a grip! You can't go ahead and cry in front of the customers! Now, just get their order and come out like nothing was wrong. Easy! Cheery was in the kitchen, giving herself a small pep talk. These ponies wanted some ice cream, and she wasn't going to cry or do anything rash right now. All she needed to do was get their treat, get paid, and get over herself. She could always go and hop on the train back to Canterlot, what was the big deal? When her time allowed it, that is... Cheery had been in the back for a good twenty minutes, sorting her thoughts out and going about with a cloth under her magic, cleaning areas that were not dirty. After she felt good enough to start with Astral's order, and started going through her stock of ice cream. Now, what did they want? Two waffle cones... double scoops... but what else? Her mind had been preoccupied with her thoughts about Canterlot for so long, that she completely forgot about the order. Cheery wracked her brain for what Astral said to her. Now, Cheery could have easily gone back out and asked Astral for the order again, but in Cheery's mind, she really didn't want to something so... unprofessional right now. Especially right after her little breakdown. Well, since my ice cream is so so good, I'm pretty sure they'll be fine with anything, right? Umm, yeah. Just keep up the self-esteem and everything will be good. So, that's what Cheery did. Grabbing some random tubs of ice cream, scooping a different flavour into each waffle cone. She then decided to add some flair and drizzled strawberry syrup on one, and caramel on the other. Wrapping the two of them in a napkin so they wouldn't drip all over, Cheery took a deep breath and carried them out back into the front, where Razor, Astral and the other griffin that Cheery forgot the name to, chatting away. Alright, just play it cool. Pretend nothing was wrong and they will think the same. "Hello there! Super sorry to keep you waiting, but your order is finally ready to go!" Cheery held up the one with strawberry syrup with her magic, giving it a once over just to make sure she knew which flavours she used. "This one his one scoop of Blueberry Muffin flavoured ice cream, with another scoop of... umm, Banana Parfait drizzled in strawberry syrup!" Cheery then lowered the first ice cream, and then raised the caramel syrup one. "This one has a scoop of Hot Chocolate With Marshmallows and a scoop of Triple Fudge Delight with caramel sauce. I really hope you enjoy, and when you're done, just come up to the counter to pay. Have a Cheery day!" Cheery then handed over the strawberry syrup one over to Astral and the caramel towards the griffin she didn't know the name to. She hoped they would like them, considering that she forgot their order. But now wasn't the time to panic, she just had to sit back and pray to Celestia that they would like them and they wouldn't be angry at her service. With that, Cheery started trotting back to her place back behind the counter, wiping her hoof across her forehead and sighed. Alright, now all I have to do is wait. I did good though. I kept my cool and pretended nothing happened and held a smile. I should be happy about the outcome! But then again, why do I feel so empty inside?
12. Cheery was always a happy pony. Sometimes she liked to show off her happiness in really bizarre ways. Like now, for example. The mention of Canterlot always drove Cheery happy, because of all the nice memories she had there. So when Astral told Cheery that she was born in Canterlot, the thought of having a pony from the same city made her think she had somepony to talk to about it, and share experiences there. And most of all, to hear just the general well-being of the city, since it had been quite a while since she had been there. When Astral told Cheery that she didn't live there long, as she left when she was a filly, kind of brought Cheery down a notch. She was so excited, but now that it was false, kind of made Cheery feel a little...homesick. She was brought right back to what she was doing in the first place, and forgot all about the conversation and Razor and Astral, and only thought of her work in Appleloosa in order to cope with her emotions. She immediately let go of Astral and thought of her home. Her training. Her job. Canterlot. Suddenly, she started bowing her head, rambling on about how unprofessional she acted. She even started to tear up a little as she apologized to the unicorn mare. "I'm so-so-so sorry! I just invaded your space like that, an-and it was completely uncalled for! I just wanted to make my customers comfortable, but it w-wasn't protocol!" And then she remembered what Astral was doing there in the first place. She was a customer, of course! And she kept her for so long without her order, how silly of her to break protocol like that! She was taught to always treat your customers with respect back in... Canterlot... "O-Oh, and sorry for keeping your order waiting! I-I just got so caught up in our conversation! J-Just give me a jiffy and I'll bring your ice cream faster than you can say 'g-great service!'" Cheery than rushed into the back without another word. A good ear could almost make out a sniffle coming from the ice cream store owner.
13. Cheery was glad to hear that Astral liked her story. It was a story that she felt happy sharing with anypony willing to hear. Perhaps she should ask about her childhood, and how she got her Cutie Mark. It looked pretty cool, if you asked Cheery. "Aww, thanks for the compliment! I love sharing my stories with ponies. Perhaps one day, I can inspire a small foal with it one day, and mabye pass on my friendliness with them!" Cheery became even more surprised to hear that Astral was quite the ice cream connoisseur. Cheery instantly lit up, and became a little less subdued than she was before. The next thing that Cheery said really got her even more excited. She heard that Astral was born in Canterlot! That's where she was raised! Shame that she now lived in Manehattan though, she was hoping to get some news on how Canterlot was holding up. Nevertheless, Cheery felt really connected to this unicorn, she had to know more. Astral was still speaking with Cheery hardly paying attention to what she was saying. She let the mare speak though, it was rude to interrupt a pony when they were talking. At least she caught words like 'Stalliongrad' (which made her even more happy(if that was possible)), 'concert' (did she sing? well, it did show that on her flank, so it was obvious), and 'Pound' (the griffin's name?). She really wanted to pay more attention though, but the fact that a fellow Canterlot citizen was here really made her less calm, and more like her crazy side, only focusing on that one point. After Astral was done speaking, Cheery let her silly side come out and proceeded to wrap the mare in a squeeze hug with a huge grin on her face. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe this! I was born and raised in Canterlot! I can't believe this, oh, and you're a unicorn too! Did you go to a magic school? Which one did you go to, we might have been in the same one! Oh, we have soooo much to talk about!" Cheery continued to hold her in a choke hold, overcome with happiness and caught up in her 'Cheery Charm'.
14. It seemed like only the unicorn was coming up for the order. Cheery had to wonder about her two new customers, were they together as a group? They didn't really seem like they would be friends or otherwise. Once the unicorn had ordered, Cheery held a grin on her face and responded cheerfully. "I know what you mean about those waffle cones! An ice cream cone isn't one without that crunchy, waffley goodness! But I still sell normal cones, for the little ones!" Cheery giggled to herself, licking her lips at the thought of her delicious waffle cones. She now had a craving for her own ice cream now, but she had to save her hunger for after hours. She didn't want to eat up her sales, especially after last time she had an ice cream craving inside her own store. "Anywho, it's nice to meet you, Astral! Can I call you Astral? I like to have a more personal relationship with my customers. Anyway, my name is Pleasant Flurries, but I'd rather go by Cheery. Are you sure you don't have a specific flavour you want? Anything you ask for, I probably have it in stock. I have pretty much every basic flavour you could think of, with my own special Cheery spin on it." Cheery was surprised to see that she didn't seem as posh as she thought. She guessed that Astral would be more snooty and uptight, but she almost seemed like the complete opposite, almost a little like her! When Astral spook again and asked about Cheery's motives for the store and choice of fans, she gave a short laugh and rolled her eyes. If she had a bit for every time she was asked about her bizarre product choice, she would probably be pretty close to buying the lot of Canterlot. Better explain the gist of it. "Ah, if I had a bit for every time somepony said that... The reason for all of this all came from my childhood in Canterlot. I was always a happy filly, always wanting to give ponies a brighter day with my personality. After a fateful day at the local ice cream shop, I noticed how happy ponies were to recieve ice cream by friendly ponies, so I decided that's how I would continue to spread my cheerfulness, and that was when this appeared." Cheery turned around to give Astral a good look at her flank, where her Cutie Mark had decided to call home. "I worked at that same ice cream shop for many years until I heard about the recent construction of Appleloosa, where an ice cream store was sure to benefit the worn out ponies who work at the apple orchards. So I packed up, and moved out here to make a buisness. Oh, and the reason for selling fans is more of a 'permanent' way to spread my friendly nature. It also helps out the hard working ponies out on a hot day. I even built and enchanted the fans to give a cooler blast of air to counter the dry, warm air of Appleloosa. Would you like one? You don't look like you're from here, but a nice souvenir to take back home might be good." "Speaking of locations, where are you from? I havn't seen you or the griffin around here. Are you visiting, or are you here on your job? It's always neat to hear different stories from different ponies."
15. Cheery could only smirk at Razor's claim to his speed. She had an inkling that he was only just stretching his ego a bit, but she was curious to see how fast the griffin could go. She also admired his slightly poetic claim to flying, she could completely agree with his words. Cheery knew that it came from the heart. After offering him to stay after she served the two new guests, she could sense Razor tense up when he turned around to look at the new arrivals. Mabye he was shy? Or perhaps a childhood incident that made him wary of strangers? Was it only his kind he was afraid of, or was it only to general presence? Cheery gave herself a mental note to go in that a bit more with Razor when she had time to spare. After noticing the new customers, Razor then without acknowledging Cheery's offer, flew over to one of the further booths, chewing warily on his treat. I guess that means yes. Interesting. Very interesting. I have to chat more with this Razor after this. Tearing her gaze away from Razor, Cheery then remembered here place, and realized that she had two new customers waiting for some frozen treats or fans. And speaking of fans, she completely forgot about the free one she was supposed to give to Razor. Oh well, better just wait on that. Cheery stashed the fan and her other gift under her counter, ran into the back and made sure everything was ready to go, cleaned herself up a bit, and ran back out. It was go time. Well, time to turn on the old Cheery Charm once more and get my sale on. Cheery saw the new griffin walk over to Razor, and they started chatting. The slightly posh looking unicorn was sitting in a seperate table. She should probably let them know she was ready. "Alrighty then, I'm all set to take the next customer! Just come talk to me and I will be more than glad to take your order!"
16. Cheery continued to listen to Razor talk about his life, where he lived and his job. She learned that he had his own delivery service, delivering whatever his clients gave him, visiting everywhere in Equestria and beyond. Cheery always wanted to go out travelling the world, seeing all the wonderous sights of Equestria. Razor was pretty lucky to be able to fly and have this job, in Cheery's own opinion. "That's really neat, I'm really jealous you get to travel the world like this. It was always a small dream of mine, but my ice cream shop and making ponies happy here is a bigger dream of mine. Ooh, and I like the slogan too. Are you really that fast? I've always wanted to fly. Even though I don't have wings or anything..." When in response to Cheery's generous offer of ice cream, she noticed that Razor had a slight edge to him after she mentioned friends. He whispered something Cheery couldn't catch, but noticed his slighty aggresive disposition, how he growled before finishing his ice cream sample. This saddened Cheery a bit. She was no therapist, but she could tell that her mention of friends tipped him off. Before Cheery could voice her concern over the suddenly distraught griffin, she heard the tiny sound of bells ringing. She looked up in time to see a unicorn mare with a sort of high-society air about her. Mabye she was from Canterlot? She was curious of this mare, and of learning what had become of Canterlot since she left for Appleloosa. After all, she was born from there. She also came along with what seemed to be another griffin! She really was attracting a lot of odd creatures today. At least she was glad she had some more company. Today was an unusually slow day. Oh well, she always liked a bit of chit-chat. Cheery gave a little wave to the two customers, calling them from across the room over Razor's shoulder. "Hello there! Welcome to Cheery's Ice Cream Emporium and Fan Store! I'm with another customer at the moment, but if you sit tight for a teeny bit longer, I'll be ready to take your order! Luckily it isn't a crowded day, huh? I guess nopony feels like ice cream or super powered fans today." Cheery giggled to herself a little, and turned back to her main concern. Now, she really liked the griffin, and seemed to be a lonely sort of guy how just needed a friend. She wanted to talk to him a bit more, but she now had two waiting customers to serve. She really didn't want to turn him away after their talk... "Hey, umm, Razor? I really find you quite interesting, and wouldn't mind talking to you a bit more. I have to take these customers orders though, I don't want to keep them waiting. If you want to talk more after I'm done, you could take a seat over by one of the tables. You seem like you need a friend, and I think I could help you in that department. But if you don't want to, I completely understand. I'm not forcing you." Cheery then gave a little wink, and gave Razor a reasurring smile. Cheery could never have too many friends, especially ones as interesting as Razor.
17. Cheery was listening attentively while hearing the griffin's tale. She wanted to cut the ultra friendly act a bit short, because she always liked hearing the many stories of the customers. It was a nice change of pace for her. She also didn't seem to notice Razor seize up when she hugged him. Nothing she should pry into, it wasn't her buisness and she was all about being polite to customers. So apparently this guy Razor lives in a place called Aquellia. Never heard of the place, but probably because I didn't do so well in Geography back in school. Razor also delivers packages of some sort and was just outside of my story by coincidence after making a delivery. Quite different from what I thought at first. "Hmm, so you deliver packages from this Aquellia place. What kind of things do you deliver, like letters and such?" Cheery also thought that Aquellia not having the wonderous delight that was ice cream was a little silly. Mabye he was a little like a grump because he never enjoyed ice cream as a kid. Or foal. Or whatever a baby griffin is called. "It's also a little sad to hear you never tried ice cream before. Having ice cream as a child really brings out your positive side, you know. Visiting my first ice cream store taught me that, and it gave me my Cutie Mark." Cheery pointed over to her flank, showing off her Cutie Mark to Razor, just in case he didn't see it before and as a visual aide. "Mabye, if you want, I could give you some more of my ice cream for your friends back in Aquellia so they can experience it. And mabye some for the kids so they could try. Ice cream can always bring smiles and good memories." One of Cheery's good traits and motives were always to make people have better days, to bring smiles and good feelings with her attitude and ice cream. Hopefully she could at least try to do the same for the griffins of Aquellia.
18. Roleplay Type:World of Equestria Name:Fine Print Sex:Male Age:Stallion Species:Earth Pony Eye colour:Dark Green Coat: He was a grey coat colour with no other marks. Mane/Tail:Brown colour for both mane and tail, both are kept reasonably short and Fine Print likes to keep it well groomed. Physique:Somewhat thin and a little shorter than the average stallion. Other: Has a pair of square-rimmed glasses that he wears at all times, sometimes likes to visit towns and cities around Equestria for ideas for his books via train. Residence:Born and raised in Manehatten. Lives in a moderately sized house in the slightly lower class area of the city. Occupation:An author who writes mystery novels, he makes through with his book sales. As selling his books don't help put food on the table, he also works as a waiter at a somewhat fancy restaurant called Manehattan's Finest. Cutie Mark:An open book with a red cover, facing up, with a magnifying glass on the right side page. This explains his affinity for writing mystery books. This could also classify him as an 'open book', as he can be a mystery himself. His cutie mark was earned in a simplistic way, but Fine Print was always proud of the moment. He was a young colt back in school, one who had a few friends to hang out with, but never one for personal hobbies to keep him occupied. Fine Print had come across a poster on the school wall. It had told him about a writing competition at school. The participants had to write a simple short story about anything, and hand in in their teacher. The winner then would be announced, and prizes were awarded. Now, he wasn't really one for doing work at school, but he suddenly felt a spark of interest. His friends had always told him that he had a vivid imagination, and he really didn't have much to do anyway. The winner would get a few bits as a prize and some grades, but Fine Print didn't care too much about that. All he really thought of it was a way to pass the time. He spent a good chunk of time up in his room back at his house, thinking up ideas the entire night, throwing away paper after paper, none of his ideas working. It was time for dinner, and Fine Print was once again alone for dinner because his parents were busy again. Fine Print then noticed a newspaper on the table while he ate. He never really bothered to read the news, but the article caught his attention. It had explained about a theft from a museum in Fillydelphia, and that the pony was never caught. After reading this, Fine Print's mind started going, forming a plan in his head. He then ran from the table, forgetting about his dinner, and rushed up to his room and started writing again. He had thought about writing from the newspaper about the robbery, and adding a detective to solve the crime and other things Fine Print made up himself. When it was time for school again, Fine Print submitted his paper with a look of surprise on his teachers face. To even more surprise, he was chosen as the winner, won the bits and extra grades, but turned down the bits, saying the he didn't need it and to give it away to somepony who needed it more. It was then that he finally earned his Cutie Mark after discovering his passion for writing mystery novels. History: Fine Print grew up in the city of Manehatten, under the extreme wealth of his family. His father worked as an accomplished artist, making sculptures that sold for hundreds of bits, while his mother was in a musician in an orchestra, gaining her wealth and fame that way. Fine Print and his parents both lived in a prestegious mansion, with butlers catering to their every will. Fine Print was never used to the high life that he lived, and was normally only taken care of by butlers and sitters while his parents were too busy to care about their only son. Because of this, Fine Print never had a real connection with any of his parents, and his only friend was one of the butlers of the mansion, whom he treated like a second father. During his time in school in Manehatten, he kept a few close friends, but could never do well in school. He found school pointless and a waste of his time, not thinking he needed to learn anything taught to him. This kind of thinking stemmed from his parent's neglect, as they were to busy to help him understand the importance of school. This continued on for a while until Fine Prints final days in school. He still considered school a waste of time, but managed to hold his grades high enough to pass high school. Fine Print then took a simple job at Manehattan's Finest, a three star restaurant as a buscolt, and moved out of his parent's mansion into a beaten down apartment room, sick of the high society, neglect, and constant snootyness of famous and rich ponies. He didn't care if he had to live a lower, more degrading life in the poor part of Manehatten, but it was much better than his life in constant high class. Now, despite Fine Print's decidedly lazy and sarcastic nature, he was also known for his creative and imaginative mind. He was also fond of reading mystery novels as a young colt and earned his cutie mark writing one, as he often spending most of his time in class writing small stories to pass the time. He used his knowledge and skill in writing and tried to write his own books for more money to spend, and because of his experience in the trade. After publishing his first mystery book of a series he was planning, titled "The Oddities of Hoof Print", it was surprisingly a huge hit, and hundreds of copies were bought from various book stores across Equestria. He had also kept his part-time job at the restaurant and is now working as a waiter, using his money to purchase a well-kept house in Manehattan, albeit still in the poor side of the city. He never wanted to be a part of the high class ever again. Fine Print so far wants to live a free, laid back life, and to continue with his passion of writing books and getting good feedback that makes him feel ultimately good about him self and drives him to write more, and to hopefully get promoted at his restaurant. He soon hopes to open a book store one day when he gets the money, but so far likes how things are as of now. Character Summary: Fine Print is a more serious pony, and gets to the point without running around it. He has more of a 'get the job done and get out' sort of attitude, and would rather not go out of his way for something. He can be polite when he can and have good manners, but can be rather cold and distant when he is pulled away from his objective to do something else. This is especially prevalent when talking to anypony who has an air of snootyness, or somepony who looks rich or famous, as it reminds him of his parents. He also dislikes tomatoes, heights, and has a small fear of the opposite sex. He enjoys relaxing at the oddest times, and enjoys the company of others when he wants it. If talking to anypony isn't on his mind, he's dead set on that and will focus on the task at hoof. He can also be a bit crafty due to his knowledge of mystery novels, thinking outside the box and thinking through every outcome of a situation before coming to a conclusion. Sometimes this can also lead to pointing hooves, judging other ponies too quickly. Fine Print enjoys what he does, writing books along with spending time under the stars in Manehatten. He also enjoys coffee, sleep, and spending time with friends, and his guilty pleasure is cupcakes. He also has a real knack for mouth writing, skillfully writing sentences across paper without smudging or drooling all over the place. His fears consist of writing a bad book and getting bad sales, losing his glasses and heights. He also has a slight fear of snobby, high-class ponies, though he can handle their company well. They remind him of his parents.
19. Cheery was ecstatic that the griffin took the bowl of ice cream, yet very nervous, as she cared about how he thought about her ice cream, as she did with all of her customers. She wanted to give 110% to them, especially through her ice cream. When the griffin stated his name, Cheery almost couldn't believe that she didn't introduce herself or ask the griffin for his name. She was crestfallen that she was unable to do that after chatting his head off and not letting him speak, but she was just too excited, she didn't think clearly. Cheery fought to control herself as she spoke in a calm voice, friendly voice. "Oh, terribly sorry I didn't ask for your name. I was just so excited to see a griffin come into my ice cream shop, and I just couldn't hold my enthusiasm. Nice to meet you, Mr. Razor, My name is Pleasant Flurries, but everypony just calls me Cheery, as it says on my sign outside." She then stepped over and shook Razor's talon again, just as furiously as before as if they just met. Afterwards, she gave him a big, friendly hug. Gotta make him comfortable and happy, right? After all, that was her number one priority! Cheery had also noticed Razor was a bit of a grump, but that really didn't bother her too much. A little more of the old Cheery Charm and he would laughing and smiling away with the ice cream store owner! Cheery then started to pay attention to Razor again as he was trying out her ice cream for the first time. She held her breath, hoping that the Zap Apple ice cream would get a good review. After hearing his response, which was less than desired to Cheery, she heard that Razor never had ice cream before. Now this was some news to Cheery. She thought at first the griffin was here as some ice cream tester from the land of Griffins, but apparently not. Mabye this was way Cheery got a less than desired review from her ice cream. He really wasn't what she would call an ice cream connoisseur. This intrigued Cheery a bit, and entailed her to question Razor about his whereabouts. "Wait, really? You never tried ice cream before? At first I thought you heard of me and came flying over to try out my goods. You must have stopped by to try some for your first time, I suppose. Are you new here in Appleloosa, or did you just not decide to try out my ice cream until now?" Cheery had completely forgotton about what she was just doing moments ago, forgetting about her other gifts and just focused on the strange griffin, who peaked her curiousity. She held a puzzling look on her face with a hint of wonder. She really wanted to know this guy's roots.
20. "Oh boy! A griffin as my first customer! I have to make something extra special for him, and I have just the flavour for him!" Cheery spent as little time as she could to make her complimentary gift she always gave to first customers. Today she thought she would try a new flavour she just came up with. After spending about ten minutes in the back, Cheery came out with what she wanted to give to her new griffin friend under the snow white glow of her magic. She made her way back to the counter with a big smile and set down her gifts for the griffin. Their was what looked like a small bowl of brightly coloured ice cream, a small fan of some sort, and a small yellow and red box with a pink bow on top. It was hard to tell what exactly it was, except that the box was about as big as a simple flower pot. "Alrighty then, Mr. Griffin. Sorry about the wait, but I wanted to make this special for one of my first griffin customers! First off is a small sample of what we have to offer you!" Cheery picked up one of the gifts, a small bowl of ice cream with sprinkles and chocolate sauce. What the ice cream was made of, was the interesting part. The ice cream had all the colours of the rainbow all in one scoop. "Now, I have to offer a special ingredient I got all the the way from Sweet Apple Acres, in Ponyville! Have you ever been there before? Anyway, this flavour is from a fruit called a Zap Apple. The kind ponies up there sold me a few jars of their Zap Apple Jam, and I managed to turn it into an ice cream flavour." Cheery then thrust the small bowl towards the Griffin. Even though this was a new flavour, she knew that with her many years expertise with ice cream would pull through and have a new winning flavour to sell. Afterwards, she would introduce the griffin to her other complimentary gifts that she had to offer. And she could take all the time in the world, because it looked like nopony else wanted ice cream or fans at the moment. "Go ahead and tell me what you think. Only the best for my new griffin friend!"
21. Cheery didn't have to wait very long for the first customer to come in. It was almost like he was waiting just outside of the store, waiting for some fresh ice cream! When he came inside the store, she was shocked to see an actual griffin stop by. She never really seen a lot of griffins stop by in Appleloosa, much less come to buy ice cream from her. She also saw him shift a little, probably due to the temperature. That normally happened often too. One second you find yourself on the hottest day in Appleloosa, the next you find yourself thinking it's Winter when stepping inside her ice cream store. She stopped to consider why a griffin of all creatures would stop by for some ice cream. Mabye it was the fact that he liked ice cream and wanted some. Ooh! Or mabye he heard of her store from far away in Griffinland and wanted to have her godly ice cream because he heard of how good it was! Cheery was overcome with joy at the thought of such an exotic creature stopping by to sample some of her treats! Before she knew it, she ran up to the griffin and grabbed his talon in her hoof and shook it up and down furiously. "Hello Mr. Griffin! I can't begin to tell you how honoured I am to see one of your kind here! You must have heard me from far away and wanted to try out my amazing ice cream, right?" Before Cheery could continue being the hyperactive mare that she was, she stopped and let out a gasp. "Oh, silly me! I forgot to tell you that you are the first customer of the day! Hurray! Now, I need to do something amazing so you'll be sure to go home to your griffin friends happy! Now, stay here and don't move! I need to get something extra special for you!" Before she knew it, she was out of the store front and into the back, where the kitchen was, preparing something extra special for her griffin friend. She never even stopped to ask his name, tell him her name, or anything! She was just too excited!
22. Pleasant "Cheery" Flurries Today was yet another wonderful, sunny day in Appleloosa. Normally ponies from the small town wlouldn't say the same, as Appleloosa was always sunny. And hot. Oh so hot. The heat would normally affect the hard workers who take care of the town's apple orchard, or any other job requiring to work outside making it really tiring to work in due to the sun, as Cheery would say. That's what Pleasant Flurries works towards, what she wants to achieve. To make the hot, sunny town of Appleloosa bearable with frozen treats and ultra-powered fans, spreading chills and balanced temperatures everywhere! And that's what she does everyday with her pride and joy, 'Cheery's Ice Cream Emporium of Wonders and Fan Store', an unnecessarily long name, but Cheery believes that a long, colourful title always brings in the most customers! So, in order to work at her pride and joy, first she needed to get out of bed, which Cheery was currently failing at. "...W-Wait Mr. Bunny...D-Don't leave with my pancakes..." Cheery continued to dream... well, whatever she dreams about, and sleep past her alarm clock, which was still ringing away without disturbing Cheery somehow. The clock continued to go off for another twenty minutes before she finally snapped out of it. "...Thanks for the nice...Wait, what's that ringing...?" Before she knew it, she was out of bed with a panic-ridden look and a messy mane and down the stairs. "What in the name of Celestia's wrong with me!? I've never slept past the clock before!" She stopped by the kitchen and got what she needed, set up her counter, cleaned up missed messes from yesterday, and flipped the 'Closed' sign to 'Open' all in about in a span of about ten minutes. She had been doing this all of her life, setting up an ice cream shop, so it wasn't too hard to cover all of the bases. "Good, good. I'm not too early, not too late. I'm fine, noponies going to be angry." Cheery took her spot from behind her counter and took out a necessary piece of equipment, the menu, and placed it right near the cash register. Cheery didn't need to look at it to know what the prices were, as she memorized them all. Single scoops were three bits, doubles were five, waffle cones were an extra bit, and her special super-powered, custom made fans were fifteen. Ponies could just ask what flavour they wanted, she had them all. No stone was unturned when it came to ice cream flavours. She had all the basic's and even some strange ones that she came up with herself, that were surprisingly delicious. Keeping a cool head, Cheery stood by the counter with a huge grin on her face, ready to greet the first customer that came through. She had a nagging feeling that she forgot something, but wasn't sure what it was. With a messy mane and matted coat, Cheery hoped to give her first customer of the day the best start to the morning as she could.
23. Hey there, since my character has finally been approved, I was wondering if I could enter her in this RP. This is her profile: http://www.canterlot...flurries-ready/ Hopefully you're still taking players
24. ...Well then. Alright, I'll take it. I didn't expect my character to be accepted so quickly and not have anything needed to change. Thanks for the quick approval Oh, and thanks for the warm welcome Mojo, I'm sure I'll love it there!
25. Thanks for the answer, StarSwirl! I'll keep that in mind for when I want to change some things for accepted apps. So, umm, not to sound impatient but do you guys have any more feedback for Cheery she can be accepted?
